I’ve been seeing her for sometime now and each appointment I have just been giving her the benefit of the doubt. But today did it for me. From the very first appointment she has made me like I was her inferior and she was better than me. She has been nothing but rude to me for as long as I’ve seen her but like I said, I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I thought I needed a stern look from someone else’s point of view. I’m a fast talker, I always have been and I’m from the south. Every time I see her, she’s like “is this normal? Have you been having fast talking spells?” Like what on earth is that! This is how I am! Just because her and I were raised differently doesn’t mean my fast talking correlates to my mental state. She says I’m way too fast for her and that I need to slow down. Not to mention, I have been having a really hard time which I opened up about it today and she took advantage of that and preyed on me like the weak, like she got off on it somehow. She told me today that “my normal is not right normal”, that I’m really just this abnormal person to everybody. And then she questions as to how I’ve even been successful this far. Just because I don’t fit in what she thinks is medically defined as “normal”, that I’m just this awful person. I told her my what jobs I’ve had and she’s like “oh, well, I guess I could see that” but it was so fake. Just like she started to be after she realized she crossed a line. This woman is awful. I should have listened to my gut in the beginning. She’s got issues of her own. Not to mention, she stares at the computer for 75% of the time and you think it’s about you, but it’s not.

I dont often give reviews, however my experience with Terasa was a very negative one and hopefully this post will offer a warning to those seeking services from this practioner. During my initial appt and going over my mental health history i mentioned my struggles with presrcription opiods years ago. Her attitude shifted and i can tell she was become annoyed with me i guess because i am a "drug addict" . She then asked me the question had i ever been arrested? When i responded with "no", she looked at me kind of suprised and said "Like, never?". When i said again no then why? She responded "Because most people with a drug problem have had legal issues". I was floored. I left there in tears after she told me she didnt think i was a "good fit", referred me to Connections and charged me an additional $35. I would not recommend her services to anyone. It was a pretty horrifying experience to say the least.

Seemed like a nice doctor, BUT before I even finished my paperwork, she started to rush me through my evaluation, and wanted pay immediately. She denied me because of a condition that I was ultimately there for, which was the 2nd thing we talked about. I was there for 51minutes. Needless to say, she should have certain conditions that she will not treat placed in her paperwork, that everyone has to fill out. I feel like she made an easy $200, and turned away a patient, that was trying to get help. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Wondering how a "nurse practitioner" can have their own practice, treat, and prescribe, without a doctorate anyways.

If I could rate this practice a ZERO I would. Initially, I scheduled an appointment with this office because they claimed to accept my medical insurance and more so because Teresa is an African American woman. I thought it would be nice to have a black therapist see my daughter and me. I was mistaken! After the 2nd visit, my 10 year old daughter was terrified of Teresa and her office. Teresa's attitude is absolutely despicable! I suffer from anxiety and depression and every time I went to her office I ended up feeling more anxious and more depressed because she is the most unprofessional confrontational and abrasive medical "professional" I have ever encountered. I am a business woman. I have owned a business for almost 2 decades. I have never come into contact with a business owner as unprofessional as this woman. Her receptionist is rude. I had to literally coach her receptionist on how to even talk to me on the phone. I am a very pleasant person and very easy to get along with. I always try to treat people with respect. No matter how much I tried to cater to this woman and her obvious issues, she was still very unprofessional. After learning that her office did not accept my insurance, they cut me off. This woman did not even call in a prescription for my 10 year old. My 10 year old ran out of her federally controlled medication and had to experience days without the medication. As you can imagine, that is a very uncomfortable thing to experience. I can imagine that it must feel even worse for a 10 year old baby. Usually, I would not take the time to write a review like this. Especially, considering I love to see African American women prosper as I am too a business owner. However, her actions and the actions of her office are far too egregious to ignore. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE.

I can only speak for the one and only time I visited. NP Pittman was very direct and to the point which usually I think is great! However being a psychiatric NP and not even trying to take the time to get to know me or anything about me was a huge miss in my book. She asked about the meds I currently take and once finding out what I am on she pretty much dismissed me. She told me they were not meds she prescribes, which I would have fine with as long as I had an answer to help which we maybe could have worked out together. However she wanted an answer right then and there. She did not even give me time to think and ask what she could do to help me before she dismissed me. I will say that I am glad she offered a refund for the session that never ended up happening.

Initially it was a very beneficial experience. When it came time to pay for my services, it became a nightmare in a matter of a week...First, my account was mismanaged; I didn't hear about this account from the office for more than a year. When I got notification, I mailed a check the same day and spoke to the office manager about arrangements for the difference. I was paying without fail, then 2 months later was called by a Collections Agency. They told me they were informed by Pittman Behavior Health that I never made payments outside of the first and this account was about to impact my credit. All of this as I'm trying to build my new home. I settled the account the same day. Weeks later, I received another call from the Collection Agency stating I never made my October payment! I immediately found proof of all payments and made sure I emailed October's proof to the agency. I attempted to call the office; no response. When I called the person that was prescribing my meds in the past, I was disrespected for calling her phone number and the conversation ended abruptly due to her rude manner and unprofessionalism. I'm completely bother by her approach when all I was attempting to do was resolve the matter as quickly as possible. I would never recommend her to anyone! Overall, this was the worse professional experience to date for me.

My first visit with Dr Pittman was 5/2018..from the moment I sat down and she started talking to me ..I felt so good .I've been suffering from major depression since 2004 and I've seen lots of dr"s and nobody listened to me like Dr Pittman...she understood what om going through and i felt so positive when I left. She is caring and most of all she asks the right questions and listens! I love her wouldn't go anywhere else...I feel so much better and its just july12th..I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs a professional educated, listening understanding docter!!

If your looking for someone who doesn’t care and just wants to hand you a prescription-Here ya go! She will sit on her computer and act like she’s doing something then write you a script. If you tell her your allergic to that, she will tell you “try it again” WORST experience EVER. This lady should be investigated! Unprofessional X10
