Horrible. I’ve been to 4 other psychiatrists and never had a 46$ copay. She was 20 minutes late. Had wrong information treated me like a drug addict for a one time prescription. For prescribed pain meds for gout. And didn’t help at all. I left in 5 minutes.

My experience with Dr. Wendler was not a good one. It was my first time seeing her and wanted to talk about some personal issues and seek some advice about school. She was running late on her appointments so I also felt very rushed. Dr. Wendler didn't seem very welcoming or very warm. For me, if you are going to work with people for a living, your bedside manner should be great. I felt as if she wasn't really listening to me as I was just another college kid trying to get drugs for school. That was not the case. She told me that the Dr. I had before probably missed diagnosed me and I had too much going on in my life and there was basically nothing she could help me with. I was in her office for about 10 to maybe 15 minutes. I left in tears and felt more hopeless than I felt before I went in. Made me feel that there was no light at be end of the tunnel! It's a shame that this happens when people really do need the help. I'm getting a second opinion and hopefully will find someone who suits my needs better because this experience wasn't a pleasant one. We are all human and we should all be treated that way, not as another time slot in your schedule.

Okay here is my story. If I could give a thousand stars I would and heres why. So I am visiting this beautiful state of Hawaii from Denver. When I arrived here I realized that I forgot to pickup my medication before I left Denver. I didnt think it was a big issue because I assumed my dr from Denver would be able to transfer it over here. Apparently that is against the law in Hawaii because it's a controlled substance. They told me here that even though I had a prescription ready for me in Colorado, that I still needed to see a psychiatrist out here before I could get my medicin. Now find you, at this point I have no meciation left and I am freaking out because every walk in clinic, and psychiatrist office I called said they couldn't help me. And the few that said they could told me they could see me in a week. Well I will only be here for 10 more days and the medication i am taking, i need instantly. I cant wait 2 days let alone 10 days. At this point I honestly start to hyper ventilate thinking that my 1 year anniversary with my wife will be the worst ever because I'll be sick the entire time. I called dr. (Along with 14 other offices) and when I spoke to Shannon I explained my situation that I thought it was as simple as my dr just sending over my script from Colorado to here, but that was not the case. I called shannon at 9am in the morning Wednesday and she was so empathetic, more than anyone i have ever spoke with this far. She said dr Wendler could see me Friday at 4pm. I said ok, that's 2 days away and that's the best offer I had, so I said perfect let's do it. An hour later shannon calls back and said you know what, come in right now and we can help you?!! So I ubered to her office and dr wendler saw me and by the end of our session she wrote me the script I needed so I wouldn't get sick the rest of my honeymoon vacation. I had my script filled by 11:30. So from the time I called randomly at 9am, within 3 hours I saw the dr and got what i needed. I honestly think it was a miracle. I know I got lucky and was fortunate, but the care they took of me, knowing how crucial these next 12 days were before I could get home and get my script...I'll never forget that. I really thought I was doing to be miserable my whole vacation and not only ruin my wife and I honeymoon, but all the activities we had planned and truthfully, possibly our marriage. Dr Wendler and Shannon, not to be overly dramatic, but they saved me life in a way and I'm completely serious about that. There is nothing I can do to repay the help that have to me and the kindness and understanding they knew that I needed based on my situation. I hope this review helps a little and for anyone who doesnt go here on a regular basis or if you're in a pinch like me from out of state with no medicine, youre absolutely nuts. This place, and the entire staff was amazing. Thank you shannon and dr Wendler from the bottom of my heart honestly. You were and are the best. You saved me when no one else could or would. I'll be forever in your debt. Now I can enjoy the rest of my time here in this beautiful state with my wife because of you two. A million thank yous.. Dave G
