Takes months just to see a doctor and when you do see one they don’t really talk things over with you when you explain what’s troubling you, they just prescribe you medication and if that doesn’t work we try something else. I live a hectic life between being on the road for work and having several things at home to worry about so I’ve forgotten about a couple appointments that I didn’t realize about until the next day or even 2 days later. They aren’t on top of their reminders they are supposed to give you and if you can’t get a hold of someone the first time to reschedule, good luck having anyone call you back. I’ve been marked for missed appointments because no one there will answer or call me back. After a couple missed appointments they refuse to treat you anymore. Doesn’t sound like people who really care about ones mental health and after one doctor refuses you they won’t let you see anyone else. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Make the drive and go somewhere else if you can.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The nurses were nice and the basic services on the ward were good but the doctor, Alan Whitters wanted to put me in a rehabilitation home and put me on medicines that were detrimental and not needed. I take my freedom and health very seriously. I don't think there is any place, or doctor in Cedar Rapids this is good for psychiatry.

So far a hell of a lot of better then the Abbie Center. This place is listening to what I am saying. They are actually helping me and are active on making sure I received the true help I need
