I still have nightmares about this place 4 years later. Please do not send anyone here. It is pure torture and torment. Even thinking about it makes me cry all these years later. I hope it is shut down. It is only causing pain to people who are already suffering.

Our adult daughter was evaluated at SS for depression, anxiety and the resulting complications of Rx meds. It was tough, a real wake up call but very instrumental in getting her to the next level for treatment. The Administrator, Eric and SW, Kate, met with us to address our questions and concerns. They were very supportive and Eric even called to check on her after discharge. The Nursing staff was compassionate and helpful. At times, the Tech Staff might have communicated more clearly, with clients, regarding the daily schedule.

I don’t understand why people are giving this place bad reviews. My experience there was so much different. Every staff member I came in contact with treated me like I was a real person- that I mattered. No, it’s not aesthetically pleasing because it’s an older facility. It’s not gourmet food, but it’s nutritious. I went to DETOX and get help for serious depression, not to stay at a Hilton! Nurse Hope, Nurse Heidi, Dr Atlari and all of the techs (especially Tamika) were very caring and always made time regardless of how busy they were to check on me and how I was doing, not to mention that’s how they were treating other patients as well. They kept my wife informed as well. I can’t tell you how much that meant to me and my willingness to get sober, it also gave me the strength I needed to open up and face my own demons. I hope if I ever go back, it’s as a visitor to tell the staff how much I appreciate them.

My daughter was in this facility. Not all of the experiences that she had was positive but I only want to comment on the positive. One nurse in particular named Hope was very kind and caring. She made the difference in my daughters time there. She was concerned, compassionate and truly was there for the patients needs. It was evident that she took pride in her job. As a mother during this difficult time it made my heart more at ease to know that someone like Hope was there making sure that my daughter was being treated kindly. Thanks Hope, you will never fully know how much you touched my heart and my daughters soul.

I was a patient there 4 yrs ago....it was the most God awful experience I’ve ever experienced. Accommodations were worse than poor and male orderlies would walk the female block hallways at night after bedtime....did not sleep for 5 Days. PLEASE, if you have a daughter, do not send her there!!!! I was committed for depression and they cold turkey stopped my benzodiazepine causing a SEIZURE on day 4. Everyone with any medical background knows that is a high risk side effect when immediately stopping. Even my family who committed me consulted our attorney regarding neglect and medical malpractice! After my seizure they put me in a wheelchair ALONE in the back room. My hands, knees, face & tongue were bleeding as a result. Thank goodness my family was there for visiting hours & demanded I go to a REAL HOSPITAL after mom going belistic they finally called EMS. While I am glad I went Bc I am better, I WOULD NEVER send a loved one there! I gave it 1 star Bc there is nothing below to choose from!

Worse psych hospital I had ever been in. The staff was very rude and very unprofessional. I was also very sick with UTI, couldn't move, fever, and in lots of pain. I stay in the bed for four days before seeing a doctor and still didn't get treated for the UTI. Never again. I rather die before I go there again. Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge is the best psych hospital I had ever stayed in but there was no beds available at the time I was admitted in Seaside. TWO THUMBS DOWN DOWN DOWN.

Horrible management and a miserable place to work. Overall, coworkers were enjoyable and most really wanted to do a good job and attempted to provide quality patient care. Administration did nothing but blame and finger point; no appreciation for employees that performed their jobs well.

Has bedbugs. Check your bed.

This place is not for anyone who has possibilities of a positive future; and that's exactly how they treat all of thier patients. The physical condition of the facility is way below par and the staff have little to no interest to do what they have paid to go to school for and also being paid to do as a job. I will never forgive myself for letting my mother walk through those doors. This is not a place you send someone you care about.

Not a great place at all. My husband was in there and they held him longer than needed. He came home very hungry and hurting. He said that hogs eat better. Staff was very unprofessional. This place needs to be shut down ASAP

Zotanique Richard

This is the most God awful place in the world I gave it one star because there is nothing below one star it is very unclean and male's and female's walk on each other's side the staff is very rude and they don't even clean the rooms everyday it was a horrible experience that I don't want to experience again this is not a place you go to when you need help because this place really makes it worse I really feel sorry for the people in there they even forget to give you your medication in there and the food is very horrible
