I’ve been trying to get a prior authorization for a month now!!!! They can’t seem send over the right information that the insurance needs! This is ridiculous! I have to go through this every time I have to get a authorization.

I've been going here for over a year now and I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a doctor that actually cares. I personally see Dr. Cordero and can say unequivocally that she is the best doctor that I've ever had. Unlike most doctor's she actually takes the time to talk to you and will go above and beyond to help you with any issues you have whether they are medical or personal. She is the first Dr. I've had that actually remembers your name and cares about your well being. 5 star rating all day long.

I heard Dr Cordero opened her practice in Orange Park- I assume it's the same doctor. It's a shame if shes no longer with Ace Medical- in my personal opinion as the Medical Director and Physician anyone who knows her has to admit that even tho shes not a conventional type of doctor, and yes her style is very unique and different- that lady TRULY cares for her patients- she will throw her employees under the bus before a patient- IN A HEART BEAT- I've seen her travel to another county courthouse to help a patient retain their children due to the stigma on certain mental illnesses- WITHOUT GETTING PAID- I, in all of my 45 years of life, have yet to see another doctor do that. This doctor cares, and she goes above and beyond because her patients are truly her life. Thank you Doc! May God bless you!!!!!

This office has the most awesome staff! Especially Dr. Cordero! She has been so kind to me over the past 10 years. I don't know where I would be without her. There is frequently a wait, but she is worth it to me. She genuinely cares about her patients. She and her staff treat me like family. I really appreciate them.

This is the worst doctor's office I have ever been to. I've been a patient for a few years since I followed my old doctor to the Beach Blvd location. He was relocated within just a few months and I never saw him again. My first experience with this office was confronting them about an insulin shipment of mine that went missing. They denied everything, even though Novo Nordisk only does signature deliveries and it was forwarded to the office from my doctor's previous location. In my time with them they have lost insulin from three shipments. The first office manager promised to investigate the missing insulin and remedy the situation. I was contacted once and my additional messages were ignored until I walked in for samples because I was out of insulin -then my RN wrote a letter to Novo Nordisk stating my insulin was never received and to please ship again. The second time my shipment went missing, the staff turned up with just enough "samples" to replace my three-month shipment. The third time, the new office manager promised to either find my insulin or order samples to replace the missing supply. She told me she would contact me within one week and when she didn't, I reached out. I got no response and tried again after another week. I was going out of the country and needed to have a complete supply, but I couldn't get ahold of the office manager. I walked in and a MA gave me some vials. Upon returning from my trip, I was sick and although I called and called, I couldn't get a live person. I walked in with a mask to cover my cough and requested an asap appointment. They allowed me to be seen without an appointment after asking me to keep my distance to not infect the front desk (while wearing a fitted mask). I've cried in that office several times because the way they talk to you is just like a slap in the face. Fast forward to the present a couple months later: I am sick with a cough that I've had for a month. I saw a whole new doctor there, once again. He prescribed me a medication that is rare outside of a hospital setting, called it into the pharmacy although the medication was never discussed with me, and messed up the dosage instructions. He recommended several tests and had his MA send out the orders. I am a self-pay so there is absolutely no insurance delay, and yet two of the three orders never went out. I walked in to get the medication corrected and fax confirmations for the sent orders. They attempted to switch the medication to a tablet and still messed up with the dosing. I couldn't get any fax confirmations because nothing was ordered and they decided to schedule me for in-house labs and a PFT test at the end of the week. They gave me a written order for Quest Diagnostics to do a cytology sputum test and after going to Quest, discovered that they do not do such a test. I took my order to LabCorp and found out I should be fasting and the test was over the course of three days. My doctor's office should know whether to tell me to fast or not, and whether or not they are sending me to the correct place, but their ignorance is truly astounding. After all the hindrances, I got my sputum test out of the way. Publix was in communication with me while trying to get the medication and dosage clarified and after four days I asked them to cancel the medication and stop trying to fill it because they were wasting their resources. I went in to Ace for my labs and I wasn't on schedule. I was the first one to walk in the door at 9:10 am (because they opened late) and was there until 10:30, fasting and just waiting. The front desk lady didn't know what to charge me and there was apparently no one to draw my blood. I sat there while three people were called ahead of me and my glucose dropped. I left and upon returning for my PFT the next day, I was also not on the schedule, the machinery was not set up, and I was reminded that they sent an order to First Coast Cardiovascular for the same procedure (that order that was never sent out). So, I am looking for a new primary care or a hospital while I steadily get worse.

Be ready to wait 2 hours after your appointment time to be seen. If you get a prescription - CHECK it carefully, it took 3 tries to get it right. Staff lies to patients as to why DR is NOT IN THE BUILDING - If you've made it past the receptionist - get ready to be ignored. Stuck in a room and forgotten for an hour. NO ONE can do basic math - pill count is ALWAYS wrong. If you have another choice - TAKE IT. Here - you are not a patient with needs, you're just another number. They post a $25 fee notice for being late or no-show, but these guys DO NOT VALUE YOUR TIME. NOT a good experience.

Really great place, awesome treatment.

I dont know but some of these reviews seem to be alittle off from the truth. Staffing yes correct they are kind and patient with you. That's about the only good thing they have good hospitality. But are so very forgetful its actually dangerous. They have have forgotten to call me when they said they would to tell me when my blood works in. They have for forgotten to send my meds which till today they have not sent it. I have called left messages went there to remind them and still nothing. I have called to schedule appointments to show up and I'm not on there . The wait can tend to be longer then 2hrs. Doctors take personal calls in the middle of dealing with and yes non emergency personnel phone calls. Now staffing they are sweet but that sweetness dont help if they are constantly forgetting. Which like I said can be dangerous. If you can find another place do so. But if you cant stay on top of them. There's a lot more so much more I can say but. This maybe enough. It's time to fix this horrible healthcare system we have. People are dying and are not being diagnosed fast enough due to these situations. There must be a change!!!!!

How to be Random

Starting out seeing Dr Camacho several years ago and he left so I started seeing Ms Harris. I loved Ms Harris! She really took the time to find out what was going on and worked with you to help you feel better. Now, she's left and my husband and I are seeing Dr. Cordero. She is probably a good Dr but I think she's overloaded with patients. My husband went to his 330 appointment and sat until a lil after 5 when they finally asked him who he was there to see, he was then informed that she had gotten sick and left for the day. I called SEVERAL times for refills on his metformin and mood stabilizer but the voicemail they send you to is full, they left messages with the assistant, left messages up front, etc for 3 WEEKS before he was able to get them. After you FINALLY get to the back, my husband said she seems really caring and attentive. She told him she was sending him for several tests he needs badly (he's diabetic, 50 years of age, falls asleep unexpectedly) but the referrals haven't been done and it's close to a month later. I was scheduled an appointment with her and when brought to the back was informed she wasn't there that day! I needed refills so they scrambled to find someone who could write a prescription. It is now time for me to go back and I dred going. We've been patients here for a long time but think it may be time to move on.

Been a patient of Dr Cordero for 5 years. Has a high staff rotation, but the current front office & medical assistance staff is very friendly and efficient
