If I could give less than 1 star I would. I financially couldn’t afford an appointment they refused to refill my medication and basically said good luck after going there for 2 years. I cannot afford a new doctor, I’m moving home in 4 weeks where I have my doctors and they STILL wouldn’t give me one refill. Awful horrible unprofessional and UNSAFE it’s not medically responsible to stop the medications I was on cold turkey but I had no choice bc I cannot afford a new doctor there response was “call 911 or go to ER” treating someone with an anxiety disorder like this is awful and horrible and they should lose their license for stopping my medication. HORRIBLE Don’t see anyone at Advantage Mental Health

I have been seeing Lisa for several months now. She absolutely listens to everything that you tell her. I am feeling so much better now even though there were a few obstacles with medication as far as allergies but she figured it out. She does not dismiss anything as insignificant. I trust her whole heartedly. The staff is very nice, friendly and extremely diligent in returning my calls. I would highly recommend this office for anyone who is having problems.

Today was my first visit and I could not say how thrilled I am. The staff are so helpful and kind (thank you Nikki and David). It was very homey, yet extremely professional. I've looked for so long for a good place to aid me with my panic disorder with agoraphobia. Not only with medication, but beyond. This is the place I've been looking for. Lisa Ramos-Archbold, ARNP-C is wonderful and a great listener. She';s kind and empathetic. I must say I was very nervous, but my my fears have been laid to rest. If you're looking for a good place to help you, this is the place. These people actually care. Thank you to each and every one of you! One less stress on my soul is a great thing.

I called and spoke to the owner and discussed that I did not want to continue to try ssri medication. I have not had a good experience with psychiatrists pushing medication that I’ve researched and tried multiple times that did not work as intended. They said they would be able to help accommodate me, however once l went in and discussed what I had found effective and helpful, the Dr. named Sarah Bernstein refused to give me what I’ve found to be helpful and tried pushing Effexor which is an snri which I had also expressed that I did not want. When I told them that I wouldn’t take the medication I explicitly said I didn’t want we ended the appointment with no prescription and me leaving the office 150 dollars down and no medicine. Do not recommend this place.

I just had a new patient appointment on Friday with Lisa Ramos-Archbold, ARNP and I can confidently say that it was the best decision I’ve made in a very long time. After having my initial evaluation, I left there feeling hopeful and like a new person overall. So very grateful for experienced, professional, and intelligent mental health providers such as Lisa. Very refreshing!!!! It’s so difficult to find a decent mental health practitioner that will not only prescribe medication but take the time to correctly diagnose their patients. It is certainly a life-changer in my case. Thank You!!!

Great place. Very professional and caring. They took a lot of time to explain my condition and how the medication would work. They also set me up with a counselor who is really good (and I've seen quite a few). Evening appointments are awesome! Helpful staff.

Please do not send your loved ones, or even those you dislike to this Advantage Metal Health. My son remains depressed and is still grieving the loss of his grandmother. Me living his Texas, researched Mental Health providers near Tampa. Not only was David Rude and dismissive to my son's emotional state, he blatantly lied. David tole me that my son was only seeking stimulants- finding this out of character for my son, I requested his presence during David's and my conversation, Conversation revealed us sharing with David the medications prescribed in the past (and was no longer working as evidenced by my son's admission for depression). I shared a list of previous medications, one which was for treatment of ADD (prescribed since elementary). Initially, David told me their office did not treat patients for ADD over the age of 25- later, he changed "Until after Evaluation". More appalling he stated, "I can give your son a list of a PILL MILLS. Lost for words, I reiterated, I merely wanted help for my son. My son left feeling hopeless and helpless- I hope your actions does not endanger ihs life or worsen his mental state. David i pray your rudeness, harsh tone, and carelessness for future patients changes.- Disappointed and worried Mother

I HIGHLY recommend Advantage Mental Health. Lisa is an incredible, knowledgable and empathetic NP who really cares about her clients and Nikki and John at the front desk are ALWAYS willing to help with anything I need (refills, referrals, issues with pharmacies). I sincerely thank them for all they have done (and will continue to do) for my mental health and well being.

I don't understand the bad reviews on here. The woman who works behind the desk was kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and scooted me straight through to the waiting room. I found her soothing and very pleasant. Even though I left a half an hour early, there was an accident and I ended up being nearly 15 minutes late. This was not an issue. I actually saw Lisa nearly 2 yrs ago, and came back, as she helped me with quitting smoking. I'm not going to get personal as to the reasons why I'm going to Advantage Health, but today Lisa helped me tremendously. The appointment left me hopeful and positive about my future. I'm looking forward to my next appointment and feel grateful to have Lisa and this facility.

I would like to express my gratitude for this health center specifically. They offer a well rounded approach to a healthy life style. I appreciate health centers that are able to "weed" out the drug seekers and concentrate on the individuals that really want to get help, get clean and contribute to the good of our society. Additionally, I would like to mention, even though they may not accept all insurance plans, they do provide billing statements for reimbursement, or possibly the individual (s) may need to choose to sacrifice financially in other areas to get the quality of care that is truly needed in which Advantage Mental Health Center provides.

It has been over a year since I have rated the clinic. Lisa Ramos-Archibold is a caring, through and the best listener I have ever gone too. I am not an easy patient and have issues with a lot of things I take or are afraid to take, she does not negate that. The people at the front desk are helpful and pleasant, Nikki, Susie and David. Would definitely recommend.

I had done TMS before in another state and this was a very different experience, with a mind, body, spirit approach. The nutrition information, FitBit, and CBT helped me cope with the changes going on in my life. I felt the dark fog of depression lifting and they helped me reacclimate myself into my new life with their weekly group therapy. I feel heard and valued as a person. I can't recommend Advantage more highly, they are a kind and professional operation.

I have been going here since June of 2016, after seeing a handful of doctors and prescribers who treated me like a file rather than a person. After a complete lack of empathy and understanding in this field, I set up an appointment with Lisa. It has changed my life, literally. Everyone that works here really does care. If you're not drug seeking, you will have no problems getting your prescriptions filled and refilled. There is really good communication through the office from reception to the doctors and therapists, and everyone works as a team. Lisa is very caring and will treat you like a human (not all prescribers act like this) and the staff at the front of the house is super nice and accommodating. They will even fill out your insurance forms if it applies. Danielle is awesome. I have seen several therapists, and she's the only one with whom I have made any progress. I highly recommend this place. I literally look forward to my sessions with Danielle.

My regular doctor had just retired and I needed an appointment ASAP. They actually saw me the same day. I was a little hesitant because of the immediate availability but they were very professional and took a lot of time with me. I’m so glad I found them. They showed true concern for my welfare!

The practices of this place should be illegal. They have the audacity to promote, and over-prescribe, suboxone as a long-term (possibly life-long) maintenance therapy which "prevents relapse". Ha! How can you relapse if you STAY addicted to a drug? I find it absolutely disgusting that they advocate for a drug that numbs people; reduces empathy and compassion; causes people to lie, cheat and steal to feed their addiction. And when I called to try to help my loved one, they told me we could come in for a therapy session together - yeah, so they can profit as much as possible. These "doctors" are just thug drug-dealers. They must pay their front office staff well, because they're pushing the agenda as well.

I just recently started going here... and I've got to say so far this place has gone above and beyond anything you normally would expect from a Dr's office. Great staff and great Dr's... usually from what I've seen that's a rare occurrence.

I think the fact that this business has zero reviews really speaks volumes about the enormous stigma surrounding mental health, and it's a real shame because I would recommend the professionals at Advantage Mental Health to anyone who needs help with anxiety, depression, addiction, or anything remotely related. I first came to this office in May 2015 in a very, very bad way. I don't think I need to explain further about the state of mind I was in. I saw Dr. Obregon and after taking my personal and medical history he provided me with a diagnosis and started me on medication, all the while reassuring me that what I was going through was highly treatable and that I would be ok. Shortly after I switched to Lisa Ramos because of her more flexible availability; she is a psychiatric nurse (who in my opinion is just as knowledgeable as the doctors) and she's fantastic. She truly cares about you, wants you to get well, and is 100% dedicated and determined to get you on the right track. It took some trial and error but I've been on a combination of medication for several months that has truly transformed my life thanks to her knowledge. I've also spoken to Dr. Hervey over the phone (very helpful and reassuring) as well as Carrie Lynn, a nurse on staff who can answer any medical questions if your doctor is unavailable. David and Nikki man the front desk and both are delightful. They always offer water and coffee and snacks and make you feel welcome and comfortable. I felt safe, heard, and valued with everyone I encountered in this office. They truly saved my life and I recommend them with my whole heart. If you're struggling, reach out and ask for help. It's out there, you just have to take the first step.
