Clarity Clinic is a great practice for all of your psych needs! I’ve been coming here for about 6 months now and am impressed by all of the practitioners I’ve seen. Dr. Prasad and Brigid Dagenfield are great at what they do. Plus, scheduling is super simple with their online system and the reception team is always very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Clarity Clinic!

Colin R

Professional and they don’t keep you sitting around waiting like most doctors do.

Donald Ware

I have been coming to Clarity Clinic for several years now, and have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Prasad and the rest of the Clarity staff. Highly recommended!

Sarah Nowicki

I’ve been going to Clarity Clinic for a few years now, and it’s the first place I recommend to anyone looking to prioritize their mental health. I regularly see three providers there, who have been nothing short of amazing—such a wonderful support system. The front desk folks are always so pleasant, and after a few visits, will likely remember your name, too! Clarity Clinic has honestly been a lifesaver for me and I’m so happy to have found it.

I was struggling with serious depression and anxiety issues, and in just 4 weekly meetings I started to regain my sense of self-respect. This is a wonderful facility that will ACTUALLY make a difference in the way you live your daily life.

They didn’t call or text or email me to let me know that they don’t accept my insurance anymore. I asked do any proof that they did alert me, but they couldn’t. I live in the north, drove for one half hours there, didn’t even get to see my psychiatrist for a minute! Can’t even talk to her about all the transfer or recommendations of another doctor or prescriptions and stuff! No!!! They refused!!!!!!!! Really?????? That’s how you treat your patients? Patients you know are suffering from MENTAL ILLNESSES?????? Patients you know are struggling with everything in their daily lives????? I drive for three hours that day and got nothing, because of their mistake that refused to take responsibilities for. Angry and frustrated.

I do not usually leave reviews, but I believe it is so important to be open about Mental Health issues. I am a social worker and knew for a while it would be helpful to utilize mental health professionals to assure that I am able to help my clients as much as possible. I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to work with Dr. Sahar Eftekhar, a Psychiatrist at the River North CC location. I have been working with her for over a year and she has been nothing but a joy to work with. She is professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable in her field. She has always provided me with individualized and appropriate services and has given me great therapist recommendations. I truly appreciate her for making this difficult process as comfortable as possible.

I've been coming to Clarity Clinic for almost a year now. The staff is friendly and helpful, and Dr. Prasad is the best psychiatrist I've ever gone to. He tells it like it is but respectfully takes your input into consideration. He's been a lifesaver for me and I highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of honest and genuine care.

After 5 months of attending Clarity Clinic, all I have to take away is a severe misdiagnosis, a nagging hemorrhoid, and reaching my 2.5K BlueCross BlueShield deductible from a combination of $150 for (generic) Adderall a month and $280 appointments just to get those prescriptions written. My email to billing: "Thank you for letting me know the outstanding balance. I was under the impression you were going to discuss with Dr. Prasad any possible way to reduce the balance as finances were one of my main areas of concern for attending the clinic and also the source of my panic attack from the other month. If this is the case, I will need to speak to you and Dr. Prasad directly about this. I take full responsibility that I have an insurance that makes my financial situation more difficult, but this is why I voiced my concerns from day 1 that I needed to see a bill. Every single session with Dr. Prasad after that I kept letting him know how terrified I was but that I was still waiting to receive something to show me the balance. If I had known from the beginning the additional costs that are not included on the website's breakdown of fees then I would have stopped attending the clinic long ago so I would never have accrued this balance. After my panic attack over finances, I was assured that should never be a problem or reason that I don't seek help. Because of that, I scheduled another appointment because I needed my medication refilled. Again, if I had known that I would still be charged the full amount out of pocket, I would never have returned because I don't want to continue having panic attacks over this. I will cover the full cost if that's what it boils down to. Please let me know what I need to do so I can get it taken care of immediately. Attached are the amounts I saw on the website. Even my mom, a clinical psychologist, was confused why there would be two separate charges for each date attending the clinic." My response from billing: "I just applied a courtesy discount to your account. Attached please find a copy of the statement with the current balance. As far as the two codes billed on the same date-we follow the American Medical Association Billing guidelines for the services provided." I made a huge mistake by trusting a 'holistic' practice. The coding does not match the services. Don't even bother for a drop of empathy. The only shining grace from this place is a truly genuine therapist, Kristen Okrzesik. I hope all the best for her as she takes her patient's concerns to heart. I've never believed in writing something negative about an experience until this whole situation. See a psychologist and your primary care doctor if you're seeking help. Go here if you want to be taken advantage of and want prescriptions thrown at you.

The BEST integrated medical experience I have had in 25 years worth of doctors in this field. I can't say enough good things about the compassionate, straight-forward, and incredibly skilled professionals here. The office is modern and efficient, yet I always feel comfortable. Making and rescheduling appointments is very simple. They are open late and on weekends. Dr. Prasad restores hope. I HIGHLY recommend this clinic to anyone interested enough to be reading this review.

JD Montufar

Fred McCarty

Called in advance to say I would be late by 15 minutes for my appointment. Showed up 15 minutes late and was told I would have to reschedule. It was a medication review that takes 10 minutes. Very unhelpful and accommodating for a mental wellness facility. Jeanette Marinier was a capable PA-C but I will no longer be relying on or ever recommending this facility.

Amanda Garlich

Very professional, efficient and most of all compassionate; from the front desk to the doctors. One of the best psychiatry practices I have ever found.

Nagesh Devabhaktuni

My doctor and therapist are the best I've ever had. I'm actually excited to go back. Staff is very friendly.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Prasad for about two years now. I haven’t seen nothing but improvement in my profesional and personal life since the first time I walked in, and I am grateful for that.

**UPDATE: My husband spoke with Robert, the Director of Operations, who could not have been more understanding and helpful. He helped us resolve all these issues in a clear and timely manner. Thank you, Robert! Robert brought my review up to 3 stars, but I hope Clarity will work on their billing practices to help their patients understand what they are paying before going to a session rather than after.** I was told multiple times that my insurance was being billed and not to worry. However, after 3 visits (one of which was charged twice) I received a huge bill which stated my insurance would not cover any of my visits and that I was to pay the full cost. I called my insurance provider and was told they never received any claims from Clarity.

Andrew Long

Very happy with the team here.

I have been going to Clarity Clinic for over a year now and have nothing but great things to say. The entire staff at the clinic is very caring, helpful and professional. They take the time to address my concerns and answer all my questions without ever making me feel rushed or judged. I also love that they send text and email appointment reminders! I highly recommend Clarity Clinic to anyone seeking psychiatry services.

Laetitia Donaghy

I am beyond frustrated with the billing department. I started going about 6 months ago, and ever since they have been double and triple billing me for things, THANK GOD I keep all my receipts. I always pay with each visit, because nothing triggers my anxiety more than having outstanding bills looming. The way I see it, I'm gonna have to pay it anyway, so I might as well get it over with. NOT ONCE have I gone and not paid that day. For MONTHS now I have been getting piece of mail after piece of mail asking me for money. I have made COUNTLESS phone calls, just wasting my breath. I've spoken to the office manager. I've spoken to the person in charge of billing and my account specifically. Every time I speak to someone, I am told "Oh no, you're up to date, it must have been from the last cycle that hasn't been updated yet." I even wrote a letter, including copies of all my receipts, to no avail. They STILL cannot get their act together, I am dumbfounded!!! Do they have a high-schooler in charge of their billing department??? It's not that hard guys. When a bill is paid, you enter that in. Done. What did I get today?? ANOTHER bill asking me for $180 (the amount goes up and down and up and down by the way) THREATENING ME WITH GOING TO A COLLECTIONS AGENCY. You have GOT to be kidding me. I DON'T OWE YOU ANYTHING!!!!!! If this continues I think I will have to get an attorney, because this is starting to feel like harassment. This is at best gross negligence and incompetence, at worst purposeful and dishonest. God knows how many people they've over-charged. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC!!!!! YOU WILL NEVER STOP GETTING BILLS AND THEY WILL TRY TO TANK YOUR CREDIT WITH CREDITORS!!!!!

Libby Schleider Azuaje

Quick, efficient. Normal wait time is 5-10 minutes

Ryan Pedersen

I have battled many problems in the past 5 years and began to see Dr. Prasad about a year ago. He really showed his compassion for my treatment regularly giving me much more advice than previous psychiatrists who were merely prescription writers. Dr. Prasad is an excellent psychiatrist and I would recommend him to anyone. I also saw Ann Marie Sands as my therapist and after seeing multiple therapists prior to her, she was the first one to really get me to open up and make the huge breakthrough that I thought would never happen. Not only was Ann Marie a therapist but a friend.

Rachael Hess

Both Dinha and Dr. Prasad are amazing. I highly recommend them both to anyone who needs help. Dinha is great to talk to and Dr. Prasad takes patient care and safety very seriously.

Samantha LaFountain

I've had a really hard time with the staff at Clarity Clinic. Their billing department and really all of the admin staff seem to have no idea what is happening or how to do their job. I'm thankful I followed my gut after my one and only appointment and decided to not continue going there. They billed my insurance incorrectly saying they were out of network which at the time of my appointment they were in-network. Strange that they billed my insurance on 03/04 when this change with my insurance happened only, "Just a week ago" (according to Alexa -- front desk and Whitney -- billing department). My insurance has been contacting them and sending them letters to resolve this mistake they made, which their billing department admitted to the mistake but didn't realize it was a mistake until I brought it to them. My insurance seemed very aware of the mistake and has been trying to resolve it. This place provided very poor customer service and no one tried to take ownership of this mistake their clinic made and get an answer as to how this is being resolved. They just kept passing me to a new person. So if you have an anxiety disorder, I don't recommend this mess of a place. It will just make you more anxious.

This is a really great clinic ! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It is also in a great location. I have been coming here for almost 2 years and I am extremely happy with the service !

Really enjoying Clarity Clinic. Thanks staff are friendly and I've acquired 3 professionals at the Clinic as they grow and acquire more services. Definitely recommend.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with front desk and staff. Super convenient location. Billing department has also been very easy to work with and flexible. Would recommend!

Pill mill. Double, triple books appointments just to run as many hour long billings to insurance as they can. Everyone is in and out of each appointment in under 20 min. Prasad wants to diagnose you based on questionnaires, doesn't want to talk to you. He could care less. You are a dollar sign to him. Clarity Clinic represents everything that is wrong with the psychiatric/big pharma industry. Your mental illness is monetized. It's disgusting.

Emily Stone

Stephanie Brownlee

Amazing staff! I personally recommend Nicole and Lauren. The front desk managers are very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient. The place is run well and organized. It’s clean, modern, overall 10/10 place.

gabriela parra

Every time I have questions or worries about meds Dr. Bobak always listens and gives me the info I need to make a decision. She takes into accounts all off my mental health history. She is very caring and easy to get along with. I definitely recommend this location

So thankful to have found Dr Prasad and his staff. Everyone up front is so helpful and nice. Dr Prasad has diagnosed me for the first time in my life, correctly where other psychiatrists have totally missed. So so happy with Clarity Clinic!

Becca Benson

The doctors and therapists, etc are fantastic but I've never encountered worse office staff. I am somehow the only lucky one it seems but I have had nothing but issues with the billing department. Literally nightmares. I never get invoices after my appointments but they claim they are sending them, so then I forget because I don't get an invoice AND THEY SENT ME TO COLLECTION. No call, no second bill, nothing. And it's happened numerous times even though they keep claiming they're sending me invoices. Once, maybe twice, it's user error. But every single time, something is wrong. So I have to call billing and ask if I owe anything, but it's impossible to ever get anyone from billing on the phone so their voicemail says to call back to the front desk and leave a message, and the front desk REALLY hates taking messages for billing. They'll keep swearing someone is in billing and transfer you. No!!! I got a recording that said to call you and leave a message. So they'll reluctantly take a message but no one will ever call you back. It's truly a nightmare. But I love the doctors so much I keep going back like a sucker. I've now spent 3 days trying to get someone from billing on the phone to ask if I owe anything. No calls back but I betcha I'll get a collection notice!!!!!!

Words cannot express how amazing Clarity Clinics psychiatrist and psychotherapist are. Clarity Clinic really helped me through hard times in my life.

Obviously saw me struggle with my depression and self esteem due to my ADHD. I explained to her its a very big deal. I work with children and I do not have room for error. Discussed taking a different medication and I signed the forms. She needed the diagnosis papers, but my old psych did not have it. She could have easily called and asked the facility for a copy of the diagnosis. I've just been wondering what she has been doing these last two weeks.

Abbie Brasch

Super easy to make an appointment and I love my psychiatrist/PA. The atmosphere at Clarity Clinic is very calming. It's easy to get to and the staff is very friendly. I know that if I ever need anything I can give them a call and get in touch with my psychiatrist which is not usually the case at every practice.

Gretchen Oschman

I’ve worked with psychiatrists here and referred many clients here. Clients reported that Clarity has been consistently responsive and helpful.

Griffin Granberg

A loved one of mine goes here for psychiatry and psychotherapy (DBT). It’s been by far the best clinic for helping out. I often recommend friends to Clarity Clinic due to the success we’ve had. Dr. Prasad tells it like it is, is caring, and helpful — mostly he’s been successful helping us find, wait for it, clarity. Mary Jennings, PsyD has been most upfront, caring, and effective psychologist. As said before, I would never hesitate to refer anyone here.

Christopher Taylor

Fantastic place; quick in and out, easy parking, friendly staff. They listen thoroughly and use only the best treatment plans. It is definitely a great place for millennials who work near or in downtown Chicago. I will be going for as long as I can!

Michelle Starkey

I had an amazing experience with Clarity Clinic. The lobby of the office is cozy, smells amazing, and is modern and brightly lit, with a very warm, friendly receptionist. I waited maybe 5 minutes from entering the building to seeing my psychiatrist, Dr. Bobak. She was attentive, didn’t rush our session at all, and truly listened to me as she worked to understand my symptoms and struggles. We were able to agree on two new meds and she was very thorough in explaining the “why” behind why she thought these would be best for me. She allowed me to play an active role in deciding which meds might work best based on my past experiences, while guiding my choices and our conversation with a warm, professional tone that made it easy to open up and be honest about what i needed. She provided solid education on the differences between potential meds, and how different meds might interact w my brain chemistry and body. i would recommend clarity clinic in a heartbeat. i had to schedule a month out for an initial appointment, but that’s to be expected around the holidays and for such a quality practice. i made another appointment for a follow up in 3 weeks. Amazing staff and facility and for once, I feel confident about the choices I have for treatment.

Gnar Krew

The initial paper work doesn't seem to make it to the counslers, having to re itterate something's, other than that if they had their own parking (which is hard in the city) they'd be one of the best psychology practices around.

Andrew Wyatt

The staff is friendly and the waiting room is clean and cozy.

Heather Yoshimura

My life has been so much more fulfilling now that I've been treated by Clarity Clinic. The staff and doctors are helpful and kind. Very convenient and quick, and I always feel well taken care of there.

Priscilla Weston

Once my meds stopped changing Dr. Prasad lost interest in working with me. My appointments started to be with PA’s. One PA told me I should be taking “drug holidays” every weekend. That turned out poorly. I insisted on seeing Dr. Prasad for the next appointment and I felt he scolded me for not taking my meds regularly even after I explained why. if you push to start seeing just Dr. Prasad again he acts completely disinterested. The front desk staff will change your appointments without notification so you end up with two appointments on the same day (insurance will only cover one) or your meds will run out before you can get a prescription. I’ve been scheduled for several appointments with Dr. Prasad and Dr. Baker on days that they weren’t in the office. The front desk staff has forgotten to tell the person you’re scheduled to see that you’re there so you end up missing part of your counseling time. You get charged the full amount of course. I’ve been given horrible advise to trust people that were not trustworthy, either they had preconceived ideas or take poor notes. One of those situations resulted in the police being called because he wouldn’t let me leave. To those reading this, take care of yourself and I wish for you the absolute best. We are an easy group to take advantage of and there are a lot of scumbags out there.

Dr. Prasad and his team have been guiding me towards a better lifestyle and clearer psyche for the past few years. Clarity Clinic was the first facility I visited. Their guidance leads you in the right direction. I am grateful for the tools and breakthroughs I was equipped with and realized. Thanks for helping me make the most with the time I have.

David Roth

Dr. Prasad immediately turned my life around. I had been seeing another psychiatrist who was ineffective and did not explore other medications more applicable to my issues. Dr. Prasad immediately identified my situation, took the time to listen to me closely, and explained in great detail what he was aiming to accomplish with medication. Within the first week after my meeting with him, I was feeling better than I had in years. I cannot express more gratitude. I highly recommend his services.

Charles Moody

Had a very pleasant experience today in the office. Staff was extremely helpful and I found a great therapist! Would highly recommend.

Christopher Housen

Wonderful team.

Lynette Edwards

Fraud Not only did this clinic bill me almost $800 for one visit, they also lied and said that a different person provided the services and added extra visits. Then they billed my credit card without my permission and forged my signature. It's been a nightmare to try and fix. They also tried to convince me to take really heavy duty pharmaceuticals, before i had been seen by a therapist, which is obviously alarming. Scary.

Caroline Lavery

Watch your bills closely!!! My PA Rachel added random items on my bill to make more money off my visits. At the beginning, everything was fine but as I got comfortable they definitely started to take advantage. I've never had a provider do something so dishonest and brazen with a bill!!

I had a great experience. The staff was very nice.

I've been very happy with my experience at Clarity Clinic so far. All the staff are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere of the office is relaxing and modern. Definitely recommend this place!

Ellen Junewick

Clarity Clinic is a corrupt organization. Dr. Prasad is an irresponsible prescriber and does not care about the health of his patients. He prescribed my sister a variety of extremely addictive and dangerous substances that should not be used in combination, even though she was seeing him for help with SUBSTANCE USE. My sister is a smart, beautiful woman whose life was almost destroyed by this corrupt clinic. If you would like more information, details or help, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. The prescribing behavior and professional behavior (bought my sister drinks at a bar, after she disclosed she was struggling with alcohol abuse) of Dr. Prasad is beyond-concerning. The medications Dr. Prasad prescribes are not used to treat the conditions of his patients, and his treatment is money-based, not patient-based. Like I said, please don't hesitate to reach out if you want more information. I am a medical student, and have recently become more and more aware of how dangerous Dr. Prasad and his practice are.

Shayndel Smolensky

Worst place ever. Would not recommend it to anyone. Very difficult to deal with. Not easy to reach even in times when my provider told me to call her. Billing people don't have their stuff together. It all one big mess. They don't return your calls with in a normal time frame or some times not at all. Leaving messages on answering machine is not even worth it cause they will tell you half the time that they didn't receive it .

Suzanne Dupler

Professional staff and everyone was very polite. I recommend highly!

Joanna Robie

I'd recommend Clarity Clinic. Great location in downtown Chicago. Efficient, professional and knowledgeable Staff. My experience meeting with someone was a lot easier than I anticipated, the woman which whom I met with was relatable and made my experience comfortable to open up to her.

Mr. Brown was courteous and respectful, but my experience at this office was tainted by my interaction with the receptionist. First, although I was running 7 minutes late, the receptionist handed me a thick stack of paper and instructed me to start filling it out. I had not received any notice of paperwork that needed to be completed prior to my appointment. I figured there most be duplicates in the stack I received and started to fill out the first sheet. Then the reception asks me to return to the front desk for a moment. She explains that the office had just ended their contract with my insurance company, and asked whether I received a call that informed me of this. Obviously I had not learned this, and asked her what options I had at this time. She says, "well you can call your insurance company to find out whether you have out of network benefits." I'm bewildered at this point, and ask if she has a phone number or any other direction and she pointedly says that this is all I know. I call my insurance company, but because it is a Saturday there is no one who can take my call. I sign into my account to learn the extent of my benefits, growing more and more frustrated. After several minutes, the receptionist then says, "well, actually, the contract ends at the end of this month so you can complete the appointment now and resolve the issue with your insurance later." At this point I'm seeing red; why had she not mentioned this before? She made it appear as if I would not be seen unless I decided whether I was willing to pay the full cost of the appointment or determine whether my insurance company could cover at least a portion of my appointment. Mr. Brown entered the lobby soon after I returned to my paperwork, and we had about 30 minutes together before his next appointment. After our appointment is cut drastically short, I am extremely upset. I air these frustrations with the receptionist, explaining that I had not received the full value of my appointment due to the stack of paperwork that I was expected to complete and my not being notified of the insurance issue. She says, "well, where did you make your appointment? Zocdoc?" I confirm this and she says, "well Zocdoc is only a website." I raise an eyebrow, and confirm, yes I am aware that Zocdoc is a website, but you are informed of my appointment and then the provider is responsible to ensure you are ready to take me as a patient. Then she says, "well, that was the responsibility of your therapist." She curtly says that she's sorry I was unhappy with my appointment, as if she bears no responsibility for my dissatisfaction. I personally liked Mr. Brown, but at this point, I can't imagine ever returning to that office and repeating this experience.

Kevin R

Great staff, very friendly. Billing department was very helpful. I will be back!

Fred Smith

Great staff and Great location. The office is very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Prasad's approach is very thoughtful and deliberate. You can really tell the he genuinely cares for the well being of his patients. I would highly recommend checking him out.

Amareen Dhaliwal

I am visiting Chicago and had to schedule a therapy appointment out of state and Clarity was the best I had found. I ton of the clinics I tried to call didn't respond but I was able to book an appointment for the NEXT DAY. The clinic itself is much nicer than any I've been to, it feels like walking into a cute spa center in the middle of chicago! The girls at the front desk were super nice and there was no wait at all for me (although the paperwork took a few minutes). My therapist was the most lovely guy I've had so far. I've met with over 6 different therapists but he was the least judgmental and listened really well. I think a lot of mental health has room to change but it's nice to see a clinic have such nice integration that you can actually see someone without making 20 calls. The people I was around when I left all seemed so happy when they left (at mine it's usually more mellow!). This is just for the Northshore Clinic; thanks so much for the quick appointment again.

Wow I'm not sure i walked into the same office as other reviews here. The reception was as nasty as it gets. Nothing relaxing about walking into this office. Felt like the DMV. No smiles and the anger in the lady's voice. Nasty.

I’ve been going to Clarity Clinic for about 2 years now and I absolutely love it. My therapist is fantastic and has really turned my life around. All of the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Both locations are convenient and relaxing spaces that make you feel welcome and safe.

Ashley Brei

Absolutely horrible experience in the end. I thought things were going well with Dr Kiran Maharaja. She took her time and listened to me. Then I needed two forms filled out 1 from my bank and one from the state. She refuses to fill them out. I have moved to Florida and an office visit is not going to happen. The front desk is horrible to deal with. Often rude and short with you. I don't understand why this is so hard, its 2 sheets 1 sided with a fraction of information to fill out. Id stay away if I were you and find a better office. These latest reviewers have to be fake or being paid to write good reviews.

Marie Crea

This is the best clinic ever. Everyone is so kind and nice, I’ve been going here for almost two years. They’ve really helped me a lot, and the help I received here has improved my quality of life. I refer everyone I know to this clinic.

Go somewhere else. The website and online booking option seemed promising, but the PA I visited (Jordan) had terrible bedside manner and made me feel worse about seeing a psychiatrist. He said that no pill he would prescribe me would fix me problems. Not only is that terrible to say to someone seeking help, but medicine CAN help anxiety/depression. He also recommended that I stopped taking herbal supplements recommended by a doctor (that have been helping). He listened to me, repeated me verbatim, and then prescribed me a low dosage of a medicine I've been on before that I had already told him wasn't doing enough for me. Charged over $500 for a 30 minute consult that turned out to be a complete waste of money.

Lindsey Cooley

As a Doctorate Student studying Clinical Psychology I tend to be pretty critical of where I seek treatment. That being said, I love Clarity Clinic. Dr. Prasad is both effective and authentic in his treatment of patients. Many of the Psychiatrists I have been to seem to have a revolving door where you walk in for 2 minutes , they decide if your meds are working, write a refil and you're gone. He is nothing like this. Never before have I had a psychiatrist who asks for my input on my treatment. He makes sure you know the exact reason for your medications and the dosage, and answers any questions you have without treating you like you're just wasting his time. In addition to his service, Clarity Clinc has an incredible group of therapist on staff. My weekly therapist is the first I've liked right after our first session, making an effort to show real empathy and interest in what I'm saying. The support staff is friendly and welcoming, always greeting with a smile when you walk through the door. I highly recommend Clarity Clinic and have done so many times to friends seeking treatment.

Koneko Resukawa

I love Clarity Clinic. They really listen to you and work with you in both psychiatric and therapy. The staff are so very kind. And I love that they offer tea while you wait!

Moving to Chicago and switching clinics, I was hesitant about seeing a new psychiatrist...I can honestly say I had a great experience. I felt calm and at ease from the moment I entered the clinic. I was greeted with smiling faces from beginning to end. Most importantly, my experience with the psychiatrist was wonderful. Highly recommend!

I was a patient of Rebecca Mueller. During my first visit, she told me that I would have to come in again in a month, but after that, I could come in every other month and get my prescription refilled via e-script in between appointments. Month 3 (one month prior to my next appointment), I called the clinic to request a refill and told them I would be out of medication the following day. Rebecca told them I would need to come in again before she would refill my prescription. I asked them for a reason, given I had come in two months in a row, have never had any issues with it, and have been consistently taking the same dosage for 10 years. Rebecca never gave me an explanation and did not refill my script, causing me to run out of medication just before the weekend and unable to see anyone else to get it. It is clear that she does not take her patients' needs seriously and doesn't understand how important it is for patients to get their medication on time. Avoid this place.

Dr. Prasad & his team are absolutely fantastic!

Khitam Masoud

Staff is very friendly and always happy to see you. Staff is knowledgeable, listen well, focus on my concerns and problem areas while making me feel comfortable the entire time. Thank you Dr. Prasad.

Matt Potter

Great Place! Easy scheduling, accommodates when arriving early for appts, I haven't been late yet so can't say for that. Parking is not an issue as they have a garage and plenty of meters outside. Dr Prasad is friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

Very unorganized... one of the worst clinics that I've been to

Anthony Papagikos

Great office and Staff!!

Major billing fraud. This place bills for minutes and it’s all fraud. They say they see you for 16 or 23 minutes and then bill your insurance - when in reality they only see you for 5 minutes to give you a new prescription. Do not go here !!!! Stay away . Along with the doctor Amelia Merz is extremely rude and blames you for your anxiety! Dr Prassad who owns this place bills fraudulent! Should be investigated for fraud. Go to a real doctor and stay away from this pill mill. That’s all they do is pump out prescriptions.

The worst experience I’ve had in 6 years of therapy. I loved Dr. Reddy, yet he told me he was unfortunately changing to their Arlington Hieghts office. I get placed with Alyssa Bobak(only a nurse practitioner) who proceeds-following a vacation request for early Adderral totally common thing I’ve done for six years...No you cannot fill Adderral in RUSSIA-to bombard me with questions meant to diss out wether I’m an addict or not. Then writes in my second script “DO NOT FILL BEFORE 7/4/18-otherwise known as THE 4TH OF JULY! We go to Michigan every 4th at our cabin and there are no pharmacies open in the small town. I wanted to fill today 7/3. on the phone calling since 8am. Totally incompetent office staff. I’m trying to leave town to pick up my elderly parents and my wife. 5 hours after my initial call and 3 hours after the front desk said she would get back to me-it’s Ms. Bobak who proceeds to go right into GRILLING ME ABOUT EARLY REFILLS!!! Six years prescribed Adderral never had one issue and suddenly my prescribed goes DEA on me. I am so infuriated I tell her to forget it. So now I am 3 hours late getting on the road, my parents cancelled their trip with us and my wife is angry with me. Seriously the most incompetent staff I’ve ever experienced. I was made to feel like a criminal. I’m now stuck with the added stress of finding a new doctor. There are plenty of professionals in this town RUN THE OTHER WAY. This has ruined my holiday-and these are the people who are supposed to be making my life better. Absolutely terrible.

Appointments are easily made, the front desk staff is always friendly, and Dr. Prasad & Tasha are awesome! Both are available when needed.

I do NOT support this clinic. The office space is terrible, it is cramped and there are too many people at the front desk. It's very uncomfortable for someone with mental health issues to be crammed in a tiny windowless space. The psychiatrist I saw, Jacy, was very unprofessional. She talked about herself and how she found her boyfriend right after I told her I just went through a serious breakup. It was selfish and made me feel very uncomfortable. She was very young and seemed inexperienced and I did not feel comfortable sharing any details with her. Calling the office over the phone, the staff are also very rude and not helpful. No one here seems to know what they're talking about, they're unprofessional and rude, and not supportive as mental health staff should be. Don't go here.

I have been seeing Dr. Prasad and his team of therapists since Clarity Clinic first opened, and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experiences. Great staff! Great treatment! Great location! Great hours!

Dana DuCasse

I have been going here for over a year now and cannot even begin to express the help this clinic and its doctors and staff have given me. Everyone is very thoughtful, supportive, encourgaing, and professional. I finally feel like I am able to manage my life, even with its ups and downs, effectively.

Marguerite Mahoney

I've been seeing Dr. Prasad for over a month and I can't tell you how much better I feel since seeing him. Kirsten Oberc is also a really help in my life and I always feel so much relief and drive after a therapy session!

I cannot say anything but great things about Clarity Clinic and it's staff. Dr. Prasad is thorough and efficient - which is what I need during my busy day. His PAs are also amazing and easy to schedule with! You must go here!

Omeed Javidan

Amazing staff!

Thomas Sostarics

Staff was amazingly pleasant and got things done efficiently. Dr. was fantastic and was passionate about helping in whatever way they could. Space was well kept and provided a good atmosphere for the clinic.

Jack Anderson

Very professional, easy to schedule, and they take blue cross/blue shield for therapy.

Angela Renee

I have been a patient of Dr. Prasad for over a year and I couldn't be happier!! I actually fly to Chicago to visit with him and he always is able to fit me in during my visits. He is very professional and listens to my needs and concerns! I would recommend anyone looking for a medical professional to listen and empathize with your concerns to visit with him. He is very knowledgeable in his treatment plan and makes himself available to answer any questions I have. I feel very comfortable discussing my concerns with him and am grateful to have found him!

The West Loop office is unprofessional, dismissive, and unorganized. I have been going to this office for the past 7 months and obtained an ESA letter for my anxiety. I called 2 weeks ago to make an appt to have my United Airlines form completed by my doctor. She is on vacation which is understandable so the office booked me with a clinician named Jordan. The office PROMISED me that Jordan would be able to complete my United Airlines ESA form. It is literally a checklist that indicates I am a patient being treated by Clarity Clinic and that I have an ESA animal. I confirmed TWICE with the office 2 weeks in advance that even though Jordan is not my clinician, I can still have the ESA form completed. The office reassured me and stated I needed to 'come in' to the office as a visit to have a form filled out. Seems a bit odd that they literally just want to bill my insurance plan to have a form filled out. I show up to my appt and Jordan does not even look at my ESA form and dismisses me. He states that because I am not his patient that he will not complete the letter and escorts me out of his office. If I had known this was going to happen, I would have found another more reasonable doctor. Then, Jordan and the front desk PROMISE me that the form will be completed by Monday and SENT to me via EMAIL. IS Jordan even a clinician?! There is something called HIPPA which restricts you from doing that. I basically am first reassured the form will be completed then as I question the likelihood even more, they change their promise to say they'll have a response for me by Monday. Then as the front desk calls their manager and try to get in touch with the head of psychiatry- Dr. Reddy, they basically tell me that ultimately Jordan will have to fill it out. I am utterly shocked and confused by the lack of logic in this office. If Jordan refused to complete it the first time then why would he change his mind. Also, I asked to talk to the manager or someone with authority to help me. No one would connect me to anyone. I am so disappointed by this office and the lack of support I have received. I will update my review on Monday in case they have taken any action. But I will be scrambling in the mean time to find another doctor as my flight is this upcoming Friday and I needed the forms submitted by Monday. New potential patients please be aware of this before booking your appt. It is sad to see the potential this office has to helping patients and the lack of empathy they have towards their patients. I genuinely feel as if I am just another opportunity for them to bill my insurance.

This office is great. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful and I have only ever had positive experience with the clinical staff. I never feel like I am walking into an office where someone has haphazardly reviewed my file or is trying to get me out the door; the staff is personable and truly makes an effort to do or ask whatever they can in the allotted appointment time.

Mariah Holstein

I began seeing Dr. Prasad about five months ago and could not be more satisfied with the help I've received from him and his team. The first few of my sessions he helped me address issues I might not have otherwise acknowledged alone. Unlike other psychiatrists, he takes the time to listen on a personal level and make professional suggestions. We've made edits to my prescription/s a few times in order to find what works best for me at that time. I highly recommend him to people searching for a permanent psychiatrist.

John Smith

Overall great experience- the staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Highly recommend.

Don’t believe the good reviews. This place is awful and disorganized. Here’s why: 1. At my first appointment the staff neglected to provide me via email with the 20 page form needed upon arrival and then tried to blame me for not having it. 2. Every time you check in they announce that you owe them money...loudly. Clarity clinic, you are working with people with mental health issues, maybe send them a bill first before you condemn them to shame and ridicule in your waiting area in front of your other patients? The way you are handling it is tactless. 3. Everyone in billing needs to have more pride in their work. My bills, if they come at all, are inaccurate. I was charged for a “no show” appointment that I cancelled 4 days prior. Now I have to call and complain. 4. The psychiatrist wouldn’t fill my prescription when I only had a few pills left. So now I’ve changed to a doctor who will... take that! 5. They send you text reminders about your appointments! Sounds great, right? Wrong! If you reschedule, no text update. If THEY reschedule, no text update. Soooo somehow you get a text once in a blue moon with a reminder, usually with the old appt info but not for new info = unreliable communication 6. It’s sad inside. 7. If you call the office... nobody ever answers. And nobody calls you back - especially if you cancel an appointment. Those message you leave just float away like a tumbleweed I guess... On the bright side, if you are looking for therapists or psychologists congratulations for having the courage to do so and keep up the good work! Hopefully you find someone great!

Have seen Dr. Prasad for about 9 months now. The office is clean, organized, and very helpful. Dr. Prasad is a wonderful doctor--great listener, caring, attentive. The clinic makes it very easy to book appointments, and makes the experience as easy as possible.

Erica Rubin

I love this place. The staff and doctors are so nice and are passionate about their patients. They also have evening and weekend appointments which is so great!

These people truly care for your health. I was the biggest skeptic to come and talk about my mental health. But the Staff and the doctors have been amazing and made me feel real comfortable in my decision. It has been the best choice yet and I am feeling 20 times better than I first started.

Dr. Prasad prescribed me more pills than I could count on 2 hands. Of the many medications, there were also 2 highly addictive drugs prescribed. I disclosed that I was struggling with an alcohol use disorder and yet he continued prescribing me benzodiazepines (a pontentially lethal combination when taken with alcohol). Worst and most unethical of all, I saw Dr. Prasad at Hub 51 one night and he broke Dr/Patient confidentiality by acknowledging me and then asked me what I wanted to drink. That night he bought me TWO Long Island ice teas...

The billing department is very unprofessional and has no idea what they are doing. First visit, they checked my insurance and said its covered, 8 months later they sent me an outstanding balance from that visit. I have had new job since and with a different insurance company, so I pony up and paid because I didn't want to go through the hassle of fighting between them and the insurance. Then 2nd visit, they charged me over $350 for just a prescription refill which is more expensive than the 1st visit. I called 3 times, emailed, even dropped in the office to leave note asking someone from billing team to call me back but cricket. Then I got a warning from them to take me to collection if I don't pay within 30 days. I was furious, finally got a hold of a billing manager and asked for itemized charges, they could not tell me what they are; but I have 30 days to pay up. After some back and forth, I found out the charges are; doc visit fee, consulting fee and paper work fee. Isn't the whole idea of visiting a doctor so they can consult me? Why are there 2 charges for the same thing? and they charged $75 paperwork fee because the doc has to fill out 1 page pre-authorize prescription for the insurance company. I feel like I was robbed.

I've been going to Clarity Clinic Chicago for over a year now and have yet to experience anything less than excellence. The staff is always friendly and I've always been seen for my appts on time. The vibe in the lobby is both inviting and comforting so don't be afraid to check out the clinic if it's your first time!!

1. My first psychiatrist a Clarity Clinic was Amelia M. Merz. She was horrific. Every session I had with her she’d say, “So, what are you in here for? What did we talk about last time? I don’t remember, do you have a history of trauma?” as if she didn’t even bother to look over her notes from last time. So we’d waste a good 20-30 minutes talking about the exact same stuff as last time. 2. She prescribed me Zoloft which my family has a history of not working well with. Surprise, surprise I experienced the worst side effects of my life. I’d call clarity to try to explain how awful the side effects were and no one would get back to me. 3. I then got put on 5 mg of Lexipro which I found out today while seeing Dr. Prasad isn’t even an effective starting dose. She tried convincing me I’m Bipolar which does not run in my family whatsoever and told me I’d have to get bloodwork done to know for sure. She said someone would be in touch with me to schedule getting my bloodwork done and no one vet contacted me. Today Dr. Prasad said blood work wasn’t a necessary part of diagnosing me Bipolar. 4. Amelia said she would put me on a mood stabilizer which would be effective for BPD and Bipolar because she said I had one or the other. My prescriptions were never filled and my next appointment was meant to evaluate how the mood stabilizers effected me but since I never received any, I canceled that follow up over 24 hrs in advance as there was nothing to follow up on but I was still charged $100 which was then voided as a “courtesy”. I spoke to the front desk who emailed her about the situation to see if maybe she forgot which is understandable. But she never went through with the prescription and she discontinued my lexipro and sleep medication which made me exhausted and nervous. I had to speak to a different doctor to get emergency prescriptions in the mean time. 5. Amelia dodged me so much I hired a new psychiatrist which is Dr. Prasad. I tried to explain my situation and he’d constantly interrupt me mid-sentence. Eventually I said, “Please don’t interrupt me I’m in the middle of my sentence, “ to which he replied, “Don’t be so defensive. Either I can listen to you or tell you how this is going to go. We have limited time so I need to get the most done.” That would be fine if he didn’t end our session a half an hour early which made it clear his intention wasn’t to help, it was to get done fast. !!!! DO NOT GO HERE FOR A PSYCHIATRIST !!!!! ***My therapist Jodi is amazing and incredibly helpful. She’s the only helpful person I’ve met in that whole place.****

Moving to Chicago nearly 2 years ago I can not explain how grateful I am for finding the Clarity Clinic. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful in working with me to coordinate appointments with my busy schedule. The offices are immaculate with a comfortable waiting area and nearly no wait times. The physicians and psychologist really take the time to listen to your concerns and address all your needs. Dr. Prasad is an excellent psychiatrist who helped me through difficult times over the past few years. I highly recommend Clarity Clinic for anyone seeking a psychiatrist in Chicago.

Richard Miller

Friendly, professional staff who help out with everything from the neck up! I have been coming here for over a year.

I can't rave about this place enough! I'm a college student going through some difficult times and decided to contact Clarity Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. I felt so welcomed immediately. The ambience of the waiting room is so relaxing and they place calming music while you sit. I personally saw Dr. Prasad and have never felt more comfortable speaking of my struggles to someone. All of the staff I've met are very professional and kind hearted and I highly recommend it here!

this place is really shady. I asked for a new therapist and the new one demanded I sign up for some ultra expensive iop at her other job, when I tried to get another one, they cancelled after I spent 1 hour traveling to get there. checking in at the front desk is a nightmare die to dumb, poorly trained receptionists and it's so cramped somebody is squeezing past you every few seconds. just stay away.

I recently went to Clarity Clinic due to experiencing overwhelming anxiety and depression. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and cared for. I worked with various psychiatrists and therapists at Clarity and they have been nothing but helpful and kind, really listening to my needs and showing empathy for my situation. I would recommend Clarity to anyone in the area in need of mental health services or just going through a difficult time.
