This weekend I had the privilege of reading an article, Published by Pennington & Associates titled Probable Event Analysis (PEA). As a Former Chief of Police and current Police Officer with over 17 years’ experience, I was very interested to see exactly what this “PEA” was all about and how well it could be explained. After meticulously reading each sentence, thoroughly going over each paragraph in an attempt to discredit this article, thinking and trying to convince myself, this was just another attempt of “those” defense attorneys getting those get the “bad guys” acquitted…..I was wrong, I got schooled, enlightened and shown an efficient way of conducting and analyzing an investigation. In my opinion, the article was thoroughly researched and was certainly well written. A prudent Chief of Police, would incorporate this Probable Event Analysis, into their method of investigating.
