Submitted a request to have something time sensitive served. I got an email from Ron the next day with a price for "rush service". He sent a paypal request for payment the following day which was paid immediately. Sent him an email late on that 3rd night asking if he got payment. Confirms the email at 2:22am that he received the money. His reply with "yes. Thank you." Not a tentative delivery/serve date or NOTHING. You would think that if someone paid you for a service that has yet to be fulfilled, a courtesy update would at least be obligated when you confirm payment. A week later, we send another email to ask for followup. (crickets chirping) Almost another week passes and we send out a final email expressing our discontent as we have to file legal paperwork based on when he was going to be able to fulfill his prepaid obligation. The day after the final email (almost two weeks of no responses) we put in resolution request with paypal. Isn't it funny how nothing gets a message across like losing money?!?! Low and behold we get a status update. He prefaces it with the fact that he was OUT OF TOWN and had made attempts during the week but didn't process updates, and it was late so he couldn't reply..... YET it was easy for him to reply he got our money at 2:22am. How was he able to make attempts to serve our letter when he was out of town? The update was dated the exact morning we put in for a paypal reversal to contest our payment. He couldn't provide an update prior to that date because it never happened. He finally fulfilled his obligation the afternoon his payment was being contested. Case closed, mostly.
We sent him in an email with some constructive criticism that he should try to keep people in the loop if his schedule is delayed. Most people can be very understanding but when legalities are involved, with time sensitivity, respect is a door that swings both ways. It hasn't been 24 hours since the request of payment reversal and he is bothering us about cancelling our reversal request. We were patient for almost 2 weeks but it hadn't been 24 hours and we got 2 emails. Our prompt payment should not be met with unresponsiveness and rude excuses as though we've burdened him. We should have asked for the refund of the "rushed service" but whatever..... He NEVER even APOLOGIZED. The audacity of such arrogance. While we were not happy, we were at least civil and tried to help him improve his business with constructive criticism.
We have every dated and time stamped electronic communication siting in a folder ready to back our account of this experience.
If you use his service, please do so with some caution. Maybe he had a bad couple weeks and it was an isolated incident with us.
