I waited two months to see a therapist, only to have them call in sick the morning of my appointment. They rescheduled me with someone else who happened to be available, and it went horribly. I'm now waiting again.

Minus 1 star. Kaiser is unable to adequately help their members with Mental Health Care issues. They allow you to see a therapist once every TWO MONTHS for a 40 minute session. If by phone the session is 30 minutes. I have not felt valued or my needs addressed, pushing me further into a depressed state. Depression is not “pull yourself out of it”. It is a biological disorder, as is diabetes. YouTube, Stanford’s Professor Sapolsky discussion on Depression in the United States. Your Kaiser psychiatrist, is only allowed to prescribe drugs, not offer advice. My current psychiatrist, is understanding, but can only talk meds and rush me out. A previous psychiatrist, I had was simply rude- unable to relate, imo because of culture differences. There are group classes to attend to learn coping skills.... but there is nothing in-depth to help their members. They are not even able you to outside resources. Patients are treated indifferent. Where is the humanity? It is a sad.

I had a very good experience receiving mental health services at the Roseville Psychiatry facility. The doctor who helped me was patient, helped me to explore the depression and anxiety that I was experiencing due to my life experiences at the time, and was able to give me methods to cope, while providing a go-forward plan on how to improve my mental well-being. No meds, just a plan with regular check-ups to see if I was following up on the plan we came up with together. Very helpful during a trying time in my life.

30min on hold to be put on hold again. Not happy. Nothing on file about referral to make the appointment. Ridicules!!!!!!!! This is why I say Kaiser is just like hospice !! Very under staffed I guess? Very Sad... and omg the message over over and over!!!! Then different information from different people about how to get an appointment. Bad training? Still days latter no appointment. 11 days and counting. Guess thier saving money.........

I myself have had nothing but good vibes and experiences from the staff here and I really feel thankful to have this whole place as a resource.

What a waste of time and money. The initial visit is to assess and come up with a plan. The therapist was precocious, judgey and completely unhelpful and the "Plan" was nothing more than having me fill out paperwork and take a drug test. i have nothing to show for $140 I spent in co pays... I feel like I got robbed.

Poor management. After completing pages of paperwork I'd previously filled out at Kaiser Santa Clara, they me (and others) wait hours in their lobby to see someone who "evaluates" you. Ironically, Kaiser already has my history in their files. As there were so many others ahead of me, I gave up after two hours. Their suggestion: come again at another less busy time. This department needs new protocols and new management.

Spent almost a year here, now we're $1,000 in debt. I'm trying to untangle my mental mess and my psychologist was terrible. He did so little to help or understand. My state is pretty severe but he just referred me to the group mindfulness stuff (costs extra btw). Went to the college psychologist once and I was feeling better. Not cured of course, but way better than my first time here.

My brother completed suicide 11/19/16, which was devastating. My mom ultimately completed suicide as well, 2 months later. Which was not only extremely devastating but hard to process. Couple months later, I worked up the courage to make an appointment to talk to a councilor at this facility. I went in for my first appointment, (first appointment you have to talk to someone who decides if you can see a councilor) told her what had happened. The lady asked me if I feel like hurting myself and I told her NO, I'm just depressed. She asked me if I want medication I told her I didn't, I just wanted to talk to someone. She said at this time I'm unable to see a councilor and to come back if I feel like hurting myself. I don't want to discourage anyone from seeking help, but this was my experience.

Longest wait of my life. Rude staff.

The psychiatry people in Roseville give terrible service and they are crazy.

Ranon Cox

Appointments only given to those with meticulously detailed plans to commit suicide, and SOON. Anything less is not sympathized with here. Super pushy about group programs. Cost-cutting measures everywhere and you can feel it. You're probably better off reading a pamphlet.

Office open till 5:30pm, went in at 5pm to pick up papers from the will call...security said they were closed. I pointed out they are still open, he told me that if I need to talk to someone it's not him and that they, "musta left early cause it's Friday ya know?".

Nirra Radding

They are extremely rude, they had me go to 3 appointments to randoms, when i requested an appointment with a psychiatrist, and made me wait hours for all the appointments. The people that work here are frauds that just waste time and they do not actually provide healthcare, would be nice to get all my co-pays back for pointless appointments and hours of my time waisted. This looks like a scam to get multiple co-pay fees. The therapists and staff are unethical in there treatment of patients, the place is a disgrace to the medical field.

Kim Montgomery

I find the process to obtain a counselor or cognitive therapy through Kaiser a bit cumbersome. It feels like boarding a SWA flight kind of a cattle call. I lost my husband early 2017; went in late 2017 to see a therapist, only to find out you have to wait to talk to a psychiatrist first for approval for therapy. They offer depression meds; you explain why you need therapy and then wait 2 weeks to see if your referral is approved. I received a letter finally providing approval and a few suggestions fro their list. If you really need mental health treatment go to the ER this is not the place for it.

Jayden Bullock

the "therapist" Paula was very biased in serious matters

Clare Hamlin

The people implied for a suicidal patient to attempt suicide in order to get diagnosed for a mental health disorder.

Nancy Hansen

The psychiatrist prescribed a medication that had lethal drug interactions with my migraine medication. When I calmly explained this, he started yelling at me. One therapist called me with the wrong file information and asked me about a medication I do not take. Interns are hired at $38 per hour to run classes. Your car can be fixed if you get a bad mechanic, your mind may not.
