I love him..great doctor

Dr Patterson is exceptionally talented. He's treated my migraines and cluster headaches better than any other neurologist I've been to. There's just one problem. You'll never get to see him. As a regular patient I have an average of 80% of my appointments cancelled by his staff due to emergency surgeries. I get an hour's notice at best, often no notice until I get there. It's difficult, since an emergency surgery is an emergency surgery you can't be too mad. That being said, the replacement appointments are weeks away (usually a month) and they get cancelled to. My record is 5 cancellations in a row. Like I said, he's great, but the office staff and appointments are plain miserable. Pray you get an answer when you call, because they leave early constantly, don't have an answering machine, and don't have call waiting. I've been hung up on more times than I can count. "Give me a minute to find an open appointment" *hangs up* I don' know what to do with them. I'm nothing but nice and this is what gets returned.

Dr patterson is the best n no drought he make me feel like a human being because he's a Christian man and treat people like he wants to be treated, he's staff mrs.terrie his nurse is a wonderful person that help you so much n mrs.linda are awesome people along with all his team!!

He cancelled my first appointment the day of...not much notice. His office called to reschesule me for 2:30 and told me to be there 15 minutes early. So, today, I arrived at 2:15. I sat and waited...at 3 I was finally called to the back to sit and wait. Finally at 3:45, an hour and a half after I was told to arrive, I asked for my scans and I left. Of course, he was just about to come to my room, is what I was told. I am completely disgusted that this man feels he can treat patients this way. I am calling my regular doctor for a referral to a different doctor who will respect my time.

If you want to see a nurse practitioner, this is the place to go. My father saw Dr. Patterson in the hospital 2 years ago when he had a stroke, but since then he's only been able to see the nurse. He re-scheduled an appointment he had in May because he wanted to see the actual doctor for a change. That appointment was yesterday. To both of my parents' extreme disappointment they were informed yesterday morning that he wouldn't be available after all and that it wouldn't be until September that he MIGHT have a chance to see the MD. This just seems unacceptable since the office sure does bill Medicare for a doctor's visit every time they go.
