REVIEWS OF Redemption Psychiatry IN Arizona

Front office staff VERY rude and unresponsive. I was calling on Friday from 11AM-closing and Monday morning (this morning) from 8AM-9AM trying to get through to someone to cancel my appointment within the 24-hour timeframe to prevent a fee. When I finally got through to a representative, she failed to provide her name and she asked if they had went over the policy with me prior. I stated I was not told that I would be assessed a fee as the scheduling rep stated it was for intake and follow-ups; I was a new patient for an outpatient service. She then proceeded to snark and say “OK! I’m sure they’ll waive it. I’ll cancel your appointment. BYE!” She did not allow me another word. I should have trusted the reviews and noted my first experience with them during scheduling. This staff does not know how to treat patients. VERY disappointed as I was willing to give them a chance.

The office staff in Phoenix are very friendly and efficient. Our psychiatrist is patient, compassionate, and professional.

We were recommended to this practice by a good friend to get some support for my daughter. I filled out all paperwork online and they called and scheduled an appointment. When we arrived at our scheduled time they informed us that we weren’t on the schedule (but they did have a chart for my daughter.) The excuse was that they had new scheduling software and were working out the kinks. They then called me again to reschedule. At that appointment I scheduled the next six visits. Showed up today to have them tell me again that I wasn’t in the schedule and that none of the other five appointments were in the system either. The excuse was still that they had just implemented new scheduling software. It has been well over a month since using that poor excuse for bad office management. Find another practice and save yourself the frustration.

So sorry to see some of these negative reviews. Dr. Z was our first doctor who treated our son. He was great and will be missed. We just saw my son's new provider Lydia V. She was professional, listened closely and answered all of our questions and gave great feedback and suggestions. Staff and providers have been great to us since the beginning. They also have "Mercey", their new therapy dog we got a chance to meet. She is so sweet, thank you so much!

It's disappointing to see all the negative reviews! I'm not a patient, but my partner is, and I thought the level of care and professionalism was totally on point. The nurse assisting us with his procedure was very informative, caring, and took the time to answer all our questions and put his mind at ease. If it was a bad transitional period that they went through, I'd say it's safe to say it's over. All businesses do sometimes. We're all human.

Got med support right away

Intake appointment went well. He is assertive and uses the initial questionnaire to navigate and drive the conversation. He seems stern and confident. I look forward to future appointments to continue to help my child.

Offices aren’t very clean. Carpets have stains everywhere. The staff is subpar.

I received another patient's private patient account information. so I filed a complaint with U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Maybe after that they'll take things more seriously and realize that its unacceptable to expect patients who have to wait weeks at a time to get a pre-auth just to fill a prescription that they need. I would assume a psychiatrist of all people would know that medicines can't be stopped cold turkey. The front desk staff at the arrowhead location was unbearable and when I complained to corporate (Dan Friday), who is in someway related to the office manager Jennifer Friday, I never received a call back and instead was discharged as a patient. If I could leave less than 1 star I would.

Friendly staff.

Admittedly, I was 6 minutes late for my appointment. But, I was driving from Buckeye to Central Phoenix for an 8am appointment, there's no way to gauge traffic at that time. Every other Dr I have ever seen gives a 15 minute grace period for appointments, for that reason! I have no control over traffic, none. When I walked in, they said the Dr is rescheduling the appointment because it is their policy to not even allow patients to be a minute late, especially an intake patient, that new patients are supposed to be 15 minutes early for paperwork. Mind you, I filled all my New Patient forms out online the day before. I begged them to please allow me to be seen because I drove from so far, I don't drive due to a seizure disorder & had no way to get back in any time soon. She said she would message the Dr. She types on the computer for a few minutes, then walks out. 5 minutes later, she walks in with her cell phone in her hand and says her manager is on the line and wants to speak to me. Juanita was SO RUDE! Wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise, was yelling at me "I looked at the history and I made this appointment, I tell all my patients to arrive early. The Dr's time is valuable, this is our policy" No, *JUANITA* you did NOT tell me that. You said I would have to be there 30 minutes early IF I waited to complete my New Patient paperwork in the office. We even shared a laugh because "who would want to be there 30 minutes prior for such an early appointment" You then said "Since you're doing your forms online, your appointment time is 8, just make sure you bring a photo ID and insurance card" You never once mentioned your ridiculous policy & no such policy was mentioned online! While I was being yelled at by her, it occurred to me; I don't want to be seen by a Dr with a God complex, now or ever! I will find a Psych Dr that ACTUALLY cares about patient care. What if I had thoughts of harming myself & you playing God & cancelling my appointment was the last straw, Dr Hinden? I don't handle stressful situations well and legit had a panic attack in the office. Do you think the Dr that I was seeing for my anxiety disorder cared? Nope! It's not fair that patients have no recourse for Dr's with a God complex. We're mercilessly stuck with dealing with doctors like Dr. Hinden. Anyone seeing this review, do yourself a favor & find a different provider. I went there because my PCP recommended them. Hopefully, after they hear how I was treated they will stop referring patients there!

This place has good privacy and nice doctors

Great place- people are nice and helpful. And I'm picky and have been to lots of places like this. Tracy has really been great in helping my wife. Everyone I've ever dealt with here has just been excellent.

This is a terrible clinic. I saw Dr. Lee Moore 2 times, and he was condescending and dismissive. For my third appointment, the office dropped it and I had to wait a week to reschedule. Then, I was 5 minutes late and Dr. Moore had taken off for the day. Meanwhile I'm out of my prescription and they can't get me in and won't write a prescription. Do not come here.

Made an appointment 4 weeks ago. 2 weeks before the scheduled appt. they call and say they need to reschedule. Now they want me to wait another 6 weeks for a new appointment. No Thank You! What a terrible way to operate a business. Especially one where people are seeking treatment for an illness.

This is not a dependable experience. One time okay, next time not. I've just gone through the most absurdly ridiculous prescription refill attempt to date. The details aren’t worth going into just add it to the plethora of frustrating issues I’ve had here. There are an ample number of psychologists and psychiatrists such that you’ll find another easily. Though ultimately the practice functions on some vaguely passable level if you’re going to a practice like this one it’s because you experience some emotional issues…having those exacerbated by foul-ups is like throwing jet fuel on a burning building. Just say no and go somewhere else. 2/13/19: I feel I should now append the previous review. The practice was going through a transition they did not shareUntil I probed more deeply at my next appointment. I would say that the transition has been helpful and that operations will probably run somewhat smoother going forward. I happen to like my psychiatrist quite a lot and feel she offers helpful advice outside the strict confines of psychiatry and medication prescription. I now feel better about the practice as a whole and plan to continue there.

The doctor I have is great but the office staff have screwed me over multiple times. First with telling me my appointment was cancelled due to missing paperwork and charging me money I just didn't have that I could put through my insurance only to ho back in to realize my paperwork had been done long before the appointment date. Second time was when I rescheduled in advance, but was charged with a no show again. I managed to get it waived but things like this keeps happening. They are very unhelpful and almost seem to refuse to look into helping patients and have not answered over half of my calls, rarely returning missed calls. The fact I could reschedule was a miracle all considering.

I’ve had a very blessed life, yet sometimes I get depressed . If you need help with mental health, this is the place.

My daughter was seeing Dr. Z for a couple years at this location and all was well. On our last visit in January 2019 Dr. Z told us he was leaving the practice and my daughters case would be transferred to another one of the providers at the office. My daughter has a med management appointment every 3 months so after 4 weeks of no call from Redemption on her case being transferred I called to inquire and was told there were no more spots available and she would have to find psychiatric care elsewhere. Patient care went right out the window! New patient appointments for a adolescent takes months to get on the schedule and they know this. How could they just let people go without a heads up? Unbelievable.

Came in for a more thorough and complete diagnosis and to seek help. The RNFP whom I say, was 20 min late- I get it, dr offices get behind. However, she didn't have my chart reviewed, even though I had remitted paperwork 4 days before my appt, and with a "why are you here today" immediate said I needed inpatient treatment. No real questions about my history, no requests about my medication history- just you need inpatient treatment. No lie- I was FURIUOUS- she then defended her judgement by saying this wasn't her first rodeo. I explained my concerns that I was not a harm to myself or others and that I thought inpatient was a bit extreme. She then clarified, that she meant outpatient. I asked about doing more than just adjusting my meds and I had to pull teeth to get additional resources, that she couldn't effectively describe to me. Worst experience ever

Very polite staff

Dr. Stein is the best medical provider I’ve ever worked with.

Dr. Bermudez is awesome! He really made my 7 year old feel comfortable! He gets them and he really listens to my concerns!

Imagine having a son who is in somewhat serious need of mental healthcare. The Dr he has been seeing for 3-4 years has run out of ideas, meds to try and informs you that you should get a second opinion. Your son is still getting worse as days pass even after thousands and thousands of dollars have been spent out of pocket for help that really never did anything for him over the last few years. You find Redemption Psychiatry fill out packets of information, get an appointment scheduled that is scheduled a couple months out, wait...wait...wait, and then a couple weeks before your appointment they call you up and cancel the appointment because the Dr left the practice. Back to square one, and now set back months again. The biggest thing that bothers me about this isn't that the Dr left the practice and they had to cancel, that is understandable, it's the "oh well" attitude from the person that called to cancel the appointment. Shrugging it off like its no big deal, and we can easily just call someone else. No...it's not that easy. It is not easy to find a new child Psychiatrist, fill out packets of paperwork again for the 20th time over the years, wait months and months for a problem that is getting steadily worse just to most likely get no help just like every place we tried before. We were optimistic about Redemption Psychiatry, hopeful that maybe this time the Dr would see something that others haven't seen. Crushed again, and salt rubbed in by the "oh well" attitude from the person on the phone. This is just another example of how mental healthcare in Arizona is 100% complete garbage.

This review is for the CENTRAL PHOENIX Location. I had a new patient appt that I waited THREE months for on Monday 9/25/17. I saw my psychiatrist (Lydia Veratti @ Arrowhead location- who is fantastic!) And she informed me the therapist I was scheduled with left the company. The Phoenix location did NOT bother to call me to advise me and I could have started looking for a new place. But NOPE they didn't have the courtesy to call me. I called their office (on 9/21/17) and they advised me that none of their other therapists accept my insurance (UHC) and basically that I'm s.o.l. So now I need to find a whole new facility and wait another 3 months for an appointment, when I really need the help now!!!
