The fee is not an issue for my good care . . . the quality of my care is. I want a doctor who will discuss my best interest and options, then follow up after prescribing any medications to me . That way my system would have had a chance to absorb and adjust to new medicines and I can discuss any ill effects I may be experiencing. I enjoyed my visit and follow up. Doctor only gives you 2-3 months and makes you return for a doctors visit every 2-3 months , I would suggest looking elsewhere , after going to some dispensaries in the area she is know as the only doctor that give you less than a year.

She listens to me..like actually listens to me and isnt one of those pushy doctors, and doesn’t rush... it’s nice to find a doctor who doesn’t act like your an inconvenience! Very knowledgeable as to what your different options are and beliVe me , when it comes to mental health you want someone who knows what they are doing and she does!! As a woman that has struggled with mental health issues for the greater part of my life, I've encountered many mental health professionals. Unfortunately, not all my experiences have been great but I love Dr. Williams. I know that I would not be on this earth today, living and functioning if it weren't for her. I have been seeing Dr. Williams for almost ten years. I have followed her through different locations because of the professional and excellent care with a very appreciated personal touch that she has always given me. I never feel that I'm just another client, I know she cares. At times when I had given up on myself, she encouraged and fought for me to continue to fight. And I'm so glad that she has. I have so much respect for her as a doctor and African American woman that is consistent and reliable with the care that she always provide. I could go on and on but I'll just end by saying that she has been a true blessing in my life and I pray that she continues to bless myself others. Unfortunately, the wait for a call back to get an appointment and the wait time once there can be a toss up.

Normally I would not do a review or complaint publically because i do not like confrontation however, dr Williams is the most unprofessional doctor I’ve ever met. I came to her to seek medical help for depression and aniexty and without actually listening she prescribed medicine. Okay fine, I tried the medicines and they did not agree with me at all. When I told her she UPed the dosage. Then introduced me to medical cannibis for my RA. Great, it helps a lot. However. She charged me for an appointment and only certified me for 3months. She told me it was a LAW to be re certified every three months. After finding out this was not correct it was very frustrating. After my husband leaving a review previously on google. She called me from her PERSONAL cell phone to question me about my husbands review and asked that I have him take it down. That is when she told me to find a new doctor if he would not. She was unprofessional. She did not listen to me or my wishes at all. I refuse to take benzos and she insist on me taking them along with pushing opioids. She is all around a terrible doctor. I would not recommend her practice. I bet if you lined up her patients in a line they would all have the exact same prescriptions. I don’t know how she can even process every patient considering they go in and out every 4-5 min. It’s a sweatshop there. There dr Williams, give me a call about that?!?

I had a really bad experience. The receptionist is not friendly and the doctor does not act like she cares at all. The $200 is standard with the prescription but $100 follow up is crazy and not required at all. If I had an option, I would choose a different place. If you come on time, either way you are waiting for 30 min extra for a 10 min appointment.

This is possibly the kindest doctor I have ever been to. She really listens and tries to get the root of the problem, not just a quick fix. It seems that the negative reviews are from people who did NOT get to dictate their meds. I understand why people have seen her for 10 years and follow her around. She really is that good! Was looking for a psychiatrist of color to help me with managing depression, anxiety and binge eating. Did not do a thorough intake, as a matter of fact, within 5 minutes, she was telling me what I need to take and do for my depression without having asked any questions. Doesn't appear to take interest in involving her clients in their own care. Very short and doesn't listen or show much empathy. Prescribed meds, and when telling her the side effects experienced, wanted to go up on the dosage rather than find something else. I knew she was not the doctor for me when I expressed a desire to utilize some of my own strengths to help manage my issues, and she said "you shouldn't have to use your own strength, that's what medication is for". I got a second opinion after not seeing results from a way more thorough and professional psychiatrist who was appalled at the medicine she put me on for the binge eating. I am much better now. So put it like this, if you just need a drug dealer to sling drugs to you, this is your doc. If you are an informed and/or empowered patient who wants to be involved in your own care, run in the other direction.

I have been seeing Dr. Yura Williams for several months now. I believe she is an excellent psychiatrist and very knowledgeable about her craft. She has always been pleasant with me and attentive to my needs. No wonder she comes highly recommended by other healthcare professionals! One major thing I like about seeing her as y psychiatrist is that she takes time to listen to my issues which I know are usually not within her scope as I have a psychologist whom provides these needs. From my 1st visit with Dr. Williams, about a year ago, she makes me feel at ease, her office is cozy and the office manager is kind. Dr. Williams helped me accept that it's okay to change; I am not the same person I was before my daughter was born. My depression and anxiety started when materity leave ended 8 years ago. Dr. Williams is personable; with each visit she makes me feel like she knows and understands me a little more. She has shared her personal stories and relates them to my situations. I will say that Dr. Williams is very direct at obtaining the information necessary to make an accurate diagnosis. She also appears to be aware that there are other patients in the waiting room and that time is of the essence. She uses time management and has a pleasant disposition. I would recommend her for anyone who is serious about emotional stability and reclaiming their life.

Don't waist you time or money with this women if you're seeking help getting certified for Medicinal Cannabis. A friend of mine went and she was turned down and Oh Yea, she kept her $200 fee too. My friend had all her paperwork from several of her doctors and this Dr. Williams said she had to try opiods first and if that didn't work she could get Cannabis. Well that's so bizarre because don't we already have an opiod problem as it stands now? I won't take opiods and that's why I'm trying Cannabis and so far so good. This Doctor is NOT An Asset to this process. She also made my friend get a note from one of her doctors, which she did, but that's not their job. I have top notch doctors, but they're not getting involved in this, why should they. My process was so easy breezy and I really like my doctor and I was certified within 2 weeks. I have talked to many people at Dispensaries and such and I've only heard of two getting turned down, but they received the $200 back. Everyone was appaulled by this. I could go on, but I won't, but I thought the doctors that signed up for this was supposed to know what they were signing up for......BTW I wouldn't have put any star here, but seems you have to enter one to post.

I have been suffering from depression for many years. i went to dr williams who adjusted the dosage on medicine I was already taking. She did prescribe a few other changes which removed all symptoms and i feel great. I would whole heartily endorse dr. williams and her helpful staff

1st i dont ask for help well, but Doc, Williams made it easy. I first met her while help my partner get better, then I realized that she is the kind of person that truly listens and works to help you improve your health the best with out too much meds, I have never known a Dr who calls at 1130 pm if that is what is needed. I have been seeing Dr.Williams for 3 years and she has been the best psychiatrist I have seen in 20 years . I live with several chronic physical diseases that exacerbate my depression, anxiety and adhd. Dr. Williams is very educated when it comes to medications and the right combinations of medications, she listens to my input and I truly feel that my doctor and I collaborate on my treatment plan. I would also like to mention Dr. Williams assistant "Jessie" on several occasions I have literally been standing at the pharmacy with a problem and have called the office to get a med issue straightened out and Jessie has taken care of everything on the spot - preauth's breeze through faster than any other doctor I see.
