This place is absolutely horrible!! The staff are nothing but ex cons and retards!! They absolutely do nothing for the people in there but treat them like they are not human beings!! I can't believe there is actually a place like this that is suppose to help people but instead they run it like a jail... This place should be torn down and everybody fired!! If they had Minus stars..It would be a 100 for sure..

Horrible they tell you nothing about loved ones even if you have a code!! I have been trying to get in touch with my fiancé for days and have left dozens of messages and still NOTHING! Everyone I talk to is rude and no one knows anything!

My son and I took his wife to. Our Lady Of Lake on Monday night for a mental condition. she has been dealing with.they desided she needed to stay.so we left her.they called and said she was going to baton rouge behavorial.well this is saturday.no word from her or her dr.or social worker.we call and they say she's got to give us a case #.what kind of case workers can let a mentally disturbed person make any kind desions on her health care.we re worried sick.is she well or being abused.or is she even there they won't tell us anything.are they that heartless .my son is her husband who has a right to know.she may be kept against her will and hurt.read the reviews.pray for her

Its afilllation office out of Plaquemine, la. Is the worst- I've went undercover to see how they treat people with Physical challenges- and what I've found out is so heart breaking on why the system is still funding its operations. People with mentally behavior should not have to put up with the way they treat the disabled. - So I'm asking Congress to shut them down- because our tax dollars is being funded to the wrong Social Behavior Clinic. These clinics are milking million of dollars out the system for what.

I was threatened by other patients as the staff did nothing. They actually would reward him with a cigarette and outsude time! They gave an 18 year old Subutex who had never taken drugs regularly. I watched this girls eyes roll into the back of her head. She was oding and they did not care. We watched her,to make sure she was ok. Then,a patient had a seizure. Actually,multiple seizures. Was unresponsive. It took them 15 minutes to decide to call 911. In the meantime,another psych PATIENT was assisting a clerk with the girl! I was beyond terrified. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS AT ALL! DO NOT GO HERE. IT IS STRAIGHT UP MEDICAID FRAUD. You never see the doctor,and when you ask anything,they always answer "I don't know". They also scammed me into signing something that put me in there for 3 more days,then told my family that I had decided to stay!!!! I DID NOT DO THIS! They told me I HAD to sign it to get out. I reported them to Medicaid for fraud,as they did this to other patients as well. I hope this place burns to the ground before they end up killing someone in there.

The Dr, staff they are trying their best to get my husband into a rehab hospital and they know they only have a certain day to do before his insurance is up. Also they really have a clean facility and to me it was comfortable as a visitor. I would also say that they try their best to do what In favor for their patient. With my husband he needs rehab they was going to let me drive him to a rehab facility myself but kept him in so that they may can find one to for sure take him so that his going straight from there to a rehab center cause once they leave there it's to late for them to do anything. As his wife I am pleased they are trying their best for him and if not said that once I get home I need to call a rehab everyday til one gets available.. I'm very happy with their help and they care enough to try their best to help him. IN MY husband's Case the emergency room sent him there and people have no options in that matter. But still they seem to be helping us the best they can. My husband gets to call me when it's phone time.They found a rehab for him to go right before he got discharged and that is a blessing. So happy he got help that he needed and I'm very pleased with the staff they were nice when I called and asked how my husband was doing when he stayed there. I guess it's all about different opinions but I know as for my husband they were able to help him. And his wife I'm thankful

Pretty rough but it's a MHU what do you expect it's not a plain hospital you're gonna be in there with some wild people and some cool people. You learn how to ride the fence. You can sneak snacks to trade for favors with some patients. The house buys ya smokes. Menthol and regulars so that's cool. 3 smokes a day and 4 on weekends. Tearing the filters out can help ease the crap you gotta deal with. If someone really is tryna hurt you just tell the nurse. If they even get loud with you they'll booty juice em. 3 meals and they're ok. Its left from br general. Tell the psychiatrist what she wants to hear and you'll be out soon enough. You only get 3 calls a day so dont waste em. Morn. Noon. Night. Bring clothes ypu dont like they always gettin stolen. Showers are alright. It's over all more chill than prison

I have seen this place from the outside and the inside and this facility is very unsanitary the psych techs are very disrespectful to the mental health patients the nurses and doctors are on excusable unhelpful to the patients as they choose not to do such. Just because the place is license by the state of Louisiana in health and hospice does not mean that this place is doing exactly what it is deemed to do so I feel that if a secret individual would be sent in to investigate this place you will see that these multiple reviews are not in accurate but very much so true. So I feel like sending someone in as a patient in or a employee would be Best thing to do at this facility why that individual is under cover investigating the multiple complaints and reviews. Enclosure add to as many others feel that this place should be closed indefinitely

I have attended IOP services with Miss Rene and it has really helped with recovery. Everyone who had completed the program and continues in the program is doing AMAZING! We owe it all to the IOP program Miss Rene, Mr. Dwayne and all of the staff at BRBH. Thank You.

The staff is horrible ! The young lady taking my brother blood was cold and had very poor communication skills. I asked her name and she lied. The lady at the desk told me her name was Jalisa... she acted as if she hates her job... she was so mean and callous. I removed my brother from the facilities.

My daughter just came out after a week there. Absolutely horrible. Very irresponsible staff. A young man that stayed there came out & killed 5 people. I'm sure if you think about it you'll know who it is. The state really needs to step in on this "hospital" .

I am a proud member of Baton Rouge Behavioral Hospital iop I was such a mess when I got there that when it was time for me to graduate I stayed extra time because I was not ready. Ms Renee and Mr Dwayne helped me so much with my mental state it’s unbelievable that I am this confident person that manages a sober living house and works a full time job and I owe it to my higher power, Ms Renee and Mr Dwayne. I thank them so much God Bless y’all and keep doing what y’all are doing because for the people who want recovery y’all rock. I love y’all

Was admitted here a while back wanted to detox from alchoal. Worst mistake ever. The techs here are horrible and don't care for the patience. There's mold and unsanitary conditions. The food they serve is horrible it's cold when you get it. My doctor names was doctor Bullock and he does not do his job at all. Wouldnt see patients so they can be released they keep you here to make money off you. This place needs to be shut down

Awful, awful. Awful !!! A no touch rule, so you cant hug your family member. The doctor changed my son's medication, he got worse everyday. I called and told them. Asked to speak to the doctor. Never did. Gave him 1,200/mth prescription for Latuda !!no way, on disability..absolutely crazy and he wasnt getting better on it in their controled care. After 2 weeks told he was being discharged, i said he is not well he is not stabilized. I refused to accept respomsibility of accepting his release. Do they just put him out on the street still sick.

Why is this place still in business? Its awful!! They have no program for people in their care, do not show any signs of concern for the people there, straight unprofessional! Committed my mother because she was intoxicated, and acting crazy... How can you base a "medical evaluation on a person that is intoxicated? Then not allow the family to know anything, and not show any signs of wanting to release her, over a poor desicion to drink to much. Plain bull crap.

This place is a dump. My daughter is there and I wouldn't send my dog there. Mold and Trash meet you at the front door and it smell of mold. I have pictures to prove it about to call board of health. This place needs to be shut down.

My Wife was in there for a mild panic attack, she got worse by the day. The other patients in there were threatening her and the technicians didn't do anything about it. It was horrible, and I could not do anything about it. Instead of Her being a patient, it was like she was a prisoner. I really do not understand a facility like this. Do not go there........ Try and find a place that will give you or someone you know a safer environment, research before you send someone here. Instead of trying to work with the patients based on the severity of there condition, they just put everyone together and sometimes it turns out to be a horrible situation. Please find somewhere else to go, you need to do your research in fending a nice facility.
