Arrived at 11:30 pm was NEVER seen was told 1 doc seeing patients left at 5 am...asthmatic,upper respiratory infection, My hometown gave better service than I got!!! If I could give this place a -star I would! Bathrooms filthy,no toilet paper, garbage cans overflowing...sad case for a hospital!!

had a recent visit to the ER. the first person I spoke to was the warm and friendly receptionist. next was the cold nurse or whatever she was who asked why I was thr n took my vitals. very rude and made me feel unwelcome. the room I was taken to was disgusting. dried blood on the side of the bed, stains on the chairs, dried gooey droplets on the floor. the nurse left my urine container standing for almost an hour before she finally took it, and hardly checked up on me. I would never want to come here ever again.

i called and put a hold for a very long time and still wasn't helped. I need to get my login information to view bills online and no one could help me. They gave me a number to call but the person that answer said they couldn't help me either! UGH. I just needed my log in info, i don't understand what's hard about finding information for your patients.

It saved my mom from polio , cancer, cholera and breast cancer. They are my lifesavers!

THOROUGHLY incompetent! My 82-year-old dad is lying on one of your straw-filled mattresses waiting for an ultrasound. He's been there since 6 pm. No care being given here. Your ultrasound tech gets off at 6 pm. Probably about the same time you roll up the sidewalks in Chickendale. There's no good reason why the man should still be lying in bed waiting for an ultrasound. There's a real hospital in Fayetteville (where he should have been sent). Your people are RUDE and unresponsive. Time for you hillbillies to stop playing scenes from "Grey's Anatomy" and close up shop before you kill someone again.

My husband went to ER with chest pain and almost passing out. They immediately got him back to the big trauma ER room. As they were getting him set up on the monitor it showed his pulse rate around 220 (He was in AFib), they immediately had other nurses and the ER doc in the room. They worked together as an amazing team to push the meds in the IV quickly, hanging other IV's, pulling blood, etc. They got him fairly stable within an hour, except for his low bp, they continued working on him to get him completely stable. We came in at 7:30 PM and when they could move him to a room, one wasn't available. They accommodated me by bringing an actual hospital bed so I could stay with him. The next day it looked like they wouldn't be able to get a room again so they moved us to a smaller ER room with both beds in it. They ended up getting him a room around 9 that evening though. The staff top to bottom were excellent! The Dr. later told me that he was scared too, that they almost lost him, and he really cared. The nurses all were fantastic. We got to the point that we joked around with them, and got and gave hugs when they moved him out. Also his food was very good. I can't say as much about the cafeteria for evenings, but breakfast and lunch were fine. This wasn't our first rodeo, and I must say every single time we hit the ER with chest pains, they are fabulous. He has also had heart caths, and that team is excellent as well. In the 3 or 4 years we have been coming here we have had only an occasional Dr. or Nurse that were not personable. Seriously if you have chest pains, this is the place to go!

Couldn't talk to my friend, staff very lazy

Emergency room personnel were awesome—especially 5 stars since it was the weekend!

THE STAFF DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN GETTING A CHECK. Rude, hateful, and LAZY are the words I would use to describe the staff. Imagine a tire shop where they took your car, banged on the flat tire with a hammer, and brought your car back to you with the same flat and said you owed them money. That's how this ER operates. If there were ANY oversight to this place these butchers would be closed down. It's a money grab, nothing else. I was sent home from the ER with NO TREATMENT, still suffering in pain. I was vomiting stomach bile in the waiting room waiting for my ride. I tried to talk to a doctor. There didn't seem top be one there. The ER is beyond awful here. The hospital was painful. There was seemingly little to no communication between the nurses/doctors, so don't expect things to go smoothly. I also wouldn't expect speedy reaction, even to alarms on the machines you're hooked up to. I noticed it took them aprox. 30-45 minutes to do ANYTHING (I heard a nurse say other patients were waiting for pain meds for over 45 minutes, so it's not just me). Like other reviewers have said, the nurses will mistreat you if you need ANY assistance. You go to the hospital because you need to. At this point I'd rather take my chances with WebMD than have these vultures picking pennies out of my pockets for not doing their jobs.

I had my gastric bypass done at the NW Medical Center in Springdale in Jan 2016 with Dr. Kwon of Roller Weight Loss and I can truly say that this was THE best hospital and doctor experience I have ever had in my entire life, and that is saying something. The nurses on the post surgery floor were phenomenal, the hospital was immaculate, with floors so shiny they looked like glass, and the attention to detail and patient satisfaction was second to none. I live in Fort Smith, AR and now drive all the way to Springdale, AR just so I can have my hospital medical needs taken care of at this hospital. Far superior to Sparks or Mercy. I still see my family physician in Fort Smith, but my hospital, from now on, is definitely NW Medical Center in Springdale.

I was sent here to be seen for my workers comp injury. Doctor Byron Garibaldi was short and wasn't too nice. He didn't fill out my workers comp paperwork. He said he doesn't deal with workers comp. I had to go to MedExpress the same day to get my paperwork filled out while in pain. Wasting my time. 3 months later, I got a bill in the mail from South Arkansas Emergency Physician LLP. They failed to bill it to workers comp. Can't recommend their ER department, go to MedExpress if you can.

Very poor service. This place has very low staff matinence for the patients. My uncle had gotten in a motorcycle wreck and had a minor head injury with the skull, no brain damage or any vital rupture at all. He also had broken his leg and needed some time in the hospital. All he needed were some stapeles in his skull and one surgery on his leg. I would come over to visit him and I would have to be the one taking care of his mouth. He would be on a med where his brain wasn't functioning right and he couldn't take care of himself and needed a nurse to take care of him...I would go to his room everyday to flush the mucas out of his lungs and mouth. I had to brush his teeth and raise his pillow. I would walk in that room and ask him if the nurse had come in his room yet and he said "only to change my urine bag and get me lunch meds" I was ticked off at this point. It just so happens the night that my son got sick and I had to take care of him that my uncle dies. It seems as if without any of my matenince that he was put to a rest. That just so shows that this hospital does not provide the proper care for their patients. There is still no explanation as to how he died. With the condition he was in, he shouldn't have died.I am giving this review out so that other's loved ones will not be lost, and that they should go find another hospital. Sure it is close to home and stuff but what's more important here, The drive...or your loved ones life on the line??? It breaks my heart that I'm writing this review but someone has to, brings me to tears every time I have to think of this...

Mark Churchill

It was a average hospital with an above average staff. We all hate being in the hospital and they tend to suck by the nature of the beast. I spent 5 days in the ICU. The communication both with and among the staff was the best I could have hoped for, it is for this reason primarily that I it 5 stars. Kudos NWMC Staff!

I have a friend who had open heart surgery at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale about 18 months ago. During the surgery, they removed a vein from her left leg by drilling a hole in her knee and another in her ankle. They closed the hole in the knee with stitches and the one in the ankle with a surgical staple. Many weeks later, her leg was in excruciating pain and was swelling so she went to the ER. They removed the bandages and then she saw the staple for the first time. She was never told the staple was there (or could be there before the surgery). She is highly allergic (or hypersensitive) to staples. Though it was removed, over time she has developed gangrene from that single staple. It is so bad that her primary care physician is now recommending amputation. The wound care center is recommending the same thing. She went to the ER again on Monday the 25th hoping maybe they would keep her a day and pump her full of antibiotics. She was released only three hours later with no antibiotics and was told her primary care physician would take care of her. Her situation is now so severe, that she cannot eat well because her gangrene smells so bad. Her medicare/medicaid is drained to the point where she is no longer able to get the supplies she needs to keep her wounds clean. I have sent two emails to Northwest Medical Center asking them to take a special interest in their patient so that she will not have to lose her leg. There are no responses. I will try to post pics of her leg here. If you feel moved by this story, please contact me some way and you can sign an on line petition with just a click asking the hospital to take care of my friend. Thank you for reading. (If the hospital decides to take her in and heal her FREE of charge, I will remove this review.) UPDATE: So Northwest Medical Center never helped her. Dr. Petrino at the Wound Care Center did nothing to help her and he happened to be the Dr at the ER when she went again because her pain was so bad. He sent her home within the hour with nothing. On April 12 she decided to try Washington Regional Hospital instead. The ER there was surprised at the tests Dr Petrino had failed to do. Unfortunately, they removed her leg on April 20. This is certainly something that could have been avoided.

Breanna Jusola-Macko

The staff overall are very rude, they have no patience and no time for anyone. I've never had good service at this hospital and try to avoid it at all costs.

You have a choice in NWA to go to Mercy in Rogers or Washington Regional in Fayetteville and use that right! The ambulance will take you to your choice, your life may very well depend on it. With that being said I will finish the rest of my life trying to stop what this place does to so many innocent victims for years! It cannot be legal, I know it’s immature, dangerous, and down right wrong to be in the business of saving lives and be so careless, rude, uncompassionate, and no regard to human lives all the time. Just because you get one good person that shines way beyond the rest does not make this facility great but, God bless those who are trying though. With that being said these folks at the Springdale hospital might want to humble themselves and realize that there will be a judgment day and God will not play games with them as they do to others.

Nurses are incompetent, genuine lack of care .. This is by far the worst hospital I have ever been in

ALWAYS an excellent experience.

My friend went into the hospital with low blood sugar (diabetic type 1) and they admitted him at night. No breakfast given next day, no insulin in entire hospital (someone had to go out and buy some), medication box they opened had expired, yes EXPIRED meds at a hospital. Promised he would get lunch... wasn't given lunch. Wanted to keep him another day for observation...no thank you!

Andrew Easter

So i don't take kindly to staff( i don't know who, they weren't in the room.) Making fun of me... "Aww did the turkey hurt your poor little finger" ago because i work at butterball and came in with a paper from butterball stating they know im going here for a non work related accident for pain and discomfort.

Had surgery on my hand and they just made it worse I hate this place

Father there for heart attack. Took over 5mins for a response to a call light. Doctor gave a time for a heart catheter and then kept pushing it back causing him to have to stay over night. Been there for three days and has had 3 meals. Out of all the nurses only one was caring. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Hans Driessnack

Amazing staff, so energetic and willing to help!

Jon Thompson

The absolute worst billing and customer service I’ve ever had to deal with. Inaccurate, lack of service, no call backs, no follow up - highly recommend you follow up on any issue directly with the hospital as they have no aspect of customer service.

Don’t ever allow someone to send you here. It is a death sentence. When my grandfather just got out of the ICU room, they made him stand on his own while they made his bed. He was 85 years old. He fell in the floor and they refused to help him up. My mother and aunt were furious. When my father went to have shocks put in his back, for his spasms (broke his back) they turned the equipment voltage all the way up. When he woke up and they turned it on, he had a small heart attack. I went here when I had a severe gall bladder infection, I was told that I had an ulcer. They were disgusted with me for throwing up in the trash receptacle because I was experiencing sensory overload from the pain. The male nurse called me pathetic, and sent me home. My husband recently had an ultra sound done, and was expected to have his results back by today. Guess what? They never sent them off. This comes from years of experience dealing with this particular hospital. Go to Mercy in Rogers and you will have MUCH better care.

The Senior Circle that Lesa Tucker has at the hospital is a big joke. I was a member and some of the members are gossipers and tell lies on people. They won't try to get along with each other and gossip and tell likes.

John Cook

Excellent staff very professional people that just do it the right way. Very proud of my local hospital.

Took my husband at 430 pm on a Monday to NWMC Springdale with sudden onset right side numbness and neck/shoulder pain. We live lesss than 5 minutes away. He didn't look like he was in any immediate distress, but with those classic and well known stroke symptoms I thought based on the billboards and tv ads NWMC runs, he would have vitals checked at least right away. 10 minutes after we filled out all the forms and turned them in, no one spoke to us. I asked the admission person to please have someone check his vitals as I was concerned about a heart attack or stroke. She walked to a back room and I saw her speaking to someone. No one came out and she did not acknowledge us. I did not expect that we would be roomed fast or even see a dr fast, but his vitals should have checked by a staff person. I became angry and drove my husband 15 minutes to Mercy, which of course was foolish on my part. We had barely sat down at Mercy before his vitals were checked and he was given initial evaluation for stroke. His blood pressure was indeed extremely high. We arrived about 5pm and by 830 pm he had labs drawn and reported, a CT and results given and a neurologist contacted by phone for consult. We had seen a dr 2 times and she ordered more tests. For an ER visit that is FAST! When we arrived at Mercy, there were probably 2x the number of people in the waiting room as there had been at NWMC, but there were triage staff to evaluate each case and make contact quickly. ER is what it is, drug seekers abound and I know there are serious injuries we can't see from the front, but NWMC left themselves wide open for a patient to have devastating consequences at best by not following basic protocol for reported life threatening symptoms. We just established care with a NW affiliated primary care dr and we now are probably going to move on to a Mercy provider.

I called from out of state on January 9, 2019 approximately 1:47 pm on behalf of my brother that was sent in by ambulance at this location. The initial operator was very helpful in transferring me to the right dept. And once I was transferred to ER the lady who answered cut me off and said “All I can tell you is that he is here and is stable.” She then went on to rush me off The phone and said “we are very busy”. I feel that was very rude of her and she can use better customer service skills. That is no way to lessen a loved ones anxiety when inquiring on the status of a relative. ****Update**** They sent my brother home saying it wasn’t anything wrong with him and belittled him and treated him like he was crazy. He end up going to Mercy in Rogers and guess what? He has to have his gallbladder removed! Good job northwest hospital. You’re a total joke!

I met Dr Lewis in the ER and was blown away at his compassion and thorough job of research and his decision making process to truly attempt to solve my 91 yr old mother's long-term illnesses. ***** 5 star doctor for sure, I wish he had a private practice so I could go to him and I did ask him about that. On the other hand, Travis the guard in the ER was the bully type. He did his job in enforcing the rules but was not kind about it and made me want to not come back. I will try to avoid him in the future. He did a GREAT Job in being a New York City cop ~ Sometimes people need to bend the rules or deliver the rules in a more caring fashion. I commend him on his hard-nosed approach to sticking to the rules but I wish he would add a little kindness or some of doctor Lewis's compassion to it. I do realize there is a different mind set between a GREAT doctor and a cop on a tough "beat" but I was really glad he wasn't armed or I might have had a "hands up, don't shoot" or a "I can't breathe" moment with him. On another occasion, my mother had a stent put in with a cath routine. The stitches came apart a couple days later after physical therapy and she had profuse internal bleeding that led to life-threatening blood clots that had to be removed surgically a couple days later. Not all the clots were able to be removed and now she has permanent swelling on that leg because veins are clogged up with those clots. Some would sue but we forgave them because they didn't do it on purpose and everyone makes mistakes. If I ran the hospital, I would want to know what I have reported so here you go, hope it helps improve things and many kudos to doctor Lewis again.

Senior Circle at the hospital in Springdale and Bentonville is disorganized. The volunteer coordinators Lesa and Cindy don't treat some of the members right. The circle is mismanaged. Seems like they want to leave some of the members out of their activities. They need a volunteer coordinator that treats every Senior Circle member the same.

Mary Colliver

I would give 0 stars for the 1st (ICU) and 2nd floors because the staff on those floors are the absolute worst. The ICU nurses refer to their patients as "old man in bed 2" or "old lady in bed 5", they talk trash on their patients loudly, and much much more. The 2nd floor was even worse. If you need any help or want to live, refrain from the second floor. Also the nurses are very rude and seem to hate their job, they make you feel as though your a burden on them. BUT the 5th floor and the nurses get 5+ stars, they truly go above and beyond for their patients and their family members. Every single nurse that we came in contact with (for a week and a half) were all fantastic, day and night shifts. I can't say enough good things about them, they all deserve a raise. If every floor at this hospital had the nursing staff that's on the fifth floor, this hospital would be one of the best in the state I believe.

Lauren Paige

The internet said the average waiting time is “17 min”. We’ve been waiting for AN HOUR! This place is horrible. No sense of urgency what so ever.

Gregg Yocum

Worst hospital I've ever stepped foot into. You push a button for a nurse get told their on their way and never arrive. The nurse was referring to herself as retarded. If you want to feel like a burden and get no respect or perfessional help by all means go here. If you want professional nurses, drs and treatment please refrain.

Shane W

My grandma was admitted for 4 days and 3 nights for which I stayed every night. The staff are all good people. Not a one of them had a bad attitude like some have commented. The doctors seem to be mostly young people with the main doctor being the eldest, wisest of those available. Cons were horrible wifi, couldn't control the tv, no change machine in the concession area.

I went to the ER tonight. I just want to thank the staff at NW for taking such GREAT care of me. Special thanks to Daniel, the PA for being so thorough and kind. Also to Christy the RN. Another HIGE thanks to the guy who set my IV. He actually listened when i told him a vein was bad and didnt insist on sticking me unnecessarily. He went with the good vein. All in all great experience for having to be in the ER.

I had a Dr. Daniel Black when I got brought in he was rid to my boyfriend telling him to shout up and said he wanted me to talk.will I told my bf.he could talk for me because he knows everything and had my meds list.but I will say when he come back in the room he was nicer to us and find out why my chest was hurting..so I will say thanks on that part.

Jo Stephens

The care was excellent and the food greatly improved, Good doctors, nurses Nd therapists. They listen to you and double check medications and treatments every time they come in

Robin Burcham

Soooo under staffed. We were there to support a friend who had surgery. They gave her the wrong time to be there for starters. The surgery seems fine for now. They were unable to move her from recovery to a room so her husband could be with her. It took them 4.5 hours to find her a room. They told us it would be one hour. The reason given- not enough staff to clean the rooms or enough nurses to take care of the patience.

Quy Le

This is a for profit hospital and that charged us $1800 just for facility fees alone.

My wife has been there three times and all of the times she was taken very good care of.

Northwest Thank You for taking excellent care of my mom. She spent 2 weeks in the hospital and received exceptional care. No-one ever wants to spend that long in a hospital but if you have to Northwest is the best choice. Everyone we encountered from Respiratory, Lab, X-ray, Nursing to the Doctors went out of their way to be kind and compassionate and more importantantly took great care of my Mom. Thanks Northwest for all that you do.

Rhonda Thomas

Well it's 2017 this year, but last year we received our first bill for a surgery performed on March 12, 2014. What's up with that? When I went in I gave them my primary insurance and my secondary (military insurance). My military insurance always picks up whatever my primary doesn't pay. When I called them they told me "oh I'm sorry we didn't bill the Tricare, military but they would do that just disregard the bill. Well first folks guess what ??? They now sent it to a collection agency. I believe the one getting this bill should be the one that failed to bill it correctly. Will be interesting what Hippa will say about improper billing.

Maya S

The nurses were fantastic. Dr. Garibaldi was absolutely terrible. Had I not gone to Washington Regional after trying here I don’t know what would have happened. I spent two days at Washington Regional recovering from dehydration causing acute kidney injury, and electrolyte deficiencies that this doctor completely missed. The star is only for the nurses, if I could give zero to him I would.

Donna Lovell

One Forum Dr. Was the worst Doctor there. But Dr. Ball is the best Doctor There

Mandie Mahoney

The nurses were great.....the doctor not so. I was experiencing the WORST migraine I have ever had. Not only was I in severe pain, I was also having auditory and visual hallucinations. They administered benedryl, and ativan. I was not hysterical or having an allergic reaction. My prescriptions that I took BEFOREHAND were stronger and did not work...that's why the er visit...so why did they give me otc and an anxiety medication...which also did not work? My advice go to another hospital for a real doctor.

I had a outpatient procedure at Northwest Springdale. The team did an amazing job in caring for me and informing my wife on the progress of my care! Thank you Northwest Springdale!

I’ve had many family members taken care of at this facility, and the entire staff is friendly and compassionate. The physicians are top notch

My grandfather had a Liver Biopsy at Northwest Medical Center- Springdale today. The overall experience was wonderful! The staff was caring and explained things in a way that we could understand. His nurse Susan was so nice!

I wouldn't even give them a star if it wasnt for their nurses. The billing department is a joke, joke, joke. Joke . No call backs , they send u to collection without even giving u a bill. And when u try and call the billing department no one answers u leave a message and no one returns your call. And what's so funny is that my bill was paid by my insurance and they still sending the same bill to colections. I hope I never have to go back to this hospital again Please shut this hospital down and send the nurses to better hospital, with better administrators.

best surgical experience i could have asked for from the nurses to the anesthesia team where wonderful and accommodating. even as scared as i was they made me feel at ease and comfortable.

My father was referred here for a colonoscopy. I knew something was not right when they kept rescheduling his appointment. We arrived at 11AM, one hour passes we are still waiting. The two girls upfront said they were short on staff and the only Doctor they had was running late. Six different staff members told us that they will take him back in the next 20-30 mins. We ended up waiting 4 hours before they finally took him back. My poor father who has diabetes and has been fasting since the night before was feeling very light headed and dizzy. This is the worse place ever!!!!! Do not bring any of your family members here because they obviously do not care about your health. We will definitely not be back!!!

Sarah L

Understaffed and the admin nurse was rude and very short. Also, this hospital expected us to pay our $1,000+ medical bill in full. When we did not, we received continuous threatening letters from them even though I was making continuous monthly payments. At one point we even received a letter saying my payments were okay and that I could continue paying like that, but then the next month, they said I wasn’t approved to make payments like I was doing. You’d think they’d have something better to do with their time other than harass someone that is obviously paying off their bill. If I never made a payment, that would be understandable, but I was paying every month. I do the same thing at Washington Regional and never get harassed like this. I won’t be going back to this hospital.

My husband had a massive heart attack at the VA hospital in Fayetteville and wad transferred to Northwest Medical. There we met Dr. Elesber and his nurse Aubrey. The good Dr. saved my husband's life and he was placed in SIICU for the next 2 weeks on life support. I was absolutely impressed by now great the staff was! All the Dr's. brought in and the nursing staff were extremely good at their jobs and very professional. At the same time, they were very patient with all of my questions and took time to talk to me and explain things. We were there a total of 18 days and were so glad they were there when we needed them. Even though we live in MO., we will return to Dr. Elesber, cardiologist, and the hospital for any future needs. They are amazing!

WORST hospital I've ever known ...staff is rude...environment is dirty...food is nasty....best thing about that place is the physician's.....my poor mother will NEVER be brought here again...4th floor has a so called"nurse" named Bill...what a nightmare...apparently one is not allowed to ask for any help according to certain nurses and if you do you are immediately yelled at and told you have no right....would rather slap a diaper on a grown person then help them to the restroom....clamped off iv medication and when asked about it nurse said "my bad...i did that and i guess i forgot to unclamp it."....what has our healthcare system come to that these things are allowed to happen here in America..treating our elderly with such disrespect....

Melissa Williams

i have shingles worst nerve pain of my life been back in the er for 1 hour 45mins not so much as a nurse that ive called 3 times has even checked on me crying my eyes out

Went in emergency, had to wait over an hour, could have died, so i left. Gonna charge me lot$ for just for checking blood pressure and breathing air (update-charged me $130 for waiting with no service plus they all rude) sad that i was actually born in that hospital

If I could give zero stars I would. We drove 2 hrs for a ct scan came to support my partner they would not allow me to go back for support. Extremely rude underpaid check in people. I can see why this hospital only received two stars. Most of the people working today look like they hate there jobs sad very sad.

Worst hospital I've ever experienced the nurse staff is ridiculous, at least the ones I had for my 4 or 5 day stay you do not see them, they do not make thier rounds you have to buzz evertytime your meds are due and they take forever so that keeps putting them a lot lititle further and further behind, called to ask for my meds since they didn't show up when it was time (no surprise) and I got hung up on, messages faint get relayed to my nurse so went without a requested migraine pills for an hour. Tonight I look over and see a pill in a clear cup that obviously my nurse forgot to give me..really??? I have been so sick last 4 months and this makes hospital stay number 3 and I guess I'm used to the other 2 bc this is not how it was ran in Joplin Mo nor how it should be ran, that might explain the 2.6 star rating. If the patient isn't completely coherent they need someone with them at all times or they will not get meds on time or get checked on, I have never seen anything like this. Especially a place that's supposed to care for you and your supposed to trust them with with your life, if the doesn't motivate them the money they make should, but what makes a good nurse is caring for people not just collecting a check.

Second rate nursing staff. Very poor hospital.

This hospital is awful. Had terrible nurses on most of my ER visits, did not go here by choice; my neurosurgeon is affiliated with this hospital, and I was in the ER for post surgery complicationsz I had a decent APN who was understanding. They have good doctors, but terrible staff and they lack the support to provide good patient care. I have called and won’t get my call returned for a week at a time. Call their billing department and they answer within seconds. Mercy is probably the best place to go in the area.

Keep building hospitals so they can shut this facility down.

I want to give a 5 star to Northwest Springdale ED. My Aunt was taken to the ED last week and her treatment from the time we arrived to the time she was admitted was by far the best experience our family has ever had. The nurses and Dr Colvert were caring and concerned. They showed such compassion when my Aunt was the sickest. Even when we were waiting for admission to the floor that morning, the ER Director Tiffany came by and asked us if we needed anything and if there was anything she could do. She brought all of us great coffee and nutrients. Without asking she brought another warm blanket for my Aunt. How amazing is that? I have never seen a Leader do rounds in all the years my family has been through this ED. I am sharing with everyone. Springdale ED takes care of their patients!! My family if very grateful.

Linda Smith

My husband came into the ED with chest pain. I was really worried about him because he has a bad heart. The ER Dr. Bowen and ER Nurses and techs were amazing. They all came in immediately and got him taken care of so quickly. Nurse Stephanie was so calming to me when I was so nervous. My husband is doing well now and I cannot thank you enough for taking such great care of us. I am happy to know I can come to Springdale ER and get the best care around!! Thank you all so much

I had an outpatient surgery performed here. Everything went very well with my surgery and I didn't have any problems with anyone or anything. The staff was professional, friendly, and worked well together to get me going in a timely manner. I'd recommend coming into the ER when 1st arriving, unless you have detailed instructions on where to go. The place is a maze and there is no staff at most the entry points.

Holly Berry

The staff of Northwest Hospital Springdale took excellent care of me during my stay. Day nurses and night nurses went above and beyond for me. The room and whole floor was spotless. I can’t recommend this facility enough.

Doctors are not real friendly. Never did get to the bottom of anything after two ER expenses, left still having no idea what was wrong and sent to a specialist. My daughter tried to work out a payment arrangement as she had several bills come in all at once for thousands of dollars after insurance...be ready to have to pay it all in a year. They are not willing to work out a payment arrangement of any kind longer than one year. Period. Whether you can afford it or not. Nor will they combine them. I have never had a single problem with any other hospital being so unwilling to work with someone. Needless to say, the next time we needed an ER...it was worth the drive to Fayetteville.

Worst hospital visit ever ! Rn was very rude. Doctor rudnick never introduced himself. Very bad experience ! Never going back !!!

Brian Rounsavall

This use to be the one the best hospitals in NWA. Now, its the worst. Went there with chest pain and no explanation or any diagnosis of what was going on. Sent me home with no meds and take OTC's. Didn't sleep a wink the night before. I didn't even see a doctor for chest pain. I saw a nurse practitioner, are u kidding?!!! No explanations or diagnosis and no I will never go back there.

Some people seem nice some seem indifferent no one is really standoffish. But my problem us that I cam in here with my fiancée she was having sever breathing problems. And yet they leave us sitting out in the waiting room. Still here now and been here for about an hour. Doesn't seem like they think her situation is much of an emergency. As fat as the comments I read about payments.. doesn't matter how bad or how fast they want you to pay your bills. They can send to collections all they want just cost them more in the end. Medical bills unless under special situations. Can not collect interest on any amount of money. And as far as stopping the unwanted mail and calls. Call your people you owe money and tell them how it is. For example. I can of ford to pay you guys 20 a month. They can't say no or that won't work we need more blah blah blah. They can't force you to pay what you can't offord. Pay what u can on a monthly basis and next thing you know it'll be gone.

Absolute worst place to deal with. Went for nutritional counseling , coding was not right. They refuse to fix it. The counseling was nothing more than getting pamplets from American Diabetes association and their recommendations.

Samuel A. Isaac

Money is tight and times are hard everywhere! ! All medical care is expensive now days. The good news is that they employ several of our family, friends and neighbors. Most all business can use some type of improvement. At least there is a hospital in the city.

Tiffany Means

Hillary Capwell

My step-dad was in the ICU, and the staff was very compassionate. They were prompt to meet our needs and his. The doctors had great bedside manners which is sometimes hard to find these days and was a breath of fresh air compared to other facilities we have been to. Thank you Northwest for such great care and compassion.

Leah Fernandez

I would leave zero stars if it would let me. I brought my son in tonight because he had a fever and while the doctor was checking him Im assuming it was a male nurse walked in without even knocking and my 3 year old son became frightened. The doctor grabs my son by the arm yanks him over and pushes him down onto the bed. Its unacceptable. He is 3 years old! To top it off they did nothing. There was zero test done. She was like we will see if it goes down. Of course it went down I gave him tylenol in their waiting room. I should have known they would do nothing. The first time my son ever had a febrile seizure their dumb nurse argued with me about what I saw not being a seizure for over 45 minutes when the doctor told her to give him fever reducing medication she argued until he had a second seizure. These people do not know what they are doing. Especially when it comes to kids. Im making my son an appointment in the morning and they better hope he doesn't seizure before then.

Stay: 8 days, MHU I enjoyed the regular humor and friendly atmosphere. I felt safe and somewhat happy. Some groups felt inappropriate, but helpful overall. Meds worked.

Erica Martinez

Horrible service. I would never set foot in that hospital again even if I were about to die. They missed my fracture on my heel and literally put in my radiology report that they were not sure if it was a fracture or it it was the underlaying of my sock. They did not even bother to remove my sock or touch my foot to see if the ROM was ok. I had set up a payment plan coming to find out the billing office did not set it up to auto draft like they were supposed to. When I called to complain about the quality of care and the issues with the billing office I was told they exceeded their carev expectations in my visit. I call BS on that...they did not even bother to remove my sock to see all the bruising on my foot. They gave me child size crutches that had me hunched over and did not even show me the proper way of using them. I had to ask to get crutches that properly fit my height. Once dealing with my complaint I was told I would get a call back by Rachel Boyle who was handling my complaint. I waited several weeks and left voicemails for over a month until I decided to call non stop one day and she picked up along with Jessica Nichols who looks over the billing department. They told me they never got my voicemails eventhough I had been leaving voicemails for a month. On top of that they did not update my demographics for my visit and left a voicemail on my old cell phone number that now belongs to who knows who to ask me to come back in for further imaging once they realized they missed my fracture. I was not ok with them leaving my personal information on someone else's voicemail but they don't seem to think it's a violation of my personal health information. I received the worst service ever! I will never set foot in that place again.

My spouse has utilized NW Sprindale for several outpatient procedures. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable. We were in and out very quickly.

Had a little medical procedure there yesterday (4-16-19). I would give them a 10! From the helpful gentleman who did my preop to the gracious lady who wheeled me to the car when I was dismissed and every person in between, Thank you. In a world so filled with selfishness and anger Northwest has put together an amazing team. Praying this morning that God will give each of you the peace of His presence.Donald Cochran. Posted in the name of that wonderful lady who has put up with me for over 60 years.

Sara Roberts

I wish I’d seen the bad reviews before coming to NW Medical Center. It is very rundown and the bed linens have stains and smelled stale, like a cheap hotel. The outpatient surgery department employees need some training on how to do their job professionally and correctly. The pre op and post op staff were wonderful but the procedure staff need more supervision and training. They were all laughing and joking loudly for over 15 minutes while laid there waiting to be put under. Multiple employee phones were going off. Then right before I went out the nurse was stating my name, dob etc then said no drug allergies! I have an anaphylactic allergy to a medication!!! I was wearing a red allergy bracelet. Every nurse that I had spoken to had asked and I had told them this. So right before I go out as the sedative is going into my IV I hear this. Very unsettling. I will never go to any Northwest Hospital, specialty clinic or regular clinic again. It was not only ran poorly but is dangerous.

Went in for a simple stomach ache got a $8,500 Bill sorry excuse of a hospital. Would never step foot in it if I was dying

Behavior unit is the worst.. they will lie and act illegally please if you have a loved one and is feeling sick do not take them here they there is only a small amount of good staff left in this hospital. :( they will not honor your rights whats so ever. negative infinity stars :(

D Par

If you have a loved one in here, have someone staying with them 24/7 because the care is very minimal. You actually have to call two or three times to finally get any pain meds that are scheduled, therefore it is usually an hour or so overdue by the time you do get it. They take about 45 min to respond to even minimal request. Just have someone stay with the patient so you know they are getting cared for.

Heather Hughes

I had a wonderful experience at Northwest Medical Springdale. Everything about it was perfect.

They killed my mother - she was vented bc her lungs are bad which is common with copd patients and they ended up placing her on a trac where they inserted a feeding tube wrong and killed every organ in her body killing her. This facility should be closed *** the worst hospital ever. Would not go there if my life depended on it! They had about 10 diff people rotating constantly on my mother and between the 3 Dr's who didnt know what was happening (they literally said this) to all the RN's PT's RT's my mother ended up dying and even if she did live her legs would have had to be amputated bc of blood clots and possibly bed sores. NEVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL PEOPLE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE -

Michelle Zane

Wow. Quite possibly the most ignorant people on the face of this planet work at this hospital. I wouldn't even send my dog to the emergency room there if his life depended it.

The nursing staff was very polite and curdious very good bed side manners food was excellent. They cared for my wife for over two weeks they was one that touched my heart by going above and beyond her call of duty thank you all for your excellent care .

Sonya Drevdahl

I have spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals since childhood because of respiratory problems. The respiratory department has always been friendly to me and are all good at their job. Couldn't ask for better care. The nursing staff also is a great bunch of people. They were very attentive to my needs and always friendly. House keepers are friendly and kept my room clean and stocked. Meals are always served on time and fresh. Like they give you lots of meal options to choose from. Thank you all for making my stay pleasant and for all the efforts you put into my care.

charles williams

My son goes in with Kidney stones. No pain killers when sent home. It's a joke. Worst hospital in northwest Arkansas. Not even close . Never have I had kidney stones when I was sent home that I didn't have pain killers. This place is a joke

Connie French

The staff is friendly and assist you as quickly as possible. They do whatever they can to assess your needs and are great at informing loved ones of your condition, as much as HIPPA laws allow.

Harley James

Was literally told that having 7 surgeries in a yr is no excuse to be on pain meds and I was a drug addict. Was sent home with sever infection.

Shell M

The WORST experience ever! My daughter has had a headache for a few months and we went here to get an MRI to find out why. They refused to do an MRI and made us feel like we were bothering them. The nurse (Andrea) even rolled her eyes at my daughter because she was in so much pain she was crying. We left here with NOTHING but a referral to a neurologist. Poor excuse for a hospital. People in the medical field are getting paid to care and they could not care less here! We will never step foot in this hospital again! I too would give zero stars if it would allow, but that is not an option.

Jason McCoy

Friendly, compassionate care. If you voice a concern, they will go out of their way to make it right.

I had surgery yesterday and idk know but I read these reviews and i was worried about this place and all was wrong as soon as I came in the lady with brown hair and glasses was very sweet and helpful then the prep nurses were so nice I felt at home and they were amazing A TEAM the nurses on the floor after was so patient with me I was so crazy after the surgery but I apologized and they did amazing maybe sometimes we are the reason they are so rude other than not getting my dinner then no breakfast till hour later was great the staff was amazing the anisteshiologist everyone was amazing recommend to bring meal lol jp I really was up to eating last night any way lol BUT AMAZING STAFF

Cali NWA

Front desk women was rude with an attitude, the Doctor as well was very unprofessional they made me feel unwelcome..

Kimberly Truelove

First class. Everyone cares, listens, do all they can for your comfort. And their smiles are genuine and reaches up to their eyes! Best care I ever had from ER to cardiac care.

William Jenkins

I died here

Absolutely the worst hospital in the area! A loved one was inadequately treated numerous times through their ER..the last time, a so called specialist from AHEC misdiagnosed a severe cellulitis infection as stasis dermatitis without having any proof of poor circulation and despite the presence of obvious pus! Finally after going to a different ER, IV antibiotics appropriate for the illness in appropriate amounts, for appropriate length of time were given on an outpatient basis and resolved the illness. 4 trips to Springdale ER didn't resolve the illness 1 trip to Mercy in Berryville and appropriate treatment resolved it without incident. I,myself, went there one time prior to that. No appropriate treatment was given nor was a diagnosis truly made. They expect me to pay $1500+ even though they did not provide any treatment. They order unnecessary tests instead of treating patients! ! They seem only interested in ordering expensive tests for simple issues! ! I would not recommend anyone go to them unless you wish to be under treated and over charged! !

Michael Hill

The emergency room took good care of my work related broken leg plus stitches. They were professional and compassionate, from start to finish.

A few years back I had go to that butcher place. I had cut my finger to the bone, I waited in the er for 3 hrs. Never mind the fact that I was on warfine aka...blood thinners. 3 hr wait for four stiches and $1200. I won't send my dogs there.

Brian Hyatt

Great nurses! Responsive administration. Personally watched the CEO of the hospital answer a patient's family member's questions in the hallway, though the information desk was less than 10 feet away.

Kristen Mason

Even though it was against my better judgment I came to northwest medical center because it was the closest hospital and I was in a extreme amount of pain. I wish I would have just stuck it out for a little longer to make it to Fayetteville. The staff is very rude and incompetent at doing their job. When I have to ask to be prescribed antibiotics when I clearly had a fever, then their is a serious problem with their ability to treat patients. I would strongly recommend people to reconsider their options when choosing medical care. This hospital is a joke and I can tell why everyone warned me to go somewhere else to be treated. I will never come here again.

Paul Bolt

I recently had surgery at Northwest Health and every part of the process was excellent.

Kyle Looney

Took my wife here to stitch up her hand after she had an accident. I watched the PA stitch it mostly though there was still a large portion gaping open and not stithes, and then he looked back and kind of tilted his head like he was thinking, and I asked “are you going to give it another stitch?” And he replied, “I was thinking about it.” I told him I thought it looked like it at least needed one more, and he proceeded to give it one more stitch (but not where it obviously needed one.) Almost week passed and since the cut not closing and healing, we went to our PCP where she said only 1 of 4 stitches was done properly, 2 were not attached to the skin and one was overtime causing the skin to bunch and not heal. After 2 days of her glueing the cut it was back together and healed fine thankfully. We opened a dispute with the hospital and they dismissed it and forced us to pay for my wife hand botchery. Never go here if you need any form of medical attention whatsoever, they are incompetent, uncaring and unreasonable. Would give negative 50 stars if possible.

OmniGamer 07

Absolute trash administration and ER Doctors. The nurses where the only positive thing about this place. The doctor spent less than two minutes with me before just sending me home with script and telling me to go see a PCP. They didn't seem to think that an all of a sudden inability to walk was an Emergency.

Lamont Richie

I had an outpatient procedure today. Leading up to it, last week I went thru the pre-op check-in that included a visit to the phlebotomist. In every step of the way, I was greeted cordially, handled professionally and treated with compassion. The facility was clean and pleasant smelling. Going in, I already had high confidence in my doctor. Having such a positive experience with the hospital was a real plus.

Edith Mcdaniel

Lady at front desk and nurse's were polite and nice . That is the only reason they get a 2. They sent in some young PA with no life experience and could not of had much nursing experience . He tells me a hernatited a disc or two in back. Makes me comfortable while I m there. Then gives me 5 days of tramadol 1 every 12, 7 days of muscle relaxers(which I couldn't take at work any way) and a anti inflammatory. Then says go back to work in 2 days! At that time I was having to be assisted to the bathroom and back. I coundnt stand or sit for the pain. Mind you I hadn't taken anything stronger than Tylenol in years. He is going to sit and lecture me a nurse for over 20 years about addiction. Are you serious?
