When I had a mental health care issue I needed help for, this was the only psychiatric practice near me taking patients in the next 3 months. I called EVERYWHERE, and no one else could fit me in the schedule or deal with my specific issue.Savantcare scheduled me within one month and worked hard to get me seen sooner than that upon request. I am so grateful for them being able to see me so promptly. My psychiatrist is an excellent fit. She is well-versed in recent developments in the field, and is able to discuss her recommendations in a way I understand. She also makes sure that she and I are making decisions together. I am comfortable with my treatment plan and feel able to raise concerns if I have any.we problem solve together. The support staff are beyond excellent at returning phone calls, emails, etc and taking care of any urgent issues IMMEDIATELY. I would highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Alison Mehta has changed the way I perceive mental health. She found me the right mix of medications over the past few months and I can say I am doing much better today. I think everyone has at least some personal emotional issues at some point in their lives. Depression is a common one and it's the one I struggle with every single day, since I was a kid. It is so important to find help before things get bad. You may think you can handle things on your own, but you can only be so strong for so long...until you break. At one point, I had gone through over a year of trial and error medications, changing the dosage; I felt like a guinea pig. One of the only things that makes you feel somewhat better during that emotionally draining process is how the doctors treat you, as a person. Savant Care makes things easier; scheduling appointments is a breeze. I appreciate all of their support and kind words I have received over the past few months and have a good feeling about this part of my journey to a healthier me. As many of you know, finding a mental health clinic and schedule an appointment is very difficult. The service is fine but the site is god awful. I frequently experience trouble logging in and viewing messages, the navigation is clunky and unintuitive, and when I try to access help desk services customer service rep I'm assigned is quick to close my case, pretty much deciding for me when they want to close the issue, even when I have more questions. Savantcare, you need a better web designer. Fire your current one they're doing a terrible job.

My wife was actually seeing the doctors here, she had a really good experience with the care provided. This review is regarding the billing practices and refund policies. We changed insurance mid year and my wife did not know the exact dates. I personally reached out to Scott in billing and he was able to refile the claim to the new insurance company in time. Also the refund was quickly processed but added to internal credit. Reached out to Scott again to get a check in the mail, but he suggested a wire transfer which was quicker and better than receiving a check in the mail. Quick resolution and great customer service, exceeded my expectations. Thanks Scott.

I have been very happy with the care I have received at Savant Care in the last two months. Dr. Burwell is excellent. I had my reservations before my first visit after I learned he is a very young doctor who was just starting out. But all that changed and I was very impressed with his personality and approach towards patient care. Seeing a psychiatrist was the last thing my parents ever wanted me to do. But I'm glad I went ahead and did to change how I look at things in my life. I can tell I have changed as an individual. I talk better, I sleep better, I eat better and I socialize way better than I used to. A special note of thanks to my doctor's admin assistants who work tirelessly to ensure timely responses to any requests. I have nothing bad to say about the actual doctors, but the administrative side of this organization is absolutely the worse mental health organization I have ever worked with. This was a terrible experience with absolutely no compassion of the types of individuals they are service. The focused on making sure that their money generating revenue plans were the first priority, not helping the vulnerable people they are supposed to be helping. There was little compassion for what their clients may be going through and how difficult this process is for them. This is run as a corporate organization where patients are simply revenue.

I live in Torrance and was trying to locate a Psychiatrist that was close to where I live .I contacted SavantCare and I believe God was watching over me. I couldn't have had a more pleasant experience! BG in the intake department was beyond helpful and took the time to answer all of my questions and help me through the process. He contacted my insurance to verify if I was covered and he called me back within minutes that my insurance would cover at 100% . Really hard to get ahold of them. Sent them an email requesting to set up a first appointment because I have moderate hearing loss and cannot communicate via phone very well. They responded by sending me a link to view the messages. Here's where my issue begins. In order to view those links you have to make a Help Desk account to view them, why they wont just email me back directly I have no clue. Fine, I made an account and tried viewing their messages except this time I got blocked by Google Two factor authentication (I've tried resolving this by using different devices). I brought this issue up to them via email and THEY SENT ANOTHER MESSAGE THRU THE FREAKING LINK. Dude, I just want some help. You guys are stressing me out even more. Im taking my business elsewhere.

Seeking help from Savant Care was by far the WORST& most heart breaking experience I have ever been put through in the world of psychiatric care. I am quite confused by some of the quality ratings provided, seeing that the care (or lack thereof) sent my way was unbelievably awful...therefore I have decided to publicly speak up about how poorly I was treated, in the hopes that some of you out there considering this practice may be informed of the disaster that waits ahead. I was a patient of a certain Dr. S at Savant Care for about the past 2 months. While the Doctor himself seemed to have a somewhat engaged plan in helping me find the right medication for my illness, he was ultimately unreachable. While Dr. S made no attempt to stay personally available, my inability to reach him AT ALL was mainly due to his office staff. His staff consisted of his assistant “A” (by far the hardest to work with) as well as two other men “S” and “SS”. From the very beginning of my experience as a patient here at Savant Care, I was met with unnecessary difficulties. Here they are for you: 1:The meds that Dr. S had prescribed were not at the pharmacy due to a lack of follow through in actually sending the rx..this took about 5phone calls made on MY end to fix. 2:Savant Care doubles up psychiatrists& therapists; both professions coexist together. This combination is part if what sparked my interest in Savant Care! I was in need of a therapist,& therefore upon my first meeting with Dr. S, I requested to be paired with one of the companies therapists. I was told that I would be paired with one& then contacted; weeks passed& a therapist was not found for me. I continued to ask the Dr. for this arrangement to no avail. 3:Due to the fact that I was working through an uneasy medication switch with Dr. S, I had about 3 extreme deppressive episodes during my 2 months as a Savant Care patient. I was(understandably) at a time of great vulnerability& instability. Each time, I made phone calls to Savant Care in attempts to reach the doctor for medicine advice..each time I was met with either voicemail, or spoke with “A” and his team only to NOT HEAR BACK from them at all. 4:As a result of my deteriorating stability at this point, I needed to request a leave of absence from my place of work due to my disabling depression& anxiety attacks. When I called in to “A”& his team to request that a Dr. Note be sent to me through email (a fairly simple task) it took 2 whole weeks. I can not even count the number of times that I had to call attempting to recieve that note..the excuses for these delays ranged from “A is out early for the day” “A is not at his desk” “A is out on medical leave”...”S” and “SS” were both at work despite A’s absence,& still they did nothing. This was later blamed on the fact that someone was “being trained”. When at last I was able to reach “A” after he was sick for a number of days, the note was sent in 10 minutes. After all of this hassle, it was really that easy. 5: I was in need of a doctor’s note a second time due to having received the initial one too late. For obvious reasons, I was already dreading going through unecessary obstacles again. I was exhausted &hurt by the lack of care that I had been receiving. After having called over to “A”, I was told that Dr. S was away for the week, but that another Doctor would “absolutely” be able to send a note over that day..10 PM came around& I had yet to hear a single thing from anyone. I reached out to “A” on his personal number& was told that the doctor was unable to sign me a note according to legal restrictions. I asked “A” why it was that no one had contacted me in order to at least inform me of this obstacle; I was met with no response. There was simply no reason. After my unfortunate time as a patient at Savant Care, I am ultimately worse off than before. I am still experiencing my initial problems, and I am saddened. Savant Care hurts those with mental health instead of helping them. They are negligent and uncaring. Find yourself a practice that will care for your well-being.

This review is regarding the intake process I had with BG, a very patient and polite man. We went through some health insurance questions and where I would like to see my Psychiatrist (he has a couple locations) based on the proximity from my home. Then, a couple of texts back and forth, and a signature on the website and I was approved for an appointment in TWO days! Very easy and to the point, as it should be! I haven't been seen by the Doctor yet but that will be a separate review, if needed. But, as far as the intake process goes, BG gets 5 stars!!!

***Update 5/8/2018: I won a judgment in court against Savant Care for negligent infliction of emotional distress. Yes, this psychiatric practice CAUSED me emotional distress. Avoid at all costs!*** Beware! This psychiatric practice talks a good game, but is more interested in its bottom line than in helping patients. After a bad experience with Savant Care I gave them a negative but accurate Yelp review and they had a lawyer threaten to sue me. Can you imagine a psychiatric practice that threatens former patients? That's Savant Care, a D- rated business with the Better Business Bureau. Regarding Savant Care's below response, perhaps if they didn't engage in unconscionable conduct they wouldn't have to worry about defending themselves. It's hard to defend the indefensible. A psychiatric practice having a lawyer send threatening letters filled with baseless charges and misstatements of fact to bully former patients into removing honest and accurate reviews is indefensible. It's interesting that they've lately discovered patients have privacy rights under HIPAA (though they didn't get the acronym right) after it was pointed out on Yelp to them by another dissatisfied patient. Given Savant's willingness to engage in unscrupulous tactics to advance their business, I would not trust many of their positive reviews as genuine.

BG listened to my concerns and truly empathized with my situation. He went above and beyond to make sure I found a doctor who was local and met my needs. He is valuable member of the Savant Care team and should be recognized! Still have not seen Dr. Keeling yet, but if she is anything like her staff then the experience will be excellent.
