Very effective care delivered in a compassionate and efficient manner by a great group of professionals. The SPECT scan was instrumental in the diagnoses process. It helped me better understand the symptoms and helped us target the treatments. I am 9 months into the recovery process, I take the brain supplements fault and confident I will have a full recovery.

Horrible experience. Save your money. They don't care about helping you get better. They want to sell you vitamins so you can spend even more money than the $4,600 they charge. My last review was deleted. I think they've got a lot of pull (maybe they spend a lot on advertising). I don't know how long this review will stay up. But save yourself.

Overall I was very happy with the care I received. The people were genuine and caring but also knew their field well and provided me with helpful accurate information. My one complaint is that there was a miscommunication regarding one of my appointments. I was scheduled for a web test at the clinic but it was also emailed to me to do at home. I did it at home then arrived at the clinic to find that I had already done it and didn't need to be there for that appointment. I live about two hours away and had risen early to make it there in time for my appointment so I was frustrated that I now had to kill time till my next appointment that day. All that said I felt the care I receive was worth the extra hassle and would recommend the clinic to anyone looking for psychological help.

With family discounts, my entire family is now interested in the unbelievable structure and cutting-age technology they use to heal the brain. Amazing!!! Such a wonderful experience from the moment you walk in the door. My son was nervous about the IV and they were able to place a lidocaine cream on one hour before his appointment. He did not even feel the IV placement! They were able to not only identify his issues, but they were able to give me direction, and so much hope that things will be better!! I am more optimistic than ever!! My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner!!! If you are on the fence....GO!!!!!

My husband was experiencing an onset of memory loss and anxiety attacks. This was so foreign to his identity. A neurologist diagnosed MCI... Mild Cognitive Impairment. He said there was nothing we could do but come back every 7 months and he would see if there was any more progression happening! We got to Dr Amen’s Clinic and found a much more thorough examination. The blood test gave meaningful answers. The questionaires and interviews were evaluated in detail. The 2 Spect scans made sense of all he was experiencing. Although the diagnosis was sobering it gave us hope with a proven protocol when caught early. We are coachsble. We are all in. We are impressed with the staff and ongoing “coaching” the clinic is giving to help us achieve success. The staff is very professional and at the same time, very invested relationally. We are thankful for the proactive work of research the Amen Clinic has pioneered and continues to do!

My experience with the Atlanta Amen Clinic was very welcoming. My reason to get tested was for inner concerns that I needed to get a serious diagnosis and interpretation of my brain health. I don't want to just take medication to fix any brain issues that i may have. I wanted to get a thorough assessment of my current position and get a road map to better brain fitness. Was hoping for so much more! I was dealing with insomnia and the nurse practitioner recommended a typical anti-depressant without any genetic testing. I would think the Amen Clinic would be cutting-edge and know that a simple genetic test would have recommended something more beneficial. Instead, Physician Assistant Cherri recommended a drug that most probably made my symptoms worse. It wasn't until I went to another doctor who recommended a genetic test and then the best genetic solution that worked for me (Remeron which I only needed for 2 months and have since weaned off of). I also didn't feel like she was very compassionate, not the best bedside manner which I think is critical when someone is going through a tough time as the result of a major life/career change and needs the best solution. If you're going through insomnia, be sure to get a genetic test by Mynd Analytics in Laguna Hills or similar genetic company to ensure what your doc recommends will actually work for you.

Leap Forward

I took my daughter here because I was desperate to find help for her depression and anxiety. This place do not help at all! They charged you around $3600 for a scan and have you meet the Dr twice. Dr. Tucker was my daughter's Dr. He have no intention of helping. He was polite. He explains to us regarding the scan. Recommend vitamins and prescription drug and that was it. Just like that. I bought the vitamins for around $300 worth. She took it about 3 months and everything is the same. Also, at our first visit, one of the assistant would take us to a room and want us to put a good review for them. She would ask me how I thought about everything. I didn't want to be mean or impolite, so I said it's was nice. And she would ask me if I ca give them a 5 stars. All these happen a year ago. And I am still regret that i paid that much for a worthless result.

Clinic staff was efficient & welcoming. Office was well organized; waiting room was open, well lit, and comfortable. Appointment schedule was managed well with minimal waiting time. Staff presented themselves competently & professionally. All staff members very helpful, patient, and empathetic, as well as highly proficient at their individual responsibilities. Dr. Bennett was personable, respectful, and very thorough; as he said early in our consultation, his goal is to treat the whole person. After reviewing all results, he created a plan to help correct/enhance our brain to enable it to function at an optimal level. There is a lot of new information to absorb. The follow up calls are truly a blessing. Cannot wait to get started!

Dr. Love (Farrell) is a wonderful, caring doctor who has seen us through many ups and downs of a medical condition, and continues to investigate (and try) new approaches in treatment.

Lots of hype, lots of money spent, no noticeable benefit. Having a child with autism spectrum disorder, my wife and I were, and are, happy to spend a considerable amount of money for anything that might benefit him and brighten his future potential. The Amen Clinic, unfortunately, is not the place. Save your money. There must be truly honest and helpful organizations out there somewhere. I should also add that I am a physician in active practice in internal medicine and my wife is a registered nurse in active employment as a labor and delivery nurse.

Save your money because that is their only interest at this location. Beware of Care Credit as well! It was a detriment to my Mental Health and now I have a $3000 bill to pay. Dealing with mental health I expected so much more care and concern for your patient's but that is not the case. I have tried for months now to resolve this nightmare with a hopeless outcome. Care Credit was even worse. This makes me think twice about Dr. Amen as well. What a shame having so much hope that they will make a difference and fall flat. I didn't need a let down, I needed a hand up.

For the price and money I paid out of pocket... I would say it’s really unorganized and difficult to reach the doctors when you need to ask questions. The assistants also aren’t helpful. I’m a bit disappointed. Also, They don’t tell you clearly what goes on. I had two doctors. One in the Atlanta clinic and another in another state. I wish they were more clear about explaining things after the brain scans are done . Also, I was sent the wrong result by a doctor I don’t even know? Later on they sent me the correct scan. I wanted to love this place. I appreciate their holistic approach though.

Caution. Read the other one star ratings that all appear to describe insurance issues. Be aware of billing details that could be omitted. Be sure to check your insurance before you make your first appointment! There is a discrepancy between what is said by Amen regarding usual and customary practices of insurance companies, how Amen will help you to get reimbursed and what the reality is with regards to what insurance actually has authorization to cover, and their refusal for reimbursement for any portion of the $5000 for treatment including the evaluation. Because one loves their child and want answers, being told the out of network procedures are "insurance reimbursable" is tempting to rely upon. Do your due diligence! It's a lot of money to spend out-of-pocket and no "help" that Amen promises will undo the policy if your insurance doesn't cover these non traditional treatments. We have excellent, comprehensive insurance. If stewardship of your finances remain a priority be careful. No "fine print" should ever be used as an excuse after the fact by an organization to justify their behavior, especially in the healthcare industry.
