Dr. Katyal is very up-to-date and sharp in her medical knowledge. She took me off of a lot of medications that I had piled on over the years. It is very important to find a psychiatrist who knows when to medicate but it is even more important to find a Doctor who also knows when NOT to. She modified my medication with real care and patience and held my hand through the transition, always giving me hope. She found correct medication for me and I haven’t felt this good in years! In addition, she has always made sure that I am an active participant in my own treatment, listening to my thoughts and concerns and always taking them into account. Maybe you don’t have any mental health history, but lately things have been feeling “off” and you don’t know where to begin. Or maybe you’re like me, and have had a lifelong struggle not just with mental health itself but also with finding the appropriate care and treatment. Finding the right help for mental health issues can be a daunting task. Dr Katyal is kind and honest. She is always clear and upfront about the plan. If you're looking for a psychiatrist who will actually try to figure it out and help you instead of just labeling you and scribbling a script I highly recommend Dr Katyal.

I have been a patient of Dr. Katyal for quite a while now. I looked for a suitable doctor for many years but didn't find many psychiatrists who provide therapy as well. When I read her profile it made sense to me to see a psychiatrist who can provide therapy and give medication if needed. My experience with her has been wonderful! Dr Katyal is knowledgeable, honest and professional. She is a caring doctor and got me through some rough times. She always treated me like an individual, not a diagnosis to be treated. She is fair and nonjudgmental. Unlike many psychiatrists and therapists who want you to return for appointments forever Dr Katyal always tries to get you the help in minimum possible visits. This is the best I have felt in years.
