Dr. Carroll is an awesome psychiatrist! I started seeing her when my son was diagnosed with ADD over 10 years ago. While there I quickly realized that I too had adult ADD!! She's very easy to talk to and will adjust your medications until you are on the right one and correct dose. She actually listens to what you're saying. Even though my son doesn't see her anymore (he's grown), she asks about him at EVERY visit! Because I love her so much, when my sister needed to see someone she chose Dr. Carroll and drives from S. Tampa to see her (and also loves her). To comment on the horrific review from Christie Ellis; I have NEVER (in 10+ years) experienced the treatment she says she experienced. I'm quite sure I've been more than 8 min late for an appointment and they've never turned me away! Only the new patient appointment is usually hard to get sooner than later because it's a longer appointment and generally mental health providers are booked months in advance because they must see their patients every 3 months (especially if the patient is on certain types of medication that require close monitoring). As for medication refills, as long as you have an appointment set (ie. you had to reschedule your medication management/refill appointment), Dr. Carroll is always willing to write prescriptions to hold you over to your next appointment. You can ask for a refill at the same time you make your next appointment. Dr. Carroll has always gone out of her way (as much as the law allows) to make sure it's easy to refill my medications and always gives me manufacturer coupons if she has them which has saved me a lot of money. Her office even allows you to let them know if you need someone else to pick up your prescription (if it's one that can't be called into a pharmacy by law) As for waiting, I have never had to wait longer than 5-10 min in the waiting room to be seen, and with patience and understanding, this shouldn't be a problem for anyone. Dr. Carroll tries very hard to keep on schedule, but sometimes there will be a patient that requires a few extra minutes of her time. I know I have never felt like she was watching the clock for that magic 15 min to be up and honestly most appointments only need 15 min if you're just in there for medication management/refills. Hopefully, Kristie's experience has gotten better because it's the complete opposite of what I've experienced for over 10 years! I honestly love going to see her!
