Absolutely unprofessional!!! Staff is as rude as can be. Do NOT recommend to anyone!
I first seen Dr any when I was 11 years old when he was working at Western Mo . This is the only Dr I have ever fealt comfortable with . Very kind and caring !
I'm sorry to hear about Dustin. But I think you're wrong. Dr.Anya Innocent seems to be a wonderful caring man. We get along well and he doesn't set off my anxiety. Infact thanks to the meds my bi-polar is hardly an issue. He increased my doses of just two meds. Started me off slow. I had a hell of a time adjusting to them but that's the nature of the beast. Now that I've given the meds the proper time to work I feel almost completely unburden by this awful mental illness. I can talk to girls. I don't get crazy manic or terribly depressed. I'm balanced and I haven't had to endure any chaotic shifts in my mood/behavior. I'm more organized all around and finally functioning properly. For me it was a small miracle. I owe my sanity to the good doctor. I just hope it keeps working. Sincerely Colin Barnes
Wont got to another Dr. I feel comfortable telling Dr. Anya my problems. He is very understanding. I even pay out of pocket to see him if my insurance doesn't cover his office. Worth it! Dr. Anya was able to identify my triggers and diagnose me very accurately from what I believe. I have been seeing him 4 years and I am glad. He changed my life for the better. I HAVE PTSD, Extreme anxiety, and severe depression. I feel more balance now.
We've been using Dr. Anya for 3 yrs now. He is very knowledgeable. He has been great while I've advocated for my daughter, even after she turned 18. He made special arrangements after he no longer took our ins. He gives us samples of expensive meds my daughter needed. After basically conning the good man at 17 to think she was "normal", my daughter was welcomed back by the Dr. Anya and his staff when she finally accepted treatment. She's comfortable with him and never wants to switch ever.
I do a great impression of him! :) He's been my Dr for 20 years now and doesn't look a day older! He's really terrific and really listens to my concerns! I'm so glad I found him all those years ago!
Would rate zero if I could. Unprofessional, lack of knowledge, incompetent.
ZERO rating. Went in to see him he charged 250.00 and he saw me for 15 minutes, THEN wanted to charge us 50.00 to fill out a few lines in disability paperwork. He proceeded to yell, and yell at us telling he would call the cops on us because we insulted his integrity. I have never, EVER been so disrespected in my life. I would rather cut my own arm off then to see this man again. The most unprofessional environment I've ever been in. And the threats. It's scary for a psychiatric Doctor to act like a wild animal, to say the least
Finally, a Doctor with an IQ that exceeds my own. Very intelligent. More than willing to discuss mental illness in detail rather play you for a fool. Anya is one of the best Doctors around. He gets 5 stars all day long.
When a doctor makes you feel very small & you are getting yelled at/accused and you feel vulnerable, scared it is not a good mix. Just another example of why I never speak up. I was having a good day but not anymore, I want to crawl into bed now
Horrible dr does not want to help you out won't listen to what is wrong and that the meds they give you don't work receptionist very rude wouldn't hear me out just a have a good day then hung up
Dr. Innocent Anya is a complete waste of time. You'll spend 80% of the appointment watching him slowly write things on paper because he never learned to type. He's more than willing to write you an RX but really doesn't want to hear your issues or worry about a holistic approach to solving them. As you can see, he gets kickbacks from numerous drug companies. If I could rate 0 stars I would.
One word “awful” his staff one word “rude” save your money and don’t go worst experience ever.
If you want to die, go to this guy. He frequently forgot what medicine I was taking and previous testing I had done. He will not put his licence at risk for a patient with suicidal ideations. He comes first, not you, and he will tell that to your face. His staff is unprofessional, bad talking every single call after its conclusion. Everyone in the waiting room is subject to this verbal, second hand assault.
I have been with Dr. Anya for at least 7 years. I can't say enough good things about him. He has been the best psychiatrist for my needs and emergencies. I wish I could give 5 stars, but I miss Julie running the office by herself and having a part time person to help out.
This man should not be in practice. I sat there in his small waiting room and heard his staff lie to clients with him right there. He and I had a falling out when he basically calles me a liar over a phone call I didn't get i asked him in front of a room full of waiting patients when he wanted me back he said when I felt I needed it turned around and went back into his office. I was speaking with his staff regarding the phone call and was asked to leave then I said I hadn't made my appointment yet and was told by his staff he no longer wished to see me. He also needs to go back to school and get a real degree he didn't have answers for several of my questions and suggested I look it up on Internet. Incompitent rude and very hard to understand!!
I had to changed doctors for my two son's because the previous doctor moved to a new location across town. I called Dr. Anya's office and they couldn't get me in for a month and a half. I only had enough medication to last me for 2 months but I went ahead and scheduled since it was soon enough. I arrive at my appointment time only to be told that they don't see children under the age of 12.... Would have been nice if you would have mentioned that when I scheduled a new patient appointment for my "children". Now I have to see if I can find a doctor that can get my kids in before they run out of Meds. Thanks a LOT!!!
I never had any issues, he's been wonderful and very helpful!!!
The first evaluation was professional, and very helpful for a quick diagnosis. One of my prescriptions required a prior authorization, the problem was resolved very quickly. He is very kind, and genuine, and cares about his patients.
I guess everyone has a different experience, but some of these reviews sound ridiculous. Dr. Anya is amazing. I would recommend him to anyone struggling. He actually listens to my concerns, and makes me feel comfortable when asking him questions without judgement . He’s SO smart and really wants to help his clients get better and find some relief. I won’t see anyone else except for Dr. Anya.
This review is strictly about the support staff as I was unable to get an appointment with Dr. Anya due to insurance incompatibility. The woman who answered the phone was quite curt and obviously didn't have time to be talking on the phone. She was rude and had no caring tone to her voice whatsoever. I am tired of calling mental health professionals only to be put off by rude receptionists who would rather be doing anything else than speaking with those calling to seek help. You work for a PSYCHIATRIST! People calling need HELP! Learn a little empathy, pretend to be a caring human being and be kind to those who call you. If you can't then please get a job where you have no contact with customers or patients. On the support staff alone and on a grade of pass or fail, this office gets a FAIL from me.
It’s unfortunate that I even had to give this establishment one star. The VA referred my husband to Dr. Anya for combat related PTSD/TBI. At first I was impressed because he requested I send him an email of my concerns and symptoms I am currently seeing. I wrote quite a bit and also included that we are in the process of applying for a service dog. We needed a signed form and letter from him stating my husband is fit to handle a service animal (we have had dogs of our own and have also fostered) and took me calling for over a month, multiple times a week to get an answer. Now that our application is almost expired, Candace (the administrative assistant) gets back on the phone and very rudely tells me Dr. Anya won’t sign anything until my husband has his next session. On top of that, he didn’t even respond to my extensive email of concerns about my husband. Not even a “thank you for your input”. It took weeks of me calling and being the squeaky wheel about this extremely important application before I even got an answer (why didn’t they just say this from the beginning?!), but he sure wasted no time writing my husband a prescription and sending him on his way the first time he met the guy. MAYBE, the mental health status of our vets and population in general would be dramatically different if our physicians would take a second to consider therapeutic options before throwing a bunch of medications at everyone and expecting those to solve everything!
I was 2 min late for appointment, said he would have to reschedule for a 15 min appointment. Charged my insurance 250, sent me a bill for 28.00. I said I don’t need your service. I have only talked to him once he has given me same meds I was already on. Tried to get me to do this stupid test for meds , which is his hustle , but has to be cleared with your insurance first. To make a long story short, this guy hustles people doesn’t use a pc writes in different pens , plays some stupid memory game with you. Don’t go to him don’t give him your info.
Great dr
Oml the receptionist is so RUDE!! People are calling to get help!
Was super nervous about seeing a doctor again, the doctor made me feel comfortable even tho he had to ask all the new patient questions. Would recommend to anyone.
Dr. Anya is the best doctor I've had in this field. He is looking after my best interests and concerns. The rude woman in reception no longer works there, so calling the office is not stressful. I was on medication that was not working and I had been through three doctors before I visited him. He immediately listened, and addressed my concerns. Most of all he LISTENED to my issues and asked questions before just slipping me a prescription unlike the other doctors, who spent five mins w me and had a "diagnosis". I can call the office and expect to hear back from the doctor himself or someone at the office who can answer my questions, not a voicemail.
My mother had a straight forward professional evaluation with Dr Anya and felt comfortable with her experience. Candace in the front office was very accommodating and kind. The only complaint was the stairs to get to the office.
After many years on a med, previous doc had never done any blood work to evaluate the effect of the meds on my system. As a new patient, Dr Anya realized this and requested blood work. At my next appointment he slowly explained all of the results to ensure I knew what each meant, my results and what was considered normal. He takes his time, is thorough, kind, and easy to talk to. His office staff are great and I appreciate the calm of the waiting room after previous experiences which were quite chaotic and busy. I'm glad I switched docs and recommend Dr Anya to others
A sign of a responsible doctor, at first he declined to see me. Why? My previous provider was prescribing irresponsibly. I’ve no doubt that provider meant well, but what he was prescribing me was killing me. After beating an addiction, Dr. Anya welcomed me and we started from scratch. He monitors meds well and prescribes common sense, too. He does not do hospital calls, but that allows his practice to be reliable. I am glad my GP referred him to me.
Have visited with Dr. Anya 3 times. He and his staff are very unorganized. I have been lost in his paper shuffle twice. Very unprofessional. I will move on.
He's very sharp. He can diagnose very quickly if you are truthful. I finally gave in to the idea i might need medication, and it has helped tremendously. I found him and his staff to be very professional
