Dr. Abolade has been treating a family member for dementia for a couple of years now. And although I do not regularly write reviews, I know choosing a mental health professional can be frustrating. It took three for us to finally find her! She is very genuine and clearly stays informed about the latest treatment options. Most importantly, she does NOT prescribe meds just to be prescribing meds!

my mom tried to get me a appointment but they said they wouldn't take me even though they take kids from 4 through 12 even though I was 10

I recently had to reschedule an appointment due to a wisdom teeth surgery scheduling conflict, which was the only date I could get the surgery on. After being left on hold for 20 minutes and having to hang up and call back, I was informed that the only next available appointment would be in October. This is the last month for refills on my medications. When I called back, the secretary acted like she unaware I was left on hold for that long despite her being the only one operating the phone. I will not be going back here.

Ashley Purcell

I attempted to make an appointment. I was on hold for almost 2 hours. I cannot see myself spending my money at a facility that would allow a patient to sit on hold for more than 20 minutes. This is very unprofessional. This facility will have to have major changes before I am willing to even consider this facility.

Melissa Schubert

Wonderful staff, who made me feel comfortable and cared for. They took their time with me and really personalized my visit. Can't wait to go back!

Kimberly Moore

I had my first appointment today just to get me on the books about my history. Although I haven't seen the therapist or the psychiatrist the staff was wonderful from what i could see. I wish I could get in to speak with the doctor but if she is as good as I was told by a lifelong friend, then it should be worth the wait. The one thing that got my attention was the staff although very professional, laughed if something said or done was funny and that made me laugh which I definitely needed that.

After 6 months of watching my teenage son (EB) deal with total despair, we saw Dr Abolade. She was an ABSOLUTE 100000% lifesaver, not only for my son, but our family. My son was in a downward spiral, and she brought him up from the bottom depths of life. I can’t thank her enough. ❤️❤️❤️ Dr Abolade EDIT I also would like to add a side note-my son and I had an initial visit/consultation with Dr Abolade. We were to follow up within a couple weeks. After that initial visit, I had acquired some very dire information regarding my son. I called the office ASAP. Explained what was going on, my son’s life was really at stake, and her staff made sure to squeeze us in the very next day. It was a very late appointment, her last of the day. Dr Abolade was tired, had been up since around 3am she said, was on her billionth cup of coffee I’m sure, but she still made the time to help us. Couldn’t have asked for anything better ❤️❤️ Thank you again to Doctor And Staff

Dr. Abolade will tell you the truth sometimes it is a shock. She makes derision based on her experience and education to best deal with her clients. That is why I see her.

Glowy Gypsy

The worst doctor ever , prescribes you medicine and doesn't take the time to see how its working or explain why it has you feeling a certain way or at least tried, wouldn't help all she wanted to do was prescribe 4 different pills or send me to hospital when I wasn't even suicidal . Don't go to her she just wants your money and can care less about you. I should have listened when other patients told me not to go to her waste of time and now my symptoms are worse. Thanks for Nothing!!!!!

Missy Norris

Dr Abolade is the best! I saw her for the first time when I was at my absolute lowest and she had me smiling by the time I left. She waa very compassionate and determined to help me. She actually listened to me and didnt rush me out for her next patient! I hope I never have to see anyone but her!! Highly highly recommend

In a crisis situation--assumed I would meet with Dr. Abolode whom I had the appointment--NO-a counselor--then a month wait on seeing Dr. Abolode. Needless to say-I was not happy with their mis-communication. My insurance was incorrectly filed and cost me out of pocket an additional $56. Cannot review Dr. Abolode--but my experience was very bad. He husband has an amazing practice!

KIMBERLY HURST

Dr. Abolade was very professional and compassionate. She spent extra time with us and made us feel comfortable and valued as clients.

Doesn’t care about patients, only money!!! I am totally baffled as to how medication compliance was so important and detrimental to my health a few days ago, and today it was totally dismissed because I couldn’t satisfy a $175 no call no show fee....never received a reminder call for an appointment set up months prior, was told that was a courtesy that I’ve received for years!!!! I thoroughly stressed that purchasing a particular medication took all the money that I had. I had to purchase it at full price before my insurance would pay anything. I even asked if it was possible to make a payment arrangement for the no call no show fee. I was advised that was not possible, and I could not be seen nor could the injection be a administered due to the balance. I was prepared to pay my co payment and also the office fee of $35 for administering the injection that she prescribed!!! The purchase of the medications allowed me to reach my deductible. It is a sad day when money takes precedence over care with a physician!!! I was also told by her, that she doesn’t owe me anything!!! If you reference my billing over the past years, and also the oath or creed that-was give to the Medical Board, I was owed a quality of patient care!!! I no longer need, or desire Grace Point’s services. I refuse to also continually be verbally disrespected by her as well. I only allowed it because I had a established patient relationship there, and I learned to over look it. You have the right to run your office as you like, but as a physician you should care more about your patients, and not the money!!! Keep your disingenuous responses, I only want people to be informed!!!

Beware. Please READ!! I was a patient of Dr Abolades for 3-4 yrs or so and her husband before I started seeing her and I can say without a doubt that she and her staff do not care about your well being. After I sought treatment at another facility for opiate addiction from a prior injury( which I was on for 1.5 months so my parents wanted me off asap) my next appointment after with her, I was going through the worst time of my life and almost committed suicide, and told her this!!! She said that I could maybe go to Bradford but could have cared less, upon telling her of this addiction treatment she became very abrasive and actually ended the appointment and refunded my money and told me not to come back, and wouldn't give me a refill( so I had to stop klonopin cold Turkey for 4-5 yrs on 4 mgs a day) It was hell! I had to go to the ER and literally almost passed away. Even though I was trying to get help with all my issues. So I would basically pay $175 to see her for 5 mins and load me up with meds. And I am struggling with anxiety, sleep, depression, etc now that she abruptly cut me off. Everything is way worse now. She or her staff will probably not respond to my review or find a cunning way to manipulate the situation by saying we would like to fix our problem or just flat out say it was a liability to have you and we put our money and business over the way you feel. I know 100% in my heart she could care less about how I am now or even if I'm alive yeah it's that bad. Stay away. As for the therapist, I can't comment because I never saw one so..Now I'm seeing a psychiatrist that cares and actually diagnosed me properly so i am getting the right care. Dr. Abolade labeled me and tried every drug in the drug cabinet.

She saved my life ! She and her staff are truly a gift from God.

I am writing to thank Dr. Caroline Abolode for the care she and her staff have provided my dad over the past several months. I recently tried to thank her personally in her office but was so overwhelmed with gratitude I could barely speak. No words, only tears. My dad had a massive stroke seven years ago and as a result, was misdiagnosed with dementia and over medicated under the care of his general practitioner. He was becoming more and more unrecognizable. He was nearing a catatonic state. His memory was failing him, as his physical strength weakened. As a result of the stroke, he began to cry for unknown reasons and was extremely depressed. Under Dr. Caroline Abolode’s care and with Michelle McLendon's professionalism in counseling, he has been weaned off two medications (side effects memory loss and drowsiness

I have been working with Dr. Abolade and her team for about 2 - 3 years, through a very difficult time in my life. Dr. Abolade is thoughtful, caring, and also very straightforward, which I appreciate very much. I don't need her to sugar-coat anything, I need her to help me, which she always does with skill and professionalism. I have also had counseling with Judy Heinzman and Annie Maddox, both of whom were very helpful - I always appreciate their time, their professional assessment, and their thoughtful support. I particularly appreciated Annie helping me through a panic attack I was having as I arrived for one of my appointments with her. I highly recommend Grace Point Behavioral.

Very unprofessional office. They will not return phone calls, have no after hours or on call physicians. I would highly recommend finding a different Dr.

I have seen Dr Abolade for several years! She is great! Yes, sometimes she will tell you the cold hard truth that you might not want to hear, but she does it because she is there to help you, not sugar coat it or baby you. She has always done well at listening to my symptoms and problems and adequately prescribing the appropriate medications. If you really want help, she is the best. If you want someone to baby you and tell you what you want to hear or hold your hand, well that's just a waste of her time and yours. God bless!

Great staff. And Dr. Abolade is awesome! She really cares about her patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Abolade for 5+ years and honestly without her I don't believe I'd be alive today or at least not living the quality of life I'm able to live because of her care and expertise. She has helped me manage my mental health throughout various stages of life, from transitioning into a career and back out, after I had my first child, and just as I try to manage being a wife, mother, student and employee while living with a mental illness. I trust Dr. Abolade and I can't say that with all health care providers. She has always placed my best interests at the forefront of the care provided, even when I wasn't able to want the best for myself - that is unheard of outside of family (and sometimes rare w/family)! Dr. Abolade and the staff at Grace Point Behavioral have become just that to me, family...because of the care and time they take with their patients to ensure they feel welcomed and receive the best medical care. I truly appreciate Dr. Abolade and so does my family. Without her I wouldn't be able to be the woman I am today and for that I am forever grateful! *To add context of this review, I'm a 30 year old Black female/Christian(COTH)/married/homeowner/mother of one/Master's degree.* I've worked with a lot of medical providers and to find one like Dr. Abolade is truly a blessing. Thank you Dr. Abolade! Thank you GPB staff! Your hard work and dedication to your patient's health is not going unnoticed! You are TRULY changing lives!

Dr. Abolade has been an incredible and by far the best doctor I have seen. Dr. Abolade has really taken the time to understand what I am going through. She has taken the time to adequately prescribe the right medications for me . Since seeing Dr. Abolade my symptoms have improved and I feel like a new person. Being able to live life day to day without a constant feeling of fear and overwhelming anxiety has been wonderful. I wish I would have came to Dr. Abolade long ago! I recommend Dr. Abolade to anyone that needs help! Hands down best Dr. on this side of town!!!

I have not met Dr. Abolade personally myself but her Nurse practitioner was very friendly and she listen to me as well as my son. I have been searching for help with my son for years and now that he's under Dr. Abolade I feel that there hope for my son. The medicine has help him tremendously. Again thanks for the help and all you do.

My experience with Grace Point in general, and with Dr. Abolade in particular, has been exceptional. Dr. Abolade does not rush you through, with a prescription that may, or may not, be appropriate. She listened closely, and understood my needs extremely well. I highly recommend her practice.

Andrea

Grace Point Behavioral is an excellent choice for dealing with some of the most unexpected pivotal moments in life. Dr. Abolade and her staff are by far one of the most caring and professional behavioral health practices in the Montgomery area. They really do care about the people and the communities that they serve. I've never had a bad experience with the way Dr.Abolade conducts her business. I honestly admire her approach to following strong protocols in properly testing, diagnosing, and treating her patients instead of just writing prescriptions for medications. Please, keep up the great work Dr. Abolade. P. S. It's by his GRACE that Montgomery has been blessed with Grace Point Behavioral. Respectfully, Andrea G.

Dr Abolade is the absolute best as far as I’m concerned, she helped me through a very difficult time in my life and continues to help me! I moved to Biloxi MS several months ago and wil still travel to her office twice a year, because she’s the only psychiatrist as far as I’m concerned!

Tracy Mason

Although she refuses to see me, I can't give a bad review. She has been the only doctor who has been honest with me. My mother and I were over the moon when she began working with me. It was the first time in a very long time I didnt feel like giving up. Now I don't know what to do. She and her staff made no recommendations for another doctor. I wanted to give a dreadfully horrible review, but I cant. Just dont give up; someone cares even if it's not Dr. Abolade and her staff.

Dr. Caroline Abolade has been a blessing in my life. I have been seeing Dr. Abolade since 2010. Over the years I have seen many psychiatrists and therapists trying to get the help I need to no avail. When I finally met Dr. Abolade she spent a lot of time really getting to know me. The first session she asked a lot of questions and talked to me at great length to get a clear picture. That is something I had not experienced in the past. Her diagnosis was different from what others had told me. She started me on a new medicine regimen and I have been a different person every since. She saved my life! I still struggle with my condition but now I have some joy in my life. Before I met her I was lost and miserable. I will be eternally grateful to her for what she has done for me. She also has a wonderful staff. Everyone is always kind and courteous. I have come to feel by Dr. Abolade and many of the staff as being like family. I have moved quite a bit in my life and I have often told my family if I ever move out of this area, I will make a trip to keep my appointments with Dr. Abolade as opposed to finding a new doctor. That is how happy I am with her and how little I trust other doctors. Good mental health doctors have been hard to find in my experience and I will be holding on to mine! If I had one complaint, it would be that it is hard to get worked in to see her at times when I feel I need her. I think that is a testament to what a great doctor she is. I know she has many patients and that is a small price I’m willing to pay to have her as my doctor. If you have an appointment, keep it, otherwise you may be waiting a while but she is definitely worth the wait! Thank you for everything, Dr. Abolade!!

Valorie Roberts

Dr. Abolde is amazing and my therapist was good at listening, but the other staff (front counter) have been rude to me and repeatedly yell at me in front of others and laugh at me. I don’t appreciate it coming from a mental health facility. Overall it’s a nice place, I’ve just had several problems

Shumeka Robinson

GREAT Staff! I must say I was skeptical at first. However, they have helped me tremendously and I am forever thankful!!!!
