Dr Sherry Gergis is wonderful. She is very caring and really listens to her patients. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a phychiatrist who is dedicated to finding the best treatment for her patients.

It has been challenging to say the least. We do not agree or see I eye to eye When i go to a doctor I don't want to feel challenged but here i did. So I say God will make away where there seems to be no way, and I will find another way.

Unprofessional, argumentative, easily irritated, and has an attitude. As long as you agree with everything she says to you because she is the "professional", you're good. If she tells you something, nod and agree. If you like to actually be heard, go elsewhere. :)

I called to make an appointment because my primary care physician referred me. The office manager refused to make me an appointment. As a non health professional, the manager tried to diagnose me over the phone and told me to see a different specialty. I called my primary care provider and was told that I did indeed need this physician due to her specialty. I continued to call and leave messages and they were not returned. Finally after a week and a half of calling the office, the manager finally returned my call. She once again refused to make me an appointment and refused to let me talk to a heath professional (nurse or doctor). She finally told me the best she could do is make me an appointment 5 months out. I gave up and will seek better care elsewhere. Apparently mental healthcare is not important and is not seen as a priority at this facility.

Unprofessional and awful experience with Dr. Gergis. My daughter never felt comfortable with her the entire year she was a patient. Dr. Gergis shows little to no compassion, or kindness. We find her to be a complete alarmist, who couldn’t remember what she said from appointment to appointment.

The office was quiet and welcoming. The lady at the front desk was helpful and pointed me in the right direction for a cheap pharmacy as my insurance doesn't cover much. My appointment was scheduled for 1030 but i wasn't seen until about 11:15. My only gripe with Dr. Gergis is she is clearly very uneducated about the uses of marijuana and refused to prescribe me the medication i need because she is afraid it MAY interact. I get the liability behind it. However, she should do a little research in the effects of marijuana for patients with anxiety and depression before withholding medication that have helped me in the past. So instead, she has DUAL prescribed me SEDATIVES to curb my anxiety as needed AND help sleeplessness. How is one expected to take one before work when my anxiety is at its peak??? Since my insurance doesn't cover anything related to mental health, i have basically paid $400 to be prescribed some Benadryl to make me sleepy. Thanks!!!!

As a licensed mental health counselor, I highly recommend Dr. Gergis! Dr. Gergis shows an interest in getting to know her patients, takes safety precautions when prescribing stimulants (e.g., recommending EKG to ensure the heart is healthy enough to tolerate stimulants), spends adequate time assessing the efficacy of medication, and provides some counseling during appointments. Great psychiatrist and wonderful staff!

This was my first and last visit. I was scheduled for a 10:30 appointment with Dr. Gergis. 15 minutes past my time, the two other women waiting informed me that she wasn’t even there. Both of who had appointments scheduled before mine. As I’m cancelling my appointment because I no longer have time for it before work she comes charging in, asking who she’s supposed to be seeing. The first person being seen had been waiting for 45 MINUTES!! This is a completely unacceptable way to run a practice.

I have been a patient of doc. Gergis for approximately a year now. My experience with the receptionist and the doctor has been nothing short of excellence! Dr. Gergis is always professional, her level of ethics is Superior to other physicians I have worked with. She is very logical about the needs of her patients. Her approach in my experience has been sensitive to my needs, she has always treated me with dignity and respect. The receptionist is just as kind, she always calls me as a courtesy reminder of my next appointment and is always willing to help. I've enjoyed my experience so much, that I have referred other individuals to the Trinity Psychiatric Health, because I know they will be treated with respect and dignity.

Wonderful office staff that went out of their way to work with me around my schedule time and time again. Dr. Gergis is the most personally invested psychiatrist I have seen in my journey back to the top of the mountain, and by now I've seen many. She had patience with me when I was too high, and the same patience when I was too low. I cannot say enough positive about her, so much so that I think of her as a second mother. Without her careful and measured guidance, I certainly wouldn't be the strong person I am today. Thanks ma!

i am only writing this review to let you all know if you have BCBS find another Doctor. I called to schedule an appointment and was told they are NO LONGER accepting BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD OF FLORIDA. The reason for the 2 stars is because I was immediately hung up on which i thought was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was in the middle of speaking when the line went dead. Behavioral Health Care? Not from this office staff.

She spent ample time with me to get to know my medical history, and previous treatment experience. Dr. Gergis made recommendations for some changes and adjustment to medication, and the treatment worked greatly for me. Stay far, far away! This doctor doesn’t care about her patients, and often forgets what medications she’s prescribed. She’s not personable and stares at her computer screen the whole appointment (which can be very distracting). She’s argumentative and doesn’t explain herself at all- she even apologized to me and admitted she mixed up some of my personal notes and confused herself. I gave her two chances (only because my primary care doc told me to give her another one), and I regret it. Again, stay FAR FAR FAR away!!

I called Dr. Gergis’ Office in desperation because I ran out of my antidepressants. Despite previously prescribing my meds, she refused to fill my prescription order before seeing me and her next available appointment was the next week. I expect my psychiatrist to understand depression as a whole and to me, this was clear neglect.

Was an advocate for a patient (who agreed to seek help), unimpressed with its professionalism to respond to people seeking help! Unacceptable to leave people hanging, especially when the patient and I walked in to get comfortable getting pass “the stigma!” Was told it takes 3 months to get in as a New Patient. We submitted the necessary information like insurance acceptance and current meds. Weeds out drug seekers, I get it, but never asked patients GOALAnyways, I called in 3 times to get a patient update on acceptance. Paper sat “on desk” for over 6 weeks then said we referred patient to another Dr. They never called patient to update status and left patient hanging in a critical time. Unacceptable in today’s time. Go to this lady just to have a conversation because obviously she doesn’t take her profession too serious. Best wishes to those seeking help

I don’t get why the 5 stars. And this one guy keeps returning saying how great it is. Glad it worked out for you but Terrible for my relative despite the primary doctor’s referral. Argumentative. I wish we had seen all of the reviews.
