He almost killed me with his incompetence. Pushing the SSRIs and in increasing dosages. Went to another Dr and I was told Dorfman's continued use of SSRIs was wrong. New Dr fixed me up in days.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Dorfman for years and he’s honestly the best psychiatrist I’ve ever had. He truly listens to my concerns about certain medicines, and he helps me choose which ones would actually work better for me. I would recommend seeing Dr. Dorfman to anyone that’s seeking a psychiatrist. He’ll definitely help you get to a better place mentally.

Dr. Dorfman is the best. I usually see him monthly. He's been my Dr. Since 2002.... He has helped me get thru so many life changing things, all my ups & downs over the yrs! I can't thank him enough..... He's always had a way of helping me feel better about myself & I so many different situations I've been thru... Honestly, I really don't know how I would have gotten thru so many rough times in my life, if I had not had him as my Dr.... I've read some not so good reviews about him on here, I've never seen this man b the Dr. some reviews make him out to be! All I can say is Dr. Dorfman is a good Dr! There's not even a question at all, when it comes to what kinda Dr. That he is !!! He Def cares about his patients. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but honestly I wouldn't still b with this Dr. if he wasn't completely trustworthy. I have never had any problems or issues with him.... He probly knows me better then i know myself!!! He has def. built up my confidence, Just talking with him helps me to not panic as much about things like I used to.... I don't think there r too many Dr's that do actually go outta their way to help their patients like I've seen with Dr. Micheal Dorfman.... I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'D DO WITHOUT HIM AS MY DR??? I DON'T TRUST TO MANY PEOPLE AT ALL... HE HAS EARNED MY TRUST 10 TIMES OVER....

I met with Dr. Dorfman about three years ago now and I am still negatively effected by his rash and unprofessional manner. After completing his intake interview and speaking to him about my most intimate details of my life he turned on me, became angry with me and kicked me out his office for the behaviors of my almost two years old. As a nurse, I know there was a more professional way of managing this situation and Dr. Dorfman couldn't be bothered with finding it. As I left he told me that he was the best psychiatrist in Chester County. This is a gross overestimate! As a nurse who has worked with neurosurgical residents, I can tell you this is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. At my most vulnerable Dr. Dorfman could not find compassion or offer any hope and my wish is that you seriously consider your situation before meeting with him.

I have been seeing Dr. Dorfman for 8 years...and I can say that he has absolutely helped me change my life for the better. I initially met him at a crisis center where he volunteered his services & have followed him as he has evolved into his own personal practice. He actually cares about his patients, and has made me realize that I'm not alone in my struggles with mental health. He's caring,compassionate & I'm so grateful to have him as my doctor. A few others made negative comments about him...chances are those people weren't as invested in their mental health as much as he is...If you want a psychiatrist who is truly invested in his patients, Dr. Dorfman is the one for you.

I am trying to help other consumers with this post. Mr. Dorfman was very nasty to me and erroneously diagnosed me. He interpreted my religious beliefs as a psychotic delusion. He received a note written by a family member which said that I had stated that I am the "servant of God." He interpreted this comment as evidence of schizophrenia. In fact, I am a practicing Catholic and consider myself to be a servant of God. I retain this belief to this day. It is a very normal belief common to people of monotheistic faith, and it simply means that one strives for holiness on a daily basis and to do good for one's fellow man. Mr. Dorfman may be an atheist, but it was illegal for him to force me to take medication for my religious beliefs. I am very happy now and I have not taken any psychiatric drug for the past thirteen years.
