I began seeing Dr. Higgins in early 2014. He is an amazing psychiatrist and truly cares for his patients. I have ALWAYS felt like he had my best interest in mind, was easy to talk to, listened attentively, and wanted to collaborate with me on my treatment plan. Unfortunately, he does not own this practice (Legacy Behavioral Health) which as of this writing (October 2018) currently employs a main office employee who recently verbally abused me and made very serious false accusations against me that make me no longer feel safe at Legacy Behavioral Health (Google "Legacy Behavioral Health Baton Rouge" to see my review regarding this practice's office staff). While I am in the process of switching psychiatrists, I will truly miss being Dr. Higgins' patient and would absolutely become his patient again if he were to work at a different Baton Rouge area practice.

I've been with Dr. Higgins since he was at the old location on Siegen Lane. He's a great doctor and his office runs really smoothly. I've never had to wait longer than maybe 10-15 mins on my appointment and his fees are very reasonable.

Dr. Higgins needs to evaluate his staff. His nurse practitioner Celeste Lewis makes judgmental remarks and is disparaging towards her clients. Hardly the personality suited to this profession. His office manager is in equal parts rude and unsympathetic to the paying customers/clients, people who are obviously there because they are IN NEED OF COMPASSION. She is a gatekeeper as well, and will not let you speak with Dr.Higgins or the owner of Legacy. Seek help elsewhere.

Dr Greeson was an incredible doctor and dedicated friend. We will all miss his bright, intensely creative, Genius, and his strong loving nature.
