Eileen Spangler hurts people. She shames patients instead of helping them. If you are in any depressed or low state, find someone else. She will only make you feel worse. A mean person.

I have been going to Eileen for the past couple of years and have found her to be an excellent Nurse Psychiatrist. She is direct in her communication, straight forward, and truly cares about my health and wellbeing. She takes the time to understand how my medications are working, and discusses my options with me. I would definitely recommend her.

If not for Eileen's help with my medications I do not know where I would be today. She helped me leave behind addictive medications that were actually making my symptoms worse. Her professionalism is beyond reproach and I would recommend her to friends and family without question.

I would give this nut a 0 if I could. What I witnessed her do to my wife on an inital interview makes my blood boil. She sent us the wrong appointment time not once but twice , the second time we were in our chair and then told to leave she made a mistake come back in a week. Finally there and she lit in on my sweet wife who has ALWAYS been a good patient, always trying hard and always as advised by her Dr. This woman saw she had been on xanax previously for several years. My wife is extremely proud to have gotten off of them 4 yrs ago , cold turkey. This NP got a smirk on her face and said", I'll bet you may have some laying around right?" She absolutely was accusatory in every way. Asking us "why" we would move to Colorado??? We told her we wanted to see the west(from NC). I am a recently retired teacher. My wife has copd and we thought the dry climate would help also. Ms Spangler blurted out "Oh you didn't move here for copd because of the altitude!!??" Trying to insinuate my wife was a liar.( if you google best place to live in US for copd it says CanonCity,Co so she is an idiot) She kept telling my wife to STOP I cant get the words in the box fast enough! After15 minutes my wife was in tears. All she wanted was her normal meds that were not any controlled substances. I told my precious wife to get up you are not going to be abused like this. This lady is a nervous wreck ,all over the place and she has the power to REALLY MESS UP GOOD PEOPLE WHO ARE VULNERABLE AND NEED HER HELP! GO ELSWHERE! CHECK THE REVIEWS ALL OVER NOT JUST HER WEBSITE!!

I have been seeing Ms. Spangler for a couple of years now and she's changed my life. I feel like I have gotten my life back. It took awhile to get my meds adjusted to where I needed them to be, but I have been at such a good place for about a year now (including a struggle with PPD) and could not have gotten to this place without her. She is extremely knowledgeable and will listen to her patient's needs and concerns instead of just throwing medications at them. People must also remember that the patient has a responsiblity to do their part in changing their own lives and must play an active role in the process. I would recommend to anyone!

I very rarely give negative reviews, but this lady is a piece of work. She shamed my daughter for being suicidal and said she wasn't trying hard enough to get better-- and this was after two visits. She was sarcastic and patronizing. If you have a loved one who is vulnerable please save them some grief a (and maybe a life!) somewhere else.

I appreciate Ms. Spangler so much. She was able to get me off my medication that was doing damage to my kidneys after years of use. I am more stable now than ever on my new medication. I pray for her health and well being and hope that she does not retire any time soon! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a good psychiatric NP!

Eileen Spangler let a loved one walk out of her office in tears and feeling judged and not listened to. She was condescending and just plain rude. I do not recommend her to help anybody!

Made an appointment and faxed over the new patient paperwork and when we got to the appointment early the door was locked and lights were off with no one in the building. We stood outside for about 20 minutes and missed school/work for the appointment with no communication nor any clue what was going on.

My recent experience with this provider was extremely positive. I found Ms. Spangler to be very intelligent, caring, competent, and helpful. I was accommodated with an appointment very quickly, which is almost impossible. She is prudent with her prescriptions and definitely takes a "lets get to the point" approach, which I appreciated more than I can explain because my time is important too. Her demeanor might seem, to some, somewhat clinical but that is exactly what I was seeking. As in any evaluation, honing in on factors accrued throughout an entire lifetime in 60 minutes has got to be difficult, but this provider was by far the best I've worked with in doing so! I had a strategy in place and felt better within hours of my appointment. If you want warm fuzzies, talk to a counselor or join a support group. If you want thorough, thoughtful, caring, and effective solutions, I would highly recommend this provider.

Ms Spangler radiates extreme care, compassion, and precise knowledge in her practice and who she works with. Ms Spangler is diligent in creating an adequate treatment plan for sustained relief and healing. She does not just dole out drugs as do many other doctors. I really appreciate that Ms Spangler clearly states on her website, on her forms, and email communication that she does not prescribe addictive drugs, klonopin, and/or xanex. My experience with Ms Spangler is that she seeks to prescribe for her client’s best wellbeing rather than filling her pocket book. If you are wanting to see a doctor to support your emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing Eileen Spangler is an exceptional prescriber and mental health healer.

My my self and another family member were both seeing her for very different symptoms. We were both given the exact same medications. Neither of us saw any improvement. All she would do is up the dose of one of the medications (that were not helping in the first place), and reschedule for two weeks out. This happened repeatedly, with no improvement. I now just see my PCP, and am feeling much better.I was hoping she was more of an expert in her field given the name she gave her self.

Eileen is extremely knowledgeable and the thing I love most is that she doesn't push medication. If she can find a way to help you without it, she does. And if you absolutely need medication, she is very thorough and really makes sure she is giving you medication that will help you, not make you worse. This is HUGE because we still need to function in our everyday lives, we can't be sitting here like zombies. She is very easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable. This type of practice is a rough business to be in, but she makes the exception. She really listens to you and because of that she is able to help you truly get back to yourself. I honestly don't understand why she doesn't have higher reviews because she truly is an amazing psychiatrist, who is just exceptionally good at her profession. I will always recommend her to anyone seeking these services. She has already helped me to feel better and get on the road back to myself, I will be forever grateful to her for this. I believe people like her are angels sent here from God because we all need a little help sometimes and she is a great woman for the job! If you need a psychiatrist, I would highly recommend Eileen Spangler!

I’ve been seeing Eileen for about 3 years with excellent results. She genuinely cares about my mental health, takes time to listen to my concerns, she has worked very closely with me to get the right prescriptions at the right doses to improve my mental health, and she has always been very encouraging. She also referred me to a great trauma therapist. I am very happy with her care, and I would highly recommend her!

My entire family has been coming to see Eileen for years and we highly recommend her. She is very thorough and tells you what you need to know. It may not always be what you WANT to hear, but she has her patients best interests at heart...always. She is highly trained with decades of relevant experiece. i was surprised to see a couple of negative reviews, but based on the comments, they may not be familiar with the concept of "tough love". You can not pull the wool over her eyes, which is an excellent quality for someone in her field. I have reffered several friends to Eileen over the years and she has always taken great care of them.
