Dr. Weber and his TMS treatment have transformed me back to my old self. I feel better than I have in many years. My anxiety has lessened tremendously. I have energy and the confidence to tackle “impossible tasks” and take positive steps in my life. My loved ones see a huge difference in me, and they are grateful. You’d think that results like this could only come from invasive or unpleasant treatment, but TMS is the easiest thing ever. They place a magnet thingy against your scalp and every few seconds you feel a prickly sensation at the site. I enjoyed my treatments. I sat in a reclining chair for 20 minutes and chatted with my awesome technician, Ron, or played on my phone. It was relaxing. Also, I was always seen promptly and every employee I encountered was kind and helpful. Dr. Weber took the time to listen to me and answer my questions. He is a great doctor. Y’all, TMS has a higher success rate than all those medications with their awful side effects. I strongly recommend that you try it.

If she see the conversation going left she will stop you and redirect you guys and talk about something else. Then when she thinks we can talk about it again she will help us revisit the situation. I am extremely disappointed with Family Care Center, LLC. I've been dealing with this particular establishment since April of this year and have never been seen there. I was referred through the VA since I am retired active duty and was in need of therapy. My appointment was canceled the day of and would not have been rescheduled until another 3 weeks. Please keep in mind it already took some time just to get the referral through the VA so lets add 2-3 month wait time. I was then scheduled at their other clinic off Parkmoor and not for the services I actually needed. Spoke to that provider about it. She said she'd reach out and see what she could do and nothing on her end either. I've been extremely vocal about the services I was in need of. Attempted calling this clinic again 5-6 times now since July. I have not received a call back to be scheduled. I called and spoke to the same receptionist who canceled my first appointment who said she would call me back. She never called back. I waited a week to follow up. Called and left a voicemail. Even called back and picked the Veteran's option and left a voicemail. A gentleman called me back and told me I had picked the wrong department(intended) and that he would transfer me. Went to transfer then I'm told the receptionist is on the phone and to leave a message. I did that. Waited again. Still no call back. So I called again and left ANOTHER message. Called back and picked a different prompt and was immediately connected to someone. I explained that I was trying schedule and had been waiting on a call back for some time now. She did apologize and said she would get my message right over and that someone would give me a call. Well needless to say it's now 21 August and I have not heard anything and I have still not been seen for therapy. Its extremely unprofessional that you all are a mental health clinic here to provide a service to those in need and are unavailable. How is that even possible? I'm not sure who dropped the ball on this one but I've made it very clear to the VA that I REFUSE to be seen here and that our veterans deserve better care then this.

I have been going to this center for awhile now. Each time I have gone the receptionist Shelby Hernandez has been nothing short of down right nasty and rude for no reason. She has given me attitude when I've needed to reschedule my appointment, she has caused me to MISS HALF OF MY APPOINTMENT because she failed to notify my counselor Liz that I was there ON TIME, not to mention reception FAILING TO EVEN ANSWER THEIR PHONES FOR DAYS! Today she wanted me to verify my information but wanted to argue with me when I asked her to let me know what info she was referring to. The only reason why I go back here is because of my counselor Liz. I am a disabled veteran of the United States Air Force and I'm appalled, shocked and enraged that this center would hire someone who clearly thinks she is better than those who bravely come in for help for serving our country, and has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE FINESSE WHATSOEVER. I guess Shelby has her life on point so she must feel she can demean others. Reception is the face of the company, so whomever is in receptions seat should have the care, compassion and skill to deal with Veterans and others who are humbly coming for help. I'm sure other vets have come in contact with her and have decided not to go back to this center solely because of her sour attitude. This is a COUNSELING PLACE SO PEOPLE WHO VOLUNTARILY COME HERE SHOULD NOT BE MET WITH SOMEONE WHO SHOWS, ANNOYANCE, ATTITUDE AND RUDENESS ESPECIALLY TOWARDS DISABLED VETERANS. I wonder if Shelby had the gull to serve or is she just another person judging those from her throne? On Nov 27th, I called FCC to speak to someone about how to get my records for a VERY important upcoming appointment. I called the center EIGHT times and NO one picked up. So I tried a few other numbers I had because this is not the first time this has happened. I finally got ahold of terry Flower who told me that apparently the only way to get a call back is if you leave a message. Which I think is ridiculous. I explained to her what I needed and she informed me she could transfer me to Dee (sp). So I got transferred and left a message. I never got a call back so the next day, Nov 28th I called again. This time Dee answered the phone and informed her I had left a message on her vm yesterday and what it was regarding. She mumbled something about Colorado passed a law stating they did not have to release my records. To which I responded according to FOIA (FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT) I'm entitled to my records. She then informed me I'd have to speak to Carlos the manager. So I left a message on Carlos' vm on Nov 28th. It is now Dec 11th and I have not heard a peep from anyone at this office. I filled out the form online as they requested and still haven't even received confirmation they've even received nor have I received my records. So I ask you my fellow veterans, if you need your records for any reason especially for a comp and penn, is this something you'd like to deal with? I still have yet to speak to the gentleman who replied to my first part of my review. He never bothered to call me and he has access to my information. The only 2 people who have actually shown respect, care and kindness has been Devon and my counselor Liz. Honestly if it want for my counselor left a long time ago. This is absolutely NOT ACCEPTABLE! I Nichole M. am extremely tired of the negligence I continue to receive from this center. Veterans rely on counseling centers and this is the games they chose to play while getting money from our government. Us as veterans need to start complaining and standing up instead of walking away frustrated.

I have been seeing Ms. Liz Stallings, LPC, for about 18 months concerning my relationship and deteriorating marriage issues. She is a highly experienced and intelligent counselor who has helped me tremendously deal with, not just my marriage problems but with many of my VA issues and situations, disabilities etc. Ms. Stallings goes out of her way to take care of soldiers and understands what we have been through. Sometimes we just talk light subjects about life and I feel more relaxed and motivated leaving her office. Although I do get frustrated by the horrible communication between the secretaries and the therapists, namely because the corporate office is such a hassle and doesn't have time to help give the proper training to the clerks. I have been attending both branches of the Family Care Center for over a year and recieve steady talking therapy, 1 on 1 and family therapy. I absolutely loved Family Care Center. I have been using their services (therapy & psychiatry) for over a year. They have helped me tremendously in my mental health recovery journey... and I am still needing mental health assistance to continue with my recovery. However, just recently, I was told that my insurance was not active anymore by someone who I spoke with on the phone in billing. The woman I spoke with didn't seem to care at all about the issues I was facing. I am very upset, I asked if I could pay out of pocket to continue using their services was told that I couldn't. I am really at a loss because I have to start over and find new services, which is difficult because I formed a strong relationship with Family Care Center for well over a year and now I can't use their services anymore. I hate to leave a bad review, but just be aware, you won't be able to pay out of pocket and they will drop kick you to the curb, no matter how much progress you've made by using their services. I rely on medication and therapy to aid in my recovery and now I have nothing. This doesn't help my mental health period. I've put in so much time and self-dedication by using Family Care Center. I am very disappointed and upset over this. I battle Bipolar Disorder, and I have no idea what to do now. Family Care Center is the best mental health facility in Colorado, however the people in administration have no empathy.

After being in the military you're use to being kicked out within 20 minutes and given the same medication over and over with expectancy of a different result. Katy Searl actually listens and finds out what works for you and actually makes you feel better when you leave instead of feeling like you're running into a wall. The staff is also very friendly and work with your when running late. All in all this is one of my favorite offices since coming to Colorado springs. They also work with my daughter that doctors have given up on and just said she was too much for them to handle and she has been doing so much better since attending in school and all aspects of life. I love the therapists as well Laura is great with my daughter and I definitely have no complaints with mine I think this is a great office and would definitely recommend.

Edit: The NP and therapist I saw are no longer there. Therefore I would not recommend this place. I hear nothing but bad things anymore. I have a mixed review, but the worst of it stuck with me so my rating is of the horrible experience. Of the two members of the staff that I saw on a regular basis, I absolutely recommend them! I definitely recommend Ms. Stallings and Ms. Lahr. I saw these two for almost a year and never had a single issue. There were amazing, understanding, and extremely helpful. I feel like I made some outstanding progress until I filed a complaint against some information I found to be incorrect in my medical records. I saw a different NP while my normal provider was on maternity leave and she was horribly rude. I am unsure whether she is still at this location or even within this company. I had considered this something to file a complaint for. I don’t understand why you would want to be in the mental health field, if you are going to be rude to the people opening up to you. I just do not get it. After this, I requested my medical records to find some inconsistencies and information that was untrue. I had a doctor in my medical records stating that I saw him and had all this information about an appointment that I never attended on a Saturday. I have never seen this doctor in my life. I felt a little wronged with them adding random things to my medical records. It said that I was to return to see him again in 6 weeks. I brought this to the attention of DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies) and they opened a file to check things out. Well long story short, I was booted from the practice for reporting that information, because apparently this is something that they can do. I just want to warn anyone who goes there that you need to keep an eye on your own medical records and make sure everything is correct. You do have the right to file a complaint with DORA if you have an issue with a provider there, but be warned that they can discharge you from the practice for absolutely no reason other than opening a complaint. I found this very unethical. I would love to be able to go back to my previous providers, but unfortunately I no longer have that option. Please, whatever you do, just take charge of your medical care and dispute any issues that you have. That is your right.

I am very disappointed not only with the services, (from 2016) but the staff and fees. I will never recommend anyone to come here unless things have changed since I've been there. NOTE: This is not for the testing center but the actual counseling services. The testing center staff was very nice and helpful. RESPONSE: since I can't reply to your comment. I went under a different name for your services. The copays were not Tri-care related this was the office's standard $50 for missed appointment fee! I had missed an appointment due to a circumstance out of my control. I called in an hour before my appointment time. I tried to ask for the fee to be waived since it was my first missed appointment to no avail. Money was tight at the time and i know that it wasn't your fault I had missed an appointment. I can understand my other missed appointment fees which I paid.. But the point is that the counselor I had was not very helpful to my situation, I felt that it was more of reprimanding than helpful and I didn't feel any relief from my problem. I felt actually WORSE than before. Not saying she wasn't a good person but I definitely was not feeling accepted or listened to. I have already paid the debt. I had asked for help when I was told of the fees and they didn't offer any, Is there a reason you're able to offer grants now? Thank you for your response.

If I could give them no stars I would. I was going to have my son seen here and in the first meeting was told I needed my divorce decree to show that I had say over decision making abilities. No problem, dropped it off on Wednesday of this week for his appointment Friday (today). We go in today and pay our copay and was told they couldn't find it! HOW do you lose IMPORTANT paperwork in less than 2 days?! So the therapist comes out (after she called on my cell and I told her I dropped it off) brought us back and I told her AGAIN that I dropped it off Wednesday for her. Lo and behold she comes back and can't find it. We have to reschedule AGAIN and bring the decree in AGAIN for them to photo copy!! HOW many copies are they going to need and how many are going to end up floating around in their office that they can't find?! So they take my copay ALL to tell me, sorry come back NEXT week and bring your decree in again!! If they're THIS irresponsible with paperwork how are they going to be with my son and will they actually help him?! I've been told this is a great place to go but after my experience with their incompetence I'll take my son somewhere else!

Dr Kay was amazing. I came in b/c I struggled with postpartum depression after moving to Colorado with a 3 month old. We worked together every other week for about 3 months. In that time, Dr Kay gave me so many tools to learn how to cope with and handle my PPD. The magic happened when I applied those tools she gave me to my life. I'd recommend her to anyone. Have been going here for about a year now. I have seen Dr. Weber for TMS and Shannon Kelly for therapy. Shannon is such a wonderful therapist! I have loved going here. Everyone in the office is very nice and try to make your experience comfortable. Additionally, I would recommend TMS to anyone looking for alternative methods of treating depression. Dr. Weber was wonderful to work with and has always made time to address any concerns or questions. He also checked in throughout my treatments which made me, as a patient, feel comfortable!

I cannot say enough good things about this facility. when my daughter needed a mental health care provider we were referred to this place by a friend after a bad experience w/ a different doctor. After our first visit, I knew we had hit the jackpot. Chelsey Lahr was such a caring professional who helped manage her medications. Chelsey recommended a therapist for my daughter, Shannon Kelly. She was amazing! I feel like this team approach was so helpful. This facility also has a Brainsway machine (TMS therapy), for patients that don't respond to medication. My daughter was able to do a round of this treatment, which has changed her life. I'm so grateful for this clinic, all the services they offer, and all the professionals who work there. Truly top notch!

I have been going to this clinic almost a year now. Starting with the receptionists, they are wonderful. Friendly, kind and understanding. Sometimes I forget my appointments and they take the time to work with me. I see Kelli for therapy and she has been a big part of my journey to recovery. I wouldn't want to see anyone else but her. I see Dr. Weber for psychiatry and he is awesome. He has a lot of experience, he keeps things real and cares a lot about his patients. I love this clinic and feel blessed that I was referred to them. Until now, I have never left a 1 Star review. We’re all human and have our bad days. In over a year, below is what I have experienced with the Family Care Center. I am glad others have found success here, but the care I have received has been terrible. I have called and complained and no action has been taken. It’s easy to dismiss the complaints of someone that struggles with their mental health as dramatic or irrational. I have seen 2 other psychiatrists and been stable for years. —my assigned practitioner made a comment that the Subaru I drive is a good model because no one would “mistake me for a lesbian” —I was told me the drug I was prescribed for years wasn’t a good fit because it would “make me fat” —I was prescribed the wrong med. I have had success with Wellbutrin XL 150 mg for years. It is a 24 hr dose. I instead was prescribed Wellbutrin SR 200 mg which is intended as a 12 hr dose. I brought both my records and the prescription bottles from my last provider to the appointment. I had to call three times for the error to be corrected. I never received a call back, Amber simply called the pharmacy. I am a military wife and the pharmacy on base doesn’t call you to let you know a prescription has been called in—in addition the med was on backorder indefinitely. When I complained I was told the med shouldn’t have “made that much of a difference” and did not receive an apology. It took me 3 months to finally receive the correct medication. —I was told my stability made me a “boring patient” —The practitioner told Amber to take my vitals as soon as she got off of the phone. I watched for 20 minutes while she made several additional phone calls. I eventually walked out as I was on my lunch break for my appointment. Her lack of professionalism is truly astounding. —my husband travels often for his work. He often is the one to pick up my meds because of my work hours. I realized my husband’s next assigned trip would overlap with when my meds would run out. I called the office and was directed to Ambers voicemail. I left a voicemail explaining the situation. 2 days later, I called back and reached Amber. I started to explain the situation when she cut me off and asked which pharmacy she should send my meds to. She didn’t ask my name or what meds. She clearly had listened to my voicemail and chosen not to call back. So here’s the deal. Rather than complain about a business online I would normally just go elsewhere. However —Adequate care for mental health is life or death. Prescribing the wrong medication is a huge deal. The lack of urgency in filling a prescribed med is equally dangerous. Again, I am so glad other patients have had success here. I feel obligated to share what I have experienced as it could greatly impact the life of someone struggling. To the owner—I highly encourage formally evaluating your staff. I will say that every interaction I have had with your receptionists has been lovely. They have been incredibly patient when I have literally cried complaining about my experience here and shown empathy. They deserve a raise. Additionally, some of the review responses on this profile walk the line for HIPPA compliance

There are no words for the changes that have been made in my life through care at The Family Care center. When the VA drops its disabled vets or just seems to forget us, The Family Care Center did not. They took me in, helped me refocus on my strengths and through grant money helped me pay for the visit, when the VA choice program did not. Katie Seral is a diamond shining brightly in gods sky, Amber could not be more accommodating and the new receptionist is always willing to take time to answer my questions and if she does not know the answer she will find out. One time had a clerk who was reasonably professional. Another time, no clerk & just a sign in tiny print saying sit, wait, and call someone else for copays.

My daughter C. Sousa has been seeing Ryan Morris for 2 years. Ryan saved her life & she is now back on her feet. He is an incredible person/provider. He takes the time to make a connection with her every visit. Which has been difficult for her because she has social anxiety. I have only positive things to say about Ryan & FCC is blessed to have him on their team. We are new to FCC & love the staff. The hardest part though was having to wait 72 hours to get the initial appointment. It was frustrating to always have to leave a message & to wait 72 hours for a return call. And if you miss that call, its another 72 hours. I hope that process will be changed. That being said, once we got a call they were able to get us in to see Ryan within a week which was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend FCC.

Crowded and a bit cold. Felt completely out of place as a military veteran. Not wild that they are part of the Veterans Choice Program. Just because they put a sign outside the door doesn't make it a comfortable or competent place to treat Veterans. Good luck getting ahold of anybody there. Also I did not consent to recieve text messages (via a consent form) and the next day I did. May not be that big of a deal, but it does show a lack of attention to detail in regards to paperwork. I may just stick to the long waits at the VA.

Seeing both of those two beautiful ladies and their smiles when you first walk in makes you immediately makes you feel comfortable. It reminds me of Cheers, where everyone knows your name. Barb and Chelsea listen to your concerns without passing judgment and their primary concern is getting you better with the least amount of meds. Iya is such a sweetheart and will do her best to put people at ease. Dr. Weber has some of the corniest jokes I ever heard, but he is a funny guy who would do everything in his power to help you. Our family is blessed to have had these people working with us.

They have a policy stating that if a patient cancels an appointment with less than 24hr notice, the patient is charged a fee but, if they cancel your appointment with less than 24hr there is no penalty for them. I personally had my appointment canceled by their office with less than 24hr notice.
