Good service, and caring. However I became a victim of over prescribed Benzos. These medications are handed out like candy by this provider. I wasn't aware of it's dangers and withdrawals and was NOT notified about the severity of the withdrawal or the consequences by the provider. I was told the dosage is a "baby" dose and not to worry and worse scenario I would be tapered. I have been in protracted withdrawal suffering severe disabling symptoms over a year now. I was experiencing interdose/tolerance withdrawal, and the provider just kept bumping up my dosage not knowing the actual medication was the cause of my Panic Attacks and other mood swings. Benzos and Z Drugs are meant to only be taken short term. Even the manufacture doesn't recommend these to be prescribed and taken longer than 2-4 weeks. I will gladly take my old anxiety back over the Hell I've been in for a year now. Benzos should also NOT be prescribed to people with Major Depression as it makes depression worse. It's no better than telling a patient to go drink Alcohol if you feel anxious, even though it will make depression worse. This medication was negligently prescribed. I just want to know why medical professionals think that masking mental symptoms with loading patients up with poison is acceptable? Drugs are not the answer folks. Not illicit, not Pharma drugs. Especially when this provider kept me on dangerous medication for such a long time. Obviously if they were "aware" that Benzos are bad, then there shouldn't be any excuse regardless of the panic attacks. No different than someone having constant PAIN, then asking for Opiates. Doctors don't prescribe Opiates no matter how great the pain is, and I'm not sure why Benzos and Z-drugs are an exception. Just because the Government hasn't restricted Benzos and Z-drugs yet doesn't mean providers should negligently over prescribe them.
I lost my career due to the damage this drug did on my brain which includes memory issues and the inability to obtain new information or process anything complex. I would be careful and do your research. Many medical professions in the U.S. aren't educated about the dangers of some of these medications. I would not have written this review as I do like Danielle, however because I asked her if these medications are safe and non-addictive and was told not to worry or go read things on the internet, yet here I am suffering countless number of mental and physical symptoms. In general, I don't feel Nurse Practitioner's are qualified to prescribe such powerful medications as they can be extremely dangerous (Far more dangerous than the opiates). They put a huge dent in my life costing me my career, home, friends, family, etc...
