I trained with Dr. Amy Underwood at the University of Louisville. There was a general consensus amongst both fellow trainees and our supervisors that she was the best psychiatric resident. She graduated at the top of our class. Dr. Underwood has continued to perform at the highest level as a practicing Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She develops excellent rapport with the children she cares for, applies evidence-based treatments that work, and has consistently received good feedback from the families she has served. I personally believe that she is one of the top child and adolescent psychiatrists in the Louisville, Kentucky area and a wonderful resource for families who have children / kids struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or behavioral difficulties.
