The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because I've only seen 1 doctor there, don't know anything about the others. Front desk staff is rude & uncaring. If dealing with people who have emotional or psychological disorders, you'd think they'd be a little more compassionate. I wasn't receiving appointment reminders because I didn't say I wanted them. I'm sorry, I thought that was just a service most places offer automatically. I get reminders from my hairdresser, for crying out loud. Wanted to switch doctors, had to get approval from my current doctor, was told someone would contact me to schedule an appointment, waited 2 months & heard nothing. New doctor isn't accepting new patients for almost 8 months from now. Have been seeing the same doctor for going on 2 years, feel no improvement, just kept upping my meds. Currently researching other treatment options.

Was referred to Associates in Mental Health by my NP and was amazed by how quickly I was able to get in for an appointment. I met with Baljit Singh for treatment for ADHD which has controlled my entire life from childhood to adulthood. The customer service afterwards by the staff was amazing- My insurance company required prior-authorization for my prescription and both the pharmacist and my insurance company said this can take up to a week. Associates faxed over the form immediately and had the prior authorization approved within 2 hours! The pharmacist told me he had never seen prior-authorization approved so quickly! I can comfortably recommend Associates in Mental Health to anyone that is seeking help for Mental illness!

Seeking help for mental illness puts one in a vulnerable situation and Associates in Mental Health takes full advantage of that vulnerability to extract as much money from you as possible. I never felt like a patient here but instead like just another source of revenue. Repeatedly, I was charged for an hour of services when my appointment lasted less than 30 minutes and also was charged over $100 for medical tests which consisted solely of a blood pressure reading and weighing. I would advise anyone who needs mental health care to avoid this place and find somewhere that treats and respects you as a human.

Horrible place to seek any mental help. Met with Audrey and she agreed to take on my child. When making an appointment over the phone she gave me a date, but said Tuesday such and such date, I told her that works! She did send me an email a few days before the appointment to confirm and I was busy and replied with yes that's still the plan. Not realizing when she said Tuesday she put me down on that Monday. I took this as a mistake on both our ends. I made appts 2 month in advanced and went to the appt only to be told the appt was never made. I took this as a sign that the office wanted nothing to do with my child or myself. I will be pulling my other child out of this office and take my private insurance and business else where. I feel sorry for anyone who chooses to deal with this practice and I will make my voice heard about how terrible place this is for anybody with a mental disability.

I hate this place! I called 2 days before my appointment and 1 day ahead of time to remind them that I would not be there. Well, I got a lovely bill saying I owed money because I missed my appointment. I went around and around with the staff. (Bye the way I lost my husband of 53 years 2 weeks before) I didn't get a i am sorry for your loss from the staff and my Dr. told me that we were having problems anyway so it didn't matter that he was dead. WOW!! I was shocked and horrified that a Doctor would say that to a patient, especially when they are depressed and suicidal . I loved my husband and yes after 53 years we did have our differences. Plus my doctor started to YELL AT ME because I refused to pay my bill and she took the staff's side (who didn't tell the truth) and never gave me a chance to explain my side of the story. Next time l was prepared for what was going to happen and decided to leave the place permanently if she started yelling. I have been seeing this woman for 2 years and never had she yelled at me. I never got an apology, but she said that things were messed up the last time I was there. Can you imagine? Plus the staff SUCKS!!!! :( This place is located in Peoria Illinois. Where to begin. Kendrick Bailey, a "counselor " at Associates in mental health, told me on my very first visit, with no other background given, that all of my children's issues with their father were my fault. They are 13 and 15 years old. Let them speak for themselves and then pass your judgement. Oh wait. Counseling is supposed to be a safe space, right? No. My kids felt like they were under a microscope from this man every single time that they went. My children's father was mandated to counseling. He missed six appointments and I was told by Kendrick, because we missed two appointments ( one due to illness with a Drs note provided and another for baseball tryouts. As a busy single mother , I didn't realize the dates. When I called the front desk to reschedule, they told me it would be no problem as it was more than 48 hours in advance and I had never missed an appointment before.) Kendrick told me that I was responsible for almost $500 in missed appointment cancellation fees. He did not care that my children's father missed 6 appointments. As my children's father is perpetually unemployed, I believe that Kendrick only cares about money. He told me that if I cared about my children at all, I would pay their fathers bill. Kendrick himself went through a divorce in December of 2017. Now I am starting to see why he immediately took sides before he met my children or my ex. He berated me and made me feel like I was the worst mother in the world if I wouldn't pay my exes bill. His exact words were "If you cared about your children, you would not be arguing with me over who owes what. You would just pay it so your kids could get the counseling they desperately need." Look buddy. I am the only parent to pay for anything. Everything from toilet paper to braces, it all comes out of my pocket. Nothing was said to my ex about the huge bill, as he has no way to pay it. I do not recommend this place at all. Nothing beneficial took place for my children. Kendrick needs to leave his personal life out of his professional life. Honestly, you would do better to go to tazwood or something of the like. I have waited 6 weeks for Kendrick Bailey to call me back. I will file a complaint against him with everyone who will listen.

Dr. Singh and Chris Holly saved my life. I thank God for them as I was unable to get help until I was referred to them. They worked as a team to help me become strong and stable. I cannot say enough good things about them. The office staff led by Sarah is amazing as well.

This place has a terrible cancellation policy. I had to reschedule my next appointment because of another medical issue I was having with Crohn's disease and I got a bill in the mail for several hundred dollars for missing my appointment. If I would've known that going to this place to try and seek help was only going to add to my problems and overall stress load, I never would've bothered trying to get help in the first place. In my opinion, if you need help, you are better off going to some sort of community center for help where they will actually care about you as a human being. based on my experience, this place only sees clients as dollar signs.

Phenomenal. I have had PTSD and symptoms that had, Had rendered my life hopeless. Dr. SINGH IS BRILLIANT. He has quarterbacked/coached my self/family/and care team back to a sustainable but also thriving life. I have had an in accurate diagnosis for around 7-8 years but as fate had it, we found a silver lining in that it brought me through and to this defining moment in our lives. Have faith in this practice. Ive been homeless , state facilitized, (ive been through the system) But god had a different plan for me. My wife my care team and my Doctor here have put me back together. Thank you. I know your journey can be and is unique and sometimes difficult, may Associates in Mental Health guide you to your Silver Lining!!!
