I have called 4 for times to get my referral going and I keep being told I have to come in on a walk in basis. I have no idea how to go about doing this because I keep getting put on hold or transferred to the wrong department.

When I first began working here, I was always telling my friends how fortunate I was and how I loved my job. Over the years and with the hiring of one particular CEO, who seemed not to care about anyone except himself, the place seemed to fall apart. So many little things that made us feel good about ourselves as employees seem to be taken away The therapists began to say "I wish I could just do therapy instead of having to do more and more paperwork." I understand the current CEO is trying to make things better. I would like to see the place return to the way it was when I was hired and when David Williams was CEO.

This place has several extremely ignorant therapists. Susan Peter is one of the worst. Steer clear of her. She has no concept of professionalism. She lets her emotions bias her judgement.

You will go through so many therapist, you forget their names. They seem to not understand how draining it is to explain your trama all over again to someone new every month. The doctor's line has no one on it ready to answer. You leave a voicemail and hope you get contacted back. You can't schedule your appointments ahead. They give you a card with a date on it and tell you to call and schedule at that time, whether you are going there constantly or not. If you have medical information for work, they will ask you to come in and then charge you for THEM ASKING YOU to come in. Not because you requested. It is very well know amongst other doctors and places that Ozark Guidance is not very organized or communicative. My paperwork was nothing but a bunch of unnecessary text. Like they are trying to make it seem like they did more than what they did. Save yourself time and headache and go to somewhere that will take care of you.

This place needs help if you ask me. The lady I talked to was rude. I am up all night with my sweet bedbound husband and just want a late appointment as I sleep most of day. I was told, I needed a drs.refferal and did. Had to cancel and they resheduled only to benefit them and told did I understand that if I cancel again I couldnt make any more appointments. I couldnt sleep dreading it , because of the time and cancelled. I feel it should be shut down. People, that are mentally ill dont need another problem and thats all they are. They are suppose to be there for mentally ill people which are alot these days and they could care less and this is so sad for people, that need mental health. There needs to be other choices that treat people right . Choices, that people can afford. No wonder the world is like it is. May GOD bless all out there that need help. Ozark guidance is no help.

Sorry this is so harsh, but I’m really upset and after visiting this place like three times it’s not getting any better. So, I made an appointment for today specifically because I have a court date tomorrow that I’m nervous about. I’ve been diagnosed with BPD, social anxiety disorder, and chronic depression. As a result, I’m on a “do not call, only text” list. I make/confirm my appointments through text or in person. My therapist knew my situation and knew I had a court date tomorrow. She called in, which I guess I understand if you’re sick, but they called on the phone me to tell me that my appointment was cancelled, and I didn’t answer. (Ya know, because I’ve requested not to be called, and they text me for everything else. Besides they called at 8:30am which was like 3 hours heads up, and I was asleep) So I show up, and the lady is really rude “we tried to call you but you don’t have a voicemail, you should have answered.” And I tried to explain that I don’t answer random calls (especially since I’m supposed to get texts instead of calls) but she would not listen. She was very unhelpful and couldn’t find any replacements and tried to book me for another appointment a month out. (Lmao yeah right) Also I’ve been going here for three months but they won’t set me up with an actual psychiatrist (no matter how much I ask??) who can give me medication. I’ve taken prozac and buspar before (which helped a lot) but I ended up quitting cold turkey when I became homeless as a teen just after my mother’s death. It’s been almost four years and I finally have the willpower (and financial stability) to get help. However, this therapist tells me I “just need to relax” and to “color or take a bubble bath.” If I could relax I would. Like literally I’m anxious all the time. Even when I’m just chilling at home alone. It’s getting out of hand. Besides I didn’t know bubble baths cured borderline personality disorder and crippling paranoia. (For the record I take a lot of bubble baths and I’ve seen no change in my mental stability). She also says I don’t need medication, and I just need to find a hobby, trouble is I don’t like doing anything. At all. Maybe because of the depression? I don’t know. THATS WHY I TRIED TO GO TO A THERAPIST. I only get one day out of the month to come in and I’m paying out of pocket. I’d like for someone to just listen and understand and not act like I’m exaggerating. I’ve been dealing with that from people my whole life and I just want one person to listen. Even if I have to pay them. I’m sure I’m not the worst off person they see, but come on. What if I was a suicide risk and she told me the same things? That I don’t need medication and that I just need to relax, or that it’s “not that bad.” That just seems really unprofessional. I seriously never want to go back. I always feel like an idiot afterward anyway.

Was planning to come try to see them again but obviously they just getting worse and worse not worth wasting my time there are no good therapists these days so sick of this crap

They are rude.. and aren't willing to be flexible or understanding. Why do you have to go to a walk in when you first start? I mean your suppose to be there for people who need you but won't set an appt. Wow.. how are you guys not out of business yet?

Tammy Netherton

If it wasn't for OGC, I would be dead. They are the kindest people and I have the BEST therapist. Ask for Brandy or someone else if you don't like your therapist. Walk ins are the only way they can process and diagnose. They answer the phone everytime I call. When I was suicidal, my therapist and I worked out a safe plan for me. It helped so much. I am also BPD, PTSD and bipolar. This was a bad place to go 20+ yrs ago but they have made it so much better. If you call less than 24 hrs to cancel an appt, you cannot do it more than once in 90 days. Those last min cancelations really mess things up for them. Medicaid has something to do with that too. I've been going there (this time) for a yr now and I am very pleased on how they treat me and my 21 yr old daughter. I wouldn't go anywhere else if there was another option. Also, if you are dumb enough to drink and drive, you deserve no compassion.

Holli Ross

This has been the best experience with a psychologist and psychiatrist experience ever! A lot has changed in the clinic. The receptionist are excellent and respectful. The financial professional is the best. The main thing that wraps it up is there are finally full time steady doctors to work with you. I recommend this to be your first stop before Springwoods. They really care about you.

Was looking for help for my son. Having problems with anxiety due to pass drug addiction. Been thought rehab and is having hard time coping with everyday life events. These reviews don’t look good. I was really hoping to find him some help.

Lesli Sherwin

They told me I was a liar about my brothers problems and now he is in prison because there really is no mental health care in Northwest Arkansas. If you are a violent offender of any kind the health care facilities here just send you to jail even if you are only 11 years old. Any mental health professional reading this will know I am telling the truth. If you want help for a loved one or yourself move to another state and/or a bigger city because that is the only place that has better care.

dEAN sIMS

Excellent staff. I have found them to be the most patient and competent professionals to help solve all of our issues. Thank you so much.

Hayden Hill

Worst. Expierence. Ever. Before I could even get into a class they make you pay $150 and delay those classes (I wish this was a joke) 4 months and don’t tell you once you leave that you actually take that in Fayetteville :) so I rescheduled with a place to get me in quicker. When telling them i had switched facilities I had asked for the $150 that i had paid them for the classes that i won’t be taking there and they said they would NOT give me my money back. Ruthless and selfish system that is made to help others but they take advantage and use it for their wallets. I would give this place no stars if I could.

Esperanza Laguna

They are not very good answering their phones and when they do , they redirect you back and forth from person to person like no one wants to help you. So , since phoning them was a hassle I went to the building and they were rude and racist. I left feeling stupid and belittled and I was in tears. Will not come back and do not recommend this place at all. Especially if you’re of color.

Rainie Shelby

I've been going here for a while, a regular you could say, and they started a brand new policy this September. I wanted to move my appointment but they dropped me from the list because I canceled twice in the last 3 months? I cancelled July 26th. Just completely unprofessional. Screw you Ozark guidance. They dont care about anything but money.

Harmon Ferrell

The staff here are horrible. They do not have compassion for the clients which you would think they would show while dealing with clients that are dealing with issues. Very disappointing

Makayla Dungan

I’ve made an appointment twice, just to come in each time and they tell me nothing has been made??? Just sucks.

Jack Parker

I was told to be there at 7:30, but given no other information. I had no idea where to go, and no one was answering the phones. Staff was rude and unprofessional over the phone. I'm looking elsewhere.

Lucinda Summerlin

Ozark Guidance does such great work in our community and in our schools. Mental Health is so important and Ozark Guidance is there for so many who need their services. The staff and doctors are wonderful. And the environment is professional and nurturing. Thank you OG!

Place is a joke. Went there as a teen, and all they do is dope you up and call it good. They're also the only place I know of that holds the over priced DWI classes. There DWI dept is always too busy out hustling people out of their money, to a actually do the classes. This stupid class is the only thing keeping me from getting my DL back. I've did my 6 months with the interlock, listened to the MADD sob stories, and now all I need is this stupid class to get it back, and they can't even answer the phone. Either hire more people, or hand over the responsibility to someone that can provide the classes.
