This medical office treats patients like dirt. If you should get sick and miss your appointment they charge $50.00 besides make you wait for next available appt. for medicine refills even if you need them. I was told i should have come in sick even if i was having 102 temp. I would not recommend this office to anyone! Its all about the money not the patient.

Dr. Duke is one of the most intelligent human beings I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She knows her stuff! I can't say enough positive things about this place. Julie Martin is a drink of water for my brainy bits. If you're looking for mental health support and help, you will not be disappointed.

Dr Hong is nice but always late for appts. If you reschedule because you are going to be running anymore than 15 min late there is a $50 charge which I understand but when I make the 1st appt of the day knowing how Dr Hong is and he still has me wait for over 45 min where is my fee for wasting my time. This is a continuous issue and it doesn't seem to matter what time you make your appt.

I've had nothing but a pleasant experience here. Sarah and Julie are amazing. I don't like the waiting area set up, it's a bit institutionalized but the staff is amazing!

Scheduled a testing for our son and specifically made sure it wasn't going to be a consultation, but it ended up being a consultation after-all. My wife and I took a day off work plus a day off school for my son (and a one hour drive each way). Then we were told we'd receive a call back in 1-2 days to schedule the actual testing session. Today is day 3 and I've left messages and I'm currently on hold while typing this review (in queue position #1 for over 20 minutes now) When dealing with children, you need to step it up a tad...this is supposed to be a professional Neuropsychiatric office.

We turned to NPI in search for answers to help our teenage daughter through depression and suicidal thoughts. We were not impressed with wait times (had to wait nearly an hour to see the person for an evaluation!). Also did not like how institutionalized the place is. Even I felt like a drop in a bucket while going through the motions; the office felt less then uplifting with its labyrinth of corridors, and somewhat grim interior. My daughter hated it entirely. Not worth the long drive from Hernando county.

I have called this place several times, always on hold for 15 to 30 and then hung up on. Once after being told I was the 3rd caller in line, someone actually answered. Instead of making an appointment, she then acted like she was going to transfer my call to someone else. I was on hold again and the recording said I was the 3rd caller in line and after waiting 20 minutes, the call was disconnected. This is not a good first impression and I will not be calling them ever again!

I called to schedule an appointment & because I would need him, at some point to write a letter for my social security hearing... I was told my 1st visit would be $500.00. Not for anything but that's ridiculous. What happened to drs being there for their patients? It's all about the money & if you don't have it, you're SOL. At this point even if I had the money I would not go to a money hungry Dr!

I am very disappointed in the $50 cancellation fee as well that is a very high fee. Their automatic message automatically confirms you without you actually confirming the appointment yourself . I was slammed at work and couldn't even make a call so now I have a $100 Fee for my son and myself and can't even get the medical attention I need. ALL ABOUT THE MONEY HERE AT THIS OFFICE. THE Dr.s are over-worked and too many people in the office at one time. Pretty sad :-(

This place is a dump. Very dirty and not very welcoming. The billing people are very nice and pleasant but I'm not going there just for the people that take my money. Out of the 3 times I've been there, I've been prescribed a new medication every single time without them even getting to the source of what is even wrong. If you are looking for a bandaid for your problems, this is for you. If you want to actually be treated and get medical assistance to get to the source and find a solution, go elsewhere. Very disappointing. Update july 24th This is the second time the office has called a day in advance to request I re-schedule my appointment. The office requires an actual office visit to refill medications so its extreamly inconvenient to have to reschedule multiple times just for a prescription refill. They really make sure they get their money that's for sure.

This place is a nightmare. Their phone girls/staff in the appointments, billing, and med refill departments are HORRIBLY RUDE and badly untrained. Their voicemail box is always full, for billing, mind you, not med refills. There must be about 5 or 10 different girls that work there, and none of them communicate with each other. It's like starting over every time you actually get one of them on the phone. Tracey is a very nice and understanding NP, and I would highly recommend her if you choose to brave the communication/logistical nightmare that this place is

My daughter has been coming going to NPI for over a year now. I am amazed at all of the negative reviews here. The way I see it, if you don't get what you want, you will give a bad review. Maybe people should follow through with their doctors appointments and follow doctor's orders so that you don't have a bad experience. We have had nothing but the best experience. We show up on scheduled appointments, we show up ON TIME, and we follow doctor's orders. Success, success, success!! Thank you Dr. Breiter and Jessica for all of you wonderful help. We love you!

The nurse practitioner I saw, Dorit Breiter, was very rude and wouldn't listen to anything I said. If you want to make an appointment with them, do not make one with Dorit Breiter. My experience there was the worse psychiatric experience of my life.

The therapist and physician are great. They genuinely care about you. My only negative is that there are times one has to wait a long time though you have an appointment. It's not easily visible in traffic. The building is huge, but it is sideways.

This place has been more than kind and understanding of me in the past couple months that I have been going. Scheduling can be tight and waiting rooms may be busy, but you have to understand that there are SOOO many individuals in tampa seeking help for their mental health, and NPI offers the widest range of services. I am so happy I have found this place, and my 2 doctors are amazing. I can depend on them for help with full faith and confidence. Ashley and Tracy!

This is a Psychiatric Institution so I'm not surprised that half the reviews are 5 stars and half are 1 star. My thought would be, when you go there, your attitude will determine whether you have a 1 star experience or a 5 star experience. I have been going here for 3-4 years now. Dr. Hong is a brilliant psychiatrist, Colin Davis is an excellent therapist. The support & admin staff are always friendly, however, they have had issues working with my insurance company once before which was a headache, but one bad experience in 3-4 years (and only with the admin staff) isn't going to ruin my 5 star rating. The waiting room is horrible: not because of the room, but because of the people who fill it: irresponsible mothers, kids watching TV on tablets, people with no manners or no regard for anyone other than themselves. But that's not NPI's fault, so I won't hold it against them.
