I’ve never seen more than two people in there at a time so no wait times & no hard time making appointments! Yes!!! I saw Mark Shoptaugh & had my ups and downs. Often he’d point at his watch to Remind you that your 25 minutes was up (& that he was NOT a therapist) but if you didn’t talk enough would say you weren’t compliant. Not a bad guy but more often than not, I felt as though there was a sensitivity chip missing. Later into treatment, I found out His “nurse” was in fact, not a nurse at all. It’s his wife. Which is no problem if it’s strictly booking appointments but several times I was asked to relay my sensitive information & history to her (someone I believed to be medical personnel) just to get in touch with my doctor!! I found that SO unethical & it made me feel extremely uneasy. (As Medical conditions are not subject for pillow talk.) When called to get info on how to file a complaint, Dr Shoptaugh and his wife both immediately called back (separately) and BOTH FLAT OUT REFUSED to give the information to do so. Cute little place, though.

Saw Mark for a few years. Personally not a bad guy, however, always had a sense of uneasiness around him. Totally detached, seemed to not have a sensitive bone there, came off sort of like he was in a hurry to get you out of his office. I visited him on a every couple month basis and each time I was dreading it. Definitely didn’t feel like you were sitting with a doctor who worked in mental health. He stated he wasn’t a therapist, to his credit however was definitely not the warm and fuzzy type of guy. I stopped going and reluctantly contacted to do a follow-up to which he replied he was not working with me anymore due to my no-shows(totally understandable). He made it easy for me since I was mainly only trying to schedule a follow-up with him out of guilt for not showing up the previous week so I’m glad I didn’t have to end it myself. Good guy, seems like a smart person, but wouldn’t recommend him to anyone.
