I called oasis to check on the arrival of my loved one who was flowned out. An Oasis representive said I need a patient code. I asked how do I get one and they said the patient has to call you. It was frustrating because how does the patient know that they need to call? Especially, in their condition. And also, I could hear a woman in the back ground screaming, “No, No, please!”. Which made us worry even more about my loved one. It has been over 12 hours without communication with my loved one.

Never come here I was admitted and stayed for 7months the inside the building was horrible the staff are no help and its not a healthy enviroment just to be honest psych hospitals don't help they may look good in the picture but the inside is way worse it made me go insane I just paced up and down the halls everyday I was their if your looking for help do not choose this one and there are windows but their always covered they sometimes don't let u call your family and u will suffer here sometimes the other patients may be aggressive and may get into a fight but I do not recommend this place when I was their there was no house keeping so the staff had us clean our self's with water and towels and if u are coming here just be prepared but on the residential treatment side is worse than the acute side acute means severe u sometimes there for couple weeks but on residential side its long term but it worse and there is a lot of abuse from staff and they have bad maintenance it took almost two months for them to fix my toilet and for parents I wouldn't recommend putting your child here but 7 months was horrible was a nightmare

This place is the worst place anyone can get help at i have a close friend almost like a daughter to me who is a little depressed so thought she can go get help she called me within the hour and said please go get her they locking her in a room and forcing her to be there she is super scared ..... And today i called and the front office lady who anseered the phone by the name of brittney put me on hold 3 times the 3rd time she left to lunch some lady named joy answered still not telling me about my daughter after theyhad mentioned giving her drugs if she dont stop trying to leave ....

im very happy with my experience

I went here tonight expecting to get admitted. Instead I got no one in the lobby except people waiting for assessments. Someone came in trying to take his girlfriend out of the facility because she had been harassed by staff members. They then lied about another behavioral health facility having zero beds available which I later found out was a lie when calling their facility. This place feeds bad vibes. Do not go here unless you are desperate

Great! Very attentive and knowledgeable. Quick to return phone calls and flexible appointment schedule. Very determined to help with issues and comes across as a true professional.

I spent 7 months in the residential facility and 3 weeks in acute care. The people here really do care about you, and they work hard to make sure you have the correct treatment. Nicole, the psychiatrist, was amazing and handled my medication and treatment amazingly. She was understanding and listened to my concerns and actually following through. All of the BHTs were friendly and always did their job. They stopped fights when they happened, listened to us when we needed them to and gave us support throughout our stay. Nurses were thorough when giving medication(s), always asking for our DOB, name and listed what we were taking. They respected HIPPA at all times. When I got my therapist/counselor, he listened to me and respected when I wasn't able to talk about something. The only compliant I really have isn't for me, but for Oasis. They were under staffed constantly and sometimes had 1 staff member on the floor. When there's 12 kids to watch, safety isn't going to fully be there. This isn't the BHTs or the nurse's fault, it's the overall company. Oasis, you really do need to step up and make sure the staff to patient ratio is ALWAYS consistent and maintains safety. This was a great experience and I recommend anyone to bring their kid here for proper care and treatment.

I regret each day my daughter was at Oasis. I assumed the staff would be warm, compassionate and most of all experienced with troubled teenagers. What I found was unprofessionalism, inappropriate behavior and a staff that was just waiting to clock out. This facility is run more like a jail then an "OASIS". Prior to admitting your child, ask what they can do for you. I wish I did.

Jason Billingham

After my insurance wouldn't pay another penny after 16 days, I was magically rehabilitated, and discharged. I feel exploited. There is a few good staff members, some excellent nurses. Do not go here. Go to Aurora, Copper Springs, or Quail run. I do hope you get well.

Nancy Collicott

My daughter received excellent care and made rapid progress towards reaching her goals. The only issue we had was when a non-custodial family member was allowed by the receptionist to add people, including themselves, to the allowed visitor list against the parents' agreed upon names.

Christine H

I did not receive the help that I desperately needed. My circumstances from a physical and mental health perspective declined with my stay there. The people that are admitted to Oasis are very vulnerable and need the highest standard of care and services. Some of the employees were very compassionate and understanding, and hopefully they will stay.

Called yhe 800 number provided inquired about the meth treatment. And was told that they are only a detox facility and that they dont have a meth treatment amd wasnt sure why they advertise that. He was not very helpful and did not seem very knowledgeable of what treatments were avalible at his place of employment

Dani R.

The staff was extremely rude and difficult to get a hold of. They ignore the patients and sit and talk in their own little groups refuse to answer you. The staff treats you as if you're a criminal rather than someone in there for help

Maria Perez

Worse place ever in the whole entire universe Unstead if helping they make it worse for them . They are inhumanity.

Juan Manrique Long Beach

Dr. Bist is an intellectual who can quickly diagnose the causes based on facts put in front of him and suggest correct remedies. You can rely on his judgement which comes from his significant experience.

Rochelle L. Garcia

Avoid this location as much as possible. Horrible residential experience. There is no perfect place but for sure this is on the bottom of our list. We selected Palo Verde Tucson location (Acute - Girl Adolescent Unit) twice so that alone says something.

Olivia Thomas

Dr. Bist is the smartest, most caring doctor that I have ever been to in my entire life. In today's world of medicine, very few doctors use critical thinking. Dr. Bist not only uses critical thinking but he make sure to look at the patient as a whole and not just another customer. Conventional medicine is failing us all horribly and instead of being solution-oriented most doctors today are problem oriented. They shuffle you out within minutes and hand you a prescription that gives you more problems than you had when you originally walked in. Unlike the others, Dr. Bist is solution-oriented and wants to find the root cause of your issue so you don't have to fall victim to the prescription drug trap. I feel so blessed that I found him.

For your own sanity and the safety of your child please don't send them to this facility. Besides a weekend nurse we never heard from anyone in 6 days. My daughter fainted and hit her head on a bed and they put her right back to sleep. Nurses were cussing when they answered the phone one night and I spoke to 3 people and not one of them asked for my code. I was given multiple discharge times and they kept cancelling telling me there was no doctor (shouldn't one already be around it's a hospital). I couldn't get my daughter out soon enough.

If you love your child, don’t send him/her to Oasis. The staff are rude, the doctors will not speak on the phone, and they do not test teens for medical issues they say they have. The “doctor” wanted to give my child medication for Irritable Bowel Syndrome because she said her stomach was cramping. The computerized test she took, which is how teens are diagnosed, said she has anxiety and that could lead to stomach pain. How does a behavioral facility for mental illness not realize the stomach cramping is from anxiety, but tried to diagnose her with IBS without her having any tests ran? It’s impossible to get anyone to answer the phone and be helpful. My child harmed herself, for the first time, while she was there. She scratched her arm with her fingernails so deeply that she bled and I was not notified of this. After I pulled her out against medical advice because of the lack of treatment she was getting and her erratic behavior while she was there, they reported me to DCS. Don’t let this scare you or intimidate you as they tried with me. Yes, I had to meet with a DCS worker, but all they care about is that you’re taking your child somewhere else, inpatient or outpatient, it doesn’t matter. Anyway, my daughter told me she was not required to go to groups or talk about her feelings and she met with a therapist for 10 minutes a day. She sat around all day, braided other patients’ hair, listened to music and watched movies. This is supposed to be a facility that assists children with mental issues, but it sounded more like summer camp. She could do what she wanted, talk to boys all day long at the facility, and if she didn’t want to talk to me, the nurses encouraged her to hang up on me. If I disagreed with a medication they wanted to give her, such as the IBS medication, the nurse would go tell my daughter “your mom isn’t ready to help you so she declined the medication.” DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE.

Michelle Bryant

Worst place ever. Social workers don't care about communication with family and have patients discharged against doctors suggestion but write it up as if it is and get young patients to sign off as they don't understand what they are signing. I get a bill from them and not a week later they have the nerve to call and harrass me. They are not worth a penny that I have to pay them. I have dealt with other hospitals and this by far is the worst of the worst.

Carl Burkholder

The facility was nice enough and the people seem to be ok at their jobs. The fact is program only worked for a couple of weeks after it was completed. Also about 4 months later they suddenly had a very large bill that needed to be paid even though I had been paying as I went and was told at the end of the program that I didn't owe them anything. It seems to be a big scam. Not totally in that they actually have a decent program but the financial portion is nothing more than a scam! I am not pleased!!

Over the last few years, I have relied on the knowledge, wisdom and expertise of Dr. Bellota. Her ability to empathize and see things clearly have helped steer me through some incredibly difficult times in my life. Her thorough knowledge about different approaches and medications have helped me to cope with some of life's greatest challenges. I am truly grateful for Dr. Bellota for her trustworthiness, dependability and compassion. I highly recommend her.

uh...this place is terrible. my sink was broken, the whole place was dirty and never clean except when they made us clean the day room. I did meet really good people who I still talk to, but I mean, they lost my things, some staff were rude, others were kind, and what bothers me is I had insomnia and when I finally went to sleep they woke me up to take vitals super early in my room and I could never fall back asleep..idk this place just didn't help at all and I relapsed and hid it for two months because I didnt wanna go back

Amber Pecotte

I have never been so disappointed in a company before. The second I told them I did not consent to depression meds because depression was the least of my worries, they had no desire to complete treatment. I had to have surgery the day they insisted on discharging and if I didn't go though with their adamant discharge, I was going to have DCS called and be reported for neglect. Also, while I was at the facility, I received a phone call saying DCS was getting called because social worker Ashley hadn't heard from me when, in fact, I called at approximately 10:31am to let them know I had a 4 hour drive to get to the facility. This company not only doesn't help, they do not communicate or do their jobs. Waste of time, money, and expectation. I suggest negative stars be an option.

Oasis behavioral hospital Chandler AZ is the worst mental hospital , my experienced here made me feel worst they treated us like prisoners , starved us , dirty bedroom and bathroom. We can't even get in in our bedroom bathroom to use ,during day time and we only used this one toilet all for one disgusting dirty stinky bathroom the entire day . My problem get worsen . Feel depressed the entire treatment which worsen my mental and emotional health . Even telephone were not allowed to use , we need to beg to use that stupid telephone just to call home for being homesick and needed to call my family. The doctors and all the staffs were unprofessional they all treated us in there like those victims in hollocaust if we cry they injected us a tranquilizer and slept for 72 hrs. My experienced in Oasis behavioral hospital made my trauma even worst . This is my experiences so pls if your loved ones needed help don't put them in that hell.

Jason Thomas

I highly, highly recommend Dr. Bellota and her office. Dr. Bellota is not only thoughtful but is full of knowledge to share and gives her patients her full attention.

I was a patient for 2 weeks, and there was constant support, and warmth. I was admitted from the ER for SI, and was extremely terrified of the thought. I was in the adolescent unit, and all of us had similar issues. We were constantly occupied as patients, and given lots of food. Your child, or yourself would be well taken care of, in my opinion as I was treated well, and received lots of help. The only thing I didn't like was the doctor. I felt he was rude and didn't care. But that's what? One of 12 main focuses? A STRONG piece of advice, is to be very open and honest with your therapist, and doctor, and most importantly, yourself. I felt I left too early, for instance. Also, go to the outpatient group therapy sessions after you leave the hospital. Yeah, you feel this confidence when you get out, but I was very vulnerable. I went from having someone constantly there, helping me, to having pretty much no one. I hope this helped.

Dr. Bellota has been working with our son, who is currently twenty, for the last two years helping him to deal with issues related to severe OCD. She has always been a caring, giving and insightful psychiatrist who has developed a trusting relationship with our son. We especially like the fact that she has taken a holistic approach to treatment that includes medication and Neurofeedback. She has been very communicative with us regarding our son's needs, texting or telephoning us when there were issues that we should be aware of. She has also been very supportive in helping our son successfully make the transition from high school to college, and dealing with the challenges of functioning in a high-stress environment. We are very happy with our relationship with Dr. Bellota and we highly recommend her to others.

Finding the right psychiatrist is tough, you're not going to be compatible with everyone. I've seen a few over the years and Dr. Bist is by far the best for me. He is a grounded, practical and compassionate listener, and also gives just the right amount of feedback. He focuses a lot on mindfulness and being in the present moment, which seems so simple but is actually kinda tough to do. He's helped me learn some valuable skills and guided me through some big changes in my life.

Jack Thomas

I have struggled with mental health disorders for the majority of my life. I have been to dozens of doctors, clinicians, and therapists. I've tried it all. So when TMS was suggested by my doctor, I wad understandably skeptical. But when I came to see Dr. Bist, my reticence was greatly diminished. Dr. Bist genuinely cares about his patients and that shines through in multiple ways. He goes out of his way to accommodate a wide range of patients and does so professionally and compassionately. This is not a given in most healthcare settings, especially in terms of mental health. Dr. Bist understands the fragility of his patients and treats people accordingly. But perhaps most importantly, he does so without condescending. This comes across in the exceptional staff, top to bottom. Thank you for improving my life, Dr. Bist.

Amy Presher

This place did not help my daughter at all!! I️ never heard from the doctor and he never stabilized her on any medications, they basically fed her for a week and sent her home! Very poor stars

Nena Gay

I stayed here twice. Not the best or the worst place. Some staff eh others are great I've met a lot of very nice people. Groups are really helpful. I just didn't really like the place but its okay

Dan Meyer

I arrived at Oasis on Saturday morning January 13, 2018. Approximately 9am. From that moment on, the staff was awesome. I need to acknowledge BHT'S, Sue, Paxton, Charlotte, Barbara, Linda, Nora, and Jason (SW), on Sage Unit. I can't thank you all enough for all you did for me. I hope many more patients get to benefit from meeting you. Keep up the good work

Danielle Healy

I am a 31 year old professional woman that saw Dr. Bellota over the course of several months. My interactions with her overall were very positive; she helped me through many difficult and trying issues that I was experiencing. She also respected my desire to stay away from certain medications, and helped me to seek alternative solutions to quell my severe panic and anxiety. She is a good listener, something that, in my opinion, is essential in a good psychiatrist.

Brandy Owens

If you are looking for help don't go here They might keep your child alive but they do not provide treatment to help for their future. They will use the excuse that insurance will not cover when in actuality the so call doctors there make that call. When they don't take care to make the nurses and staff happy then in turn the care provide is bad. I don't want to see a hospital that wins business awards more than awards for service.

Olivia Sorrell

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. I spent a week here for depression and anxiety, and this place made me more depressed than I ever had been. The staff was incompetent, unprofessional, and disorganized. They treated us like prisoners. I did not have a room for nearly 5 hours after arriving, despite Oasis telling the hospital there was a room available. The showers were cold and full of mold. The sink in my room did not work. There was a lice outbreak in my unit, and two girls were quarantined in their rooms for nearly three days because of it. The group therapy was hardly therapy, and did nothing to improve the mental health of any of the patients. They moved me to three different rooms and switched my doctor two times while I was there. One time my mother called to talk to me and the staff told her there was no patient with my name. This is a horrible place. DO NOT send your children here.

Theresa G

I highly recommend the rtc unit for your child. My daughter has a great dr who genuinely cares and listens. The staff has always been helpful and the dr. Keeps in touch with me on a normal basis. It really does help.

Jess Bahe

Doctor's are not there when you need them. Staff are threatening. Rules change every day. Staff don't communicate with each other. Not a good place for help.

Chelsey Nielsen

Horrible with family. It took FOUR days of our family of 6 people calling continuously and finally complaints to the executives of the hospital just to get someone to A) talk to us at all, and b) get off their lazy butts and walk to my loved one's room to obtain a release of information so that we could make sure she is ok and discuss her treatment! I am an RN of 8 years and I have never experienced hospitals treating family like this. My loved one is now in a different behavioral health hospital that was much easier to reach and get past communication barriers.

Mike Hock

Unprofessional and dirty.

Kassi Jane

I stayed in the residential part for over a month. It was absolutely horrible. Treated like prisoners, other patients always trying to jump you (and BHT's encouraged it). None of the groups are helpful in anyway. The rules changed every day. They skipped giving me my meds some days. The only good part about my stay was my therapist. Please choose another option for your child, this place has traumatized me.

Jessica Eltringham

UNDER STATE INVESTIGATION The staff broke 2 bones in my child's body. They allowed her to overdose on someone else's medication. As off Nov 2015 the Az State Board is investigating them! The staff is mostly uneducated. They used my traumatized child as a teaching tool, by forcing CHILD to lie naked in front of 4 ASU nursing students. I could go on forever....They even held me against my will in a conference room for 2 hours refusing to allow me to have my child's broken bones treated. They did this because they caught me taking a picture of the bulletin board with the complaint numbers posted in the lobby. They also misdiagnosed my child, and treated with medications that caused serious issues including hallucinations, psychotic episodes, and gained 28 pounds in 2 weeks, which caused issues to the thyroid. You can verify the investigation by visiting the Arizona State Board of Health website.

Coco

I'd give it zero stars if that was possible. I was admitted for depression in January and it was horrible. Didn't get a toothbrush or any hygiene products, the door of the bathroom was taken off, food was disgusting, and so much more. I truly cried as soon as I would wake up and as soon as I was going to bed. Every time I bring up my bad experience here I always have people tell me that they hated it too, glad it's not just me. Don't go here unless you're trying to waste your money.

My child went here and it was a horrible experience! For as much as we paid they get treated very poorly. Cold showers, disgusting food and rude employees. Also the finance lady Creselda was very rude about obtaining payment after telling her I didn't feel comfortable making a payment upfront , but did anyway and coincidentally my account was scammed and funds were taken from my account. Be careful for this place. Take your kids to Aurora!

Beatrice Tena

This place is a horrible place the food water and cleenss worst worst room very duty food very cold I don't recomend this place don't help hungrys for the insurance money the worst place on this planet

13chigrl .

I went because of my son passing away and having to put my 15y/o dog to sleep. It was not helpful. I saw my psychiatrist 2x the week I was there, no one on one counseling. Group every day, but same topics, no focus really and it wasn't geared towards me, also art therapy, that is the sum total of what your insurance is paying for. Plus the fact that the food sucks, the BHT's (except for 2) were awful and some of the other residents were so loud and obnoxious and rude that it set my anxiety off, to the point I would pinch the inside of my arm. I don't self harm, but this place? Yeah, it made me want to. Please seek somewhere else to take your loved ones for help. This place is not it.

Kristina Nowakowski

Having been here as a patient, I can say without doubt that the only good thing about this place was the other patients on my wing (who were amazing) and the counsellors for group and Art, both of whom were personable and kind. This place really needs to monitor and discipline their support staff, techs and CNAs. Most of them seem like they can't wait to leave. I get it -- mental illness is tough to work with. Guess what? It's even tougher HAVING a mental illness. Maybe they should think about that when they are standing there gossiping about the patients and power tripping.

Destiny Sober Living

Staff are kind and compassionate. They have excellent doctors. The clinical team has some of the best clinician's in the field of behavioral health. Please know that your love one may not get what they want, but they will get what they need. I have seen bad reviews about Oasis, but one thing I know is that when a person demands Xanex, Ativan, or a pain pill, it doesn't necessarily mean they need this. Recovery is difficult and the staff at Oasis are dedicated to helping those recover from mental health and addiction issues in the right way. I don't work for Oasis, but I am a professional in the community and I have sent my patient's to them. The patient's I have sent to them have received outstanding care. Not only have these patients told me this, their families have done so as well. You should definitely do research on any facility before you go to them, however, know that Oasis is top notch!

David Kane

I had to pull my daughter out of oasis last night after she was brutally attacked by two girls. The same two girls whom attacked another girl who was sleeping just the night before and were not punished for it. Nothing was done about my daughter being attacked except for me and my wife being treated poorly when we came to get our daughter. When a staff member was attacked.the same night as my daughter by the same girls they decided that constituted filing a police report but not one for my daughter. I would highly recommend looking into another facility for yourself or loved ones for help.

Joshua Payne

These people are Nazis. I brought my fiancee here today on 6/17/2016 and they were completely unhelpful. They didn't make her or myself feel welcome. They know no hospitality. They brought her in, gave her a number and threw her into a room. Any question I or she had was brushed off and ignored. I had to go home and call management to receive any sort of answer. My fiancee is now forced to stay there against her will. She's not allowed back home until further notice. Visiting hours are between 7pm and 8pm. My fiancee is stressed and crying to come back home but they're holding her there like some sort of prisoner. This facility is not a place of healing or mental therapy; they're her to hold your loved ones and keep them prisoner until they're "fixed."

Bobbie Roman

Do not send you loved ones here. Worst experience of my life sending my son

This hospital is one is one of the WORST in the valley. We had to move my daughter after one day because of the non care she received as well as one of the staff stealing her diamond earrings. She also did not receive her medications for that day. This is the poorest run hospital for behavioral health that we have ever had to use.

If I could give zero, I would. My minor son was beat up by a teen who was 5 years older, the facility sent him to the hospital by himself, if I hadn't got there he would have gone thru stiches by self. To get thru on phone is impossible, even had staff say that's why they have each others cell numbers. Then when I got him out at 5 days the staff called DCS, stating he had only been there 2-3 days and were going to start medication "tomorrow"(they took him off all meds for the previous 4 days). DCS showed up said they WERE taking him back to Oasis until I showed them the stitches on his face and papers showing that he was admitted 5 days earlier and the copy of med sheet showing 0 meds given. Then I got a "follow up" call a couple days after discharge and lady was "shocked" DCS had been called. Also on the report they couldn't give exact days of admit ???? Really ??? I would seriously think 5 or 6 times before putting your child in this facility. I am in process of retaining an attorney due to the trauma of what all he has been telling his counselor of what was going on while he was there. Please for your child's safety and mental health, do NOT admit them here.

Robert Rub

This place needs to be shutdown!!!! The staff and doctors have absolutely no "bedside manner." Nobody knows what they're doing and they are very very understaffed! to the point that the people coming there for help and understanding end up being neglected and further damaged!! Not being able to eat or see the light of day for their entire stay!! I have never seen patients leave a mental health facility feeling worse than they did upon entering! I am disgusted with this place, disgusted with the way they treat their patients and let down by their "doctors." This is NOT an Oasis by any means!!

Mina Bernabe

Worst care and treatment. Employees are rude and inexperienced. Food is for prisoners.

Libzy

The staff are horrible. The faculties are never cleaned. It's a toxic place. Someone really seeking help will never get it here. I myself was a child to go to Oasis, and it was absolutely terrible. To be at the young age of 11, it was mortifying. After suffering from deep depression and trying to commit suicide, I was sent to Oasis by my parents without any input myself. When I got there the staff asked so many questions it was overwhelming. They made me take many tests, and a lot of which were very unnecessary. The place itself was very unclean. The only place that was actually cleaned up was the rooms where the parents were allowed, which says a lot about this place. With the parents not being able to see where there kid is going to be staying, they have no idea how their kid is going to be treated. The space the kids got to roam was very limited and you basically have no freedom to do anything out of line. The rooms were a complete mess. The shower had hair stuck in the drain. The walls were covered in pencil markings, and the bathroom was a complete mess as well, with soap spilled on the floor, the sink barely worked, there was no sign this place had been cleaned in months. It's also terrifying for a kid to be shoved into this awful place by their parents, because those are the people they trust most and for them to just be shoved in with kids all different ages (11-18 year olds) was both scarry and odd. They also let a boy cut himself all over his body and face before anything was done about it. Another girl was bawling her eyes out and they gave her unneeded medicine without parent permission, the medicine made her sleep, she was unharmed but this was terrible to do. One night two girls got into a fught, resulting in the smaller girl to have a long and bloody scratch mark from the corner of her eye to the center of her neck while she also had a black eye. They are seriously shoving kids with completely different issues together while the staff do literally nothing. The 'activities' that are said to help them, are really just arts and crafts with some sad quotes or whatever. If your thinking of sending your child to Oasis, don't, they won't get the help they need.

When I went there it was a little scary. I was in the Sage unit. Dr.Link was amazing and very understanding. He listened to my concerns and treated me with respect . Some of the staff were a little rough around the edges and a couple of group therapy sessions were POINTLESS. But I did meet some amazing people. There was some amazing staff named Elizabeth and Charlotte and the nurse Angela was amazing and very accommodating. We had an awesome group and were able to have a couple of group sessions that were very useful and helpful.

Angela Brown

My son was here for 3 weeks. I had great communication with the staff. They also made sure my son had plenty to eat. He played basketball daily and began writing in his journal which seemed to help him. They did get him in a more stable state of mind. I know there are a lot of negative reviews here but even my child, who said he didn't necessarily want to be there, said it was a good place and the people treated him well. He was also given medication but, again, this enabled him to reach a more stable state of mind.

I was trying to set up an appointment for a family member, but couldn't get the IOP coordinator to call me back. After a couple of days, someone told me that she was out sick and sent me to another person who was supposed to be able to set this up. That person didn't call me back either! Then no one at Intake or Reception would answer the phone. I am not going to trust a place with my family members' mental health when they can't even get their act together enough to answer a phone...

Please do NOT take your loved ones to this facility. From my first hand experience with this facilty, I am downright disgusted with the staff. First things first: these types of hospitals are meant to stabilize people who are either detoxing, or have mental health related issues. I had attempted suicide and was taken to this facility, because they had first open availability. If I would have known how I was going to be treated in the days to come, I would have refused and waited for a different facility. The staff lack integrity, empathy and compassion. Staff have zero regard for patient privacy or safety. Techs took away a patients wheelchair, who on file was deemed a fall risk. Nurses then refused to return the wheelchair to this patient who not surprisingly fell. The nurses and techs lied claiming the patient, "slid down the wall" and had not fallen down. On several occasions nurses referred to certain patients as ," a lost cause" or "hopeless cases". Nurses gave me double the dose of my prescibed diabetic medicine, and lied about why they had done so, to cover up the fact they messed up. I asked for a patient advocate and at first, the two nurses denied the existance of such a person which I knew right away was wrong. I continued to press asking for an advocate, and the nurses said they would call someone down to talk with me about my concerns and complaints. I was never seen and doubt the nurses ever called said advocate. On my third day of "treatment" I had been vommitting, which is from a pre-existing stomach issue. I had gone to the nurses reporting my vommitting and told them I had been feeling faint. After laying down techs brought me a trash can to be able to throw up into, because I couldnt keep getting up to go be sick in the bathroom due to being lightheaded. During said time, I had wreched so hard I blacked out. When I came to I was half on the bed and upside down head first in the trash can. I had vomit and spit dripping from my forehead and my face was red from all the blood rushing to my head. This isn't a hospital to send someone seeking help. There is nothing beneficial or theraputic about Oasis. They are not only morally bankrupt, they are dangerous.

I came here seeking treatment a few days before my 16th birthday, and I do not recommend this hospital for ANYONE. I was harassed, lied too, and used for the money they were getting from my insurance. I was only suppose to be here a week an they kept me for 2 1/2 months and wouldn't release me to my mother. My counsler was married to a police officer and had her arrested on a non- extraditable warnt. One of the staff members was consistently making sexual comments about wanting to "wrestle me" and how I was "too beautiful to be sad". Another staff member pushed me into my room and I fell onto the floor and hit my leg on the edge of my bed gashing it open. When I told the nurse what happened she told the doctor that I self harmed. The nurse told me they ran our of peroxide and she cleaned my wound with hand sanitizer. How does a hospital run out of peroxide? This hospital is unprofessional and I do not recommend this place to ANYONE for any reason.

I tried to visit my client here and they provided me with very limited visitation hours. 1 hour in the middle of the afternoon Monday through Thursday. Then when I arrived at the hospital during what they told me were professional visitation hours, they provided completely different hours which were just as limited but in the evening and weekends. There is no way that professionals who have clients here can actually meet with their clients. I assume family visitation is just as limited. Do not send clients or family to this hospital!

A little more then a month ago my parents sent me here for suicidal thought and actions. It was the worst week of my life, the staff treated us like objects, they would just ask the same questions every day, the groups were pointless, fights broke out several times, the staff acted like they were just there to get paid. I didn't get the help i needed instead, it made things worse, when they TOLD my mom that they DO NOT use a shot or any chemicals to seduce the enraged or those having a mental breakdown, even though on multiple occasions they seduced patients using a shot that just made he/she pass out. When you filled out the personal forms, they ask what things help you when having a mental breakdown, they DO NOT take into consideration any of these things but the acceptation of leaving you in a quiet room. When i personally had a mental breakdown saying,"you have to wait day or two to be released " after that i asked to be left in a quiet they refused to let me because, "they don't want to use there keys" THERE FREAKING KEYS. That's why i will never trust Oasis again.

As a substance abuse professional I have been in contact with many Behavioral health centers, Oasis is by far the worst. I would not recommend any person to this facility because of numerous ethical boundaries between staff and client. Oasis misinforms their clients using scare tactics like "I recommend you take that medication it will make it easier for you to get out of here" or "If you leave against medical advice we will petition you" Beth Pfile is the clinical director of treatment but you will not find her on any of the wards And do not expect her to be apart of your clients treatment. This facility does not offer much help to someone seriously seeking treatment. Oasis Behavioral gets away with many unlawful acts because of the clients not knowing any better. Mostly accepts acchess/Medicare and could not see them being open much longer without the state of Arizona investigating the facility. Will definitely keep an eye on this place and make sure to educate the recovery community of oasis and it's bad practices.

Was just notified that a suicidal transgender teen is being told they have a 'delusional thinking' disorder. The staff at this establishment needs to be trained and quickly before a child dies. Do not take lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer youth to this location.

While contacting a treatment facility can be indicative of tough and uneasy times, at least there is someone out there looking to ease the burden and be a genuine help. These guys understand compassion, and realize that life can change in a flash and are there to help as quickly as possible. Well established in the Chandler, Arizona area, people seeking assistance should reach out to Oasis Hospital for a dose of relief. From the first phone call, they are willing to listen to your needs and desires, and will actually take into account exactly what you are looking for. They offered my family a tour of the facility which we took them up on and they were very friendly and described the types of services provided. The Hospital appeared to have been remodeled recently and didn't have that cold hospital feel about it. Better yet, they actually take the time to give back to the community they serve. Highly recommend giving these guys a call, day, night, weekend, or holiday. I guarantee someone will always have the time to talk with you, and help you in anyway possible. I'd recommend a family member or anyone I know to Oasis for help, they saw my daughter as a person who needed help.

If you are seeking mental health treatment, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! Designed like a jail holding cell with no care to help anyone. Just a paycheck for them since you are there

I do not recommend this facility. After a single session with my daughter, the doctor diagnosed her and prescribed her 2 anti depressant medications....both with warnings that being paired with any other anti depressant can cause dangerous or life-threatening side effects. Furthermore, the medication comes along with a warning that the drugs may cause thoughts of suicide which coincidentally my daughter is in there for. I have made many attempts to speak with a qualified medical professional for clarity on my daughter's diagnosis and treatment plan and have received zero response. I attempted to speak with a nurse today but she was too busy mixing the medications (coincidentally the same two my child was prescribed) for "all" of the patients. Do not waste your time, your insurance benefits or you hard earned money on this. There is no benefit in my opinion to Oasis. Please seek help where you may actually receive quality care and have a shot at getting better.

My sister was here for a couple months and she has gotten very much better with all of the people helping her and making sure that she has s doing okay.

I'd give this place negative stars if possible. Came in with my girlfriend (we are adults; not minors FYI) in the early evening to have her voluntarily admitted for depression. Half way through the admission process she got scared and said she didn't want to check in anymore. For obvious liability and legal reasons they couldn't let her go without a doctor's approval and if she refused to be admitted they said they would start the process to have police pick her up, take her to another facility, and have a judge force her to admit. After an hour of thinking about it and reviewing some information about the facility with an employee (male & female patients are separated on different units, roommates have same diagnosis and around the same age, etc) my girlfriend asked to just be admitted. The nurses said no as they had already submitted the petition to have police pick her up and taken to see a judge without our approval and they claimed this could not be cancelled (turns out it can be actually). We were forced to sit in the waiting room until 8 a.m. the next morning and she was never given her meds (we were told not to bring them so we didn't have them) because she wasn't admitted. The next morning a new nurse came in who stated she can cancel the involuntary admission process and get my girlfriend admitted. We finally got her admitted around 9:30-10 in the morning. I left and received a phone call from my girlfriend stating she still hasn't received her meds, it's filthy, and most of the nurses are rude and would rather gossip with their fellow nurses then show empathy or help. The day after this phone call I go up to the hospital with my girlfriend's mother in the late afternoon to visit my girlfriend who states she never saw the psychiatrist the first day (you're supposed to see one within 24 hours of admitting) and didn't see them until an hour before I arrived. She also hadn't received her day medication in two days. To top it all off we were lied to and they had men and women in the same unit not even separated by a nurses station as we were told and her roommate is a detoxing druggie (so much for same diagnosis). We flip and demand copies of her medical records and to speak with the facility supervisor. The one nice nurse tells us to wait downstairs in the waiting room and she'll have medical records sent down for us and have a supervisor sent down to speak with us. Well an hour goes by and the receptionist turned the lights off on us and walked out locking the door knowing we were in the lobby with her! After calling the facility to get answers to our questions (& to have someone let us out) were told we CAN'T have a copy of the records for 30 days and they refuse to release her until tomorrow. We hang up the phone furious and when we attempted to call back the facility to have a nurse let us out they picked up the phone and hung up on us twice!!! We attempted to call the police to come have someone force them to let us out of the lobby but while on the phone with them the nice nurse came down to leave and was shocked to find us locked in the lobby and with no medical records. She said she'd complain to her higher ups tomorrow and let us out. I'll be going back tomorrow to get my girlfriend out of this personal hell and go from there. *****Picture of vacant receptionist desk after we got locked in the lobby below.

I have been seeing Dr. Bist for six years. He is deeply perceptive -- he has a way of getting right to the heart of things, and has pinpointed issues I have struggled with for years, providing profound insights that have greatly improved my understanding of myself and my interactions with others. Perhaps even more impressive, on the rare occasions when I think his analysis is slightly off in some way, he listens carefully to what I have to say and either admits that he may have misunderstood me or non-defensively explains how I may have misunderstood him. He is also extremely knowledgeable about medication, keeps up with current literature and studies, and is adept at explaining how meds work and interact with each other. I feel respected and supported by him, and his gentle and intelligent guidance has been consistently helpful over the years. I highly recommend him, both for psychotherapy and for medication management.'

3 of the staff people that had to monitor me , I felt they could care less about me and other patients. They were more focused with playing with there phones.I could go on and on but it's not worth it.If your thinking about checking your self in please do some research and find a better place to help you.

My daughter felt she was in a crisis situation and felt this might be the place for help WRONG... Instead she was held for 72 hours against her will. All personal affects were taken away. She may have lost her job due to this and received no help for her depression st all. Full of nothing but homeless drug addicted people. 4 females to 15 men. She always felt afraid and never received any counciling . STAY AWAY !!!!!

I spent 3 months downstairs at the hospital and 5 months at the RTC. I was thrown up against the wall repeatedly, fights broke out everyday and I was restrained, held down and was given a shot without parental consent. The staff downstairs truly do care. It’s the staff upstairs that are worthless. Mrs.Chris is a horrible person.

layra olivas

Well my daughter was here and they helped her with nothing. The doctor asked her then why didn't you kill herself? Who asks that to someone who has problems ?! And a girl somehow managed to go to the boys side without any staff seeing?!

It helped me with coping skills but it didn't help as much I as it thought bcuz I'm trans and they give you much advise on situations like that.

Warm, caring and extremely perceptive! Dr. Bellota immediately makes you feel at ease. Would recommend her highly to anyone seeking help understanding their issues.

Dr. Bist has been a very welcome addition to my referral list for clients. I have heard nothing but positive experiences from my clients who have worked with him; he is highly knowledgeable in assessment and medication management and takes time with each client to determine the right treatment plan for them.
