New to Phoenix and was extremely lucky to find Dr.Oparnica! She listened to my concerns about not responding to antidepressants and issues with side effects. She recommended to do a specialized test that showed which drugs will respond best to my genetic metabolism! The results explained why all of my other doctors recommendations for antidepressants never worked...only 3 antidepressants were best for me! Dr.Oparnica is extremely knowledgeable and I am so glad that I found her! Her office admistrator Roceo is the awesome! She is always friendly and a pleasure to speak with! Thank you both for helping me! I highly recommend Dr.Oparnica if you are wanting the best....she is it!

Danica has been very helpful. She listened to what was going on in my life, determined what I needed, adjusted the meds so it was not to much or not to little and it has made a HUGE difference in my life for the better.

Like many psychiatrists she doesn’t genuinely care about her patients. I haven’t seen her in months and don’t recommend anyone do so in the first place. While under her care I had a mental health crisis and she couldn’t even return my phone call. Stay far away and remember this is nothing but a business seeking to steal from your pockets without an ounce of true empathy.

If there is one thing about Danica that shines most brightly with me, it's that she asks questions and listens closely to the answers, actually talking through your physical as well as your mental health needs and concerns. She explains outcomes and possible side effects to the treatment she suggests and thoroughly provides you with options. Most importantly, though, is her compassion, she asks questions to better understand your needs, and she listens very carefully to your responses. I couldn't ask for a better person to work with as I find the right approach to dealing with my mental health.

Dr O has helped me to become my positive, healthy and happy self again. I’ve had a long struggle with alcoholism and eating disorders. I ended up in the hospital earlier this year, close to death from alcoholism. I finished a three month out patient program and started with Dr Oparnica shortly after. She switched up my meds and the healing began. I thank her so much for helping me save my life. She is very friendly and really listens. She is thorough and takes her time with me. Her receptionist is very friendly and kind too

Let me begin by saying that Danica has helped me for the past 2 years. She has been there for me and supported me. However, after a recent incident I would never refer her to anyone., I was in the hospital for OD (taking too many pills). I was at the lowest of lowest. I presented to her office without an appointment and was told I would be "fit In". I was in distraught and struggling to even take a breathe. I was agitated and desperate for help. Danica first responded to me, "I don't know what you want me to do for you?" "You are non compliant and I cannot help you". I started crying. I became upset. I begged her to help me. I told her I wanted to commit suicide at that point and needed her help. She was dis respectable to my symptoms. I needed her there. I needed her more than anyone else. I have been under my care for 2 years. She yelled at me. She disrespected me. She told me that there is nothing she can do to help. I felt loss and was in a depression psychosis. She demanded that I leave after I shut her door after she refused to treat me. She treated me with disrespect. She would not even listen to me. She told me I was not taking medication that I was prescribed, in which, I WAS. I WANT HELP. She abandoned me. She threatened to call the police and get me admitted. I am so sorry to say that she has failed me.She has always been there for me, except for when I actually needed her. It illegal to discharge a patient without 30 days notice and that is what she did. She discharged me as a patient and refused to treat me BECAUSE I WAS SUICIDAL. I was under her care and I needed her help. I do not recommend her for ANYONE! She is way to busy, only has one staff member, never returns my phone calls. She was not there when I was at my LOWEST. I am deeply saddened by this.! SEE SOMEONE ELSE!

I was referred to Danica by my Neuro doctor. I suffer deficits caused by a brain injury that requires specific medication my Neuro Dr. didn’t feel comfortable managing. After my initial meeting with Danica, we have worked together in figuring out the right medication and dosage to help overcome my challenges. Furthermore, she is willing to listen and answer any questions I may have, showing a true investment in me as her patient.

With her help, I transitioned from suicidal thoughts and tears on the daily to a woman with a smile and ambition- starting back at college, and a thirst to live my life to the fullest! All I can say is Thank You! After nearly 10 years of trying to help myself on my own I FINALLY decided to go get the help and treatment I needed. I was basically just searching for someone who had specialties in my areas of focus and I was lucky enough to com across Ms. Oparnica. We worked on a few issues over the next few weeks and made the necessary changes depending on my progress. I trusted her and her direction she was leading me too. Now almost two months later I feel the way I knew could be. Motivated, energetic, positive, clear minded, etc.. :) Lastly, on the Friday before Christmas weekend I was having an Emergency and called her office. Rocio, the manager answered and understood the urgency and was able to reach out to Ms. Oparnica. Thank you again for that Rocio. Later that day, I got a call from Ms. Oparnica and she helped me in a way no other person could have thought off. It was even her day off and she was on leave for Christmas. So many thanks!

Once again, I had the most WONDERFUL experience at Danica Oparnica’s office this afternoon. I’m still pretty new, as a patient in her practice...but already, I feel SO welcomed & TRULY cared about...not only as a patient, but also as a person, in general. Danica’s assistant/office manager, Rocio, is such a sweet girl...I love seeing her friendly face & smile upon checking in! During my last few visits, Hannah (Danica’s intern) was very helpful with the process of putting together a treatment plan for me, alongside Danica. And Danica...I honestly can’t say enough! Her knowledge & expertise in the field of psychiatry is impressive...but even more exceptional, is her genuine warmth & compassion toward her patients!! It has taken such a LONG time for me to find a psychiatric/behavioral health provider that I truly “connect” with...and I am SO HAPPY to have finally found one in Danica! I had been through multiple prescribers over many years looking for one that could help me with my multiple diagnoses. I found Danica who is the first one in my entire adult life who managed to sort out my various previous diagnoses (depression, ADD, PTSD, bipolar, etc.) which turned out to actually be only ADD and PTSD, and then fine tune a combination of medications that has significantly changed my life. I finally have enough energy to manage a somewhat normal daily life and have even been able to make progress in work and home life because of an increased baseline of functionality. She’s phenomenally helpful and knowledgeable.

She wasted my time as a psychiatrist. Her assistant took initial interview notes for more than an hour, then Danica herself showed up to verbally harass me before I politely walked out. The interview, by the way, focused on NOTHING positive about my history or situation, only the negative. And I seriously doubt the notes were worded in any way except to undermine me as a person.

Danica has done a wonderful job with me. I saw her initially a long while ago, and I brought to her concerns about an undiagnosed condition. She gave me some worksheets to review over the next few weeks, and started me on meds for it. I’ve taken a variety of meds for my depression, but she really helped me find something that works. I used to take Effexor and the side effects were so bad. She found me a modernized version which has helped wonders. Plus, the pill is pink and it makes me smile :) I had a year long lapse in treatment due to a personal situation. When I came back in to see her and get started, I had expected we would slowly be getting back on track. I wasn’t looking forward to waiting several months to get back on what worked. She helped me get started much sooner, and ever since things have been great. She was helpful in guiding me to therapists, though I am still working on getting regular appointments. Another wonderful thing is that she’s very LGBT+ inclusive, and she has always helped me understand anything I was confused about.

Denise's bedside manner is the best I have ever encountered and her knowledge in regards to Mental Health is the finest you will find anywhere!
