Dr. Carroll is the best Dr. I have been to and I have seen about 6 others. She's a very good listener and understands what your going through and you can see it in her facial expressions that she's putting herself in your situation as your telling your your rough times of life. She is very welcoming and makes you feel like you have always known her. Hands down best DR. In Florida State.

Very caring facility indeed... I was turned away for being a new patient. I have never felt so distraught in my life! How can you pledge to help people, when you turn them away? Excellent job indeed!

I highly recommend Dr Caroll for treatment. She has been an important part of several positive events in my recent life. My marriage, kids, business, etc. wouldn't exist without having been properly diagnosed and treated. I even quit smoking(20+ years) 5+ years ago. After reading some of the other reviews I want to speak to the wait time "issue." It is annoying but blame fellow patients tardiness, not the office people trying to deal with it. And lastly, I would worry if I ever walked into any office, doctor, vet, etc. and the waiting room was empty.

Dr.Carol has always been very kind and receptive consistently on my appointments and is quick to call back when I needed help adjusting to new medication. She treats everyone like an adult so it made me a little sad to see some of the bad reviews for her. In my experience, she does not over medicate, but instead listens to what the issues are and medicates accordingly to each patients needs. In my opinion anyone is being over medicated, its not because she isn't doing her job, its because a patient is distorting their issues.

Christie Ellis

I did not particularly 'hate' Dr Carroll. She was alright. However, the workings of this office are atrocious. It takes literally months to get an appointment. Then you ALWAYS wait longer in the waiting room than the actual appointment lasts. I have never been seen within 15 of my actual appointment time. However, they will turn you away and not see you if you are 8 minutes late. Honestly, 8 minutes. I was told that I would not be seen and that I could reschedule for another appointment which the closest available was a month away. What kind of psychiatry office denies mental health patients their appointment to refill medications? If I was 8 minutes late then I still had 7 minutes left of my 15 minute appointment that I could have been seen and given medication refills. This office is one of the only in Brandon that is accepting patients at the moment and they know it. They are not trying to keep my business or help me out, they are trying to collect my copay and move on to the next. Do yourself a favor and drive into Tampa for a Psychiatrist. Dr Carroll is no where near good enough to put up with this kind of treatment.

Dr. Carroll is helping me, through this very dark time in my life; she's very easy to talk to!

Both myself and my Autistic son have been seeing Dr. Carroll for about 10 years. She makes sure that we get back to back appointments so we have plenty of time. On numerous occasions over the years, we have had to call Dr. Carroll for many things such as a change of medication for me and my son to her helping with our guardianship of our son. She knows how hard things have been and has gone above and beyond more times than I can count. She has made my son's life the best that she can and has saved mine. If you are having some problems and you are honest with her, you will not find a better psychiatrist and a great human being combo anywhere in the area

Dr. Devine has been a true blessing to me. The staff is always helpful and always makes me feel welcomed when I go to my visits. I moved to Lakeland and the drive is worth while to have Dr. Devine as my Dr.

Beverlee Frazier

We love her! She is professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and personable. She helps us a lot with a very baffling condition using her skill and knowledge.

The office staff are horrible. Had to pay then wait and wait and wait. Get new office workers!!!!!!

Nichole Huggins

Doctor Carrol is a horrible doctor she over prescribes her patients and doesn't care at all.

Gregory Bailey

I mean honestly from the reviews she must not be that bad. I agree some people quickly feel a doctor is making them a"zombie" or come up with well disillusioned stories about a doctor because they may just have trust issues that go along in with the psychiatric evaluation. A doctor will only prescribe what you tell them to by the way you emotionally and behaviorally show them.

She is the best, she listens and doesn’t assume she knows what’s best

She drops patients. Like the review before mine said. It's true. She lets you talk. She agrees. You pay $50. There are better doctors if you are experiencing the need for counseling. She will drop a patient. Then give excuses. You can not count on her.

Seemed like carrying Doctor but way over prescribed Xanax than when tried to get help she cut me lose. Have anxiety and depression which I need help with and ended up with a Xanax addiction from doctor prescribed medicine. Xanax should only be prescribed short term and doctors need to take more precautions. Do not see that Dr Carroll willing to learn and continues to over prescribe.

Dr. Carroll is an awesome psychiatrist! I started seeing her when my son was diagnosed with ADD over 10 years ago. While there I quickly realized that I too had adult ADD!! She's very easy to talk to and will adjust your medications until you are on the right one and correct dose. She actually listens to what you're saying. Even though my son doesn't see her anymore (he's grown), she asks about him at EVERY visit! Because I love her so much, when my sister needed to see someone she chose Dr. Carroll and drives from S. Tampa to see her (and also loves her). To comment on the horrific review from Christie Ellis; I have NEVER (in 10+ years) experienced the treatment she says she experienced. I'm quite sure I've been more than 8 min late for an appointment and they've never turned me away! Only the new patient appointment is usually hard to get sooner than later because it's a longer appointment and generally mental health providers are booked months in advance because they must see their patients every 3 months (especially if the patient is on certain types of medication that require close monitoring). As for medication refills, as long as you have an appointment set (ie. you had to reschedule your medication management/refill appointment), Dr. Carroll is always willing to write prescriptions to hold you over to your next appointment. You can ask for a refill at the same time you make your next appointment. Dr. Carroll has always gone out of her way (as much as the law allows) to make sure it's easy to refill my medications and always gives me manufacturer coupons if she has them which has saved me a lot of money. Her office even allows you to let them know if you need someone else to pick up your prescription (if it's one that can't be called into a pharmacy by law) As for waiting, I have never had to wait longer than 5-10 min in the waiting room to be seen, and with patience and understanding, this shouldn't be a problem for anyone. Dr. Carroll tries very hard to keep on schedule, but sometimes there will be a patient that requires a few extra minutes of her time. I know I have never felt like she was watching the clock for that magic 15 min to be up and honestly most appointments only need 15 min if you're just in there for medication management/refills. Hopefully, Kristie's experience has gotten better because it's the complete opposite of what I've experienced for over 10 years! I honestly love going to see her!

Dr. Carroll has been treating my daughter and me for about 12 years. She is understanding and she pays attention to what you talk about from visit to visit...she remembers a lot. Her knowledge of the chemical/medicine side of things is unbelievable, and she talks to you about options. She has gone above and beyond for us when working on insurance approvals. Nothing but good things to say from me :)
