I do not recommend the doctor, but his Physician’s Assistant (Amanda) is excellent and seems to care about the wellbeing of patients. When I had my appointment with Dr. Altahir he seemed annoyed that I was taking so much of his time and was deeply offensive in asking me if I was transexual multiple times in different ways. I’ve never ever ever gotten that before. My first name is a males name, but I’ve always gone by my middle name. I told him that, and that I’m not trans, but I guess that was not enough of an answer for him and he proceeded to ask me if my middle name was my legal middle name. I understand that he may have needed to know, but I thought it was unprofessional and extremely concerning to continue to ask. I was very uncomfortable. After the initial appointment, I saw the PA, but stopped going to the practice ultimately because of how I was treated by the Doctor, and also because of an issue with a late appointment. Never again!

The phone system definitely needs improvement as I've never been able to call and get a live person. Sometimes I've had to wait half an hour to an hour past my appointment time to be seen. Despite this I still would and have reccomended their services as their doctors are committed to your well-being.

Excellent medical attention. My daughter and I see the same doctor, Dr. Van Eyck and he has been a life savior for both of us. He is a very knowledgeable doctor, he understands as parent and also gives you the insight of what to expect of all medications as options. I cannot be happier with his services.

Office staff rarely picks up the phone when you call, but does a good job of returning calls on the same day. Jessica is wonderful though... As for the doctor, the PA-C Amanda is really chill and listens to your needs when she is at the office, but shes been late for her morning appointments on several occasions, so maybe afternoons work better for her. As for email correspondence, it's a mixed bag. Some days it's smooth sailing, but other days it's like performing oral extraction surgery on a baby. Until things improve, my review stands at a very generous 2. Otherwise I will change doctors.

Getting a hold of this place is an impossible task. I was on hold waiting for someone to pickup for 35 minutes and it fut me off, I called back and was on hold for 38 minutes than the phone cut me off again. This is the worst place to call and attempt to speak with a live person.
