Thanks to Dr. Farah Khan, I have been stable for several years and thriving in my life. She always listens to me and tries to help. I travel an hour to see her because she is one of the best. Definitely “a standout.”

Dr. Khan is the best psychiatrist around. She has an in depth knowledge and understanding in ALL of the different options when it comes to treating mental health issues. She has been a tremendous help to myself as well as my family's understanding of my own personal mental health and educating those around me in order to better understand what I am going through.

I have been seeing Dr. Farah Khan ever since my diagnosis of Colon Cancer. Mentally, I was devastated by my cancer diagnosis and was withdrawn from my family. Dr. Khan helped me to begin focusing on things I could control and helped me to change my outlook on my treatment. She is a patient listener, compassionate and caring. Dr. Farah Khan has been an excellent partner in my cancer battle and I would recommend her to anyone.

I can honestly say that I gave myself some time before writing this review. I didn’t want to write a review too hastily here. But after several weeks, my feelings have not changed concerning my experience with Dr. Khan. Firstly, I had to wait at least 45 minutes before I was seen. This was my first appointment (and last) with her, so I am not sure if the long wait time is typical. During my session, she was eating peanuts the entire time and rarely made eye contact. She also took a personal phone call on her personal cell phone in the middle of our session. This made me feel unimportant and dismissed. I don’t feel that she ever really cared about why I was there. She seemed uninterested the entire time. When answering her questions, she came off as judgmental. She would wrinkle her face and look disgusted at any answer that she didn’t approve of. I really wanted to leave there more hopeful, but I actually left feeling worse than when I went in. I never felt any sort of compassion or empathy from her. I felt more like a formality...another client checked off the list. I wish I would have read her reviews before I went. It would have been very beneficial to me. I feel like I wasted my day by going there. I left her office in tears, and the worst part is that I don’t feel like she cared. Please, my advice is to find you a doctor who is attentive, caring, compassionate, and present.

Shady business practices and a doctor who doesn't listen to her patients. A doctor's office should not have "hidden fees" like it's a payday loan. She charges (at her discretion) an additional "therapy" fee if you talk about things "not related to medication". 1 This rule is not universally applied, you're just charged extra when they feel like it, and 2, I have a hard time thinking of many things one would say in a psychiatric session that wouldn't in some way relate to medication. If you have a time limit for your appointments, say so, don't show up late, try to rush your patients through like cattle and definitely don't ask them personal psych-related questions and THEN charge them for answering them. She is consistently late for appointments, but charges an insane cancellation fee. She started our first visit by pushing me to get a "genetic medication compatibility test", which is not covered by my insurance, and currently has little peer-reviewed evidence demonstrating its value. Then she tried to convince me to start on several medications that I/immediate family members have responded to terribly in the past, and would ignore me when I pointed that out, saying "we have had good luck in many patients treating with xyz". You cannot try and sell a genetic test as legitimate while ignoring family history. I've never had a psych professional act this callous.

I have been a patient of Dr. Farah Khan for over 8 years. I have been her patient since she was at APS. She definitely goes "the extra mile". She is reachable and caring. This review is from someone who has seen her for years, not by people who love to judge people after 1 visit and get upset when they are not prescribed what they want. Thanks for all your help for so many years.

I called to get an appointment. The staff who called me said " Hi my name is so and so. She got some basic information and then asked if my cell number was with ATT. What does that have to do with making an appointment. Then she wanted my credit card info. Very unprofessional. We will not be treat with anything but care, class and dignity. Rude with no discretion. Please retrain or get a new staff. Bad for business.

How can anyone give this woman 5 stars!!!! She did nothing to help my husband with his depression. Just add another pill, and that is not helping just doping.

Dr. Khan helped me exactly in the way I needed. She is very direct, explains all of the science and why it works or does not, and gets right to the point. For me, this was perfect, since I want to be solidly convinced on every reason something is recommended or not, or why it can work or not, and not be an experimental project. She is the first doctor I have had that actually backs up decisions with proven science and actually uses gene testing to substantiate decisions! This was finally a breath of fresh air in the medical field, especially since I have heard over and over ‘your side effects are all in your head’. Wrong bad doctors! Science backs up why certain drugs work for some and not for others. Too bad, other doctors who live in the dark ages. Genetic testing is where medicine is going, so she is on top of the science, and probably ahead of it, so some patients can’t take that, they just want to be stroked and told what they want to hear for attention. That is NOT why I sought her help, I just wanted to get straight to the point. I do agree the front desk is strange and credit card holding is not industry standard, but I’ve never been cheated, and just be considerate and follow the rules of respect about cancelling in time if you need to. Weighing it out, the benefits of what Dr. Khan offered outweigh the less convenient business office.

Dr. Khan maybe a good doctor, but I wasn't impressed with her staff. I called Monday to make an appointment. I set it up for Thursday. It would have been my first appointment with her. I received a voice mail while I was at work that I needed to call back and give my insurance information. The first chance, I had was Wednesday. So, called on the way home from work. I tried to give my information. There was no record of me making an appointment. The person on the phone acted like she didn't care...even called me Sandra, which isn't even close to my name. If I had not of called to update my insurance I would have wasted my gas money and left work early to go Dr. Khan's office. The receptionist obviously didn't care and just went on trying to reschedule my appointment to almost two weeks later. It was the fact they acted like they didn't care, called me by the wrong name after I stated it twice that really got under my skin. I also don't remember receiving an apology. SMH Seriously?

The perfect blend of Psychiatry and Counseling. Dr. Khan is a doctor that doesn't push pills and rush you out of her office. I actually get to talk and come up with goals to make progress. She is a breath of fresh.

Dropping Khan and Rabbani as my doctors was the best decision for my health. I was a patient for nearly three years. They were late to every appointment that was scheduled and getting prescriptions refilled was an enormous hassle month after month. Don't expect to ever get in touch with either Doctor, (I was assured that a 15 minute session every six months was all the time I needed, and told not to expect anything more). Dr. Rabbani spends most of his time away from the office and it really shows. Save yourself the trouble and frustration and find a Doctor who practices FULL time.

I have been seeing Farah Khan for 8 months in this time she disregard all the times i told her my medicine was not working and kept lowering and upping my dose (still didnt help) Today I went in thinking my appointment was at 9:40 apparently it was at 8:40 I had made a mistake, the wonderful receptionist quickly tried to help me fix my mistake since there had been a cancellation. Khan walks out and bluntly says that if I wanted to be seen I should have been on time and that she just didnt have time to see me and I needed to come back another day unless I wanted to wait around for a cancellation. I was honestly shocked by the way she spoke, it was insanely rude and uncalled for, the receptionist was even shocked since their was already a cancellation. Needless to say she was unhelpful and I waisted 8 months waiting for her to "realize" I needed something different and will not be making another appointment. If you go here I truly hope she helps you more then she did me which is not saying much.

Dr. Kahn is really great. She is straight forward and to the point, funny and just enjoyable to be around. I am usually anxious when talking about myself but she made me feel at ease. Dr Kahn knows her stuff, and has already made my mind at ease by taking me off medications I should not have been taking, that my other dr prescribed. I was taking 5 medications feeling lousy and she is going to get me down to one. The only one I need! There is no doubt in my mind that dr Kahn will set me up straight. Plus, I was able to get an appt the very next day on Saturday! No waiting! She is truly the best in my opinion!!!!

Dr. Farah Khan is well-trained, respectful, compassionate, wise and easy to talk to. She is thorough in her assessment and diagnosis, and an expert psychopharmacologist. She puts max effort into everything she does. She has contributed enormously to the improvements I've made in my life. I feel lucky to have found her.

Under Dr. Farah Khan's care, my life made a complete turn around in a few months. She is knowledgeable and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an emphatic, easy to talk to and caring psychiatrist. I had an excellent experience with her office. They are prompt with returning phone calls and everyone working there is really pleasant. I could not be happier with my decision!

I like her. She's intelligent and kind. However, I think I just don't like being prescribed medication by someone who doesn't know me, as well as not putting me at ease about the medication by going over what to expect and all of the potential side effects, or taking my severe chronic fatigue or other issues into consideration. I didn't see her for very long because she gave me a drug that messed me up big time and then didn't believe me when I reported this to her. She claimed I was on too low a dose for too short a time. Totally unacceptable. ALSO: Her office hit me with an unexpected charge they couldn't explain and the itemized bill made it look like I didn't actually owe nearly as much as I paid. Update: I now have a voicemail recording from her office stating that she will only refill my antidepressant under the condition that I remove this review. How is that ethical? Today is Friday and my primary care doc is closed on Fridays. I have no one else to reach out to & will be without medication until Monday. This is definitely not okay.
