Dr Hughes has been treating me for anxiety/ depression/ OCD for a decade now. I find him to be kind and empathetic. He explains his diagnoses in a clear, nonjudgmental way and I feel that he’s always sought to improve my wellbeing and health through our interactions. Many people I know are surprised when they discover that I’m being treated for psychiatric illness, and I’m quick to credit Dr Hughes for giving me my quality of life back. I recommend him to everyone who asks me for a recommendation.

This guy is completely in the pocket of employer work comp lawyers - opposing counsel setup my appointment with this quack and told me BEFORE I even went to the appointment that he would rate me at zero. That's exactly what he did. His report was unbelievably biased, unprofessional and unethical. If you see him for a work comp rating he will screw you. Disgusting man.

HE LIES, HE LIES, HE LIES, I recorded our session and later got the report that he made to Sedgwick claims management ( the people handling my workman's comp claim) he lied through his teeth to get my case dropped. I had a terrible concussion at work, I had experienced terrible memory loss and had headaches for months and my work had sent me to this man to get treated and he not only made me wait an hour in his lobby after I had showed up fifteen minutes early. He blatantly lied in his report and got my claim denied. I had to seek counsel elsewhere. I showed his report to two other health professionals (who in fact treated me) in his line of work and they both agreed that he lied through his teeth to make the claim go the way sedgwick cms wanted it to go. It is my opinion that this man gets a lot of work from injured work claims and he DOES NOT BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS HIM. So if you have to see this man because you have been injured on the job...... Secretly record it.....take your lawyer..... don't expect to get treated...... I almost lost my home, and it took a serious toll on my family life.

I've seen multiple psychiatrists and have gone through years of "trial and error" meds. I was referred to Dr. Hughes by a friend. For the first time, I feel like all of my issues were properly addressed. I haven't had to switch any medications since first being seen by Dr. Hughes approx 1-1.5 years ago. I never have issues with scheduling and am always seen in a timely fashion. He has even seen me over his lunch break when I needed a last-minute appointment. Dr. Hughes is also GREAT about responding to my pharmacy/health insurance with refill requests and/or denials. Seeking care under Dr. Hughes is one of the best decisions I've made.
