After suffering for months not sleeping and being in a manic state, Dr Dimitriu was recommended to me and after a wait for an appointment I went with eyes wide open. Caring staff took care of me getting my meds squared away and getting me on track with when best to take them and what meds I shouldn't be taking. Within a few days I was sleeping an additional hour per night until I was sleeping 9 hours per night. I also found out I had sleep apnea that I dealt with. The attention I received from all staff proved caring and my needs were always put first. Dr Dimitriu and Lauren Varma are tops in their profession and I'm glad they are a part of my treatment plan.

I have been seeing Dr. Dimitriu for a few months now. He is a great Dr, He is understanding to your needs. He listens and works with you and your needs. I was in a bad mental state when I first saw him and he worked with me and medications and I now feel 100% better. I have had sleep issues for over 20 years. I've tried CPAPs, oral appliances, medication, meditation, cognitive therapy and nothing helped. When I went to see Alex I was incredibly frustrated and exhausted. Alex is different from other doctors. He actually listens and works WITH you to come up with solutions. Unlike other doctors, he never blamed me and I felt like he was my partner (albeit a much smarter partner) at all times. I now sleep 7 or 8 hours every night. He's also a warm person, easy to talk to, no big ego and has a great sense of humor.

I came to California seeking medical help for an unknown, undiagnosed disease that I've been dealing with for 12+ years. My doctors at home had essentially given up on me and left me to fend for myself. There was no more empathy, no more concern. If they couldn't see it, it didn't exist. I will not get into details but I've lost 50 lbs. and a whole host of other daily problems. It was/is not a pleasant host of symptoms I deal with to put it mildly. I had the FORTUNE to meet with Dr. Dimitriu earlier this week. The first thing that struck me was his extreme compassion, concern and how he immediately made me feel at ease. He LISTENED to me and my story; it seemed that he took it almost personally and he immediately went to work on my behalf. Within 1 hour, Dr. Dimitriu had accomplished more than my doctors at home had in the last few years. He had a completely different perspective and, as such, was able to get to the root of the matter very quickly. Not only did he make some wonderful AND very helpful recommendations, but he also called a colleague whom he thought could help as well and he was able to get us in the next day!!! I am so incredibly fortunate to have had the pleasure to see Dr. Dimitriu and I cannot thank him enough. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Dimitriu to anyone as I believe there are few Drs in his field like him. His compassion, intelligence and willing to do whatever it takes...you just cannot ask for a better Dr than that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Dimitriu. You've given me hope where none existed; you've renewed my faith that this CAN be solved and treated. Weeks later, as I sit back and look back on my ridiculous FORTUNE...I am feeling SO MUCH BETTER and he has played such an extremely large role in that. Dr. Dimitriu is a highly certified Psychiatrist and Sleep Medicine doctor. He's the only doctor who resolved my insomnia, depression and anxiety. He knew exactly what medications to put me on and they worked brilliantly. I've never been happier with any other doctor. Dr. Dimitriu is a wonderful listener. He's very caring and makes me feel proud of the progress I've made since I've been seeing him. I highly recommend Dr. Dimitriu. He ROCKS!
