My issue with this place is that you cannot talk to a live person even just to make an appointment. You have to leave a message and I never receive a call back. It makes me wonder how the people that have written all of the positive reviews ever got in for an appointment. I have bipolar disorder. When I am going through an episode I have to be able to talk to someone to get help. Sadly, this is the norm with most places that I call. It is impossible to get help when you need but people wonder why the number of people with mental illness is so great. The answer is we are unable to get when we need it so we have a psychotic breakdown or try or succeed in commiting suicide Nobody cares about the mentally ill. Good job mental health providers.

My Daughter has only seen Dr Benaknin twice and we were told today that he will no longer accept her as a patient because she missed an appt. Not only that but we all as a family have been going to this place for 7 years. This man is a quack. The only reason we changed was because our old Dr retired. I didn't think people in this field turned there back on people who truly needed help. He is a horrible person. He needs his license revoked!!!!!!!! Go at your on risk!!!!!!!

Dr. Benaknin is awesome! Too bad I lost my federal insurance assistance because I can’t afford the $180 for each visit. I will say that the Office Manager Libby Reed will run your card without your permission. She did it to me and caused me to be overdrawn. My bank gave me the money back. I had planned on filing criminal charges against her.

Dr Benaknin is absolutely the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. He takes the time to listen to your concerns, to explain different options for medications and their side effects, and asks for your concerns about these medications. He makes an extremely panicky situation a breeze. I would recommend him to anyone dealing with psychiatric issues.

When I told Dr. Benaknin I was feeling irritated today, he stated I'm going to have to end this session, as I do not feel safe around you anymore. He stated he did not want me as a patient. This was my very first session and I didn't do or say anything that would make this man afraid of me; however, I am a Muslim woman and wear a hijab. That must be it. Don't go to this establishment, as there's no telling who else that allegedly discriminate against. He wasted my time, as I had to fill out 45 minutes worth of paperwork and drive to the office. Not only that, my feelings were very hurt. After I left the office, I just went to my car and cried.

Im not sure about some of the below reviews as Dr Benaknin did initially not want to prescribe some of the drugs I take and I think some of these reviews may be do to others having the same experience. When he explained why he did not like the drugs I was inclined to agree with him. No doctors before him told me about the scary long term issues with my drugs and for that he deserved 5 stars. He was polite through the entire visit. I think some people rating here likely did not get what they wanted and got angry which is a crappy reason to down rate someone.
