If I could give this place a zero I would. I went in for an initial visit because my regular provider wanted me to see psych. I went in, explained my meds were not working anymore. Was on a medication that I cannot just quit because it gives me horrible withdrawls. She cut that way down, then added another med. Took as directed and both times it gave me horrible anxiety to the point my husband was about to have to bring me to the hospital. Called their office, spoke with a nurse who said they would get a message to Dr. Lacey Podey (This is who I initially seen.). Did not get a call back after 24 hours so I called back. They said THEY SEE THE MESSAGE. she just never responded or called me, so they sent another msg. Called back 24 hours later because still NO CALL BACK! I was fuming because I did not know what to do. I have never felt so betrayed by a physician who is allowed to have a medical license more less a prescription pad! Never ever will I recommend this place to anyone!

This is the 4th time my son's appointment has been at least 1 hour over appointment time to be called back. Today his appointment was for 10am (got here at 9:50) and at 11:50am he was called back and he walks out at 12:15...So 2 HOURS WAIT TIME JUST TO BE CALLED BACK! RIDICULOUS! VERY UPSET!

While I have no issue with the Nurse Practioner that my granddaughter is seeing the staff is beyond implorable. I was literally hung up on, deliberately, while asking serious questions about a prescription that needed to be filled. Not refilled, but filled. Totally unacceptable, rude and unprofessional. I can't express my anger, disappointment and distress all at once nor in words. Unbelievable.

This place is HORRIBLE! My Dr went to a different location. She set me up to see her nurse practitioner. She also left a few months later. I have not had my medication for almost a week now. The practioner set me up to see another Dr. I have been trying to get my medications filled, I have called almost every day for a week. No one has returned my phone calls. I have been going to the Trussvile location since 2013. I have had problems getting messages to the Dr concerning my prescriptions several times. They have a TERRIBLE ANSWERING SERVICE!!! If I could give the a zero rating I would.

Horrible! They cancelled my appointment and didn't bother about telling me. Had this appointment scheduled over two months. I drive all the way to Trussville through severe weather and the girl up front said they couldn't see me. Then she told me they cancelled my appointment. I'm like why? No answer. She said I would have to reschedule. I said no. I asked why was my appointment cancelled. She said she noticed they cancelled it on thier end. I asked to speak to the office manager. The unprofessional rude girl up front gave me a card to call and make a complaint at their scheduling department. I said I needed to be seen and if you can work me in. So...waited well over an hour and was seen for ten minutes with a male jerk doctor there. I specified I wanted a female. The so called doctor I saw gave me medicince that did not agree with ne. Called thier office and waited three days and no call back. I called the office again and just rudeness! No help! Didn't change or reduce meds like I asked. Had me starting out on the highest dose of everything! They don't care there one bit. It's all about the money! Also noticed they charged my insurance, and me as an emergency visit!!! Wasn't an emergency visit...they just screwed up the scheduling. Never again!!!

I lived in the montgomery area all my life until about 4-5 years ago, when my family moved to Blount County. In my 30's I was diagnosed with recurring major depression and suffered through multiple, 12 or 13, admissions to hospitals to stabilize me so I would be safe and not hurt myself. My psychiatrist and therapist in montgomery began seeing me in the 1990's until I moved to Blount County. My two doctors literally devoted their care to me to keep me safe and alive. I say all of the above so you'll understand the despair I went through to start all over with Grayson in Trussville. It was, frankly, traumatic for me to make the change. I first saw Dr. Moise who was great until she moved. Then I saw another Physician Assistant for a short time until she left. Now I see Dr. McClure as my psychiatrist. Those three professionals treated me with the utmost respect and dignity. I really like Dr. McClure. When I first arrived, I began seeing and continue to see Dr. Hammel as my therapist. She is simply wonderful. She reminds me of my therapist I saw from the beginning of my illness. She has helped me through some difficulties since I've been seeing her. I am now 61 years old and still need regular medication monitoring and therapy, just not therapy on such a regular schedule. I've learned multiple coping skills and how to love myself. Though a major amount of treatment and healing was done in montgomery, I was able to walk right into Grayson & Associates and be paired with just the right therapist and psychiatrist. The doctors in this practice, for me, have been there when I need them and I trust them totally. I offer high praise for the practice, but very specifically Dr. Hammel.

We have used them for years just recently we are not getting the service we used to get.... I called at least 5 times regarding my child that sees a doctor at Lakeshore Office and NO ONE returns my calls and they were serious calls. I have a child with serious issues and now Im starting over trying to find a new doctor which most descent psychiatrist have a long waiting period. Very disappointed I thought we had found a Doctor and Friend.

Great doctors!! The wait is horrible though!! I go in about fifteen minutes before my appointment every time and I’m waiting for about two hours every time I go before the doctor sees me.

These reviews are not correct at all. I go to the Center in Trussville and it's amazing! The staff is really nice and there is not a big wait time. You are allowed to take people back if you really need to. They are genuinely concerned about you as a person. They always check how you feel with meds even if you have been taking them for a while. They also have very experienced employees who make the whole thing very you-centered. They make the experience more personal and thoroughly talk you through some problems. I have never had an issue here. They always call or message you about appointments; to remind and to tell you that you need to reschedule because something has come up. Overall, I think this place is way better than my old therapist.

My NP is good. I complained about the ladies at the desk talking where we could here them. They were talking about patients. One of my problems is I always feel people are talking about me. It never happened again. They will let you stand there for awhile to see how you will react. So , put on the fake smile . Tell them how great of a job they do. They will eat out of your hands. No problem with n.p. The councelors are there to listen not the psychiatrist. That is in movies.

Worst costumer services I’ve ver experienced. Been on the phone for hours trying to get someone. I’ve left a message for a nurse about a pretty important matter. NEVER received a cb. I work For a Drs office and I call ALL of our patients back that day or first thing the next morning. I’ve never in my life dealt with such terrible costumer service! One girl new they were ab to go on lunch and wouldn’t even listen to me and transferred me and it right away told me they are on lunch from 12-1 this was at 11:58am. So it hung up on me. That’s while I had Been on hold a hour. I call And call and the line is busy. I was On hold 40 mins again and it got to my turn and hung up on me. Now I’m on hold again with 6 callers ahead of me. Something needs to be done about this. This makes me want to change to a different Dr and as I can See I’m not the only one complaining about this. Also let’s not forget the front desk lady who was in their defense the only rude one but you don’t greet patients the way she did or make them feel less then top priority. I’m a medical secretary and I see Tons of patients a day and we all in the practice make sure each patient knows how important they are and their needs are met.

Don’t let the low ratings scare you. The doctors, nurse practitioner, and counselors in this office are amazing. I cannot day enough good things about this office. Wait time is usually minimal as well. I have been to several different offices and this is the only one that I feel comfortable in and that has helped me. The staff at the front desk are more than welcoming and helpful. The one and only problem I have with Grayson is the customer service via telephone. A lot of the receptionist or operators are rude or are not properly trained. Other than that, the place is phenomenal. I also wish they were still in network with Medicaid for children.

I hate to even give one star! I have been seeing doctors at Grayson and Associates since December 2010. It was the beginning of my mental health problems and they only go worse as the years went by. I saw several doctors and they were all bad. The last doc I saw there refused to let my husband go back with me even though I wanted him there. I do believe that's illegal. I got progressively sick under this practice to the point that I do not remember March 2018. Luckily, my husband got me out from under them and I will tell everyone I can to NEVER go to this practice. I have heard bad stories from other former patients too but I will only speak for myself. Do yourself or your family member a favor and NEVER EVER go here. Worst experience.

I have used the Trussville location for years for my son. At one point, we were set up with a Nurse Practitioner and could never get issues with his medication handled in a reasonable time frame. Then we were told that there was a psychiatrist that was taking children. We love her, but she recently transferred to another office that is too far away for us. For one of his appointments, I took off of work, my mother-in-law checked him out of school and drove him to meet me at the appointment. We get there and the office staff says that we aren't set up in the system for an appointment. I let them know that I have the card the appointment was written on at home, and they say they will work us in. We waited for about 8 people to go before us and then they called us back. That's not really working someone in. That's waiting until the rest of your appointments are finished and then calling us back. Either way, we recently got set up to start seeing another nurse practitioner since his psychiatrist relocated. I was apprehensive about doing this. His first appointment with her, the doctors office calls me right after I took off of work and checked my son out of school (45 min before his appt time) to tell me that there was an emergency and she needed to go. I have 3 children. My time off of work has to be reserved for real appointments. We rescheduled for today. This morning, I get a call from the drs office letting me know that the Nurse Practitioner needs to "cut out early today" and that we either need to come earlier, or reschedule. INSANE! I am transferring my son's records to his pediatrician ASAP!

Receptionists at each office should take phone calls and maybe the ratings would go up. Poor customer service people they have here. Unless you’re going in person every time you talk to them.., don’t bother.

Easy set up. Fantastic employee staff willing to help you any way they possibly can, within their powers, to assist you with any problem you may experience. Amazing doctors who truly car about you! Who actually help, and talk to you! Besides, just writing a script for you to see if that helps your problems..
