I went to him ONCE & the whole time I would try to talk to him about what's going on in my head he would always cut me off. He doesn't listen, he is VERY arrogant. He should not even have his own place of business. I would rather get help from a dog off the street. Atleast dogs actually listen.

I am a family member of an adult hospital patient and veteran to whom Dr. Mangat was consultant. I cannot imagine bringing a CHILD to this man. He is cold and arrogant. To illustrate by example, I repeated back what he said in an effort to clarify and insure understanding because his English is just barely understandable MOST of the time, but at times he lost me. Suddenly he condescendingly snapped, "What about this do you not understand?", as if I were the problem. I did not even initiate the conversation with him. I was in the waiting area trying to contact VA because the hospital and its social workers refused to do so. The nurse came and insisted that Dr. Mangat needed to speak with me. I told her that I was in the middle of another conversation, but she again insisted. He was of no help, and just wasted my time with lectures and condescension, telling me that my family member had no rights as a veteran for them to try to contact VA. When my calls to VA were returned the next day, I was assured that things I had been told by that hospital's social workers and by Dr. Mangat were not true.

Dr. Mangat is one of the best psychiatrists I’ve seen and I’ve been to many psychiatrists in my life. He tells it like it is - even if it’s not what you want to hear - because he wants you to get better. I trust him without reservations. Sometimes he’s tough, he gets on me when I don’t comply with my meds or my exercise routine, but he’s always right about it. I don’t know if I’d still be alive without Dr M.

He doesn’t listen. He stopped my medicine because I said I couldn’t afford an alternative medicine. He said I don’t have ADHD when every other dr I met with agrees I do and it’s obvious.

Best psychiatrist I have ever been to. He was able to give me the best quality of life with minimum amount of medication. It is very difficult to find a psychiatrist that doesn't over medicate you. From my experience, the man knows what he is doing. I just moved back to the area and am definitely planning to start meeting with him again.

i dont understand whats with all these degrading, horrible reviews but Dr Mangat is the most understanding, compassionate, kid loving, knowledgeable person i have met. He takes his time with me to get to the root of my problems. He is very attentive to both me and my kids and absolutely adores my kids. He has never been short with me or cut me off. we could spend hours talking. This is a doctor i could truly relate to and completely trust.
