Good Doctors and Therapists Not that good office staff Also call your insurance before taking the piss test on your first visit. They will charge heavily if you're not covered!!! Like over 800 bucks! But if you need medical help its worth dealing with the office to see a good doctor. Doctor G. IS GREAT Des Plaines location is better The office staff in Schaumburg are not that helpful. Maybe they are understaffed? But the des plaines location is better in my opinion.

Don't go here I was a former client of Dr wolfram. The staff are rude and Dr wolfram overbook's and he is usually 3 hours behind sechuled after my sechuled 2pm appointment became a 4:45 appointment I charged him $36.00 a minute for every minute he was late plus I had to miss work so I charged him $17.75 a hour for missed work. A he changes my insurance company a $180.00 for a hour visit but my visit last less than 5 minutes and he doesn't care at all about he clients just pushes Pills. You be better of going to the lquior store to by a 24 pack of Corrs Light

While the doctor I saw seems quite competent, this office looks at people like dollar signs rather than patients. I tried to pay the most I could and I was told I could not be seen on my first follow up after being prescribed a new medication and I was told verbatim that the four days prescription I was given "should hold me over until I can come up with the money". Notwithstanding the charges on the EOB I received from my insurance company that the stone-faced front desk staff were unable or unwilling to explain considering I had only visited the office once for a new patient consultation. While these doctors are competent and qualified, I cannot in good conscience give a positive rating to a firm that obviously values profits over patients.

I read the reviews, I'm glad that I didn't read them before going. My husband and I have been going now for three weeks. They came and got us right on time or even earlier. We found the doctors to be understanding, and caring. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. I only negative thing I would say is it could use a little updating.

Dr. Hirsch is an absolute scam. Google him. He's a doctor that specializes in smells as treatment and was sued for fraud. None of his credentials check out. I was interviewed for 2 hours by A student, not the Dr. After a full 3 minutes with me he wanted to give me a super expensive medication not even meant for my problem. Would give 0 stars if possible.

I wish I had read the reviews for the practice, rather than just a particular doctor (that I didn't even get to see). The office itself, well I cannot word it better than a previous poster who wrote that it appears as a cross between a "DMV and a currency exchange"! The staff were extremely unknowledgeable, unhelpful and very rude. I called to verify my insurance and discuss costs - everything changed when I got there, though. I recently moved to the area and had hoped for a psychiatrist close-by. I agree with some of the others here; this place is a scam!

My son was refered at Alexian Brothers to a doctor here. Expected to enter into a medical office suite?? The "office" reminded me of the DMV combined with a currency exchange. Money and insurance were the staffs top priority. Payment, despite having insurance, was demanded at the point of service. UNPROFESSIONAL. A slim guy in a sleek silver suit interrupted to answer my inquiry about pending insurance billings. Who was he? Ended up refused to pay on the spot for the appointment we arrived for and left courteously declining services. GRATEFUL TO HAVE GOT AWAY UNSCATHED. Turns out we left at the same time as mr silver slick suit who had taken the stairs down. He had parked his recent model silver flagship BMW in the handicap space at the front door. TRULY RIDICULOUS!

Ive been seeing Dr Wolfrun for years, and he has always helped me,as long as I really want , also to help myself. Also this is a difficult clientele because many of the patients are drug dependent, and or have cognitive problems. And the office staff,I don't know how they handle it!! I'm there once a month to check in and meet with Dr. Woolfrum, and every time a patient is arguing with the Insurance gals, I know I was one many times!! And even when I was yelling , I knew I was just angry that I had to deal with this stuff in my life. Yes Its inconvient to have , or even to have had a drug problem, because it can make problems the rest of your life. But Behavioral Health Care, and Dr. Wolfrum helped me function and have these inconviences. I called these high class problems compared to other ones I've had. Also Lisa K. helped me so much with my Insurance problems, and she never gets tired helping all day long!! They 'll all caring and helpful if we just stop yelling and calmly ask for help!!! Thanks Lisa K., Adrianna, and Dr. Woolfrum, you all have a Very stressful good ,and thank God for your patience!!!

Dr Hirsch is wonderful and the office staff is very nice, however the office manager is horrendous! So rude and mean to staff and patients. All she is concerned with is getting money from you. She literally told me that if my insurance didnt pay that she would be coming after me! I was mortified when she said this. She has also called me a liar too. I only go there because my son and I love Dr. Hirsch and his secretary El and we feel that he is the best fit for my son. We just hope for the best when we go there.

So I was ordered to take drug classes here. I go twice a week. I pay 60 bucks a class when I was told it was 40 bucks. They lost my evaluation forms where I paid 160 bucks. The classes are not even about drugs it’s all about alcohol. So I go to class again 1st time since before the holidays. When I get there they tell me I failed the last drug test testing for alcohol. I don’t even drink. So I told this guy that’s impossible. I have been taking medication cause I been sick and this guy said what a 6 pack. Really I don’t drink. So I did also drop with my po and at the court house. So let’s She what my po says when I call. May have to join everyone else here in filing a fraud case. Trying to give me more hours so I can pay more money.

The worst office personal for a psychiatrist doctor. They are not trained to deal with patients that come in there to get help. All ladies that work there are clueless of what it going on, lazy, and don't try to help you to make sure you feel safe. I leave the office angry and in tears every time. I'm looking into switching doctors.

Flamingo Girl

On my first initial visit waited for three hours to see the doctor. Had to take a pee test which was performed in the office and months later got a bill for 2900.00-not covered by my insurance-to test the sample for every drug possible. I did not authorize this test and now wondering how to handle this situation. Feel robbed and taken for a scam. I happen to like the Dr. But after reading reviews and now my own experience I might have to start all over and find another one.

Nicholas Stefanski

They force you to take a test to make sure you're not on drugs even if your issue is completely unrelated. After receiving no real help and being strong armed into a study again unrelated to what you came for, a month later you'll find out you're being charged $1100 for that drug test to verify you're not on coke. This place is not just bad, it is criminal. Save yourself!

I have been going to BHCA for many years. I would go no where else for my healthcare needs. They are always friendly, very personable and most of all they really care about their patients and their needs. Lisa the office manager is AWSOME! Not only has she bent over backwards for my needs. I've heard her deal with other patients and she treats us all with such kindness. She really understands that our problems really are problems and she does anything and everything she can to help us out. It was a great decision to hire Lisa to manage this office. SInce she's been there things run a lot smoother and Dr.'s are running more on time. Thank you BHCA for all you do to help me and my life.

This place is very greedy , and does not honor the insurance they are in network with. After seeing the therapist on HMO insurance for over a year we got switched to PPO. Beforehand they made a copy of new insurance. Coming for a visit in the new year we were changed upfront full fee because they didn’t verify the benefits. When a week after they finally did verify , they still refused to issue the refund because they wanted to get the money from insurance first. After they got it they still want refund it because the office administrator has to approve it. I was simply speechless. Scam and greed!!!

JOSUE DAVILA

Are these people real doctors? I came because of anxiety and their psychiatrist tried to attribute to drug dependency I had to tell him twice I don't use any drug, I did not come for drugs related issues. Guess what? Their $95 urine drug test is compulsory and is a strip test. A 12 panel drug test is $12 on amazon, the package of 3 strips. The psychologist is another interesting individual, wanted to charge me $1,500 for psychological tests. The patients coming here wont get better, this is designed to get money out of your pocket. If you are looking for health care professionals look somewhere else. The personel on the counter was really nice, they seemed like well adjusted individuals, only them. Oh and by the way, the psychiatrist asks how long I have been using opioids, I tell him never and he says "really?" WTF, I died.

If I could give him a zero I would

Almost all the reviews here already deal with the horrible reception staff, so I'll just point out the horrible doctors. When I was 20, a psychiatrist here put me on 1mg of Ativan three times a day, every single day, for months. This is not something that anyone with or without an anxiety disorder can reasonably benefit from, because it creates a continuous, unavoidable cycle of withdrawal. It goes without saying that most of the doctors in this office take money from corporations who manufacture the products they sell in order to maintain their easy, lucrative careers. Please don't take my word for it. Go to a website like Dollars for Docs, and see for yourself. When it comes to medical advice, you should talk to hardworking people who care, not the self entitled pawns of multinational drug corporations.

Schaumburg location is very unprofessional. I specifically told the staff what doctor I need to see and they scheduled me with someone else telling me the appointment was with the doctor I asked for, completely disregarding my concerns. I get to my appointment on time just to find out that they scheduled me with the doctor I told them will not see me. I sit in the waiting room and they say I have to reschedule a week later. Not only was I completely ignored when I made the appointment and it was scheduled for a specific doctor, when I tried to explain how much of an inconvenience this is after already warning them who I must see... to say the least I was very embarrassed because there were 5 people behind the desk and no one could even give me an answer let alone look at me in the eyes and give me a sincere apology. I am not the type of person to write a bad review because of a complaint but this is happened 5 times already in the past year-and-a-half. I get it mistakes happen but this is someone's medication. A complete lack of professionalism and respect and dedication to any staff in the medical field.

Dr Wolfram, Dr Shankar, & their awesome PA Susan Russo have all gone out of their ways to help me. Yes, if you see Dr Wolfram, the Wait will be extremely long (2 to 3 hours honestly) that's because he's really the best & everyone wants to see him. I've started working with S. Russo, and am very happy with the care & compassion I've received. She recently became a trained yoga instructor, also. The wait is worth it. If you don't want to wait that long, there are many other doctors & therapists to choose from. I'm very lucky to have found this particular office. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone.

First visit $20 copay. 2nd visit $190 after changing my meds all around. I asked why and the woman at the desk said they charge deductible first...Told them I couldn't afford that, as I have insurance for such instances. She said sorry can't help. What a joke.

Jamie Caraballo

Gouttama you sad cold poor excuse of a human being. Rather than coming out and telling me kindly to my face you tell your receptionist that you refuse to see me, and no decency to call me before heading to be treated. Refusing to see a patient is one thing, refusing to see a patient that needs their scripts filled is unlawful, I will be pressing charges.

Alexander Smythe

I was able to be seen the next day after I called and was treated well. Having been to many doctors since I was young I had something to compare with and I was offered new treatments that no one had told me about before. Now I am feeling better than ever and able to hold my own. I have sent my friends here and they all feel the same. The place is amazing with the work that they do.

Candace Marx

DO NOT GO HERE. My fiance went looking for help with sleep problems post-surgery. Des Plaines office was dirty, Dr Tucker was terribly unprofessional and after less than 10 minutes of interrogation, prescribed him a high dose anti-anxiety med and kicked him out. A YEAR LATER, we get a bill from a drug test lab for $1625 for lab work to test for every type of substance known to man-referring physician Dr Tucker. Of course at this point it's too late to contest with the insurance company. When he called up the Des Plaines office to request copies of his medical records (to see if he signed a form consenting to the lab work, as they did a pee test IN THE OFFICE with instant results at the time of his appointment), they say he must pay a $30 "handling fee" plus another $48 "copy fee" to copy 15 PAGES of paper. We submitted a Fraud complaint with the insurance and a formal complaint with the Illinois Attorney General. This clinic is probably defrauding hundreds of patients who don't know any better and they are criminals. STAY AWAY

Would give 0 stars if I could. Doctors are pretty good here, but receptionists can be rude/unprofessional, but are mainly clueless and seem to not know what they are doing. Had my prescriptions stolen for the first time and I have been going to this office for almost 10 years. Called in explainined what happened the receptionist told me to get a police report and come in. Which I did by it ended up the doctor left 10 mins before I got there 40 minute drive to the office. They told me to come b ack Thursday at 2PM which I did. I get there and they only have one script ready instead of the 3. Their reason was because they thought I had just my prescription paper taken even though I explained it was filled prescription taken. Waited in the waiting room for an hour. I finally takes to them and said they could only get 2 of my of my scripts filled, because was one was supposedly written by a different doctor in the office. Again been there 10 years I only see 1 doctor so no other doctors have ever written me s Prescription. Then they charged me $75 to rewrite the script total scam. They need new staff and mangers in there. I will bring this up with my doctor next time. Because last time they changed me a crazy amount they shouldn’t of have my doctor got mad at them and made them take off the charge. Worst thing they wouldn’t let me talk to him for 2 mins so they should be ready to refund me next time I’m there because I know my doctor i’ve seen for 10 years wouldn’t charge me $75 for a signature from him. Office people are scammers, but good doctors.

I have never seen a medical clinic run this poorly. Terrible place. The office is very dirty. On my first visit I waited over 2 hours past the appointment time to see Jean Tucker (she is a nurse not a doctor, if you want a doctor make sure to tell them you dont want her). When I finally got to see her she spoke to me like I was a criminal. All I was there for was some adderall but she spoke to me like I I was some heroin addict or something. On my next visit they didnt even have my appointment on file. Whoever I spoke to on the phone to schedule it never did. Then Lisa made all sorts of claims that they called me almost a month ago to tell me the insurance wasnt going through. And they wouldnt see me because I hadnt updated the insurance. Well I checked my records and no call from them on that day was made to me. She had literally made up the whole thing and was using it to say that I couldnt get care. I had to leave the office without seeing the doctor and decided to switch to a more patient friendly clinic.
