Right now this business gets a rating of 2.2 stars out of 5 and the rating was based on 13 reviews.

These people are the absolute worst. They are used to dealing with addicts and they treat every single person there as an addict. Even when you are on medicine that has withdrawal effects that will kill you. I am so furious with these people and their disregard for the patients well-being that I am considering a lawsuit.

I'm on medication that is dangerous to not have especially pregnant and they've let me go now for two days without a call back or anything. Never had a refill fall on a weekend with a holiday before and no one wants to help I have siezures without my medication, you think they would check on their patients well being

I remembered my time at McGeachey Hall from an estimated 30 years earlier. They were good to me mostly while I was still a teenager in 1991. It all came downhill in late 2007, but by 2010, I switched over to a different clinic near my residency in Westbrook. Once I moved back to Portland in late December 2011, I have really severed my ties from all psychiatrists in 2012 and a year later, my psychiatrist had turned my friends against me for no reason after a personal misunderstanding. I have yet to reconcile with my friends after being off their grid for 6-plus years. While I was in the place for dirtbags (McGeachey Hall), I was on some worthless medication---the same medication I thought would help me with my schizophrenia (though I do have some degree of bipolar tendencies), especially with paranoia that I had to contend with from time to time. From Seldane to Melarill, to Thorazine, to Thiridozine, to Congentin, and to my final medication, the infamous and most controversial pill known as Risperdal. I have been using Risperdal the longest in my lifetime for like almost 20 years, but after I heard about the side effect (besides drowsiness) would put me at risk for diabetes. I have discontinued that pill regiment altogether and avoid all of them for good, and never looked back since. The last thing I ever want to do is to disgrace my brother and most recently my stepfather---who I never met in person. since they're both diabetics. I had to prevent myself from being one so I won't end up like them. The point is I want to run McGeachey Hall out of business for good. I am sick and tired of their deception, and I am fed up with their lies and BS. Their uncaring corruption has really destroyed our relationships and social lives, and I have lost all trust for them. Would somebody please shut down McGeachey Hall permanently?

McGeachey Hall has posted no smoking signs outside of their entrance on Vaughan St. I support the concept of a smoke free entrance but the signs have forced all those smokers to walk across the street and smoke in front of privately owned condos. It's disgusting and a very unneighborly policy leaving us to deal with all the smoke. Please consider changing your policy and provide a smoking area for your own patients that doesn't disturb others.

They dish out Gabapenton (dangerous drug) with a ton of lawsuits on it like candy! They prescribed me a similar "mood stabilizer" that gave me dangerous side effects" The doctors here are short term residence. And compleatly uninvested, which is why I know non of them will read this. They aren't invested in their patients and are only getting what they need to get through school. After two years of trying meds that made me sick and a misdiagnosis of bpd. I am now at a different clinic where I was diagnosed with narcissistic abuse syndrome and cptsd due to the abuse in the relationship i was in during my treatment at mcgeechy hall. Mcgeechy throws the bpd diagnosis around as much as they do gabapentin, and preach non stigmatism but are more guilty than any of it. The NPD abuser i was with and the reason for my time at mcgeechy, attended many of my appointments with psychiatrists, manipulating them as well and peepetuating the abusive situation I was in. Considering this clinic claims how knowledgeable they are about personality disorders, u would think someone would have caught on to the abusive dynamic. Problem is. The "professionals" there are inexperienced and clueless. the thing that disappoints me, is that I doubt anyone who works there will read this and do the research to understand what happened, and that their professionals helped perpetuate my 2 years of extreem psychological/emotional and sexual abuse. It will take me a long time and therapy to deal with the cptsd that resulted from their neglagence. This place breeds malpractice! Oh, except for Dan in the partial program, the only real empathic person I met in the staff at any point. Thanks to him at least for not treating people like another number!

A family member has been receiving services there for more than 15 years. Mostly positive experiences. The new policy of not letting one into the building if your name is not on the security guard's list has been off putting.

It’s sickening how they think that they’re helping people from McGeachy. From therapist, to psychiatrist, to the partial program. Mental health care in Maine has shown to be below abysmal. One star!

Their workload is so dense that the counsellors/doctors don't even remember anything about you when you go for your appointments. It makes counseling useless if you can't sort of establish a relationship :( I succumbed to my depressed ways and stopped going.
