These people do not care about mental health. If you miss three appointments, they discharge you. This is a fine way of treating an already underserved population.

Amazing, I love How I Feel When I Leave! It Is Worth It And No Need To Feel Embarrassed! Everyone Needs Help Sometimes! I Know That Going Has Changed My Life Because I Have A Peace That I Never Had Before!

2.5 of my stars are for my therapist. Been a patient here for a while. My therapist is great, probably perfect for me, but their processes need an overhaul. Making an appointment is probably the most stressful thing about the place. Getting ahold of them to make one discourages the act. Trying to get your own documents/files is like pulling teeth, because they aren't equipped to do things like scanning, faxing, or e-mailing even the most basic of documents (or so they say, but apply some pressure and magically they conjure a fax machine). If you owe them money, you'll never know. I was once submitted to collections for an appointment I apparently needed to pay extra on, when I had been there twice a week for months during the entire process. Not once during check-out did they tell me I owed this money, never received a letter from them, yet all of a sudden my credit is hurt and my phone is blowing up. From a psychiatric help standpoint, my therapist cares deeply and you can see she loves her work. But her notwithstanding, the place is expensive, unreliable, and just down-right pretty bad.

Office does not pick up phone, EVER. Even if you're a patient, you call and had to leave a msg... For an appt, to reschedule, to refill a Rx, or even if you have serious questions about your medications. They take several hours to call back. If you're Dr doesnt work that day, a nurse will not call back. If you miss their call, you have to call back and leave a msg and wait for them to call you again. It's very frustrating and very unprofessional

Melanie Bernstiel

Terrible polices and practices trying to schedule an appointment. Very disappointing and a complete waste of my time.

Therapist is nice, however, trying to get a hold of the office is the worst. They close the office randomely when its not busy so the staff can go home, leaving me to speak with an answering service. I got sick and had to reschedule a visit, called the office an hour before they "close" and got put through to answering service. It was a saturday and my app was that monday. They arent getting that message until the day of my appointment and thats disappointing. When you do reach somebody, 9 times out of 10 they are disinterested in what you're saying. You'd figure they're dealing with mental health patients so they'd be more compassionate. Their customer service skills are lacking and that's the worst when you genuinely need mental help.

My daughter and wife are patients at the practice and they have been great. The office staff are very pleasant and are sticklers for HIPPA guidelines. While this can sometimes be annoying, it does matter. The therapists are very friendly and knowledgeable. I have seen therapists who seem to want to only be there for a paycheck, but not in this office. They really care.

Evan Thomas

The therapists at this establishment do an excellent job and I have a lot of respect for them. However, the management of this establishment is cutting costs on continuing education, overtime pay, client cancelations, and paid time spent billing. I hope the management conduct a re-analysis of their cost cutting approach as it is hurting the therapists which affects the patients in due time

I’ve been taking my mother to Berkshire Psychiatric for many years. She is 85 years old and the Doctor here is compassionate, experienced, highly educated and truly cares about his clients. My mother is better then she has ever been and truly refuses to go anywhere else even though she is now a resident in a nursing home. Thank you Berkshire Psychiatric Assoc.

I have been a patient for a few years and just never felt any compassion at all from the doctors I saw. Always playing guess work on medication with no real resolve while I watch my money burn in copays for office visits with very little time spent to get to the root of my problems. Wasted money on guesswork on medications and not much info given on possible side effects and how they may affect my health and lifestyle. Callbacks normally around 24hrs and seems like months backlogged to get in there for appts. The worse part of it all is when I have expressed concerns over side effects I noticed and determined they were considered SEVERE risk and to consult physician immediately according to the medication labels and did not feel the Dr's cared much and shrugged it off. This is a big issue when some of these items could lead to permanent things such as kidney failure and death! Also suggesting different meds that they already took me off of due to allergic reaction, and simply did not know this for some reason? Some other issues were that the Dr asked me on how I would diagnose my issues and which way to point so she could prescribe properly. I think this is a joke considering I am not the DR and going there for help! After looking into this more since I was concerned, turns out the DR's I have been seeing are PA's with general RN background. Not actual Psychiatric specialists. This whole time, I may have been getting better service if someone once said, "Hey, I may not be fully qualified to diagnose you, let me check with someone with more experience". I called and asked for my records to try somewhere else. I called back in at a later point in the day and asked if my wife could pick up and they said sure. Didn't even ask my name or my wife's name to make sure they were following HIPA regulations what so ever. I had to ask them if they wanted to know who I was so they could notate my records and then they took my info without much interest. This place just has bad written all over it. If i knew a place to report them to, I would.
