When I went there it was bad. I had to move to Kokomo from where I lived. It took almost 2 yrs to find a combination that worked for me. When I got to Kokomo they DENIED MY MEDS because oh we don't do that here. Why deny meds that I know works? They had no reason and let me suffer knowingly. Go some where else where the docs will listen and give you appropriate medication. They won't do that there because they deny proper meds simply because they are controlled. Literally no other reason. When I finally moved back to where I was originally I got my old doc back and finally got my meds. My moods controlled. I can sleep and my anxiety was cut in half. .also they have an insane therapist there. She's my mom. She forced me to allow her to be involved in my therapy under duress. She told me shed throw me out onto the street if I didn't allow her to. She told my therapist im borderline. I was there for treated for a disorder I don't have for yrs. That's gas lighting. They convinced me that that's what's wrong with me. They threw out my diagnosis of bipolar 1 because of her when that's what I have. It's going to be a long time till I'm ok due to her actions. And yes she still works there. Avoid this place

This Dr, as well as Howard Regional Health, was a complete waste of time and money. Went there for treatment of anxiety and PTSD that Ive had for quite some time after not liking my dr''s replacement after his retirement. After mandatory initial assessment and 3 therapy sessions needed before you can speak to the Dr I finally met him approx 2 months later. He's a complete idiot that pushes long term/daily drugs not wanted and constant /continual therapy that has not done a bit of good for me in the past other than when going through tramatic events that I've had in my life. I have never seen a Dr seem so ignorant in my life. I spent many years being a geanni pig with trial med before finding my last, very experienced Dr who helped me a lot without cramming daily med down my throat. That Dr helped me through 2 traumatic immediate family losses, and the worst days of my life. Dr Patel became angry and kicked me out of his office when I said I didn't want to try something new. He said I need to see a neurologist if I want help with my anxiety (which I have decided to try). But, what is a psychiatrist for then??? Also, his English is very broken and hard to understand. I do not see how he is a Dr at all.

UPDATE: Staff participates in electronic harassment of patients. A physician also tried to provoke an argument between me and my father. The women at the front desk ask the same things over and over and "fish" for personal information. They tell me one thing and tell my family members something Someone please contact someone about this. One of the physicians who works here tried to hurt me and at least one of them took actions that purposely caused me to post personal information online that has/could've put me in danger. They are currently committing Healthcare fraud by using special relationships with those same people who have wronged me. These actions, taken by community howard community behavioral health allow a victim's offenders to hurt them repeatedly, by hiding information and various forms of theft. ERG is a boring waste of money but when I go, they keep telling me I have to keep going and also see a social worker who is not really a licensed personnel. Could record patients and use thier interactions as a form of education to future providers (including those who could behave similarly). The results of such recordings could be a means to keep a patient from having a successful life. Tries to use a person's words against them to keep the person from getting thier own idea (or thoughts) across. Also, some of the staff that work here are not actually licensed personnel. Allows customers to cyberstalk and "terrorize" one another by "special" relationships that turn families and friends against each other. These actions are rewarded by staff as whatever sort of "carrot" to encourage particular (spelling may be different) customers to engage in actions I would consider stalking. They have a positive (in this example, "profitable") past relationship (meaning, that they would still have a relationship with) some of my past offenders). As an organization, they don't really support a campaign AGAINST domestic violence and instead, complete actions that "ignore" patient suffering (refusing patients medication, over prescribing medication, and creating confabulated scenarios for patients by function and in an almost 100% forceful way). I go here because I was referred here by a primary provider (who also has a relationship with those offenders who have caused me to feel less than human and have stalked me) (referring to a group of ordinary people)). Also, because the search results I am getting are being limited, I am limited to providers whose care is much less than extraordinary (such as those that work here). This whole action I am taking right now is some sort of "lesson learned" riot shown to cover up the theft of entire education programs by those providers, that a patient could (or would) normally expect to protect them. Edit: I am asked to write my name and date of birth at the top of assignments (in the group) even though the group leader told us, as a group, that we weren't required to write our name at the top of the assignment sheets so that we could remain anonymous. The group leader said that this addition to instructions was told to them by someone else who is (what I am assuming is) "higher up" than them. Staff is unprofessional and working under a false supervision named "Matt Oliver".

These guys are the best! Some of the more negative reviews I've seen have to do with either the time, or the course of action. The time it takes is long, because psychiatrists, especially for children, are scarce. Please be patient the staff is only there to help you.

I've been using the services of Behavior Health over the last 10 yrs. I've cried. I've laughed. I've met incredible therapists, Doctors, Assistants. They all have helped me, from living out of my car to owning my own home. I would never go anywhere else! ...I tried in different states, too. Didn't take long to come back!
