REVIEWS OF APG Health IN Florida

John Murray

My experience has been excellent; I have only dealt with Marjorie and Maria, so I can't speak to everyone else on staff or others clients experiences. I find them to be professional, friendly, attentive and I feel like they genuinely care about my well being.

Overall it's taking some time but they've been real helpful.

I love Dr Harden! Everything else is a zero! The staff are rude, apathetic and seemed to be bothered to speak to a patient and interrupt them. Your entire office needs intense training in sensitivity and customer service! I’m seriously searching for a new Dr because of your staff! There are no excuses for this level of treatment to patients. I see many more patients saying the same, in other reviews yet no response about that issue! Patients have a choice and have the choice to reduce your revenue. Your turnover is a clear indication that your office really needs an overhaul and training. An organization’s morale is exactly the example as the leader portrays. Is this an office you are proud of? Y’all COULD be amazing! Do you care?

HORRIBLE OFFICE!!!! if you can find another office, do so!!! they will write RX's and not help with prior auths!!! you will have to jump thru hoops to get them to do anything. they DO NOT care about their patients, they just want to get paid on their offices visits. After that, best of luck to you!! they DO NOT CARE if you have to come off your meds they WILL NOT i repeat WILL NOT for ANY reason call your insurance for you...PERIOD!!! BEWARE~~

Maria Rogers

Terrible, terrible experience with their administrators and service in general. Extremely rude to the point I was in tears a few times dealing with them. Have since found a new practice and they are wonderful.

I have been coming to see Dr. Ocascio at APG for the past year now. He is a wonderful doctor, always friendly and genuinely cares about your well being. The administrative staff on the other hand is the absolute opposite. My only complaint about Dr. Ocascio is that his schedule is 100% inflexible (hours 8 or 9-12). They will fine you $50 if you cancel or miss an appointment and don't give them notice within 2 business days, even if you can't get through to their office which happens often. I have cancelled twice and have been able to pay my fee for the cancellation when I come in to see him the next available time. I'm assuming their policy has changed because now you have to pay the fee over the phone before you can reschedule another appointment. If you have medications that need to be filled and can't see your doctor they fine you for EVERYTHING. All they care about is money. They don't care about the mental well-being of their loyal patients one bit. I will NEVER be back to this office and do not have ONE nice thing to say about their office staff or administration.

It is tough finding decent medical care especially in the mental health field. Luckily, I found Felicia Turner. She has helped me understand myself more and always encouraged me to be positive and strive for more. I finally found someone I could trust and open up to without feeling stigmatized. I was sad to find out that she will no longer be with APG anymore. I wish her success in all of her future endeavors because she is a beautiful person inside and out. I hope more people like her come into this field of work because her awesome attitude and empathetic nature is what is needed when it comes to mental health. I’m unsure about my future with APG, when I visit the office everyone is like a robot. I never feel like they care or actually concerned unless it has to do with a payment, but when I see Felicia she always greeted me with a warm smile. I feel bad about APG’s future without this shining star.

APG has excellent customer service. The office employees are friendly, efficient and professional. Dr. William Jeter is outstanding ! He absolutely cares about his clients and always takes the time to have a lengthy discussion. He seems to be an expert with helping first responders and thier families. I have recommended a few friends to Dr. Jeter and they all feel fortunate to be under his care.

Wife has been going to this place with no success in getting them to return calls or address her medical and serious concerns. People go to these places for mental health issues, but staff that works here don’t really care about their patients. Tired of facilitating a wealthy life to some that take advantage of the system. Avoid this place at all cause!!! Unprofessional staff and don’t really care for anyone. Unsure as to how they are able maintain a clinic providing “medical” service to our community. Please close down clinic or take your damn job seriously! Please do not provide typical boiler plate feedback and do something about it. As you can see, feedback reviews speak for themselves.

I want to let you all know about my experience at APG. I went as a new patient and saw Felicia Turner. From the time I walked in everything was top notch. The young man who checked me in at the front desk was incredibly professional and the check in process was a breeze. I filled out all of my forms online so all I did was pay my $25 copay. Within minutes Felicia Turner came out and welcomed me. We sat down in her office and she went through my record and my symptoms. She asked me what has and has not worked in the past and gave me input. I was so happy about that. I had seen a psychiatrist last month who kept giving me what he thought I needed and I kept telling him those meds gave me terrible side effects. He kept pushing more and more meds that I didn’t want. I told Felicia what has worked in the past for me. I also told her I didn’t want to be on anything that I take all the time. I wanted a med that that I could take maybe a few times or more a week. I don’t like the way I feel on all the psychiatric meds and I HATE the sexual side effects. She agreed and said she doesn’t make anyone take anything they don’t want to take. I wish all Doctors would share her thinking. By the end of the appointment I was happy with my treatment plan. I wanted to write this review because I saw so many negative reviews about APG. I am very happy with my experience from start to finish. The front office staff was courteous, professional, and prompt. Felicia Turner was incredibly professional, warm, caring, and she listened to me. APG and Felicia Turner, thank you and I look forward to being a part of APG for years to come.

I've had so much run-around with other psychiatrists in Orlando. The front desk at APG Health was helpful scheduling my appointment and processing payments. I am doing private pay because of my crappy insurance, but I'll still take the financial hit for good psychiatric care. Jessie Mayne was my Nurse Practitioner and she had an appointment available within a week of calling. Rather than the 3 month wait I was finding with smaller, independent psychiatrists. I am happy and I'll update this review, as good mental health care is hard to find.

My last visit I was late to my appointment, expecting to be sent away with no sympathy and with a cancellation fee. Instead the front desk greeted me with concern and asked me if I was okay. They tried their best to accommodate me for my own tardiness and took care of me.

DO NOT COME HERE. Im not one to make posts but this place has proven to be my inspiration. I'm not going to go into detail about my personal experience here but I do want to warn you. Do your future self a favor and go anywhere else but here. STAY AWAY.

Sasha Griffin was very knowledgeable and helpful. Her assistant, Felicia responded quickly when I called and left a message. This was our first appt.

I have been treating with Dr Jeter since 2013. I still to this day 2019, I am still growing in a positive direction and much happier! The staff is always supportive, you may have challenges. Alex the COO always finds positive solutions to these situations.

Wonderful doctors, but unfortunately you have to deal with the horrid office staff to get to see them, and thats a nightmare I don't wish upon anyone. Please, do yourself a favor and find another practice. P.S. John Nadjafi if you are reading this I sent you an email about the issue but I have my doubts you will get it. P.P.S. Don't tell me to call and talk to Lourdes. Been there, done that. She is the worst.

Kimberly Inderwiesen

Arrived 5 minutes late due to traffic and would not be seen due to the provider "not having enough time to treat". They attempted to reschedule my appointment almost a month later. I had needed to be seen due to terrible side effects from the medications I was prescribed and felt at a loss when they couldn't help me. The service here is terrible as other reviews have noted. Avoid and seek treatment elsewhere if you can.

The administrative staff were rude and unhelpful. They have no sympathy towards their customers so I guess they don’t care about losing them. They take appointments before 9 but won’t answer the phone so if you’re running late because of the terrible downtown traffic, they just skip over your appointment and make you reschedule. I won’t be going back!

I called the office almost two weeks ago to discuss my prescription refills and my current situation with my doctors assistant, was told I would get a call back the same day- been 12 days and still NOTHING. How unprofessional! Not to mention the medications that this practice SUGGESTED I take have very harmful withdrawal side effects including seizures, etc. I’ve had to pay out of pocket for an urgent care appointment now to get my medication- and was only given a two week supply so I’m now scrambling to try to find a new doctor since apparently I’m no longer a patient that matters! After all the money my insurance has paid out to this place and the money I’ve personally paid in copays...disgusts me! Very poor customer service and patient care, shame on them. Stay away!!!

Do not go here if you don't want to get scammed. I was very late to my appointment because I was told the wrong time for my appointment when I called to double check, and then had a lot of trouble both finding the place and finding parking. I was still charged, which was not really fair, especially considering I was told the wrong time. I still would have been ok with paying it if they weren't charging me a hundred dollars more than what they told me the charge would be if I missed the appointment. I literally still have the voicemail on my phone if them clearly stating 50 dollars for not showing up, not 150. When my mom called to talk to them about the fee, they said they were still charging me 150 dollars because I signed paperwork saying I understood this. I made the appointment over the phone and had never been to their office before that day. And when I was briefly in their office, I only spoke to the receptionist (who was very rude) and did not sign or even look at any paperwork. They are extremely dishonest and only want your money.

I have been going to APG with my brother for years. I completely understand why there is such a broad spectrum of reviews and opinions about the practice. My brother is diagnosed bipolar and it's been a long road since he was diagnosed (@wes_is_more_ on twitter). I've been to APG at least 50 times in the past five years. I've met Dr Nadjafi, Dr. Jeter, ARNP Giselle Bolt, and ARNP Maria Viloria. In my experience, they are all incredibly skilled, caring and professional individuals each with their own style and way they care for their patients. I was so impressed with how they took care of my brother that I made an appointment when I experienced severe postpartum depression after my baby girl was born. They helped me through with the same care they showed my brother since he was first referred to Dr. Nadjafi. Over the years they have gone out of their way to help when my brother was out of prescriptions and was unable to get them filled in time. They have referred us to emergency services when necessary, they have made exceptions for missed appointment fees and have fit us in when we were running late, when they were able. I'm incredibly grateful for the way they have cared for my brother and me over the years. With that said, I read all of the 1-star reviews they have on Google and I understand where those folks are coming from. The administrative staff at APG is incredibly structured, consistent, rigid at times and extremely busy. From what I can tell they are a hardworking crew in a difficult field of medicine with a tremendous patient load. Even though they have made exceptions at times for missed appointments and have fit us in when they could for a late visit, there have also been times when they have charged more than I was expecting, have not waived fees, have been unable to accommodate our schedules, have taken longer than a few days to respond to insurance companies, and have played phone tag for days (I for sure contributed to the rampant PTS -- phone tag syndrome). All in all, I highly recommend the practice and physicians and I'm impressed with the way the administrative staff hustles to care for patients. Certainly there are some things APG can improve. Maybe if their team read "Heart of Hospitality" or watched Empathy: The Human Connection to Patient Care by the Cleveland Clinic on YouTube; they could work together to improve their front office care in order for them to help more patients feel cared for more often. I hope they do. The world needs more access to doctors like the ones I've met at APG. Even if it never gets better, they still do a hell of a job IMHO. ----- Dr. Nadjafi and friends -- if you read this, one last thing to consider. Maybe consider starting your review responses with "Hi, Kate -- we..." instead of "This is the Practice Administrator for APG Healthcare." and be willing to listen to what people are saying and where they are frustrated. It's very possible that you acknowledge the areas you can get better. If you do, your "from the owner" responses on Google could do better to reflect the way you all try to care for patients.

I’ve been going to this office and seeing Dr. Balsam since 2011. I adore him and his assistant Zori!! Really every staff member that I’ve been in contact with is amazing!! Marjorie (spelling?? Sorry) , Anthony, and Alex are just a few that are always friendly and extremely helpful! It means more than y’all know!! Dr. Balsam truly listens and gives honest and helpful feedback. I’ve grown and learned so much from him. But I’m still learning! Lol. He’s helped me when nobody else could. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Andrea Giselle

Horrible horrible experience. I’ve been trying to schedule an appointment since August with Dr. Harden. The first time they moved my appointment until November. When that appointment came around they cancelled it for no reason and never notified me. I called to ask and they rescheduled it for today, but when I showed up to the office they said they never scheduled the new patient appointment so they cancelled again. I’m now on the search again for another psychiatrist. Also, they don’t answer the phone and return calls. DONT COME HERE!!!

I found this place after a lot of research and fails of other psychiatrists, and i am so so happy i did. Originally i made the drive from Titusville and now make it from Tampa, but it’s totally worth it. Felicia Turner is amazing and although she doesn’t provide therapy she always listens to anything you want to talk about and just makes you feel actually cared about, which i’ve found is something that’s lacking from other doctors. The rest of the staff is also very friendly and helpful. This is truly the best psychiatric group i’ve ever found

Love my doctor and love the customer service. I’ve had it all happen - showed up to my appointment at the wrong time, lost my wallet so I had to be billed, needed new prescriptions ASAP and all has always been taken care of. I’ve had two doctors at this practice and loved both of them. Great facility and staff.

Was late by 5 minutes and completely cancelled the appointment when the reason to be there was to manage psychotropic drugs and anti anxiety meds. They have and nurse practitioner Jessie Mayne is completely unprofessional and lacking in any bed side manner. Paid 35 dollars to have a prescription refilled, which was in fact lost, and they didn’t send it for days, gave me four or five different reason for different people. How this place stays open I have no idea. These people cause more harm than good.

This office is truly terrible. I went here about a year and a half ago and was very unhappy with Dr. N's bedside manner (I felt unheard, slightly insulted by various jokes, and the office never took my medical records from my past psychologist. Which is of the utmost importance when working with patients. I don't see how someone could accurately prescribe something based on word of mouth instead of true history. Especially concerning mental illness patients.) For example of a "joke" that was very disheartening and sad, the Dr said one treatment is "my last hope". Literally, in those words. I had tried to find another psychiatrist in the area, but after 2 worse experiences we went back here out of sheer desperation. Now, it has been even worse. My husband has been working a lot on my behalf to try to get insurance for a treatment. A treatment that WE brought up, mind you. And we have LITERALLY done all of the work. We researched the treatment in depth and brought it up to the Doctor. He thought it was a good idea and said that insurance could take a while. Which is completely understandable and expected. Anyone with medical problems has experienced issues with insurance taking a long time. However, we did all of the work contacting them and getting my old medical records. It wasn't even me, it was my husband who made all the calls and kept in touch. He would call APG often, but they have never had updates and it has been over 3 months. Now, we know directly from our insurance company last week that it was approved. APG somehow still doesn't. They could call if they hadn't received a fax or letter. To boot, it wouldn't have taken this long if APG had HAD MY MEDICAL RECORDS TO BEGIN WITH. It truly terrifies me that they were prescribing me stuff without knowing my history, and it explains why I had a multitude of horrible experiences taking medication that I never needed to try. But if my records were on hand for the doctor, he would have known to believe me when I say I'm medicine resistant and not continue to make me try new pills that always led to a worse time for me. Today, the office called my husband and I was on speaker phone with them. I believe her name was Alex. They rarely reach out to me, and we had been trying to contact them back after finally leaving me a voicemail last week. The extension she gave never worked and she wasn't in the office most of last week so WE called them today. Alex argued with my husband about me leaving a one star review and said they don't want to work with someone who feels this way because they believe they provide "excellent care". I heard her literally argue with my husband instead of saying "what's wrong and how can we fix it?". Instead, she said how much the doctor cares about his reviews. And she wouldn't let us talk to him or give us an email address. Which is understandable I guess, but certainly not helpful. She argued with us on every point we brought up. It was so infuriating that I was shaking and started crying. They should understand the effects of mental illness if they provide such "excellent care". They should be in contact with us more, actually putting in work on my behalf instead of making us do it. If I was without the help of my husband, I'm positive nothing would have gotten done. Because he did every thing. He obtained medical records and spoke in direct contact with our insurance throughout. He calls the office when they don't call us (except to be mad I left a one star review). I am infuriated and extremely sad. When we called back to say how displeased we are with the way we've been treated (especially with this Alex lady on the phone today), she argued AGAIN and said that a bad review can turn away people who need help. Well, my husband said it and he was right. People SHOULD look elsewhere for care. I absolutely will be, with the help of my husband thank goodness. Because I am in such a bad way that I cannot do a lot for myself. As soon as we find somewhere that has decent care, I will edit this review to suggest where people SHOULD go to get help

Was in there about 18 mins, cost $150 with insurance. Was referred to another place that will cost $700 that i cannot afford. They repeatedly told me i wouldnt get pills or medication, and i was only there for a consultation and never once brought up pills or medication. Also the waiting room is about 82 degrees so wear something light.

Dr Jeter is amazing however, beware of "Lourdes." She is his nasty assistant and apart of the office staff. She takes her misery out on their patients which is such a shame. Avoid talking to her at all costs. Without this horrible woman, I and several other people, would rate this office 5 stars

Cassandra Nadelen

This office had an amazing staff! I love Marjorie, the receptionist, who always understands if I need to reschedule (in a timely manner), or if I need to speak to someone. Anthony is darling! He always has a smile in person, and it’s like you can see it through the phone! Dr. Jeter is utterly brilliant. I have been seeing him for approximately 2 years, now, and have withheld any comment to assess any inconsistencies. Well, I can truly say that he will do ANYTHING for anyone of his patients to bring them comfort and treat them as best as he can. He gives people more time than their scheduled session, at times because he ACTUALLY cares about his patients. I have OVERCOME AGORAPHOBIA BECAUSE OF DR. JETER!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! It’s my livelihood, and being petrified to get behind the wheel cuts off your life. He ALWAYS offers suggestions, and sometimes, it may resolve in small progress or we try something else. He never makes me feel like I failed. He seems to be the most gentle, understanding, person I’ve ever met. I was referred to him. I never saw male physicians. Now, I couldn’t trust anyone else. He’s the easiest person to talk to! You must visit this Psychiatrist if anything is bothering you!

Karla Moss

Great doctors! It would be a great place if we did not have to deal with the staff. They are terrible, especially Lourdes. Not only she is rude and inconsiderate, she can't relay a simple message to the doctor. She either miscommunicate the message or just plainly ignores you. She NEVER answers her phone. The rest of the staff is not much better either. I once needed them to fax a form to my insurance and they never did even though I followed up several times via email and phone calls. It is unfortunate that we cannot reach the doctors and have to interact with personnel who is clearly not cut or trained to deal with people let alone people with mental health problems who are already vulnerable and fragile.

Rebecca Evenson

I met with Felicia Turner yesterday and it was an absolute joy. My psychiatrist for years relocated and it's been tough finding someone else. However, Felicia Turner exceeded my expectations and made me feel like she genuinely cares about my treatment. She even gave me several ways of contacting her to ensure I am able to voice my concerns if I have any.

Patricia

I have to pay double my normal copay here. That being said I feel as though the service makes the payment worth it. Although I only come here for medication and have 15 min appointments when I feel like talking my provider always listens and makes me feel cared for even though I don’t come here for therapy. She truly cares. Thank you Felicia Turner! ♥️♥️♥️

Great For Mental Health Treatment, When You Have REALISTIC Expectations. I can't speak for others, but my experience has been good, due to my realistic expectations of healthcare, and the screwed process of coping with mental illness. I've been going to APG for a little under two years now. While I haven't seen one of the psychiatrists(They're very popular and always booked), I see the nurse practitioners. I've liked both of my NPs so far, they listen to your concerns, and try and get you on the best thing for your symptoms. I make sure to keep track of my changes, so I can keep them informed and we can stay on track. I am very firm about my mental health treatment, which is probably why I don't have many problems. They will also allow someone to come with you during your appointment if you're nervous. The reception has always been very good to me, if a problem comes up, they do their best to work with me. If my deductible was high, and I didn't have enough money, they were patient and helpful, as long as I am meeting them halfway with compromises. I've been reassigned NPs twice, only because my first two left for other offers. But When I told Felicia T. my concerns about switching nurses, she made sure to schedule me with a seasoned NP who would make sure things were handled. All you have to do is communicate. People have left nasty reviews, because they don't understand that NPs can help with diagnoses, prescribe meds, and help you narrow down why meds might not be working, or why different feelings are coming on. But, they aren't therapists, or counselors, appointments with NPs are usually very medication focused. Which is why you might see people complain about how "they don't care about anything but the prescription." If you want to talk things out in depth for more than 20 minutes, make sure you don't schedule with an NP, that's simply not their job. If you let the appointment out of your control, and don't tell them everything that's going on, they can't help. Patient and provider have to meet halfway, because you can't expect them to pull teeth for how you are feeling.

I was in desperate need of some help after I had some tragic life events happen and thank God I found Felicia Turner. She has been patient, empathetic and she is amazing at what she does. She knew exactly what medication I needed and I feel like a brand new person. The staff here is great, I am very surprised by the negative reviews. I have had a pleasant experience every time I go here. I really would give this place a chance, it had changed my life and I know it will to yours if you need the help.

I have only can say good things about APG. Thanks

Agree with all the others who have had an awesome doctor but dealt with terrible customer service as it relates to the office staff. Rude, completely unprofessional, and unhelpful.

Jaimie Morris

I have been struggling with mental health problems for some time now. I have seen multiple doctors who refused to look into the medications I was initially put on, who refused to ask questions to get to the bottom of my problems, and left me feeling helpless. For the first time, I feel like I have found a place that genuinely wants to help. The front desk staff is so friendly and efficient. Maria seems to genuinely want to ask about my problems, about my concerns, and actually find a solution. She seems to genuinely care about my health, well being, concerns...I would absolutely recommend this place to people feeling like they need help.

The receptionist verified my insurance and told me that it was a $10 copay. 2 weeks later I received a call that they don't accept my insurance and now they want to charge me $295! Stay away! There is no way for them to know if they accept your insurance or not, they will surprise you with a bill down the road!

Peter Bernard

I went to apg on April 4th 2018. Before I came I asked the front desk who made my appointment what my copay would be she said zero. Once at my appointment I then again asked what my copay would be for a second time I was told zero. Three weeks later I received a bill for 20 dollar copay. I wouldn't mind paying it but I was told differently twice. When I called back they told me they can look online for the benefits but can't see everything and a good amount of times it is incorrect and they have to send a bill later. I asked her why wouldn't they tell cleints this? I specificaly asked twice how much it was gonna cost so why wasn't it explained that they see zero but sometimes the computer system is wrong and I may receive a bill down the road? She told me that there is no way to know that, when the girls checked it said zero. I said yes but you just said that it has been incorrect for multiple people many times so if you guys had that knowledge why wouldn't it be told to us? She just told me that it's my responsibility to know my benefits, it's my insurance etc. Basically trying to blame it on me. Yes, I didn't know my benefits for this. I've never been to a mental health clinic That is why I asked twice and you guys so confidently told me it was covered with no co-payment. She then told me that there is nothing she can do and she doesn't know what I want her to say to me. I just told her that they need to give there clients this info because it is decieving business practice. I told her I will not be back and write this review. I was going to say but I'll still gonna pay my bill and see if she could just pay for it over the phone but as soon as I mentioned that I was writing a review she said have a blessed day and hung up on me! I have worked in customer service and been at a front desk for over five years and no matter how mad someone made me I have never hung up on anyone. Everyone at the front needs to be retrained! Do not go here!!!

Rachel S.

I've changed my views about this center from 1-100! It took a while to come to pinpoint my real underlying cause of anxiety. With patience and caring on behalf of this amazing staff and excellent Dr's I was able to finally come to life. Words cannot express just how great they have helped me and helped me get my perspective and life back on track. For this I feel no shame but gratefulness because after living traumatic experiences I was able to overcome these with their help and support and better yet pinpointing the real cause. Something no other medical center has ever done. Sad thing is if you don't seek help and if you're not honest with your symptoms you'll not get adequate help. I'm glad I did and came to the right place. Thank you for helping me get back to my life. Forever grateful.

Jessica Bass

I have seen three of the ARNPs here and absolutely none of them have had any compassion for my issues. I felt like they were just throwing medications at me hoping one would stick and then not even put me on a taper plan to come off of the medication so I would suffer horrible side effects for, sometimes, weeks to months on end. I was put on abilify 10mg right off the bat w/o starting on a lower dose and it took me MONTHS to get off of it. Abilify is an antipsychotic which I 100% did not even NEED. I was put on buspar as well and said I was too drowsy from it and was told that that would just go away and was put on an even HIGHER dose and felt like I would constantly fall asleep in class/driving to work. I can't even count how many medications were thrown at me which didn't even address my main issues of social anxiety/GAD, depression, and possible ADD. My anxiety and depression has been misdiagnosed multiple times so I was put on medications that I didn't need to be put on whatosever. I come in saying that I am having more anxiety than usual and am told that they were going to lower my antianxiety medication because it's "company policy" to not be on a certain amount of mg/day so regardless of my legitimate suffering they didn't care. They wouldn't even bother utilizing the ashton manual for benzo withdrawal when I told my first ARNP that I wanted to eventually lower/get off my anti-anxiety medicaiton because she didn't want to put me on two benzos at once eves though the ashton method has been proven to be successful in many studies. I have wasted so much time and money here on what I feel are to be incompetent ARNPs who don't even care about their patients or their actual mental well-being. I paid 125$ for a 15 minute session every month for 11 months before I got fed up and found an actual doctor who wanted to listen and understood basic medications and the fact that you can't quit certain medications COLD TURKEY or w/o a taper plan. Please please do not even bother coming here.

I am so happy to have found Felicia Turner and Ines Valoria at APG. The staff overall are great to work with and very accommodating. Everything from booking my first appointment to my follow ups and even wait times have been fantastic. Ms. Felicia and Ms. Ines have helped me manage my depression and anxiety. Tldr: unless you can see Dr. N, go to another office. This one's a nightmare. I've been going here for around 3 years, having seen two psychiatrists, and this is the most disorganized office ive seen. My prescription has not changed once since I've been here and it has been wrong 4 times. I then have to drive all the way back to pick up a new script, and wait for an hour before they can hand me a piece of paper because they didn't know I needed a corrected one. You'd think it would be waiting for me with 24 hours notice. Most recently my psychiatrist moved and the office just "forgot" to call me to tell me they canceled my appointment. I drove 45 minutes and took the day off work for them to say what do you want us to do about it? I came in one day and suddenly my insurance was no longer accepted. I asked why they didn't bother to call a day or two before and give me a heads up, they said it's not that big of a deal. It was accepted for 2 years at that time and now i have to pay out of pocket, over $100 more than I expected. They've even told me I had a $50 fee for canceling(my fault), and I called back the next day to reschedule and they had no fee on record. That disorganized. This isn't my first rodeo, I've been to several different offices over 10 or so years. Unless you can get in with Dr. N upstairs look elsewhere. He's great, but even still I'm not sure the office is worth the hassle. I never left because I'm stable and all I need out of those 10 min appointments are the script for meds. Finding a new office is a lot of work.

Worst service of my life. If you can avoid these thugs, please do. For all the money I am paying, I would think they would at least treat me better. Don't expect them to care about anything but your money.

I know everyone takes psychiatric reviews with a grain of salt because we’re all mentally ill, but let me warn you with the best of my cognitive ability that Doctor Nagifi is not someone I would recommend to anyone. He clearly looks down on his patients as less than humanly capable than himself due to their illness. I requested records and was denied my own personal documents. The receptionist tried to tell me that it was illeagle to release medical records in the state of Florida to patients which is clearly a lie because Orlando Central Behavioral hospital as well as my other psychiatrist that I changed to after leaving APG had no issue forwarding every single paper from my medical history. The office itself is so majorly aware of the malpractice going on that they don’t even want to give you your own records and are willing to go to the extent of claiming that it’s illegal to do so. Thankfully, I found a brand new doctor that was able to take over my psychiatric care and help me recover from this horrible experience.

I have been going to here for years. Unfortunately I will no longer go to them for the unprofessional practices. Lose your prescription 35.00 or you can come in again and see the doctor and pay another 35.00 . I travel extensively and lost my prescription....first time. No compassion. No...we will let it slide this time. I could understand if I lost it every time, but this is the first time in 7 years. Not my cup of tea.

Extremely rude.

The staff is very understanding of patients' needs. My doctor is a good listener.

Update: They actually discharged my wife from Dr. Nadjafi's care because we wouldn't remove our bad review. What kind of thin-skinned, egotistical man would rather send a patient away instead of trying to fix his mistakes? Their response states that insurance takes a long time. I repeatedly check with our insurance company, they never received the information APG claims to have submitted long before our first review. Read the other one-star reviews, take their advice, don't go here. Original review: Absolutely devastating experience with both the doctors and the office staff here. My wife's treatment consisted of cycling through a few antidepressants before being told she was out of options and she would just have to "self-manage" with anxiety meds as needed. We managed for a while until it got so bad we had to go back, and we had to suggest to the doctor the new FDA approved esketamine treatment. I don't know why the doctor couldn't think of this himself. He even made a joke during our session: "sounds like this treatment is your last chance, huh?" Esketamine required an appeal to our insurance company, and during the appeal process we learned the doctor had been treating her without first looking at her medical history (10 years of previous experience with antidepressants - completely ignored). No one bothered to ask, despite our insistence on filling out a release form. The appeal process required gathering medical records, and the office staff said they weren't receiving a response from previous doctors. This went on for 2 weeks before I decided to try to get the records myself. It took me 2 days. I had to email copies to the APG front desk. No response to my email. Right now we are waiting on a prescription refill from APG. The pharmacy sent a refill request on the 29th and the 31st. The pharmacist told me "it's actually quite unusual that they haven't responded at all" - not to confirm or deny the request. I'm sure they'll claim they never received it, then deny it. When my wife left a bad review like this one, they finally called us. They said they've provided excellent care and they'd appreciate us removing the review. They said they'd prefer not to work with patients who don't appreciate their care. So that's it. Remove the bad review or we won't treat you anymore. This office is unprofessional, the doctor was oblivious and rude, and the care entirely inadequate. My wife would be healthier today had she not seen any doctor at all.

Dr. Chyu is the best!

I initially rated one star without posting any feedback, but now they're claiming I was never a patient, and I'm being unethical for posting "fake reviews." I was in their care from 2013-2014. Horrible, horrible practice. My initial evaluation was extremely short, and I was dismissed without having my needs heard or felt. The professionals are not compassionate, and will dismiss you as a patient if they feel you're an inconvenience. I recommend avoiding this place.

Edit to the original review in response to the "Response" from the owner: Two working days for refill requests? It once took no less than fourteen days, and on many occasions took 7 - 10 days. Call the office and speak to the provider's assistant? You'd better believe we did, multiple times. You are absolutely correct, my insurance company does not require authorization for office visits. However, it does require proper ICD 10 coding for payment. A conversation which I had, many, many times with the office staff who always stated, “Your insurance doesn’t have the proper address on file.” When I spoke to my insurance company who stated it was coding, the office staff refused to speak to my insurance company, even when I had them on the phone. It wasn’t that it wasn’t covered, it’s that your office couldn’t code my bill properly and refused to admit or even look into the possibility of them making an error. But more so than billing, when I had an allergic reaction with hives, your office staff did not return three phone calls. When we did reach someone, we were told it would be two weeks before I could be seen. I was forced to go cold turkey on medication because of this. This was wonderful for my mental health. I will repeat – if you have any option, do not go to this practice. They cannot bill properly, and have no sense of urgency when medications are not working. My original Review is as follows: Avoid Advanced Psychiatric Group like the plague. The office doesn't respond to refill requests in a timely fashion (I've had the pharmacy send over one three weeks ago and one two weeks ago, and when I called the office to see why they hadn't been responded to, I got what can only be described as the sound of a blank stare over the phone.) Multiple times, they've sent the wrong codes over to insurance, so that visits are not approved from insurance, and even when we've explained to them what they're doing, that we know what they're doing, and that we can tell them exactly what to fix, they blame it on us or the insurance company and refuse to see anyone unless they self-pay and hope insurance reimburses when they get around to fixing their screw-ups. These are just the two most egregious examples in a long, and very consistent list. Hopefully I can save someone else some agony.

Maria Vilorio is an excellent, compassionate, and knowledgeable provider. I highly recommend her and the APG practice.

Courteous, friendly and very helpful office staff. Particularly efficient and helpful with insurance questions. Dr. Jeter is a great listener...empathetic, observant, insightful, totally non-judgemental, and professional.

I am a mom trying to help save her daughter, and would love to provide a positive experience, I really would as this place was recommended by a friend. My daughter filled out all forms and has made several calls pleading to be seen since the last week in August, however, in the only communication she received from this office was told “We will get to you when we get to you.” She has not heard from them since to have an appointment scheduled. Unfortunately I cannot leave anything positive regarding the staff sensitivity toward the individuals who are desperately reaching out for help before it is too late.

Above and Beyond. I am thankful for the Practice Manager Alex who went above and beyond. I recently experienced an issue with my insurance provider who attempted to deny my prescription. They demanded that I (and the practice) jump through hoops by submitting paperwork for pre-authorization approval. They did not expect for Alex (and my Provider Jesse) to jump through EVERY hoop thrown their way! In addition, I voiced concern over an encounter with a team member at the practice. I felt the concern was used as a teachable moment, and handled in a professional and respectful manner. Lastly, Marjorie is awesome! She ALWAYS greets you with a smile and is very respectful. She remembers your name and makes you feel like you're more than just a number.

Dr. Jeter is excellent and goes to great lengths to help his patients. Had a few minor issues with the assistant’s failure to follow up, otherwise this would be 5 stars.
