REVIEWS OF Psych Choices of the Delaware Valley IN Delaware

UPDATE: after trying to find contact info directly to the head doctors without avail I literally got a phone call from a blocked caller ID which was one of the owners ONLY after seeing THIS REVIEW. Asking me to take down my review. Although apologizing for my "experience" Pretty much blaming me. Also saying I should have contacted them first if there was a problem. I did that but the outcome is the same! The doctor already treated me the way she did. you cannot expect someone to take down an honest review of an experience they already had. And I find reviews helpful especially when finding the right doctor. She definitely was not for me. And apparently according to the owner I also bashed the previous doctor I had which clearly in my review I had not. I simply stated I thought It was no longer compatible like any other possible doctor/patient relationship. I saw a doctor there and she was pretty nice. After some time I realized because I had to bring my daughter with me, our doc and patient relationship may not be that compatible. So reading their website they employed a doctor who has a background in OB. So I figured it might b a better fit. Well no. I went my first visit just for patient med management. Dr. Tracy Collins drilled me as if I were a criminal. I know there needs to be background but she was questioning every thing that I was medically declared to have by a doctor at U of Penn. She came down on several things we talked about. My memory is bad enough I have kids, I cannot remember every single medication I've been on in the past. Then she questioned the fact of me being on time! I was there at 9:00. My appt was 9:30, toting my 2 year old in hand btw. She did not take me back until 9:50. Then questioned me on why I didn't know it was a 45 min evaluation. I was never told in the first place, I was under the impression it was just for medication management, not an over haul on what I was already coming there for. I had to pick up my other child from school so I just left because she was made me late. Maybe if she learned the so called "codes" they need to put in their system off the bat she wouldn't have wasted the first 5-10 min of our session. Oh and let's not forget her 5-10 min discussion about my son and why he's scared to go to bed in his own room. Not what I expected. At. All. Needless to say I'm going back to the university of Penn even if it's a hike for me. Convieince compared to quality. No brainier.

Beware! Have been trying for a week to schedule an appointment for a full week. The intake coordinator has been giving me the run around. "You'll get a call with in 3 days to schedule" no call. "You'll get a call today" no call again. If the office can't be trusted to follow through on a simple appointment request, how can the rest of the staff be trusted for care? I have never had such a difficult time with any other doctors office. Extremely disappointed and will report back to the insurance provider my expireance with this facility while I inquire about a different office.

Hayley Marshall

I would give it zero stars if I could, extremely disrespectful staff that kept me waiting over an hour for me to not even be seen.

This place is a nightmare. I went here about 7 or 8 years ago for anxiety. Scheduling was a nightmare. The psychiatrist over prescribed medication. He was extremely old. The therapist I had was not helpful with the issues of anxiety I had or any other issues. Generally she was not good at her job. She gave me paperwork to do for homework. My primary physician recommended me to a much better psychiatrist where I was titrated completely off of the medication Psych Choices increased. Also I was forwarded to an excellent therapist. Put your mental health first. You can find a much better place ask around and save yourself the frustration. You deserve excellent care. Not this judgemental biased practice. Honestly, if Psych Choices was such a caring practice they wouldn’t have such bad reviews All these apologies are damage control..

I saw Psychiatrist Dr. Tracy Collins and found her to be okay at first. However as time went on, she became rude and abrasive to my questions that were concerning to my health. Very unprofessional especially when Dr. Collins is a board certified physician. She has an attitude of "my way or the highway" and doesn't really go into detail of your issues to really figure out what the root problem is. Based on her questions and the way she diagnoses, it pretty much skims the surface. This can be very concerning since it can cause a misdiagnosis. I called around a plentiful of providers that accepted my insurance but this place was the only one that was available at the time and go figure. Patients beware!

Moriah Gornstein

The psychiatrist I have seen there have always been very direct with me and finally have helped me with theright medications. I have gotten great support and help from my therapist Nate Prentis and very accomodating. So thank you.

Jennifer Waterston

Really had a terrible experience here. The psychiatrist was very old and barely competent - prescribed meds that didn't work. My therapist was extremely judgemental. Look elsewhere.

Front desk is HORRIBLE. Very rude. Great therapists but horrible reception.

Michael Lando

I’ve found the staff (reception and doctor) to be: professional, courteous and most of all helpful. I’ve recommended this practice to others.

Evelyn Lee Barney

The people who created and run Psych Choices are truly kind, with a deep personal commitment to wellness.

Dr. Tracy Collins was who I saw. Very rude and unprofessional. I'm not even going to go into detail but I just needed to put this warning out for anyone considering spending their time and money to go and see her. Don't. You were warned.

I accommodated my sister during her scheduled visits with two psychiatrist who are on staff here. It was the worst experience that I have ever encountered at any Dr.'s office. They were bias, rude, had no compassion, talked and looked down towards my sister and most of all they misdiagnosed my sister illness. I requested several times for Dr. Freedman, to contact me regarding my concerns about my sister's misdiagnoses and treatment of care. Until this day, I have not spoke to him. I was taught that your doctors and lawyers should always have your best interest at heart.Their treatment has done nothing but caused my sister increased systems and legal/medical drastic issues. I would not recommend Psych Choices to anyone.. A Nightmare experience. 2/5/2016 I finally received a call back from Dr. Noah Freedman, only because of my review I posted, not because he was concerned about my sister's misdiagnoses and his staff treatment of care.....He Was Worst Then his Physicians on Staff!! Bias, No Compassion, Adhering to his staffs Unethical business practices. He even went as far as too talked down about his therapist on staff Dr. K. Glick . A Nightmare experience.Once again " A Nightmare that just won't End!!"

Valentina Raffaelli

I ended up choosing a different facility because the intake coordinator was so terribly frustrating to deal with.

Claudia Bereshnyi

I travel from Northeast Philadelphia for Dr. Freedman and will until he retires. He is a truly compassionate doctor who really listens. I highly recommend him.
