Waited there today for almost four hours to be told to come back tomorrow. Absolutely pointless. To have to do it all over again tomorrow

I absolutely wish the workers at this place actually were helpful. I call and leave messages for the medical assistant and says she needs 24hours to call me back..which is fine but she does not call back. I get different answers from everyone when I call about the same thing. They just seem to not care about their patients.

this place legit was the worst experience of my life. i had a walk in intake in august and didnt see anyone till december they kept calling and cancelling everytime i saw a therapist i was almost never allowed to talk because they were too busy talking about their procedures. you are required to go to group therapy no matter what and it only lasts about 2-11 sessions and in group you are not allowed to talk go figure... thye make you sit there like a bunch of children doing activities that do not help in my case with anxiety and PTSD making tree cut outs will not help me in my life i obviously am there for the help and they did not provide i was in their care since august 2016 and left in april 2017 only seeing one person a month if that and one person every 2 weeks if they dont decide to cancel. also every time i did see a therapist it was always a new person every time i went in id have to re explain why im there making absolutely no progress and the same goes with the psychiatrists someone new each time. which means i was a guinea pig for meds because one person wasnt there long enough to help. i recommend you try thocc outpatient they are absolutely amazing and you will get treated the way you deserve

They need to hire more staff that are more understanding to student's need's and that don't bully or put hurtful judgment and comment's to student's just because of their political choice's I was a student here from september to the end of norvember my mom took me out because I reported this staff's hurtful and bulling comment's such as the "sport's team's are really hard to get on don't get your hope's up I don't think your good enough" well I got first overall every time for the girl's divstion on the track meat's not just on the wheeler's team for girl's overall the girl's divstion every track meet and i was a lap behind the boy who placed first overall on the last track meet the track and soccer team's here have very kind staff and student's and other's some other's after including my 2018 Jan one of this year I'll be posting pic's of the truth too I was great at soccer too here and here is one of my track award's from the girl's track meet I am doing a lot better in 5k road race's now tho but the point is I would come home to my mom's house all the time crying from this staff's hurtful comment's at school all the time all of the rest of the staff were very kind and nice expect one she was a teacher's helper staff and any staff or student's know's who I am talking about that knew's me at the time I was here before my mom took me out because of the bulling i got from this one staff she was very loud and very uncomfortable to be around very unprofessional and made me have high shaking anxiety I would have still been there until this end of june of 2018 when I am 21 because I turned 21 this month but that did not happen because of one staff she has told me I am stupid for not letting other's answer educational question's and I should not answer question's at all because she say's I am annoying I did great at doing a seasonal part time job at a costume store by myself a year later so maybe it was a good thing she was so mean to me so I could prove I no longer needed education after gradulating high school program's so thank's to that one staff who was so awful and mean to me I am doing a lot better in life I am also living in my own condo on my own with my cat in south windsor CT I guess you need a bully to inprove your life and prove them wrong I would have giving this 5 star's but because of how much this staff member was so hurtful to me I am giving only 1 star because non of the staff tried to stop her from her hurtful comment's they said nothing every time anyway I wrote this on april but I added my comment today on may 29th because i want everyone to know why I gave this school 1 star I want to finally feel heard at least on my review on facebook I am proud of who I am now because I inproved my life a lot from when I was 19 I scored the highest in my college class this fall without wheeler clinics help!

Stay away from these people if you are a working professional going thru a crisis. They left me hanging in the wind and did not follow up on my well being while I was in crisis. This place mainly deals with court ordered offenders, addicts, etc. Head to the Institute For Living in Hartford if you need assistance. They are a much better mental health organization than Wheeler. Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way.

More for children and, addicts, law offenders. They were nice just not for me. They did try and help but wasn't for me and too far of a drive too. Group therapy was really all they could offer me and it wasn't what I needed. Just wasn't the right fit for any of the group's I tried, because the patients were all trying to get their kids back, or something with the law. Most had to pee in cups and prove they weren't doing drugs to report to a case worker. Which means probably a good place for people struggling in those areas. But unfortunately I'm a PTSD and OCD case not drugs or law so not a good fit. I suggest elsewhere if you're not doing it for kids or legal reasons. And they were kind enough to suggest elsewhere after things doddid work out so 3 stars because they were nice, 2 lost because they're not very upfront with what they seem to actually specialise in and lack of individual therapy.

(Respit program) Amazing staff. Very helpful for kids/teens with family problems or environmental problems who just need a break. (It's a stepdown type of program wouldn't recommend for higher risk kids/teens with behavior problems.)

The Wheeler Clinic ruins lives. I was abused in the school, coerced to take drugs that made me drowsy, then thrown in detention for sleeping in class. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is inevitable for the students there. Without medicinal cannabis to reduce nightmares, they would be constant. Medical necessity isn't "abuse", and prehistoric medicinal herb definitely still prevents paranoia because it's still relaxing. The medical necessity has no "link to schizophrenia", that's a recent fabrication. The pharmaceutical industry is losing customers, and the drug pushers are desperate for an excuse to denigrate their competition. Medicinal cannabis is how I concentrate. No matter how many times the drug pushers scoff and grunt, they're still wrong. Medical necessity doesn't "impair concentration" or "cause depression", that's backwards. People who smoke herb are motivated, not "apathethic and lazy", the myth of "ammotivational syndrome" is backwards. Medicinal herb reduces depression without risk involved, whereas alleged "antidepressants" can backfire on anybody. Medical necessity is for everyone, not only adults. I survived my youth because of medicinal cannabis. All cannabis use is medicinal. Forget taxes and restrictions. Medical necessity is only medical necessity nowadays. I miss the high. Medicinal herb used to also be psychoactive. Now it's only medical necessity and only makes me feel sober and normal. If I took a tolerance break, I would get sicker than I've been in years. Medical necessity costs a lot of money because insurance won't cover it. $300 a year just to not be harassed about medical necessity. I'm denied employment because discrimination is the norm and authorities don't enforce laws against it. Disability money is my only money because employers threatened to call the cops when I politely asked for an application. I lost decades of my life because of psychiatry. Nobody deserves torture and I wouldn't wish that upon anybody.
