Not empathetic and abandons patients.

I saw Dr. Forrester for about a year. Never really clicked with him. But only saw him for medication once a month. But when I did see him, I never felt comfortable. As I would be talking, he closed his eyes like he was sleeping or board. I found this rude and unprofessional. After a year I changed Doctors. I called to cancel last appointment. 8 months later I got a call from him at work wanting to know were I was and why I had not been in to see him. Was kinda weird. I mean 8 months, no call. Could have been dead for all he knew. Then to call me and treat me like a child. He was upset we didn't talk first. Really?!!! Found a wonderful new doctor. He definitely has no bed side manner. And is quite rude.

I am a skeptic of doctors in general, and Dr. Forrester is one of the only doctors that I have ever truly trusted and respected. He has been treating me for 6 years. I have recommended him to several people and will continue to do so.

Dr. Forrester has provided me with first class treatment for over 5 years now. He listens carefully. He has prescribed medications that have vastly improved my illness and my life. He closes his eyes sometimes, but that is a sign he is listening very carefully. I would recommend him to anyone. I have continued as his patient even though now I drive about 2 hours to see him. He is still an enigma to me because he never lets the conversation turn to him, ever. I realize this is a sign of high professionalism.

I have been seeing Dr. Forrester for 20 years. As long as I never questioned his treatment, everything was fine. But when I entered the most difficult time of my life he became distant and rude. I have been on Effexor for most of those 20 years and just recently found out that it causes memory problems. I have spoken to him about weaning off of the Effexor and he suggested I do it in four weeks. Everything that I have read about going off of this drug suggests doing it at a slow pace because the side effects are quite bad. I called his office yesterday to find out by recording that he will only be in his Timonium office once a week on Fridays. I talked to his assistant today and she told me he is practicing in Pasadena. I am not equipped to make it to Pasadena. I received no correspondence about this change. I left a message yesterday asking him to call me and more than 24 hours later, I have not received a call. I can only assume that he has abandoned me after 20 years.
