A total quack! This is a money making venture they force every patient to spend lot of money out of pocket for all kinds of unneeded service. They make me take relaxation class, yoga, and more and different computer test I have to pay myself. It is s complete rip off and you never even see the doctor.

Listen to the reviews and do not go here for treatment.

Honestly one of the best Drs Ive gone too. Took time too explain things too me and prescribed accordingly. Really cool guy so not sure where the negative reviews came from. I’m sure there is more to the story.... But regardless highly recommended!

I was excited to see him because everything on his website looks really nice. Got there not very welcoming. Secretaries were very rude, also heard them talking about one patient after they walked out the door. Saw the doctor it was a very quick visit for the first time .usually the first time you see a new doctor especially a psychiatrist it's an hour. I feel like we crammed everything in a half an hour and I forgot questions I felt rushed. Call back a couple weeks later and very rude secretary answer the phone I was calling about my appointments and she seemed very irritated by that. Also I feel like you need to jump through hoops to get the right treatment I feel like it's all about money. Really don't recommend this doctor. I think there's better out there.

When I first went to Dr. trivedi, I thought I found my solution during a total breakdown. He seemed concerned and well invested in my care. I was given very good care....however months after the biggest concern was getting me weened off .5mg of Klonipin. that I had been on for over 15 years. That decision was the worst decision ever made in my life. I then was given loads of different substitutes that never worked. I developed worse anxiety and depression issues. I was given a therapist, Lisa West, who was fired for the most unethical practices, ever!!! After that debacle....I finally found the intern Randall Cobb. He is better than Trivedi, however that failed Bc Trivedi still has to approve every med Randall feels you may need. After being stabilized again abs given a decent therapist, Trivedi wanted to take me off yet another med. Seriously, I never had a drug habit, or abuse issue, but this practice will not give a controlled substance even if you have a legit reason. Their own intern agreed I needed Valium at 2mgs. They want you to watch YouTube videos and won't give you a diagnosis. I finally filed a grievance against them with Florida Medical and the Medical Board. I had a crisis, told my therapist, she sent them a note, no one called me. I was in crisis. That was a month ago. Please beware. They had my health history wrong, my name wrong at several appts and that's just the beginning. The don't believe in meds...the believe in yoga. Lol. Please. They almost had a dead patient on their hands. I'm still considering legal action. Do yourself a favor. Dr Arlene Martinez in Lutz. Saved my life. This practice is horrendous.

Idk what all these bad reviews are maybe old staff Dr Trivedi is great, friendly , polite and does not over prescribe like many doctors . Honestly couldn't believe when I saw all the bad reviews . EDIT: he was nice but ripped me off told me he wrote a prescription explicitly triple checked with him then when I went to pharmacy to pick it up they told me there was no prescription ! So called him he then claimed he never said he was gonna write a prescription and after spending over $500 in appointments I now have to wait another 30 days and spend $300 on another appointment for the meds I desperately need now to keep my job. UPDATE: he wrote the precription but offsets you to some assistant that isn't even a psychiatrist after first appointment. Never had this happen before very suspicious. ..

Dr. Trivedi is without question the best Psychiatrist I've been to. He was right on with his diagnosis and in prescribing medication to treat the anxiety/depression. He is caring, compassionate, and understanding of the frustrations and difficulties going through with this illness. I consider myself very fortunate to have Dr. Trivedi. He is wonderful as well as his staff.

I went to Dr. Maulik Trived about three years ago for help. Upon entering his office I saw him getting frustrated with a software program on his computer which he should have been focused on me since I was paying for this visit. I tried to explain what had happened to me which was both my Mother and Wife had passed away within three months of each other and I needed help coping with it. He didn't want to hear anything I had t say. His response was to write a prescription for anti depressants and I said that I wasn't depressed that I am having anxiety attacks and I don't want anything stronger than Xanax. He got even worse when I said that and accused me of being a drug addict and told me to leave, which I did and by the time I got to the front reception he yelled at the front desk girl and said to never let me in again. This guy needs to go to anger management classes. I also knew another person that went to him and he prescribed Xanax to her and then he cut her off. She was just having problems with her marriage. Nothing compared to what I went through. Needless to say I found a Doctor to prescribe Xanax to me and it has helped me get through day to day and nights dealing with the nightmares I went through. I keep myself on a low dosage so I can function throughout the day. I have been using it since I left this guy who thinks he's gods greatest gift. DO NOT GO HERE!

Dr. Trivedi I is a wonderful, kind man who clearly wants to help and he is very much surrounded by like-minded staff. I met him several years ago and I was in a very bad place. I have since “graduated” to quarterly medication check ups with the best PA ever, and counseling monthly to stay on track. I have had several injuries and surgeries keeping me from my number One therapist Nori (my horse), I’ve changed jobs, lived through several of my husbands deployments whilst managing a small ranch and traveling to Europe to see my mom who has Alzheimer’s and as of earlier this year doesn’t know who I am, and my dad who’s aging so fast he might just die before her. Albeit the circumstances, I feel stronger than ever, having received the tools I needed to deal with “life” and I’m confident that even when things get real difficult again, my amazing councilor will be there to guide me to the other side of sad, hard and hurt.

I don't know who these patients are that Dr. Trivedi was so kind to. A friend of mine went to this doctor for a few months and was always given a maximum of 15 minutes of his time regardless if there were questions or concerns left unanswered. (I accompanied her into each session to help take notes for her.) If I happened to be late in bringing her because of a traffic accident, he spent most of the 10 minutes left lecturing her. When she started asking questions about medications he was prescribing, he got threatened and told her she was "fired" as his patient. I was flabbergasted. This is NOT a sensitive Psychiatrist! His staff, however, was very kind and was aware of his personality.

After seeing Dr. Trivedi for a few months I asked questions about treatments he was recommending - this was just before Christmas. He became angry and condescending telling me that he was the Dr. not I, and I needed to follow his recommendations for treatment and not question what he said. The treatment option was not covered by my insurance so I worked throughout the rest of December to find another insurance. Today in a follow up appt he said that treatment wasn't even needed, he just wanted to make sure there was another Dr. to cover if anything happened while he was out of the Country over the holidays because if something did happen and he hadn't recommended something then I could sue him... However, he was angry that I hadn't started the treatment - I hadn't followed his instructions so he said he wouldn't be my Dr. anymore. BUT prescribed a new med to start - no info on side effects, nothing. He starts out seemingly nice and caring but if you ask questions he becomes angry, rude and condescending. Do not go to this doctor.

I have been taking my son to this practice for about 4 years, maybe 5. I left the Wesley Chapel office due to the wait times with Dr. Trivedi being so late and one time waiting for him to have him leave the office without seeing my son. I changed to the Tampa office to see Crystal. Today I called to get paperwork with my son's diagnosis and was told I would have to make an appointment to get a paper with his diagnosis. The lady that answered the phone was rude and hung up on me because I had a problem with paying a copay just to get a piece of paper. I will be finding my son a new doctor. This practice is a joke and does not care about their patients at all!

After moving here from out of state I started coming to this office and had a good experience because I had Laura and Camille as my therapist. The office stafe WAS very kind.Dawn at the office is great!!! So sad that in the year I have been here I have seen people come and go.And now the ones that are going are a true lose and this is very sad!!!Mental health is so important to not only the individual but for everyone around . It is a shame that clients are not treated as important as they are and their needs met.

BEWARE! My teen was at this practice for more than a year for anxiety and mild depression. We were seeing a wonderful assistant with a heart of gold. She left which from other reviews I see employee turnover is rampant here. We got stuck with a psychiatrist that had the personality and bedside manner of the grim reaper. This visit was supposed to be our last to come off anxiety medications and she used scare tactics to put my child on a different anti-depressant. This exacerbated what little depression he was experiencing. When I called to report that symptoms of depression were worse, I was told to go to the ER and admit my child for observation. We were in no way at that level of emergency..we just need to get off this medication . She refused to see us and refused to change the prescription without discharge orders from an ER! They called the next day to check in and promptly told me they would not see my child and that we should find a new psychiatrist that specialized in transgender children. They used scare tactics and strong arming as a well laid plan to discriminate against my transgender child and fire me from the practice. They care nothing about the people they treat. They give you 15minutes so by law they can write a prescription and push pills on you. If you want to get a prescription and be done with it..by all means this “practice” will get you what you need but be sure to follow the rules to get your pills in time…cuz leaving you cold turkey to suffer the side effects is of no consequence to them. If you are looking to get well be supported by someone who cares about the medicine they practice and the people they are treating, stay as far away from this group as you can.

I am very frustrated and angry with Dr. Trivedi's practice. I started going to his practice 3 years ago. In the past 3 years I have not needed much medical attention, just when I needed my medication to be refilled. Within those 3 years, I have seen 5 different physicians, because each one kept leaving the practice. I should have taken this as a sign to leave too. My last experience with this practice put me over the edge. I really needed to pick up a medication before I was leaving the country. My appointment was the morning of the day I was leaving and I told the NP that I needed medication for my travels. She told me that would be no problem and that it would take a few hours to be filled. After a few hours went by I hadn't heard anything from my pharmacy so I contacted the dr's office. The women on the phone said that Dr. Trivedi had to approve this type of medication request but said she would page him to make sure he knew it was urgent. After another hour, I called again. This time it was a different women who told me that this medication took 48-72 hours to be approved. I questioned why no one had told me that this morning when I was in and when I called an hour before. She told me that she doesn't know what I was told. I explained that I needed the medication for my trip and that I was leaving for in 15 minutes. She told me she could get it to my pharmacy the next day. I kept explaining that I was leaving in literally 10 minutes at this point. She was so rude and made my anxiety way worse for the trip. The way that this situation was handled was very inappropriate and I will never be going back to this practice again.

Geez i wish i could put ZERO stars. I will keep this as short as possible. First off know that you will only been seen for 15 mins & with that 15 mins all the " doctor" will do is send you out with a prescription that they "Think" You need i say think because well you will see. I was diagnosed with Anixety/Depression & sent home with a month worth of meds. The meds i will say did in fact do me some justice. When it came to finishing the prescription off i was calling to schedule a follow up with the doc to be seen to either be getting a refill on what i had or being switched to something they would think is better. The front desk people told me that i could not be seen until taking an ADHD test of which they hold there at the office i told them it was not needed and i would just like to resume with the follow up on the meds and talk about how it had made me feel etc. Long story short they did not give me a follow up option leaving me COLD TURKEY off the meds i had been on for an ENTIRE MONTH, Needless to say my side effects were so terrible i went to the ER in which they could not believe that this office left me high & dry especially at how young i am. So please save your money because this place just wants to take all these tests that are completly irrelevant to what you're even being seen for and just take all your money. Listen to all these other reviews they are not lying to you, I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL for goodness sake it's not a joke. Do not go here.

I was new to this whole mental health thing. Showed up presenting signs of Depression and Anxiety. He listened to me and deduced the root causes pretty quick, which blew my mind, as I did not have the insight into myself that he did. He prescribed me medication and set me up for therapy. It is true that he can be quick at times, but he's a doctor, and they're all beleaguered by patient loads, so I can't complain about that. Everything I needed done was taken care of, brisk pace or not. I'd highly recommend him.

I think Dr Trivedi does an excellent job making an informed well educated plan of care for his patients. I have only seen him 3 times and spent more one on one time with him than I did with the provider I saw before him for 10 years. Im not gonna lie it hasnt been a super smooth experience. Ive had several diagnostic tests ,which although conclusive and informative, annoyed me. I was annoyed to schedule the diagnostics (for a documented condition Id been medicated for for more than a decade). I was even more annoyed to complete the diagnostics, which was a bizarre computer test that involved lots repeative clicks of the spacebar and enter key. To be honest I was even annoyed with the checkin process where I answered a series of questions about the last two weeks of my life. The care is thorough but you're going to have to work for it. No simple med pass type visits....well atleast so far.

Colin Fitzgerald

I believe Dr. Trivedi is getting kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies. No matter what I say is my main problem, he just put down "Can't concentrate". Then prescribes me meds for someone who can't concentrate...which is funny because I went there for anxiety. After 8 months of trying HIS med, I suggested we switch to the 1 that had helped me for YEARS....but no. Like I said, it seems like what a Dr would do if he's getting financial kickbacks for every script he writes. I can't figure why else he would refuse...makes no sense. Now I have to go to my fellowship class at church w/severe anxiety again... isn't exactly good for my social life (which is now over), thanks, doc.

Awful experience. First visit I was able to see him and his assistant, a nurse practitioner, who diagnosed me with conditions that I was already aware of by just reading off a survey I had completed. They ended up taking me off of the medications that I was currently using and putting me on much less effective medication that ended up causing both my anxiety and depression to worsen to a severe degree. After the first visit I was never seen by Dr. Trivedi himself again, he simply outsourced all of his work to his nurse practitioners whom, while nice, seemed too afraid to prescribe any medications that might actually work. This was over a several month period where I was given the same two medications and essentially told there were no other options. I was also given therapy by an associate social worker, and it was ineffective to say the least. She did not help me through any of my problems and after about 4-5 visits of seeing her, claimed that I needed Intensive Outpatient Rehab. I'm now seeing other doctors and therapists and doing much better. These people took my wavering condition and made it completely and utterly worse, and essentially tried to have me hospitalized due to their negligence and incompetence. I strongly do not recommend.

My entire family was patients at his office when we first moved here. We moved our kids to a new Psych at USF and never had any issues. Our insurance changed so back to this practice we went. We see someone new from the first time we went there and she is great. Certain things have changed. Sometimes, you have to make several calls to get your prescription filled even though the provider supposedly sent it electronically. When you call, you wait. Today, my teenage daughter was giving me a hard time getting out the door. It takes me 40 minutes to get there, but, knowing she needed her refills, we rushed. Our appointment was for 10:30. I had my daughter call and state we were going to be five minutes late. My daughter walked into the office at 10:36 and she was told they wouldn't take her. Considering we guarantee this practice 4 visits once a month for med checks and 4 therapy visits a month for our two children, it's time to find a different provider. We are always on time. the one time you're not, it doesn't matter, you need to reschedule. I can't tell you how many times I watched other people in my situation in that office argue with the front desk. I am a stickler for being on time. Unfortunately, there are instances when life gets in the way. My daughter has ADHD which is infamous for distractions. That is why she goes there. They will take your money to treat your disorder, but, don't let it get in the way of their schedule.

Dr. Trivedi is one of the kindest, most caring and thoughtful doctors I have gone to - and I've gone to lots of them. He takes the time to explain. He listens to your thoughts. Dr. Trivedi individualizes each case as unique. Before going to Dr. Trivedi I saw a doctor who in five minutes made a diagnosis and wrote a prescription before getting to know me. I've been hearing that psychiatrists these days just see you and give out medicine based on the category and the condition - NOT the patient. How sad. I'm just so glad that I found a doctor who really cares. Thank you, Dr. Trivedi and your wonderful staff.

I took my 12yr old daughter to see Dr. Trivedi in September of this year. Our first appointment was pleasant, he took his time and seemed very genuine. He prescribed my daughter some medication for what she was experiencing. Which was major anxiety and mood swings. After that appointment we saw him in October for a follow up. My daughter was experiencing some major depression, nothing that was overly concerning to me. I knew she needed to be diagnosed with a mental illness but wasn't sure what. As that is the whole reason I took her to see Dr. Trivedi in the first place. After explaining to him what she was feeling he decided to prescribe her a mood stabilizer (which wasn't for what she was experiencing after doing research)and recommended I send her to Roger Memorial Hospital for a certain type of psycho therapy. I explained that she was a straight A student and wasn't sure if that facility was best for her. Although I left with telling him I would call and see what they had to offer. I was a little concerned over his recommendation for Rogers Memorial Hospital because my daughter wasn't unstable and is only 12 yrs old and hasn't had any suicidal attempts, in fact my daughter doesn't even know that words meaning. Also this was only her 2nd visit with him. After coming home and doing some serious research I learned that my daughter had all the symptoms for borderline personality disorder, a disorder that can be treated with therapy and a mood stabilizer medication. I called the Rogers Memorial Hospital to see if they offered out patient therapy however, they only offered partial in patient therapy. After hearing that I called my insurance company for a list of therapists that offer the type of therapy my daughter is needing. I also called Dr Trivedis office and asked to schedule an appointment with him to discuss what I had read in regards to my daughters condition and to ask questions on what type of medicine exactly treats this disorder. When I saw Dr. Trivedi I first explained that since my daughters last appointment I had done tons of research and discovered she most likely has borderline personality disorder and that I was going to send her to a therapist that specialized in the psychotherapy he recommended but was not going to send her to the Rogers Memorial Hospital because they only offered the partial hospitalization and being with her all the time and seeing how she acted I didn't feel she was at the point of needing partial hospitalization. As she is a honor roll student and didn't show signs of being out of control. I also asked him what medication would help treat her disorder. He then got extremely irate and told me that if I wasn't going to go by his recommendations he wouldn't want to see her as a patient any longer. He wouldn't even speak to me at all! And again this was only her 3rd visit! He hadn't even diagnosed her! I then asked if would prescribe her a mood stabilizer to last her until I found a new doctor. And he stated he wouldn't do that because it was going on the holidays and he "didn't want to be bothered" over the holiday if she had a reaction to the medication. He just seemed like his ego was hurt over the fact I decided to do my own research to help my daughter. As I am the one with her the most and see know her the best. He just seems to want to hurry up and push you on to something that may not even be what you really need so that he doesn't have to deal with you. Very sad. I would NOT recommend this doctor.

If you need help DON'T go here. The ARNP was great and then Trivedi came in. Didn't know anything about me. He started yelling at me. Said I had no discipline whatsoever. Made a comment about my looks. He had the doorknob in his hand while he was yelling at me. Unbelievable experience. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Cant believe this guy is a doctor much less a behavioral health doctor.

I have called his office multiple times attempting to schedule an appointment only to be told that I had to wait on a pre appt email to fill out before scheduling. This said email takes 3 days to arrive in my inbox. I have waited and called about the pre appt email several times. They have sent it out twice. I feel highly disappointed and let down.

I don't normally write or even believe in reviews, but I had an experience of my own and I had to share it publicly. I have read the reviews on Google and other sites, and figured I'd give this doctor a try despite the fact of what everyone said about the staff. My daughter has been diagnosed with depression and needed an evaluation at the first available opportunity. I called the office, sent all the many pages paper work they requested, and they told me to expect a call within 24-48 hours with my appointment. FIVE days went by. I called them and they simply told me they didn't have my paper work and ask me to send it again. This was beyond frustrating; during these 5 days my daughter had two major crisis - to the point of almost ending up in the ER. Now, I've decided to try scheduling with another doctor and I have no idea if Dr. Trivedi is a good doctor or not. He may be an excellent doctor but based on my own experience and all the reviews stated here, I can only conclude that he is not a good business man, or at least is not capable of hiring good employees. What they seem to NOT have in mind is the fact that when we look for a psychiatrist, we're not wondering about whether or not we have a mental condition, we are DESPERATELY looking for medical help. Unfortunately in our case, I haven't gotten it yet.

I was seeing Dr. Trivedi for about 3 months. Everything seemed to be going okay for the most part. Then I started a new job, I was given last minute notice to start, and it just happened to be the week of my appt with Dr Trivedi that by the way I had waited 2 long months for. With all the chaos and stress of the new job, it completely slipped my mind about my appt and I missed it. In a panic, I called right away and explained the situation. They agreed to get me in asap as I was in a panic about missing the appt to begin with. In that panic, I neglectfully agreed to an appt time within that week without cross referencing my new schedule at work. I was just simply so desperate to get in to see him at that point. I was told at my work I could have the time off, but when the day came, I was told I could not have it off as they needed me and I was reminded I was still only a contractural employee. I immediately called Dr Trivedi's office prior to my appt time and explained that there was no way I could make it. I was told at that time by the very rude receptionist that this was my 2nd cancellation without 24 hours notice but that she would see if she could make an exception and get me back in to see him. She came back on the line and scheduled me for a month out as Dr Trivedi was pretty booked up. I agreed to the time and date and made very careful efforts to make sure I made this appt! I wrote it down on the fridge where I could constantly see it, even had it in my phone and my husbands phone! Well a week before my appt, after waiting patiently for weeks, I was notified I was being released by Dr Trivedi's office permanently, that he was no longer able to see me and I was prescribed 30 days of my life saving medication, which is only what the law requires! It took me 3-4 months to get in with a new psychiatrist so these people left me hanging with no medication for several months! I would not recommend this Dr to anyone.

Crystal Alshamai, PA-C, is a wonderful provider. In my experience with her she has always been kind, compassionate, and attentive to my needs. She is a true medical professional and I have recommended her to my to my family and friends.

DO NOT GO HERE! I had three doctors in four months, NONE of whom listened to what I needed, and the first accused me of being a drug addict! Then they don't even look at your medical history or even take it into consideration. I was also prescribed drugs that canceled out the cancer medication I take. And everything through Florida Medical Center is connected SO IT'S RIGHT THERE IN THE COMPUTER! They don't care at all about their patients, they just want them in and out and think everyone can be treated the same. I've had severe panic attacks and they wouldn't help me at all. As I said, DO NOT GO HERE!

Jennifer Perone

Dr. Trivedi is really kind, thoughtful and caring. He takes the time to talk to you and to understand what is going on. He doesn't run to medications every time and he suggests other options. Great doctor and great staff! I highly recommend him! UPDATE: July 7, 2018 Unfortunately, the most recent reviews are the most correct ones. Dr. Trivedi went through several assistants (NPs and LCSWs) in the past few years. When he had Kathleen Barrett there, everything was great and I got what I needed. Flash forward to a few years later and you can't even see Dr. Trivedi. It's awful! They refuse to fill out forms for insurance companies. They've screwed up my prescriptions many times, leaving me high and dry and having to go to my GP. They refuse to do anything helpful! I've been seeing Wendy Holland and she has never noticed once that I've been having problems managing my anxiety. She' just loves to tell you how great you look or that things are just getting better and better. It's good to be positive, but you must listen to what the patient is telling you! I was told, because I was having problems managing my anxiety, that I should go to a program that isn't covered by insurance. If the provider can't deal with garden variety anxiety, then why bother? I won't be returning! Dr. Trivedi, find some better assistants or roll back your practice and do right by your patients. Don't go here now or ever! Find somewhere else. FMC also has an awful habit of making sure you never get to your actual doctor. What good is a doctor you can't ever see?

Excellent experience - holistic approach to total wellness. I appreciated how the staff are all very professional and courteous. I was able to get an appointment in 3 weeks when other offices were booking into 2019. My provider, Stephanie, was excellent in asking questions about my symptoms and explaining the brain functions and treatment options with me. I appreciated the time that Dr. Trivedi took to speak with me as well. I also, really like the holistic approach and focus on mind-body wellness. with integrated nutrition, relaxation, yoga, acupuncture, and group counseling. The practice has done a good job of minimizing the "crazy" stigma associated with mental health. I felt welcomed and heard and just wish I had found them sooner!

Crystal Alshamai, PA is a wonderful practitioner who has been instrumental in assisting me in getting my life back to normal. She is kind, understanding and really listens. She explained the diagnosis and treatment plan in a plain and concise manner so I was able to completely understand it. On follow-up visits she solicits my input and uses it to determine if any changes in treatment are necessary. There are no games played here, no unnecessary tests or anything else to separate you from your money, I feel she is 100% honest and trust she has my best interests at heart. The staff is also as nice as can be.

Dr. Trivedi runs a comprehensive practice which offers many solutions to the difficulties of daily living. The Mind, Body philosophy is integrated in his approach in all aspects. I've been a patient for several years who is thriving and healing. Healing is a process and commitment to his patients is his priority. His standards are high and his staff and practice are a reflection. I've been to other doctors and when he told me he was not the type of doctor to disable his patients, I knew he was the best for.me.

My 6 year old daughter has trichotillomania, which is the OCD family. The nurse practitioner immediately put her on anti- anxiety medications. My next appointment was short, they didn't have the blood work result (which I had gotten 2 weeks previously). As we were leaving the NP said directly to my daughter "you don't want to pick you eyebrows honey, you don't want to be ugly." So obviously this is not the place for us and I do NOT recommend them.

I was referred to Dr. Trivedi by my pcp. I was told that his office was wonderful because it wasn’t just about giving medication, but that they also worked on meditation and yoga. When I arrived the staff was professional, the location clean. I was seen by a psychiatric NP. She went through a thorough interview process where as the patient you share every detail about yourself and your past traumas, it makes you relive things from the past, but it’s part of the process so it’s to be expected. At the end she says Dr. Trivedi likes to meet the new patients so she calls him in. He sits down and looks at his cell phone half the time he is in the room(he is only in 7 minutes max). He interrupts the NP as she presents the information regularly. He listens to only a few details from the thorough interview. He started by saying they would help me get on track and two minutes later he said he was recommending they don’t accept me as a patient because I’m not in therapy at the moment. This felt like not just reliving trauma, but then piling on another form of trauma by being rejected by a mental health professional that should at least guide you if he doesn’t feel he can assist. Now two weeks later I receive a bill for over $300 which is the part not covered by insurance(actual cost over $700), for an appointment with mostly the NP and to be rejected and traumatized. This doctor is insensitive and over priced. I do not recommend going here. He needs to learn how to give more one on one attention to the patients and read through the report if he is deciding to reject a patient. Also, if they are going to reject a patient at least provide referrals for other possible avenues they can take. Update July 10th I have now called June 25th, July 3rd and July 10th. I have been told the office manager will get back to me within 72 hours, she has not. I want to know why I was billed for four different things for a 30 minute appointment with NP of which the psychiatrist was physically present but on his phone for only a few of those minutes. The service is absolutely absurd. This is abusive to the patient. How are people supposed to seek help when they get charged like this and get ignored when trying to seek answers.

I give a 3 star because I love the dr I see and most of the staff is very friendly. Today I experienced an encounter with a girl at the check in that I had never seen before. Yea I was late to my appointment, after calling the office multiple times with no answer, get to the office 10 mins late. You would have thought i broke the law the way I was talked to and treated by Hannah. She was very rude and I felt disrespected. To work in an environment of patient care you think the front office would be a little more respectful.

Doesn't listen at all, orders unnecessary tests that cost hundreds, just acts like he can't wait to get you out of his office. He completely disregarded our concerns and past medical history.

Him and his whole office (other than the women at the front desk) are garbage. They don't listen and speak to you as if you're an idiot, they give you zero hand in your treatment. I only saw Dr. Trivedi once, he spoke about me to the PA as if I wasn't sitting in the room, questioned the things that I said as if I were lying, then advised me to stop taking my medication cold turkey. When I questioned him on it, because I know first hand how dangerous that can be, he essentially told me to stay in my lane and that he is the one with "over 20 years of experience" so he knows better than I do. I would not recommend him to anyone, ever. I saw a couple of the PA's on other occasions, they're not any better. Find somewhere else, anywhere else.

I have been going to Dr. Trivedi's office since Crystal was there... however since she has left the place has been on a downward spiral. I'm seeing different doctors every visit and I have only seen Dr. Trivedi once out of the years that I have been there. Before the summer of 2016 I was seeing another assistant at his office who agreed that I should go to a treatment center for an eating disorder, when I came back & saw Dr. Trivedi he said that we wasted out money and that his method would work for me lol. It didn't work for me in the first place ( his methods were giving me pills upon pills). There was a situation where they sent me to a behavioral health center ( that's another story) and now they refuse to see me because I need a " higher level of care" however, we can't afford a " higher level of care" while we are barely paying to go there. The doctors do not care about you even though they claim they " understand". The only positive thing is the receptionist there who is awesome other then that save your money and go somewhere else. EDIT: I would also like to point out that I would see Wendy Holland & she is the worst. She does not deliver medicine on time and doesn't know how to do her job. She is trained in OB heath... not mental health. I am never going back.

Excellent Experience As with most psychiatrists it is difficult to get a new patient appointment. Anywhere you go, at least in the Tampa, FL area, including Pinellas county, you will have to wait months, and sometimes even be denied because the doctor is no long accepting patients. Makes you think how many crazy's we have lol jk. I have been seeing a psychiatrist for most of my life and recently started see Dr. Trivedi and he has been the best one! He actually seemed like he cared. The office in Wesley Chapel is very welcoming and the Staff are always friendly. I would recommend that you see him but then my wait time might be more haha

Horrible customer service, MA should not be able to deny any medication request it should be submitted to the provider. Especially if there is notes stating a valid reason for the Pt to have R/S their appointment.

I've seen many comments pointing out the flaws with this doctor and practice. He likes to make shot-in-the-dark claims, like a patient mentioned about him implying that they were a drug addict. He has also said he would do things and later on forgot, sometimes in the same appointment. He seemed to never take responsibility for forgetting, always insisting he never said it. I don't think he cares or puts the effort into his work like he should, I recommend saving time and starting with a different doctor. Visit Trivedi as a last resort, or not at all.

Firstly I agree with other reviewers you have to jump through hoops, with Dr Trivedi staff members. His staff are HORRIBLE!!! One staff member is extremely obnoxious on the phone and in the office when she took my vitals. Others including the supervisor/ manager Deborah are unreliable. You have to call/leave messages several times and they show they do not care. This is the worst set of staff members at a doctor's office I can recall in a long time. Dr Trivedi is a nice person, and in the beginning I thought he understood my problems, and I will be helped. BUT, after seeing him about two times he told me I will see his assistant on follow up visits. I saw his Assistant after the medication didn't work, and told him I felt the diagnosis is incorrect. I was rediagnose with new medication. When rescheduled for follow up visit I was given a new assistant. By this point trying to deal with staff not passing on messages to Trivedi's assistant, not receiving follow up calls, running out of medication, and prescriptions not sent to pharmacy in a timely fashion - I feel like I am having my teeth pulled! Therefore I quit today 10/20/2016! I regret giving this doctor my time, and money. The medication Dr Trivedi said will fix my problem in 3 DAYS did not! All I received is more stress dealing with his staff, and I question the qualifications of one of his Assistant!

This doctor is absolutely top-notch if anybody is complaining it's because they want drugs and he's not giving it to them. If you want real therapy then you have found the right doctor

I am transferring from another therapist who was by all means not as proactive as the wonderful people I met today. I feel very blessed and grateful to have found this place. I recommend this office very highly.
